  2. I'm making this for the WWK homepage stuff, but right now its a work in progress. I hesitate posting it as-is, but I could use tips to improve it. Current notes: 1. Wall guns and a couple mystery box guns are not yet included 2. All of the pictures are terrible, I didn't realize the camera I was using sucked so badly. I've got a professional camera now for the job, I'll be replacing all pictures over the weekend with better quality and better planned shots 3. It is not yet properly formatted. I'm waiting to get all the basic data in before I start with that. 4. Pictures obviously need to be resized , but would it be easier to just not crop them at all? This would help keep them uniform throughout Any other feedback would be greatly appreciated
  3. This is extremely useful information, and my hat is off to you for gathering it. I hope your data is incorporated into the Kino listing on the main page once it gets going
  4. maybe its just me, but nacht der untoten is harder? Anyway, when I play Verruckt, I run circles around the map, just like any other place. But the route I have to take is very twisted and hard to explain here (to make sure the zombies get properly corralled), and i don't have the classic maps for black ops

  6. I'm pretty sure we've all already agreed upon this? The point is that they may have left the coding for Lander 2 in the map information (like all of the unused dialogue that's been found). We simply want to see if it is possible to access and if so, where the lander station would have been. Also, you guys should really stop trying to tie this with the node puzzle easter egg. Thats what I meant: There almost certainly is no "would have been", it would just be one of the places that are already in place. There might have just been a glitch or error that was easier to rewrite than fix, with all of the locations unchanged
  7. because schools are breeding grounds of nasty rumors and misinformation among the students Take what you hear with a grain salt
  8. If they branch out to a place where you aren't really expecting, it makes the game more interesting. By moving us out to this new (barely mentioned) location, it opens more doors for the story to travel. From a story-telling perspective, its not a bad idea
  9. Dempsy says it, I hear it more often when I'm using a Pap'd gun
  10. yeh, they may be weaker, but the nova gas can be annoying, and sometimes, you cant see what's ahead through all the blur. True, but gas zombies die with 1 slash of the bowie knife until round 13, and with a small burst + knife until 20 or so. And when you knife them to death, you don't get the nova gas. So if you turn on the power and grab the bowie knife, you get 2x points for kills, weaker/slower zombies (since gas zombies are weaker and slower), juggernog, access to more box locations, and a lot more room to move around. The only downside I could see is if you both avoid grabbing the bowie knife AND juggernog, as some people will do nothing but spam the box. But even that is made up for by having the extra room to move around, with the weaker/slower zombies that are easier to dodge.
  11. actually it means "movie theater of of the dead" A "Kino" is a cinema, not a movie
  12. Not to rain on your parade, but I think there's a simpler explanation. Imagine you are writing code, and the 4 lander sequences are just about finished. However, something isn't working properly with the lander 2 code. There are 2 options: go back through the programming and try to fix a major error, or just scrap it and write a new one. I'm thinking the programmers just went with the second option, with the rewritten piece they used being designated "lander 5" since the lander 2 code still existed when they started, and there was no reason to go back and change the labeling later. It explains both the absence of lander 2 and the presence of lander 5. I'm going to have to go with Occam's razor...
  13. it wouldn't be a record breaking round, I can't really think of any situation where death machines would get you through a round you wouldn't be able to get through previously. Just a little faster. And the whole easter egg would be a massive pain just to get a powerup you can get in a normal drop every couple of rounds anyway.
  14. I don't think if it would be a map itself (the layout just doesn't make sense), but it could just be dropping clues for other zombie story arcs
  15. yea, but the crawlers are slower and weaker than the normal zombies. I really don't see the benefit of waiting to turn on the power early, a few of you are saying why you hate it when people do it quick, but nobody is really saying why
  16. I'll take the PS3 for any games except shooters actually. Even then, the biggest reason is just the lack of shoulder guards
  17. I dunno if its only that PS3 can solve it, only that it will remain locked for the xbox until it is released on PS3. Then its a freeforall, anybody can solve it as they wish
  18. well it doesn't seem like a normal theater to start, there is both a cinema screen ("Kino" is a movie theater) and a dressing room for actors, you can find props scattered around, and it has live theater equipment. So it could be an old-style live action theater that was being converted into a cinema, but then commandeered by nazi scientists to do their deeds
  19. why would you want to pack a punch a weapon before round 20?
  20. I've got a ps3, I just prefer shooters on xbox. But it would be very dumb if only one system was allowed to finish it, it would make a lot of people upset
  21. well the story is going to continue regardless, I can't believe that they would leave an easter egg in one map unfinished. But I really do like the idea of either unlocking it, or even putting patches that add minor easter eggs at a later time For example, I wish they put a couple little new things in the "classic" map rerelease. Maybe they did, I don't have them.
  22. I really don't like the Winter's Howl. The thundergun will clear a path quickly and easily, the howl will just slow their advance. I'm also a runner (I just dodge zombies until max spawn), slowing down the zombies chasing me just means they get spread out farther, making it harder to dodge and keep moving. Of course, the WunderWaffe is still the best ever
  23. prett sure they are just generic vehicles and not licensed, and it.has been known awhile that its 1975-ish and maybe its an abandened boarded up theater not in use at the time? yes not licensed, but I meant that it used 60's/70's styling. The dates on the papers are the best indicator
  24. because that would make it not part of the easter egg by definition, since you'd have to cheat to get to it. If I'm not mistaken, there's a rocket still lying on its side that you can see from the launch button, maybe shoot that
  25. yea, but its not a bad idea
