how often does one get double points and need to/have time to hack a teammate points at the same time?

You odd little astronaut...
aegisknight replied to Tankeo Dempsaki's topic in General Zombies Discussion
the astronaut has the same health and movement as the napalm zombies. He teleports in using the same means as a hellhound He can grab and steal the same as the Thief. These are observations I have made, something to build upon. -
Winter's Howl, Ray Gun, Zap Gun
aegisknight replied to aegisknight's topic in General Zombies Discussion
well, do we know anything about the development of either weapon? -
What should the prestige addition include?

I can build a thundergun, and I am considering doing just that when I have the time -
Why haven't we gone back to the Moon?

1. we aren't building more nukes 2. nuclear submarines could reach us very easily -
Why haven't we gone back to the Moon?

6 months ago, and it left on time. The chinese program only started a few years ago and is basically copying what we finished decades ago. -

have you been introduced to the United States' newest Mars rover? No? you'll have to excuse me for being unimpressed by Russia's failure to land a glorifed RC, or India who had NASA holding their hands every step of the way. China has only begun its first manned missions, mostly to space stations we built. We have the designs and know-how to build an elevator to space. The only thing we need to complete it is another small advance in another field we are unquestionably dominating. We have, by far, the most advanced space faring technology on the planet. -

we still have the most advanced technologies, we're just not sending that much into space. -

aegisknight replied to IamTankDempsey's topic in General Zombies Discussion
that was george bush, and the plan was scrapped, like I said. I believe once the development of carbon nanotubes into larger chains is accomplished, the space elevator will be constructed and exploration to the moon and beyond will be possible. But not before. -
So I was playing with a friend on Moon yesterday, and we wanted to move some points between us to get juggernog. We both had hacker, so I was gonna donate 500 points. It happened to be Juggernog, and surprisingly we had double points. So when I hacked him, he got 1000 to my cost of 500! So its a great way to nab points in the early rounds, it adds quite a bit of value quickly. Hacking between two players for the 30 seconds can gain thousands of points, which is a pretty big deal before round 10

$$ thats pretty much it. We had plans to return to the Moon about 12 years ago, it was a platform put forth during Bush during his election campaign. A small Moon outpost would serve as a forward base for manned missions to Mars. His proposal was put forth to mimic Kennedy to get the United States excited for space exploration again and put popular support behind NASA funding. The program was axed after 9/11, and all of its proposed funding went to the newly created department of homeland security, and the defense department to fund the wars in iraq and afghanistan. -
if it doesn't have to do with the main story, whats the point? That said, in the next installment I would like to see some new main characters
-
well the concept art was pretty sweet, but I'm sure there is more. There will probably be some quiet updates to fix "server stability" or "rebalancing" that adds more to the terminal at some point
-
now where's the fun in that? how were the images extracted? I believe the Der Riese server on the Terminal may become an important part of the next viral campaign, so it should be watched closely
-
no, thats not what we've been working towards. We're trying to figure things out bit by bit, not have the whole thing handed to us
-
ideally that would never happen. By the time that happens, the game will no longer be fun
-
we know barely anything. The entire point of this site is that we don't know anything and we are trying to figure it out cooperatively. Handing it to us on a platter defeats the entire reason we like the game
-
yea... that would ruin everything we've been working towards, and would not be fun at all.
-
but it wouldn't be fun. Zombies is fun because it is absolutely mindless entertainment, but then upon closer inspection there is a deep and intricate story behind it. The fun is being given a little bit of information, trying to compile it with what we got before, and expand. The biggest attraction, the reason it has gained so much of a following is because after several years of research, still have no idea what is really going on. We have clues, we are working with these clues as best we can, but each new map opens up more questions than it closes. A campaign serves only to shut doors and give answers. "what happened here?" oh, here's a 2 minute cutscene explaining exactly what happened here. Case closed. CODZ would not exist with that type of game. We would have no mysteries to be solved, no questions to probe. I wouldn't be all that attracted to the game, because making these conjectures and connecting barely visible dots is a huge part of what makes it so fun.

So I was playing moon, and login: teddy password: is a liar I couldn't make this work on the Der Riese server, but maybe someone else can figure something out with it?

a stand-alone zombies game would not be fun.

the best prestige I can think of is unlocking the PaP skins and sights for multiplayer edit: oh, I thought they meant for a prestige system in zombies. For the prestige edition, a plush monkey bomb -
I've been meaning to make a thread about this for a while, but I wanted something more concrete to work with. Well, I don't have it, but here goes: I play lots of FIVE and Moon, and I love both the Winter's Howl and the Zap Guns. I was using the Winter's Howl a few weeks ago, and I noticed something very strange; when you first pull it out and "boot it up", there are moving wing tips on the end of the gun that fold out of sight and are never seen again. This was quite odd, since it reminded me of an under-developed "claw" apparatus found on the left zap gun to connect to the ray gun. Later, I was playing Moon and I had to reload my zap gun, only the left one. I noticed that it makes a different noise than the right; its sound is just a slightly modified version of the Winter's Howl reload sound. I know of the "illuminati" note warning people to be aware of the doctor; nobody knows how he got to that place or time and he should be cooperated with with caution. My theory is that the doctor is Richtofen (obviously), and the note was being circulated amongst the remnants of 935, who were continuing to work on various projects related to 935's original goals across the globe. I believe the Zap Gun is one of these projects, developed during the 60's. I further postuate that the Ray Gun's microwave technology served as half the basis for the development (since the Wave Gun clearly uses microwave heating), but I believe the Winter's Howl was created as a prototype of the second half of the device. This theory would support Porter working at the Pentagon after 935, with a direct hand in the development of the Winter's Howl, while finishing the Zap Gun prototypes on the side.
