  1. bollocks, why has no one pointed out that they have completely dropped the story and gone all "b movie" ????? please explain this to tme, yes it s awesome, but it completely derails everything that has already happened I suppose i'll be the one to explain seeing how everyone is so sick and tired of having to argue with others about Treyarchs reasoning to go 'Off-story' for a map or two. OK. Do you remember Five? Remember how much that map sucked? It didn't offer anything to the main story and was a pretty foolish mistake of a map. I believe that Treyarch was 'field-testing' the map, seeing what people liked/disliked. NOW. With cotd, they've included an insane amount of new features/guns/perks/environment changes/etc. Sure Treyarch knows that there are a lot of die hard zombie fans that have devoted half of their social life in exchange for uncovering the story of Nazi Zombies. But what Treyarch most likely wanted to do this time was make a fun map that doesn't have to follow any type of event, or portray any type of story, but simply be for the people who don't follow the zombie story and just want to have fun while playing the game. If you seriously can't wait one map pack to find out like 5 more clues about the progression of Nazi Zombies, go do your own research, draw your own conclusions, and wait till the next map pack. I thank you

  3. You guys have a lot of good -and most importantly- varied reasons with valid points, which is awesome = number one reason i love these forums because of the in-depth thinking abilities that all of you have compared to sites like callofduty.com Keep up the good work everyone :D

  5. Do you think COTD will be the Nazi Zombie Game Maker? (the map that causes you to abandon your social life and just play Zombies for the remainder of your days) Ooor, do will it be the Game Breaker (the map that makes you want to break your disc because Treyarch actually made such a sorry excuse for a zombie map..)

If you take a look at the "Inside Xbox" video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO_Z-gu880I ) at the 3:41 mark, you see the player going to the Pap machine to upgrade a gun, but before he gets to the machine you notice that he is waist deep in water! And if you look at his screen, the ice that is forming on the perimeter of his screen begin closing in the longer that character is in the water. The most likely result is that you will become downed if you become completely frozen. I'm sure at certain rounds or times the water level of the map will rise, and recede a round or two later. So once that happens i'm sure the Dev's meant to do this so you will be forced to go and look for higher ground, hence why you can get 'flung' there, or take a zipline. The zombies are most likely going to be unaffected by this, seeing as how they emerge from the ice and frozen depth of the tundra environment Tell me what you guys think :D

  8. As you guys saw from the videos so far, this map is very large! If you don't 'fling' or 'zip' yourself to the other side of the map, you're going to be doing quite a lot of running to get from place to place. And if you need to suddenly get somewhere far away, like a downed team mate, the chances are you won't make it on time unless this perk is added. Hopefully it is! Do you guys think flopper should be included in this map? I would say yes not because i want to 'flop' and kill zombies, but because it was amazing for me to know that no matter what i do, i can not kill myself! It was an incredibly comforting feeling knowing that I will not accidently down myself with the ray gun :D
  9. yeah, if Flopper isn't there i'd be slightly disappointed though. It was SUCH a relief knowing that i don't have to worry about downing myself with the ray gun...i think if anything they'd add flopper SOLELY for that reason...i hope. hahah Yeah, that would be a shame. But downing yourself from the splash damage shouldn't be too concerning. The map looks big enough that you could shoot from a distance anywho. Haha no offense, i just don't see myself sniping with the ray gun anytime soon... the zombies have a lot of ways to going from across the map, to instantly 'zip lining' or 'flinging' right next to you, so there may be a lot of close quarter combat, especially aboard the ship itself

I think that too many people who just make an account to view the random tweets you have or to view a link one of us posts. the problem is once they activate an account, they'll most likely never go back onto again. And although it'll increase the number of total registered users, it could possibly lead to an abundance in inactive accounts, cluttering up space by just sitting there and not doing anything

  12. I agree. Treyarch is finally playing the amiguous card, but i don't think they'd go that far. If anything, if there was decision between removing a perk to make room for the new one, they'd simply keep double tap out. I REALLY hope that stamin-up is still there. this map is huge and will require a lot of running to get from place to place

With all that we know thus far: George Romero is human upon entering the ship, then something happens and he becomes a zombie with many more hitpoints and wields a weapon There's a possibility that the environment will be party destructable Why are there scuba divers emerging from the below subzero temp waters? And now we just learned within the last two hours that there is a De-Zombifier weapon... The trick will be figuring out how to use this to our advantage. Does it merely turn a zombie into human form and that human will then die? or will they stay alive and turn into your own personal 'bait' so you can sneak away while they go and feast on their now turned enemy... [b]---Back to Georgt Romero--Many users will be using 'the sooner the better' strategy when it comes to killing him, but now with this new De-Zombifier gun, many people will try to keep him alive to see what happens if used against him... to kill or not to kill? For my own personal thought, i truely think that he has both his advantages and disadvantages of being alive/dead. Maybe you need to him to do certain things whiles he alive considering his weapon is electric...and if he's in a pool of water, electrify the zombies? Maybe when you kill him, you can then use his weapon, but not as he does by thrusting it around like a hammer

  16. That is a very good observation!! 'shoot everything' I'm pretty sure downward at the ice falls under the 'everything' category. I'm still voting for the idea that it may be possible to cause cave-ins, or opening to a new room.
  17. Oh yeah no i understand you completely! I actually just commented on the thread in which you were speaking of...hahaha. Sorry, i haven't been on this website for months. After the previous one went down i stopped coming to this one and sort of defected to the callofduty.com forums and forgot some of the thread posting norms, won't happen again bud haha

  19. Yeah i actually requested to join that group sometime yesterday, but it's still just sitting in the 'rendering invitation' section of the UCP. I'm sure Carbon gets loads of PM's a day, but never-the-less i'll send him one! Thanks Yes! I'm so psyched for it. It disappoints me that there are such a high number of community members that completely oppose this map and it's characters. I personally think this map will be the crown jewel of Nazi Zombies ~that is, until the next MP which will push us further into the progression of the storyline of NZ~~

Even if there is no Nazi zombie story progression in COTD, i wouldn't even mind if Treyarch flat out said that "this map pack was purely for us to get a sense of what NOT to put in the new map pack because we want it to be as perfect as possible for you hardcore zombie gamers" Because that's what i believe they are doing!
  22. I truely believe that this is the Crown Jewel of Nazi Zombies thus far. Maybe not so much in the progression of the story part, but more so of the "THIS MAP IS HUGE and has countless of new features" persuasion... :D
  23. I didn't realize it was ice water. I actually thought it was oil to be honest... the only reason i thought that was because right before the video cuts to the PaP machine, that previous players screen was also becoming frozen. Haha sorry :/
