If you are not yet completely signed in to XBL or you simply did not connect to the Black Ops servers, Mule Kick goes away. Try logging into multiplayer before you start a match. :)

Paris sounds good for a first map. Hopefully they keep it simple, and add a second map like Five for those that are already familier with zombies. Could you imagine what it would be like for new players if we started with Moon when Black Ops came out?
-
This is for sure the best strategy out there for Moon. I tried it two days ago. Before round ten I had Ray Gun, Wave Gun, and Gersch Devices. I cleared round nine with no problem, the strategy worked very well. I had almost finished wave ten when I saw that no more spawned, just about four zombies were left. I drew them closer to the middle for a safe shot with the Ray Gun. Boom, all windows go out! I wish I could have tried the startegy for more than two rounds, but it was very effective for both!

I agree with all of it, nice job! Chicago sounds like an awesome map. Also, we've seen by MW3 that Titles/Emblems can be earned by playing in other game modes like Special Ops, so I bet we could earn some in zombies. I was actually born in Chicago, I go back quite often with my family to see friends.

I like a lot of these. It makes some perks go hand in hand with others. Double Tap and Deadshot Daiquiri, Speed Cola and Stamin-Up, etc. However, I think some need some changing. Overall, they are fantastic. :)

He means like normal people that aren't zombies. You know, looters like when a disaster strikes? I know that, but I was wondering what they would do. Now that I look at my post I see it wasn't worded very well.
-
What do you mean by looters? Do they steal points or something similar?
-
I like the idea of Pro Perks, but I don't think you should have the perk pro permanantly. I like that in zombies, every player is equal at the start of every game. The only way to be better is to practice, and the only advantage you will ever have is your own skill. Having an advantage as soon as you buy a perk doesn't seem like zombies to me.

Mind if I join you? 7:00 CST right?

I don't think it is like Skyrim, it's a neat idea. However, randoms could make this pretty annoying. It seems like it would be better if you could buy shin guards of the wall and barriers going up faster would be an effect of Speed Cola or Double Tap.

Medals - What are they and how do they work? [UPDATE]
JakeDuck replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Site News
You still get a medal for it at least. Not many have taken kindly to the new medals, but you have to give them a try first. *Hint hint ZotD* -
DoA Round 80 gameplay (of me!)
JakeDuck replied to xFaTaLx RaMpAgE's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't know how you do it. The highest I can get to is the fourth wave of the one with the red barrels. (Wave 28 right?) Good job! :) -
I did not mean to offend you MurderMachineX, I'm very sorry. I like those trailers too, just the older ones hyped me up much more.

I think the main problem is that zombies is progressing very fast rather than too big of things being implemented. There are three wonder weapons that were only used one time. (Scavenger, VR11, and JGB) Five/six if you count Moon. I liked the slow progression of the classic four maps that introduced cool new features gradualy. You don't have to read every part of this post, just look at the huge difference between the size of text describing the changes that took place. -Nacht der Untoten introduced zombies itself and the Ray Gun. -Verruckt introduced electricity, traps ,and perks. First person talking for the first time in Call of Duty. -Shi No Numa started traveling systems like the zipline, new traps, and the Wunderwaffe DG-2. Perks now are random, this only appears here, Shangri-La, and No Man's Land on Moon. This marks the first appearence of the four heroes. -Der Riese implemented teleporters, Monkey Bombs, the Bowie Knife, and larger easter eggs. Most of these changes stayed in the next maps. However, Black Ops maps usually were much different from the others. -Kino der Toten made Creepy Crawlers/Gas Zombies, one new trap, and limited time PaP. Thundergun added. -Five turned zombies from horizontal to vertical. This is not seen again. It also made a new boss, the theif. One new wonder weapon that only appears here and on Verruckt. New charactors added. -Ascension used lunar landers, not seen again. I figured these could have been used on Moon, but likely for storyline purposes they were not used. Monkeys were used as bosses for the first time, but they are not seen again with the exception of Shangri-La monkeys. Large easter eggs started being rewarded. New perks are added. -Call of the Dead used a boss that is constantly in the game. This is somewhat kept as it evolved into the Napalm, Shreiker, and Cosmonaut zombies. The zipline is now free and player controlled. PaP is always available after the power is turned on, however there are time periods when it moves and is not available. Two wonder weapons are added that are never seen again. One perk is added. New charactors are made. -Shangri-La mainly improved Call of the Dead's features so the game is more interactable, and made boss zombies come at regular rounds. Monkeys make a return in a different form. Perks are random. Another wonder weapon is added that is only used here. -Moon completely changed zombies. Less gravity, bustable windows, two/three new weapons, Cosmonaut made as mix between George Romero and Napalm zombie, PES, Hacker, one new perk, No Man's Land, random perks on NML, and diggers. Zombies it evolving quickly. I honestly think Treyarch needs to slow down a bit.

I think it is a little too far from the base of zombies. This seems more of a Dead Island thing to me.

You are not getting the point are you? What's the point of doing the survival part if that isn't the main game? This is exactly the point I'm trying to make. Firstly, it's more fun figuring out the story as you go along, via radios, etc. Secondly, I want the survival feeling. I want these combined. I want the story to be all in the survival part. That is the true fun. Personaly I don't want a campaign that gives away details. Those should be left in the main game that we have now. I want it to be a "Tell me a story" type of game from the perspective of the last non infected alive. We could not see how everything happened, but what it was like for those not involved with 935. Think of it as playing as the Rangers in the Modern Warfare series. The true story with Makarov is in the TF141, but the Rangers is the story of what it was like for others.

Off topic, but is that Doopliss in your avatar?

This is what I was thinking too. More like the CoD campaign in level format though. Zombies could come in a way similar to waves so it gives you a chance to move up, and when you pass their spawning area they stop spawning there. L4D gets annoying when it is simply spawn zombies, move back, kill, then move forward during the entire game. ZOTD, we are not talking about replacing the way it is now, we are talking about something that could be added.

Medals - What are they and how do they work? [UPDATE]
JakeDuck replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Site News
They look great! Six instead of eight seems to be better. It shows the medals better without cramming them. -
Do you think we could put a reminder on the home page? There would probably be a better turnout if less people forgot. There is a small blank space right above "New Forum Posts" that would be perfect for a small banner.
-
No, what you get in Hardened and Prestiege is usually outside of the game bonuses. The only time you would every be matched only with someone else that has it would be if the special edition included exclusive maps. The campaign is no harder, so there is no need to worry. I think that if they incorperate zombies with Elite they will release an old zombie map every month. They will likely make the only way to get every map by purchasing Elite premium until months after when they make a Rezurrection type of map pack. Activision are only after money, they are extremely predictable.

What is your most favorite on wall guns?
JakeDuck replied to Nathan169's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm a big fan of the STG-44. When going wall guns only on Der Riese, it is crazy fun to use. Great with Double Tap and Speed Cola gets rid of the slowish reload time.
