The same description comes with the Hardened edition as well. 2.Activision did this BECAUSE of CoDz. Well, not just, but forums like this too. Everyone is always complaining, "GAMESHARE TEH MAPZ W/ MEH, PL0X !11!one!!1" I'm very disappointed in Activision as a company, and Treyarch as a developer. They should have at least compansated us more as well, with 3 more maps for free. Or something like that, I mean, a soundtrack and a theme? I know one thing, they better be worth more than five dollars each, because thats how much a zombies map costs in a map pack. I'm sorry... I have to agree with whiteboy on this one... :ugeek: = Gypsie Fruitcake. I know I'm gonna be flamed, but come at me. I'll try to comeback at you with a highly logical counter opposition onto why I think my point of views are correct. And mods... Dont lock it, no matter what. You do realize that if you bought the Hardened or Prestige Edition you DON'T have to pay for the Pack? So by buying either one, you're technically getting 5 FREE ZOMBIE MAPS. Unlike the rest of us, who will have to pay for them.

I can honestly say that i wouldn't mind if Moon was the last Zombie map in Call of Duty Black Ops. And seeing what they did in Der Riese, don't be surprised if it is indeed the last one. Treyarch likes leaving things as unanswered as ever, leaving you dazed and confused; along with an array of new questions brought on by the last map. After this who knows there may be one more map pack to squeeze in there before the release of Mw3, but if not then I'm sure they'll continue the zombie storyline in another Call of Duty game produced by ONLY TREYARCH AND NOT INFINITY WARD. UNLESS- they completely ignore and pay no attention to Mw3 (which is highly unlikely considering that both Treyarch and Infinity Ward are companies that work for Activision) and just go on making map pack for black ops.. Which would possibly get real old real fast if you were to keep it all in the same game. I say we just end on -hopefully what is- a good note by having a 5 Zombie map DLC and then moving on until next time!

Well of course we need always turn the power on! And I bet shangri-la has no power switch. It does have a power switch, but the power switch activates the water, which hits the wheel, which spins, to create electricity. In the trailer, you can see the piece of wood that has the little electric arrow symbol on it, pointing to where the power room is And we know there's a power switch, because we even see a trap switch on the giant boulder, which indicates there's electricty (that is most likely caused by the hydro-electricty that's produced by the wheel spinning)

Originally, when i figured out that there would be two distinct types of zombies (Napalm Zombie and Shrieker Zombie) I had thought that the napalm would make it's appearance in the day light hours and the Shrieker Zombie would show up during the dark (or eclipse?) But after seeing the In the Jungle Trailer, we can see that the Shrieker Zombie was out in daylight, which kinda tosses that previous theory into the trash. Which means that both new factions of zombies will be permitted to show up unexpectedly during both hours. Or maybe they can only show up during the day hours? So what do you guys think will be the significance/meaning to having the Day and Night changeover?

Those close ups are REALLY disturbing.

Where exactly did the 'members' section of the forum go?
killerussian posted a question in Questions
Maybe I just didn't look hard enough for an answer, but what happened to the part of the forums that said 'News by the members, for the members'? Did you just integrate it into another subforum type thing, or just obliterate it completely? O.o -
WaW style was better. creepier, zombies music, and more blood and stuff. now that i think of it, what happened to that chunky crap that came out of their heads that was in WaW, in BO a little blood spills and thats it. carbon, you have connections dont you If only it was Carbon's decision... Do you remember the Verruckt trailer? or Shi No Numa? THOSE were the trailers that made me terrified/anxious to play the map! I miss those days I wonder if one of these days, they'll simply just INCLUDE the Wunderwaffe in the box. When i say that i mean as in you can attain the gun WITHOUT having to do an 8 step easter egg. If they did, i would already be in love with the map, regardless of the cosmetics O.o

Ahh I think that may be Juggernog

This thread name is also fairly misleading. Next time, be a little more wary when choosing the name for your thread, just to avoid confusion or trolls
-
They didn't necessarily say it's going to be small. They said that the walkways and corridors are going to be much tighter and will be much more narrow as well; making it so that there will be a lot of close quarter events occuring. It doesn't mean the map itself will be small

As this thread was posted previous the the unvailing of the achievement list for Shangri-La, i can see where this would be a reasonable thought. But, we have come to the conclusion that the shrieker zombie will show up during the eclipse, and the Napalm Zombie will appear sometime during the sunlight. It could be random, or there could be a way of fortelling just when they'll show up. But as for the possibility of Treyarch including a type of Boss Zombie in a Map Pack-- I don't believe they would do such a thing for a couple of reasons 1- Let's say after a certain level, the boss person could show up whenever he pleased. Would there still be zombies around? Or would the round be solely about destroying him? and how would players know when he was coming? I think it would be really unfair to make the players go through every round in a paranoid state of 'what if he comes next round?! WE DON'T HAVE GOOD WEAPONS TO DEFEAT HIM YET?!" 2-- If it's a surprise appearance type thing, what if the players were incredibly low on ammo and guns, and they didn't have even have close to the amount of firepower they would need to defeat any type of boss? Everyone wouuld believe that to be REALLY unfair to do.

