the gun glitch is the only one that wouldn't result in me immediately quitting, but its still completely stupid. The limit to 2 guns was part of the challenge, cheating your way out of it ruins how the game is balanced and is supposed to work.

whats better PS3 or XBOX 360 for black ops gameplay
aegisknight replied to footylad2k11's topic in Black Ops
generally games that are made for both systems perform better on the xbox, I've heard that its easier to program for (the biggest exception being Final Fantasy XIII, which was developed for the PS3 and later ported to xbox) for shooters overall, I prefer the xbox. The lack of trigger guards on the PS3 is frustrating. But pretty much every other game I'll take the PS3. Which just means Xbox wins for CoD -
you get an achievement from doing it. I killed him with a ray gun in the early rounds for the same result. Cheap PaP is nice, but its a massive pain to get

THIS ^ cant tell you how many times i've seen people ranked getting into rounds 20's and 30's in different maps and only have 200 or 300 kills when you check out their kills on the leaderboards I was with a group of 4 on ascension the other day, we got into the high 20's but he never moved (and never got a kill). So his rank would have been up, but without glitching. And I like the leaderboards. Sure, it might not be the best guide for who to trust, but its still something nice to go by. Better than nothing anyway

Kino der toten power on early Yes or NO

second dogs don't usually come until round 10 or later, when its no longer one slash kill. I exclusively use the Bowie from when I can get it until round 14, buying the knife first, then 'nog as soon as I can afford it. Then I hit the box with all my points until round 15 or so. I've also found that if you get the ballistic and upgrade it, its 1 slash kills with the bowie until round 15 (with faster slashing and faster running), so I do that if I can and keep it as my secondary. But if everybody waits until round 10 to even get to the bowie, it means that you're going to be facing off a lot more zombies than is advisable while slashing, the 3k points means that you have to kill 50 zombies by slashing just for it to pay for itself. The longer you wait to buy it, the lower your profit margins will be. -
its the top of google when looking for "Cod zombies" (which is how I find it) from here, its just about being better and better. I hope to help create more community-originated content for the homepage

Do you want the active topic and search function back?
aegisknight replied to carbonfibah's topic in Site News
Do you have a host you could ask about it? Maybe its personal preference, but I'd put at least a 1 second flood interval -
From Treyarch's website: It takes a month to actually develop and release a patch for any fix, and there has barely been enough time for the first cycle to get through for the xbox version regarding any fixes for Ascension. The end mentions how hotfixing works; its basically a bandaid and is not at all intended to be a permanent fix to the problem. It has nothing to do with being lazy, and everything to do with making sure things get done right, properly, and how they need to be done. Be patient.

gersch device, noticed something new maybe...

Are you trying to be funny? If you don't have anything to add then you don't have to post I did have something to say, and it was funny. Don't troll. -

aegisknight replied to GOaheadRAGEQUIT's topic in Ascension
I'm pretty sure if you shoot the gersch device with the wunderwaffe, its the same effect as the nuke powerup -
The insta-death is a glitch that arose from the lander glitch fix. To stop people from dicking around with glitches, Treyarch just made it insta-death. But it seems that in doing it, they opened up a few other non-glitch circumstances where you will get insta-killed. I personally think its better than the old glitch (having some douche glitching in my game was the only thing that would make me ragequit), but its still something that needs fixing

One continuous, unsolved factor throughout the storyline.
aegisknight replied to RedDeadRiot's topic in Ascension
if I'm not mistaken, there are small fires around in Kino. There might be in Ascension too, but for that I basically take it as the lander pad's rockets -

well as for your teleporters with blue wires, maybe the wires are only there to direct the teleportation. They aren't "required", just allow you to go to the one you actually want. In DR, hitting the machine with the WunderWaffe caused it to mess up, sending it to a "random" teleporter somewhere else. Under normal circumstances, the teleporter would only send people to a "linked" pad as a safety measure, the glitch sends to a "random" pad that simply exists somewhere. This doesn't really explain Shi or Ascension, but might work better for Kino -
thats a lot, but its not specific on what each actually adds. Not much guns gain "functionality" when pack-a-punched, just become stronger or get something minor, like akimbo or a sight. Gained functionality (off the top of my head): M1911 -> Akimbo grenade launchers Olympia -> Incendiary rounds M16 -> Grenade Launcher attachment (very strong) AUG -> Undermount Shotgun attachment Ballistic Knife -> Revive Shot Crossbow (explosive bolt) -> bolts attract zombies Other minor increases in gun functionality: Sniper Rifles (both) -> Variable Zoom CZ75 (and dual) -> Turns Full-Auto FN FAL -> Turns 3 round Burst M16 -> Turns Full-Auto I believe the rest is just things like extended mags, akimbo, added reflex sights, and tapped mags. Which are nice, but they don't significantly change how you actually can use the weapon I think the M16 has the most dramatic difference between its Pack'd self and its original

Kino Der Toten Weapons and PaP Handbook
aegisknight replied to aegisknight's topic in Kino Der Toten
console codes? I don't need it, but it would be nice. If you provide a large chunk of them, I'd be more tempted to fill in the gaps with a better camera myself -
no guise he's srs the monkies all pile on top of each other and morph into her volton-style, then she tackles you. Scene cut to the ending of FEAR 2, and the confused faces of zombies everywhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMcGIJt26t0

yea, its pretty good for a 3rd attempt. A couple of us have done detailed write-ups of our strategies, if you are looking to improve you could check them out. Or if you think you're doing great, you should share your secrets

Kino Der Toten Weapons and PaP Handbook
aegisknight replied to aegisknight's topic in Kino Der Toten
well, all really. What I'd like is screenshots of the guns on the wall, when they are coming out of the box, coming out of the pack - a - punch machine, and in hand. So for example, the entry for the L96A1: If you can get the pictures, I'll give you primary credit for the whole entry, since I think thats the most work. You don't need to do any cropping, just a simple screenshot and I'll do the rest. But make sure its bright enough, you can tell thats an issue I was having with some of them -
bouncing betties? Knuckle crack? edit: actually I think "knuckle crack" is what happens when you use the pack a punch, the "bowie flourish" (when you look at it right after picking it up) counts as a weapon in and of itself Which means that you might have 3 weapon slots, with the last being the "knuckle crack", "bowie flourish", or the revive needle I wonder if you're able to revive someone immediately after picking up the bowie knife, during the flourish.

Kino Der Toten Weapons and PaP Handbook
aegisknight replied to aegisknight's topic in Kino Der Toten
Unfortunately I need to send my xbox in for repairs, so even if I do get bored there won't be updates for quite some time. Honestly, it would be much easier for someone with the PC version or a capture card to get the pictures. I love gathering the other info, but setting up a camera and getting good pictures is bothersome, and won't get as good results as simple screenshots. -
me too, I figured it was just because the bugs still aren't entirely resolved

Kino Der Toten Weapons and PaP Handbook
aegisknight replied to aegisknight's topic in Kino Der Toten
Yes, I figured there are other (better) sources for information. I bothered because I was bored and the info was asked for in regards to the WWK information. I also noticed that the Pack a Punch for the Der Reise section is also broken, since all the youtube clips are no longer available. Thanks for that link, I won't bother getting the rest of the info I'm missing
