  1. I can do it, and I love helping others too (I frequently complete it with randoms just so they get the achievement)
  2. it originates from a different topic, and I appreciated it.
  3. you Seem to Use capitalization At Strange places
  4. freezing doesn't kill you, ya just can't move. You "break out" when George hits you or you're shot by a teammate, I don't know if zombies still chase you
  5. While this is true, the trick is finding the banana. I also did not know that about the VR-11, so many thanks to the OP for that tip. I was hit with one by accident yesterday and wasn't going down, I thought I was just juking like a madman. Turns out my skillz are not quite as 1337 as I had suspected.
  6. Since this has both written instructions and the videos in the sig, it might be a good idea to sticky this thread. Moreso if we had the solo instructions, so I'll put them here too: Step 1: Go to the Heros' door in the lighthouse, slash until they ask for the fuse. Step 2: Go into the room above, look for the fuse on either the desk with the bulletin board, the desk with the batteries, or on the floor next to the cabinet Step 3: Put the fuse in the door, wait until Nikolai activates the security system Step 4: Disable the security system by blowing out the red lights on the generators. They can be destroyed with frag grenades, Semtex grenades, or the Scavenger. They are located as follows: [*:10vsv0e1]Directly in front of the Heros' Door [*:10vsv0e1]Behind the shed housing Stamin-Up (you must look through the back window to see it) [*:10vsv0e1]Between the ship and the lighthouse (path that is blocked with lifeboat wreckage, cleared for 750), looking left if going towards the lighthouse, right if going towards the ship [*:10vsv0e1]Off the side of the ship and in the ocean, near a cliff-face next to Double Tap Root Beer Step 5: Return to the door, Richtofen will ask for a "long schtiff golden rod... with fingers on ze end uhhhhh" Step 6: go to the controls of the ship, move the left lever down once and the right lever down 3 times. Spin the wheel until the different colored spoke is pointing down and to the left. A green light will appear Step 7: (need VR-11 and Ray Gun or Scavenger) Shoot a zombie with the VR-11, he will run into the green light at the base of the lighthouse. As he is being drawn up, shoot him with the Scavenger or Ray Gun until he is dead (no weapons need to be Pack-A-Punched). After his corpse is drawn all the way up, the golden rod will fall to the base of the lighthouse Step 8: Return the Rod to the Heros' Door, putting it up the Pneumatic Tube to the left of the door. They will attempt to leave, but the fuse will blow Step 9: Slash the fuse to fix it, they will teleport leaving you with a Death Machine perk (which is the Wunderwaffe DG-2) Step 10: Fry some zombies
  7. I'm gonna try to do co-op with my friend tonight and see if we can get 2 DG-2's at the same time
  8. I always get the sickle before nog
  9. Ive had that laugh too, it happened when I killed him. I thought I got no perk or power up, but it turns out that it just appeared in a different water pool for some reason
  10. the ray gun doesn't seem to be much different than any other maps, same with Scavenger and VR-11. I mean sometimes I wouldn't see anything for a while, then I got the Scavenger twice in a row, then nothing, then VR the first time I spun the box. Seems pretty random
  11. Correction, he goes from blue to blue/yellow to yellow as he gets weaker. He dies after yellow. And I verified the first part by exclusively knifing him to death multiple times
  12. I haven't come up with a comprehensive strategy yet, but I just rocked out to 25 solo with this: 1-2: just slash, easy enough 3: start slashing, as more spawn move to the cave. Keep slashing and moving back quickly, if more than 3 line up fire 1 clip, then keep slashing. Move up and into the lighthouse, and down to the 2nd floor. Once at the second floor, slash only (one slice, back up to recover, then one more slice) until you have 4000 points 4-5: Once you have the 4000, open the back door of the lighthouse and go into the cave. Slide down the chute, buy the sickle. 5-10: Slash only, work your way back to the start, turn on the power, buy juggernog. Keep slashing and using the pistol when you have zombies lined up for max points, no reason to buy any other gun. Buy 3 other perks (I go with Quick Revive, Stamin-up, and Speed Cola) GEORGE TIME! Once you have all 4 perks, make a crawler. Lure George to a body of water, and constantly slash/back up. It takes about 10 minutes, but he will go down. Offering you another perk (you can get all of them) Once you kill George, return to the 2nd floor of the lighthouse and just run around it in circles. It works best if you don't open the Hero's door from inside the lighthouse. If you have completed the Easter Egg, you will get the WunderWaffe from George when you kill him. With this, it lasted me 3 rounds each time I killed him. The screenshot was after the last time I killed George, I had opened all the doors and hit the box until I had the ray gun and the VR-11, and still had a bunch of points to spare at round 14. And all the perks, of course. From this point I basically would get the waffe, go back to the lighthouse, and kill zombies with it. Pretty simple. George comes back every other round, I think (you get a round with him gone, then he comes back). If he walks up into the lighthouse, then you need to change strategy. I personally ran to the top, took the zip line down, waited for some more zombies to fry, ran back to the starting area, ran to the ship, flung over to the lighthouse, and did the same thing all over again. It got me to 25 pretty easily, when I died it was because I was completing the easter egg for another free waffe, and the time between when the gang ships off and when your waffe is delivered gave the zombies enough time to close in on me. But friendly tip: you can still get max ammo's with the waffe, and its awesome.
