    the bear.

I have very lengthy posts about this in some other threads, if I can find them I'll post them. Anyways, my theory is that: Sam: Wants to kill Richtoven, possibly the other players. Although she wants to kill Richtoven she's doing it as a little kid wanting revenge for her death/her fathers death. Assume that some little kid you knew died and was trying to get revenge on you for their death, would they be sophisticated enough to really mess with you, or would they even be mature enough to grasp the concepts of life/death. I find it highly unlikely, and believe that Sam is trying to kill Richtoven but she's doing it with an immature mentality. The Bear: Now it's either the darker side of Sam, or a completely different entity. Either way, the bear is fucked up. Now I understand that they both want to kill, however, Sam wants to toyfully mess with them, playing games in her immature mindset, then get her idea of revenge. The bear on the other hand wants to string the characters upside down, cut out their intestines, feed them to one another, all without anesthetics, then slit their wrists, drain their blood, and bath in it. See what I mean?
  4. My original response was much meaner, however, I decided to edit it and just post responses to the concepts you questioned, showing their plausibility.: even though you are playing as a bunch of guys from 1945 who hate each other, Not really that hard of a concept to understand. It's a basic concept called survival. People will do extraordinary things in order to survive, it's part of not only human nature, but nature in general. Looking at species from a Darwinian perspective, survival of the fittest and the desire to reproduce, it's very clear why four people who hate each other would fight together. This isn't taking into account that Nikolai and Tank, and Richtoven and Takeo are on the same sides, respectively. To futher illustrate this, how are acts of canabalism, war, or hell any scene out of the 7 saw movies anymore of a crazy act for survival than this poposterous scenario of 4 people working together? teleported into a theater in 1975, Quantum physics, or wormholes, fabric of space time. Have you pick. All are now pretty main stream scientific theories. It's accepted that on the quantum level things do not move in a linear fashion, but rather can "teleport" from one spot to another, disappear completely, or even be in two places at the same time. If you were able to do this on a large scale it is not inconceivable that you could "teleport" large objects/people at the same time. Granted you would have to understand the random nature of objects at this level, but it is still possible. Also, for fun, if you want to debate the concept of breaking a person down, then reassembling them at another point, and the possible effects this would have please consider that cryogenics isn't that far-fetched, and it is essentially the same thing. Now, if you don't like that idea, then how about worm-holes. While many like to think that the quickest way from point A to B is a straight line, it's not. If you were to bend space time, you could very easily go from one place to another, or one time to another. I'll now address you mention of 1975. It seems you don't only debate the teleportation, but also the time travel. Pick one of two options: Option 1: Linear Time Travel: In this instance you wouldn't be able to travel backwards in time, but you would be able to travel forwards in time. It's widely accepted that Kino Der Toten takes place after the other maps that are out, therefore, its completely plausible that you could travel into the future. Option 2: Non-linear time travel. This form of time travel is becoming the norm in the scientific community, and out is the old ideology of linear time travel in which you can only travel in one direction on a straight line (in which you would encounter paradoxes by going back in time, a.k.a. the grandfather paradox). I would suggest you look into the 10 dimensions, in which one of the dimensions is a dimension of every possible outcome of every possible action. In this case you could actually go back in time, and enter a new timeline branching off of where you came back to. You would then still exist in some other timeline, more accurately you would be existing in an immeasurable number of timelines, however, the "consciousness" of which you traveled back in time with would then enter into another branch, taking with you the memory of the other timeline. and get attacked by Nazi zombies, Perhaps one of your best arguments, however, you need to consider reasonable suspension of disbelief. In stories like this, the player/reader/user is asked to suspend their disbelief, however, when the suspension of disbelief can no longer be maintained the story becomes a joke. Perhaps one of the reasons that zombies is so popular is because it does a good job of managing disbelief. It is reasonable for us to suspend disbelief because a lot of the material is factually based. While the reasonable suspension does differ between people, and to each their own, we must look at the majority of people. In this instance the majority of peoples reasonable suspension of disbelief wavered at the thought of the cosmic silverback, and not at Nazi zombies. or maybe they're just extras in a movie dressed up as Nazis Possibly, no argument there. Perhaps it's all just a dream, or some super fucked up version of inception. and you get rayguns Electromagnetic weapons, very possible. and wunderwaffen Another form of an electromagnetic weapon, also very possible. A portable weaponized version of a Tesla coil. and thunder cannons Compressed air gun. Ever hear of pneumatics? Or paintball guns? Airsoft guns? Regardless, on a historical note: A version of the thundergun was made by the German Army during WWII and was poised to be used against ally forces, however, it ultimately was not used, but was present on the battlefield. and that Winter's Howl gun, Compressed air + liquid nitrogen, seems simple enough. evil magic hauntings happen in the form of Samantha, Magic, as in the term of something unexplained happening, sure. Look at history and see the accounts of possessions, demonic spirits, exorcisms. While many of these may be chocked off as something else, or simply not believed, it does strike a chord with the human psyche. you get root beer that makes you able to shoot faster, Ever take amphetamines? Quick revive - amphetamines Speed cola - amphetamines double tap - amphetamines Jugger-nog - Opiates Simple enough. Also, if you want to talk about them being drinks, heroin used to be sold as a cough syrup in the U.S., it seems reasonable that you could mix it into a drink and ingest it that way. crawlers, Genetic engineering. Science fact, not fiction. The human genome project, Lyme disease, crops, etc. etc. etc. hellhounds How do the attack dogs in multiplayer know the difference between the sides? If they can do that then surely the zombified versions can manage to attack our four players?