Shangri-La Videos *Updated 6/25 with Inside Xbox Gameplay*

Why are you guys so sure they're going to release a video strictly about Shangri-La? they haven't done anything like that since Der Riese, so why would they do it for this one? -
Shangri-La new gameplay discussion thread!
killerussian replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Shangri-La
OH! Do you guys remember seeing the 'flaming' zombie in the new vid? and how on two occasions we see it explode? I think that if you kill it, it explodes BUT, i also think that it could be a type of zombie that if you let it get too close to you, instead of hitting you, it explodes. Causing area effect damage to not only you but to your teammates, and it's most likely going to cause more damage than just a regular zombie hit. -
They're just a new variant of zombies. They're made to look more, for lack of a better word, Aztec-ey. Or ancient would be a better word. It's not a disease :/ Although, some of the zombie do explode after killing, the flame ones to be more exact, i believe

Shangri-La new gameplay discussion thread!
killerussian replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Shangri-La
Okay, 2 things i'd like to clear up I'd like to respectfully disagree with you on that one. In Cotd, when you used the VR-11, it only turned ONE zombie into a dumb ass human. In this one, when you shoot it, you can see that it turned multiple zombies into whatever we're calling those alien looking creatures. And we don't know exactly what happens after they've turned, maybe they turn into possible land mines for the other zombies, or maybe they just simply die, we'll find out in 6 days though but yes, there is also a chance that it plays a part in figuring out (or hopefully figuring out, if there even is one) the new easter egg. It's not fair to always expect an insanely complicated easter egg from Treyarch. ANDif everyone can turn their attention to 1:01 in the newer video, you notice the zombies being lifted high into the air just to land right on the piece of land that you're on. I read somewhere that someone thought this was a 'flinging trap' There are two things wrong with that statement. One- Aren't traps supposed to kill zombies, not bring them closer to you? Two- The odds of it being any contraption is very VERY low. Just like it started in Der Riese, with the higher elevation maps, zombies have had the ability to jump from lower levels to higher ones, when we can't. It's just a natural thing -
I would like to think that Samantha doesn't completely control the zombies, but she has a very strong influence over them. As if she was a prized possession or relic of theirs 'the daughter of the creator'

Just throwing it out there, new kinda zombie= new dog round
killerussian replied to killerussian's topic in Shangri-La
I'm not sure if i worded it weirdly, but when i meant a special round, i kinda meant like, a 'fire round' or something. Like monkey round = only monkeys this round would be only those flame® zombies that could possibly be stronger than regular zombies. Haha i doubt it though -

The only reason i would contest that statement of yours, Dreamland, is that you never see that particular type of zombie anywhere else in the video. All the other zombies look like normal dead corpses walking around. That one would have stood out somewhere else in the video if it was just a normal occuring walker, don't ya think? -
Some people think the power ups last longer, i think since they move above a monkeys head change the color to not get confused? Also some people think that those animals (for the sake of it lets say monkeys) actually steal power-ups, and you must kill them before they run off with them. I'm not sure if i support that theory. But let's just say it's true. That would stop us from being able to say 'wait, everybody reload for max ammo' to now being 'wait, everybody load for ma-- omg they stole max ammo!' or waiting for nukes, or blah blah blah. That's the only reason i can see that can reinforce that theory. hahah otherwise, it's a farse

I'm sure that all of you reading this thread have already seen the Preview to Annihilation and have seen the zombie map scene. At the end of that scene (at 2:41) you see that zombie that seems to be lit on fire, does anyone think that it's possible that this new 'class' of zombie could be the equivalent to the Scientist round from Five? Or just a new kind 'monkey round' or dog round?

This topic isn't best suited for this part of the forum. Take any 'predictions' over to the Map Pack 3 Theories area of the forums and discuss what you think will be the next (or in your case, final) map pack there as well as seeing what other people think as well
-
I feel slightly foolish for asking this, but does anyone know what the designated Wunder Weapon is for Shi No Numa on Black Ops?
-
Well like you said, the map often has times of extreme fog and can't see more than 5ft in front of you, so to fix this they added an infrared on it. Also, there's an achievement for killing what, 10 zombies over 100 ft, kinda hard to do if you can't tell where the hell they are!
