looks promising, even the multiplayer maps. one thing that i'm up in the air about is the probability of the new 'turned' zombies mode being exclusive to those who buy the DLC. seeing as how they are currently showcasing it on a closed area mod of the "diner" locale ( i guess now we know why the diner was initially blacked out at the map selection menu) i see no reason why they should intentionally fractionalize their playerbase. one thing mw3 did right when they introduced 'faceoff' (scaled down 2v2 multiplayer maps) was to offer the mod FTP for all owners along with two stock maps, and offering exclusive maps through dlc. while vanilla subscribers were barred from the dlc playlist anyone who owned the game still had access to the new mode. i wouldn't be saying this if 'turned' was shown as exclusive to new dlc maps, but since its obviously not, why am i arbitrarily limited to only playing it exclusively with other dlc holders...... i cant be the only one who feels this way. but other than that the vid has me convinced that maybe this time i don't have to take my optimism of die rise's prospects with a grain of salt

welp, now that we've figured it out i'll be on my merry way...

funny thing is, tranzit's banal and crushingly exhausting marathon of failed intentions has left me so disenfranchised that when reading OP i could not stop thinking 'well, anything's possible now' :(

i assumed the same thing when i saw the achievement. all doors must be opened once in the same game, but you don't have to time it so that through some miracle all turbine doors are open simultaneously. the achievement can also be done local split screen on any difficulty. ps dont forget the semtex door in town.

I've never experienced this. What system are you playing on? 360? PS3? PC? i've encountered this numerous times in the tunnel. kiting a group of 10-15 or so and opening them up with an lmg will throttle your frame rate for a few seconds between all the death animations, splattering heads and flying limbs. its hardly a game breaker, as you'll only encounter the issue when you drop a huge herd in rapid succession... nothing shocking. i'm on a 360.

its a solar panel. there is a particular brand "COS" in mainland china using them to power pumping systems and from the looks of it particular panels can be manufactured as small as 3 inches. http://shuilishi.en.alibaba.com/product/555395834-213254617/photovoltaic_solar_panel_DC_solar_pump.html of note the panel's capacity lightening and power surge protection is a key selling point.

until your post i really hadn't even considered this. unfortunate. after rezurrection there was really no reason not to assume that nuketown zombies would eventually see wide release. But activision disavowing the only real selling point of this year's hardened edition within 2 weeks of release on such short notice deals their fans a pretty thinly veiled shill...

i'm having a difficult time following the relation between your header and the content of this thread. maybe file this under craigslist.com missed connections? regardless, see below for an example of how you may want to buttress the credibility of your claims beyond those of the adorably unfortunate thetechgame.com forums... be mindful of your readership holmes, lets just chalk this misstep up to the blinding grief precipitated by the loss of Flattus Maximus...

A new Shooter Game will be revealed... on March 6th!!!!
sans lumiere replied to Pride_J-A's topic in Single Player
this announcement is in no way related to call of duty. at least until the end of 2012 activision and microsoft are still bound by the console exclusivity contract.... in such a context its absolutely ludicrous to humor the possibility of a COD 9 reveal in an official playstation publication. http://investor.activision.com/releasedetail.cfm?ReleaseID=479305 LOS ANGELES, June 14, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced today a multi-year agreement that will continue to bring Call of Duty® game add ons and map packs first to Xbox LIVE online entertainment network. The news was revealed today to a capacity-crowd at Microsoft's Xbox 360 E3 press conference in Los Angeles. The agreement which began in 2009 now extends for all add ons and map packs from the mega-blockbuster Call of Duty® franchise through 2012, including Call of Duty®: Black Ops, the follow up to the largest entertainment launch in history and one of the most-anticipated titles of the year set for release Nov. 9th. "Our Treyarch Studio is doing something special with Call of Duty: Black Ops, which is why we're thrilled to announce this Xbox LIVE agreement," said Philip Earl, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Activision's Call of Duty Business Unit. "This agreement reflects our shared and continued focus on creating the most compelling and exciting content releases for fans around the world." With billions of hours logged online, Call of Duty titles consistently rank atop Xbox LIVE's most-played charts, making it the largest Call of Duty community of any entertainment system. "With 25 million members, Xbox LIVE is the industry's premier online gaming service that establishes the best in cooperative and multiplayer online play for blockbuster franchises like Call of Duty," said Marc Whitten, Microsoft's corporate vice president of Xbox LIVE. "With the release of game add ons and map packs coming first to Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE is the place to play Call of Duty for years to come." -
may just be coincidental, but i've only had a score fail to capture on the leaderboards when i've teleported out instead of staying in NML until i'm downed. as far as tabulating rank position i'm under the impression that post-NML rounds survived have no bearing. does anyone know how time duration factors into the ranking system? theoretically if two people ended separate games with the exact same amount of kills/points but one person did this in 5 minutes and the other in 10, it would seem to make sense that the 5 minute run would place higher. regardless OP thanks for posting b/c i had never even thought of running No Man's Land as just a separate mini-game. hella addictive. i've been trying to find a comfortable circuit to run all afternoon, haven't hit my stride yet. topped out at 38 kills/5510 points/4m26s...work in progress.