  5. ___ It's because 'IN' will never be part of the coded message. It's numerically impossible I encountered the same problem when writing a program to emulate the BO encoder. Unfortuneately, none of my friends or I could find a suitable cypher. The cypher isn't set a set assignment, so the output will change for every alteration of the input. Thus, not only does the Output depend on the letters translated in the input, it depends on the letters next to them, and so forth. (Enter A and then AB. You get it) True to their word, Treyarch DID program a CIA standard Cypher. It's pretty brilliant ___ But this is offtopic sorry to make you write all that. I realized I was just reading the letters wrong. I have no problem encoding/decoding everything now. I went through the entire terminal resources that was posted and made a list of all the DOD names I came across, summarized any important information related to them. Decoded the only relevant messages, and have tried a ton of passwords so far. That took a really long time, hopefully someone appreciates it, and it helps us get a password. All we need is one.
  6. I'm editing this as I go so I don't lose anything. I'll keep updating. I'm going through the terminal resources, decoding everything that's there, and looking for possible passwords. Also, if anyone wants to partner up and join a party my gamertag is xieon1 and we can chat while working on it. I feel confident I can get in. It also appears that the numbers are just hex numbers. I've converted them to binary and decimal, but I don't see how they could be passwords? Ok, I've now tried two different methods of converting them to letters, but there are hex values that don't match up with letters. For example The value 6a5afc13 comes out to JZ(invalid)(invalid) Using one program however, and using all of the hex values that a user posted above (asking to run the encoder) I came up with To: Johnson, L. From: Jason Hudson Subject Mason Mason is delusional he's been mumbling about prime numbers but at this stage it's all we have recommend immediate initiation of fallback operation To:Hudson, Jason From: Weaver, Grigori Subject: fragments Harris confirms that the pentagon has been compromised. He's procured transmission fragments, don't sak how. Here they are. 7. Ok, first can someone upload the file that shows the users and the passwords, I'd like to look at that. Second, why are the passwords for the cia server listed, but not the other passwords for the other servers? Is it possible there is no password? I'll be in the chat, and working on this tonight if anyone wants to help. Also, I grabbed the terminal resources txt and it doesn't have anything in it that we can't already get to? Did someone just take what they could find and add it to a txt or is that actually extracted from game code?
  8. Probably because Nikolai was a Russian and he killed allot of Nazis and since their zombies now he has to kill them again :geek: Also, to prove that this comment is just a style of speaking, and doesn't mean they were actual comrades in battle ask yourself, why did Nikolai kill his comrades in the first place? It doesn't make sense for him to kill his own comrades, which he would have to do to in order to be able to kill them again. For illustration, if I said "I'm gonna kill you boy" it does not mean you're actually a boy, or even younger than me. For a more humorous example, if I said "I'm going to kill you mother fucker!" does not mean that you have ever fucked someones mother. Point proven.
  9. It's both. It's not religious in the fact that Sam is Christian (although she most likely is due to the fact that the majority of germans durins WWII were). It's religious because she's alluding to the bible to describe the amount of destruction she's going to bring down, in the form of her zombies. Thus, it is both
  10. Yea, I can hear it say samantha in a whisper when in sams normal room
  11. It's too bad that Zombies isn't 8 bit. Anyone ever see the lost worlds of Super Mario for NES? That was some cool stuff that happened, but with Zombies I doubt anything that cool would happen.
  12. The reason why she says the left hand of all that's sacred is because the left hand is associated with Lucifer/Devil/Satan and all that's sacred is obviously god/etc. The song is very religious, but it's no so much Christianity as it is Satanism.
  13. This all depends on when Shi No Numa took place, because the Crew knows not of the war status from then on. If it took place in the period of time that Germany and Russia were allies, this holds true. If not, then this is most likely not true. However, even if it is not true, this could mean that Nikolai considers his dead enemy as a comrade? Maybe Nikolai and the Zombies have a respectful Comradery? Maybe Nikolai works for the Zombies  Maybe the Zombies have grown very intelligent since Verruckt! Or maybe there is a Half-Zombie who gives Nikolai orders? Like a being who is both Zombie and human? As in half and half, so he can communicate between both sides? Maybe that is why Zombies seem to congregate to certain areas of a mop, because they communicat? Sorry if any of this seems far-fetched, as I am tired. It makes sense to me :| Doesn't shi no numa take place in 1945. If so I think this would be past the point of where they would be considered comrades. however, I don't think any of the zombies are Russian, nor do I think Nikolai is actually referring to them as comrades in the sense of say America and Britain.
