Extinction Detailed Trailer Analysis Oct30-2013
JakeDuck replied to way2g00d's topic in Extinction Mode
Sweet stuff! I think the Weapon Specialist sounds like my kind of playstyle. I'm pondering buying Ghosts to try this out. -
What Were the Most Iconic Elements of Black Ops II?
JakeDuck replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I too really liked the new objectives, it gives me hope that they'll expand on the side modes a bit. I feel like Origins was the start of a zombie Domination mode, or maybe King of the Hill. I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the new game modes. Even if they are flawed, I'm willing to bet that they will be a lot better next year. Zombies has switched to a multiplayer engine rather than a coop campaign engine, everything is changing. -
Does suiciding accomplish anything
JakeDuck replied to TEHELFIE001's topic in General Zombies Discussion
For me, It's a way of saying, "I will take myself out because these zombies cannot". It's sort of a pride thing for me. Suiciding at a high round in zombies feels like a win rather than a prolonged loss. -
This is AWESOME! Thanks for the .dds format, I've always found .jpg files which don't have as good quality. I was wondering, could you post the other maps too? Also, has anyone found higher resolution versions of PhD, Tombstone, Who's Who, and Vulture Aid? This is what I've found. These are large, high quality, and are the size of power ups: But these are smaller, like the ones on the HUD: On another note, here's a good wallpaper 8-) (Open in new tab)

Haven't played origins, so here's the five I know! Most Difficult: 1. Nuketown (Juggernog always comes late for me) 2. Die Rise 3. Mob of the Dead 4. Tranzit 5. Buried Most Fun: 1. Mob of the Dead 2. Die Rise 3. Nuketown 4. Buried 5. Tranzit Best Layout/Atmosphere 1. Mob of the Dead 2. Die Rise 3. Nuketown 4. Buried 5. Tranzit I'll also add in my list of my overall ratings. Overall 1. Mob of the Dead 2. Die Rise 3. Buried 4. Nuketown 5. Tranzit

Very useful, thanks! I'll keep this in mind when it comes out for PS3. :)

so how many controlers have you went through?
JakeDuck replied to R102609's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I have three controllers, two from the PS3 I got in 2010 and a pink one my sister got. All of them are in really good condition, only one of them has a minor problem on L2. It doesn't really snap back after pushing it as much as it should, but I'm fine with it. I'm usually the only one who plays, and if I am REALLY pissed I'll still make sure to throw the controller on my couch. The way the L2 button broke is from throwing it at the couch and having it bounce back to the floor. -
This is awesome! I've been waiting for this for a long time!

Would the Paralyzer help it at all? I larger jump may get you out.

This bug perfectly fits your scenario. Sometimes when a perk is bought and you go down, the game assumes you have the perk, thus not allowing you to purchase it. There is no fix as far as I know, however it will be fixed the next time you play. Make sure to clear the area of zombies before you get a perk!

It looks like Samuel jumping with a zombie shield and a Denizen on his face.

...Did I really just learn this now? Thanks! I love using this upgrade, even when my bank is full I love racking up massive amounts of points. Seeing the numbers fill up the corner of the screen is simply awesome. It's really good for giving your friends points on TranZit and Buried, is almost guarantees 250,000 in a single playthrough.

I can't wait to hear it, I've already learned Hail to the King on guitar, and I'm so pumped to hear more in Zombies! I really want them to add Carry On to TraZit, but that's just wishful thinking.

What Would Make DLC4 Unforgettable?
JakeDuck replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
The main issue that has been brought up with Five and CotD is that they use different characters than the O4, so if the maps are brought back, we are going to be playing as CIA agents. Still, I agree that the BO1 maps should come back. I want all of the maps just because I want one giant collection of zombies with a single disc. -
What Would Make DLC4 Unforgettable?
JakeDuck replied to Ehjookayted's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I would love to be able to play with the O4 and the N4 at the same time, but only with four players. So, instead of teleporting to a new area, you just change to a different character's point of view. For example, you start as Dempsey, but by the flip of a switch you are sent to Misty's point of view. It would make the sidequest insane if there where two split locations and 8 characters. Now that your character's name appears next to your points, you wouldn't lose track of who you are. Points and guns would transfer from character to character. However, to expand it further, it could be made so that you were forced to play as the other team in order to obtain certain guns and perks. So the AN-94 could be N4 exclusive until you obtain it and switch to your O4 character. People would get what they want, a map with every main character, but without Grief or 8 player survival. -
The map icons for TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried now glow blue or orange for completing the sidequest on Richtofen's or Maxis's side, respectively. The radio sound and electric sparks come from inserting the NAVCard into the NAV Table.

Every time I try to use a Time Bomb in order to get a second free perk bottle, the last ghost flies downward into the map, unable to be killed. Is there any way to fix this, or make it despawn? The game is effectively ruined because of it, as zombies will not spawn during the ghost mini-round. I've had to reset many good games because of it, it is so frustrating! :x

I was playing Grief on Borough yesterday, and an enemy threw a meat at me. He barely missed, but for a split second I saw a "Press Square to ______". Have you seen this before?
-
You have to link your YouTube account to your Elite, then I think you can upload it straight from your game.
-
???explain mate?(i dont paly grief much) When an enemy is prone, it is possible to "Flop" on top of them by either dolphin diving on top of them, or jumping and crouching over them. When you land on the enemy, it downs both of you. You sacrifice yourself, but if it is the last enemy remaining it is worth it. Alright, I'll add that to the "Griefing" section for now. Thank you everyone for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

I know for a fact I've heard this before, but I only thought it was random ambient music. I've heard this before in Cell Block Grief when I'm the only one alive.

When you wrote this it kinda kickstarted an idea in my head to write a guide on Cell Block, so here it is if you want it: http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=137&t=34333 I might write more guides for other maps or make one large Grief Complete Guide.

Hello, all! Cell Block is regarded as one of the most difficult maps for Grief mode. Why? The main reason is the lack of Juggernog, the most essential perk in all of Zombies. With this guide, I will show you how to succeed in this unforgiving map. Welcome to The Full Cell Block Grief Guide! The Map- In order to be successful on this map, you must know everything about it. Drops, perks, box spawns, and traps must all be known. Setup- This is the main setup that you will be striving for. You may notice that it is not insanely powerful. This is because it is meant to not be based around high damage, but rather making you a stronger player. Purchase these in order; however you may swap the order based on your situation. This map is all about brute strength in you as a player, and headshots are a must! If you are not a very strong player, invest in the Pack-a-Punch before investing in perks. In Grief, it is difficult to get many points, and the box is much more expensive than you may think. It may as well be 1000 points per hit! Only invest in the box when a Fire Sale is active. The Strategy- This strategy mostly relies on camping in open areas where you cannot get stuck, so keep this in mind when moving. Green text means a general tip to keep in mind, blue text is a good trick, and red text is a warning. Griefing- To take out the opposing team, griefing is needed. First we will look at the basic attacks. Now for the tactics you can use! That is all I have for now, however more may be added later, and video demonstrations will be included. If you have any questions, suggestions, or other strategies, please let me know!

Is there any specific map, or just in general? I have a ton of tips for Cell Block, I could give you a full guide on that, if you want. :)