attempting this with others is a chore, especially when you lose one of your 7 rounds if someone kills the crawlers early or god forbid hits a nuke. try it solo, - if in the first three rounds you haven't received the usual ammo drop, 2x points, you may want to restart. not mandatory at all but its encouraging to get that head start early on. - ride your pistol and knife as far as you can without getting dropped. when that simply failed to remain an option i grabbed the ak and rode that out until round 8. lastly, perks... ignore them for the time being. at the onset of round 7, if you have the coin make like a squirrel and go nuts. quickrevive and phd could be lifesavers. OMG.. that would be awesome, hoping that you arent going to get in a group of zombies lol when you are going down.. did you not just describe the gersch device? just humor this thought... this may well be the 'moon' treyarch is hinting at here... http://apolloreality.bravehost.com/

erroneous. do you honestly think that ravensoft is in any way capable of retooling black ops' entire physics engine in order to service a one off dlc map?
-
haha. rollins is going to be the romero of the final map! maybe instead of dog/monkey rounds we're going to have to deal with harley from the cro-mags? maybe the cosmic silverback was just pissed because nikolai broke edge and takeo wasn't posi enough...

Classic Maps put into Map-Pack for Black Ops.
sans lumiere replied to Turbodude917's topic in Classic Maps
It is an absolute drag that the OG maps remain illusive to those who wither didn't have the foresight to buy the special edition discs or wanted to hold out spending the extraa billfold rigt out of the gates. The real kicker is that many of us assumed that the maps would later be available to the general public after a period of exclusivity. The unfortunate reality is that in a time of rampant piracy and a decreasing need for big box retailers as physical game discs are replaced by digital downloads exclusive content is one of the last incentives at a publishers disposal to fuel physical copy fist run sales. Look at how many Retailers pay huge sums to maintain fleeting sales by securing rights to exclusive in game content to people who lay a deposit down for pre orders. The situation with black ops is just a variation on the theme. ... This is posted from my blackberry, I'm aware the typing is probably a mess -
the dilemma of reporting someone on XBL...
sans lumiere replied to sans lumiere's topic in Black Ops
true, and don't get me wrong, i bit my tongue. a necessity when encountering such a demographic. exposing bigots and homophobes to logic may yield dangerous, even fatal results, not unlike those of exposing seagulls to alka-seltzer or juggalos to a 4th grade reading competency test. -
We’ve all been there, modded lobbies, glitchers, laughably intolerant xenophobes (god BLESS ‘MERICA!) and, garden variety general douchery ….. but a few weeks ago I encountered something so sublimely infuriating that I not only red flagged this user via XBL, but also formally addressed emails to both Microsoft and Activision…. Its possible to create almost anything with the black ops gamertag generator right? You’re given like 11 or something layers upon which you can stack a huge variety of geometry and stock clip-art images. The dude in question here managed to pull off something quite spectacular… true to his clan name (pun intended, it was [KKK] ) he had created a menagerie consisting of a pastoral hillside decorated with a burning cross, white stick figure w/ conical hat ,and an implied lynching ( black ‘man w/briefcase’ clipart suspended beneath a tree). This totally threw me for a loop. Believe me, I hate the very idea of moral relativism with the heat of a thousand suns, but in this case the sheer metric tonnage of WHISKEY.TANGO.FOXTROT. made me A: feel obliged to say something And B: wonder how this had slipped by long enough for me to get infuriated and report it in the first place. So let’s get candid here… In your COD tenure (zombies or otherwise), have you ever filed negative feedback against another gamer? If not where would you draw the line, and what would make you?