  14. I want to make it clear that I think the cosmic silverback is retarded, and I in no way want it in the game.
  15. That would be interesting, I could go for that.
  16. I believe that line is a metaphor. She's talking about how they have no chance of escape. You look to the skies for salvation and all you see is her army of flies, or a swarm of zombies, coming to kill them. The whole song has a religious overtone, and I believe that line is no different.
  17. I said that, a PhD is a doctorate, so if you were Ed Richtoven Phd. you'd also be Dr. Richtoven. Anyways. I don't like the idea of a gas mask. At the current zombie levels there isn't an area where you need a gas mask, you can easily fight the zombies w/o having to worry about the nova gas. So they would have to make an area say full of gas, but that contradicts the other perks. What other perks do you need to have? Sure it helps to have juggernog or quick revive, but the game doesn't force you to have any. A super gas filled area would force you to have to save up and buy a specific perk, and the game isn't structured that way. Therefore I don't think it has to do with nova gas.
  18. how would you do that? You couldn't have a switch that said no bad guns, because I like Akimbo CZ. You'd have to list all the guns, and how would you be able to do this during the game?
  19. Sacrifice \ Both your weapons get upgraded but one of your teammates randomly instantly dies.
  20. OMG OK READ THIS (AT LEAST THE 1ST PARAGRAPH NEAR THE END) you will see viewtopic.php?t=4582 Manhattan Down!! manhattan down shows up all the time as one of the sayings under the loading screen, regardless of what map your playing. That post didn't do anything to explain the letters
  21. First off I think you need to go back and reread the order of posts. I wasn't assuming anything about your zombie skills. You said that if you were being chased by zombies the first thing you did wouldn't be to set up an account on a random scientists computer. Then I said, sarcatically, thats why you're not good at zombies. It was sarcasim based on the point you would rather fight them than set up a computer account. Also, I know they don't use random words to encode their coding, but its a simple way to explain to people who don't know a lot about programming how compilers and code works. Granted, their code would most likely look something like this : { If pickup equals death.machine then current.weapon.hold equals current.weapon current.weapon equals death.machine.weapon timer equals 30. while timer > or equalto 0 #Continue using the death machine current.weapon equals current.weapon.hold } However, since they are using their own engine, they could have the actual code be written in any way they want if they also wrote the compiler.
  22. The box isn't the only way to get to a high level. Something I hate about the box is that I always get stuck playing with newbs who all crowd around the box spamming the x button, thinking it's the only way to get to a high round. I'd like it if the box banned you for a certain period of time after hitting it. That way you either take what you get, or keep going. It will make the game require more strategy and then there will not be box spammers
  23. I've seen this. And you won't believe what i found out. Manhattan was the name of an AIRPLANE that went down somewhere between WWII and The Zombie storyline, possibly the plane that's downed in NDU! Interesting, I was thinking it was for the Manhattan project, but never understood what the down was for. It's very possible that it was an airplane. If someone could no clip onto the top shelf, maybe there are some other things spelt out. I was also thinking that if we found some other word/phrase we could get a patten for how to put strings together, then there might be letters that form a string that we can then decode in the computer.
  24. sorry if this has been posted, but I didn't see it. On the floor of the room above the alley there are a bunch of black metal letters on the floor. I'm pretty sure they are spelling stuff out. So far the only word I found was Manhattan Down It goes from left to right, and it's pretty obvious, the letters are on the floor and they spell it perfectly, if someone can take a screen shot it would be nice
  25. And that good sir is why you don't get very far in zombies! If someone wants to send me a copy of the code off the disk I'll be happy to try to hack it, I know vb, c plus plus, perl, java, html. But as I said, it would depend on knowing how their compiler works. Think of it like this, I make my own language up and I tell you: Banana Telephone APPLES! you now know it's 3 words, or phrases, but you could spend all day trying to figure it out, it could be I hate you, I love you, go to hell, what the fuck, etc, etc , etc. Then one day you find a rock, like the rosetta stone, that says Banana equals Monday, telephone equals horse shit, and APPLES equals hippopotami. The sentence I originally told you would then mean Monday Horse shit Hippopotami!. To figure that out by a brute force attack would mean the number of possibilities is equal to the number of words/phrase in the English language to the third power. See why it's not an issue of hacking, it depends completely on the compiler, which they could set to mean anything they want. Without some sort of key the chances of decyphering their code is very very small.