  13. for the numbers, I read this and it seemed simpler: http://www.nextgenupdate.com/forums/bla ... olved.html maybe some screenshots of the radios and which foghorn is which. But what you have is more than enough for my friend and I to follow the steps without having to pause and scan the videos constantly! Many thanks for your efforts
  14. [brains] for you, its a great help!
  15. I see people saying "I would like 3arch explain (fill in the blank) because it would clear up a lot of stuff". They don't explain it for a reason, keeping us guessing is half the fun. And explaining it only opens up room for plot holes, which are annoying
  16. the sound itself hasn't confused me, but what has is when I go to activate a rock and it was already hit (in solo), or when I'm outside the light house and the song starts apparently at random
  17. It took me like a week to realize it was in the level to begin with, so I'll just point it out to everybody: its across from speed cola. Go up through the cave, into the lighthouse, down to the bottom floor, and through the back door (into another cave), and down the ice chute to get to it. I believe it costs just as many points to get to as in Ascension. Just wanted to point that out for players like me that bee line to the ^melee before anything else
  18. from what I can tell, Call of the Dead takes place in present day. Danny trejo wasn't popular (especially not for a starring role) until very recently, Sarah wasn't until 90's, Rooker was in a TV show about zombies a year ago, and Englund has been active since the 70's
  19. -there is no special or correct way to kill him (theories abound on youtube and other sites), he is just a massive HP tank. Hitting him enough with any weapon will kill him -he takes damage both in zombified and human forms, its just easier to hit him when he's standing in water as a human because he doesn't chase you -as he gets weaker, his light turns from blue to yellow to red. Blue seems to have the highest HP, yellow and red go faster (it took me a full un-pap'd raygun and a death machine to get him to yellow, significantly less to kill him completely) *wunderwaffe does not seem to affect him (not 100% sure about that) -He's a dick
  20. I'm gonna come out and say it: I HATE youtube guides. Pretty much every one I've seen for the Egg has been a video guide, and its very annoying (have to sit through several minutes to figure out whats going on). So it would be nice if one of the many people who made or understands these to do a good write-up, with just basic screenshots showing what exactly you're supposed to be pressing. If not, I'll do it myself later this week
  21. I dunno, I think its kinda cool the way that works. That way the DG-2 is reserved for people who have unlocked the egg, but you can't just get it by mistake either
  22. This does work, but its not without its problems. The #1 being getting a team willing to do it (honestly, if I was on live and 3 people were doing this strategy, I'd be out roaming the rest of the level by myself. I can't camp like that). Lack of room to move around is another issue, and ammo problems would be very serious. But for the basics, its more than solid.
  23. I'd rather have the PPSH
  24. Depends on the map for me. For Kino, I use the AK74u or the M16. Both have a high enough ammo capacity to actually regain what you spend on the ammo (unlike any other weapon). In the high levels I run laps around the entire map, so they're both right en-route too. For FIVE, the M16 is way out of the way for my route, and I couldn't even tell you if or where the AK is located. So instead I go with the MPK5, since I can group together the horde running around the lower part of the 2nd floor, and then just walk around the top buying ammo when I run low. For Ascension, its a free-for-all. I grab guns at random, sometimes PAP'ing and sometimes not. It never seems to make all that much of a difference, if I need to move I never have much trouble doing so
