  1. That is an image of black ops 2 from the people who made the prop, the link was posted by Schrödinger in the last page (please give him brains from me because I can't as I am on the new layout.) Don't ignore links and info posted in this thread, it could lead to some unexpected goodies. PLEASE NOTE: The images displayed do re-use models from Modern Warfare 3 because it is a very, very early build.
  2. Just saying guys, don't overlook the links posted here
  3. This will probably update when the site updates with the next image. FPSRussia confirmed we had figured it out, tacitus.com confirmed it, I don't believe there is any more to find. As for the fluctuation, it is a possibility. There is a chance that Treyarch would hide something in thay manor... Good thinking, keep an eye on it -Jolteon Tacitus.com only confirmed they are nothing to do with it after the owner received a flood of emails asking if he was a future weapons manufacturer in Black Ops 2.
  4. I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. Can we now concentrate on the important stuff rather than getting hung up over unrelated projects?
  5. Not much of a coincidence, I remember seeing an article explaining that Howard has been planning on relaunching tacitus.com in 2012, he obviously saw the huge increase in traffic as an opportunity to re-launch his company and get attention. Which he has received, but in all the wrong ways.
  6. That option is more than a kink, it's more like a very big hole that we need to patch up
  7. Sorry, but this was discovered and it was confirmed that FPSRussia that the Tacitus COD and FPSRussia are referring to, has nothing to do with the LLC, or the Website, orrr the Roman Emperor. Good Luck Next Time, hopefully we can figure this mystery out! When did he say the Website has nothing to do with it? I just checked all his tweets and he only denied it involving the Roman guy. It can't be a coincidence that this website launches the same day Treyarch teases tacitus. Can we please let tacitus.com die? Pretty please?
  8. I don't believe he said that, I believe that tweet was him responding to someone else. It's going to be hard to find out what it means.
  9. FPSRussia, the guy seen display the prototype quadrotor, the guy wearing the tacitus t-shirt, the only public link we have giving the slightest information has said this.
  10. The CallofDuty site seems to be having a few issues right now, I'd expect a different form of media like the FPSRussia video from yesterday to add more to today's image soon enough.
  11. Updated with new update material
  12. Also CallofDuty.com has updated, the homepage stills says classified, but when it's clicked you can see this.
  13. That doesn't denounce it's relation. They're even more related now. No, this clearly means tacitus is related to that weapon, tacitus.com is a company that used games to retrieve data about network security, bioinformatics, biotechnology etc, the company has been around since 2004 and closed in 2009, they seem to have relaunched with a teaser today after a large amount of traffic hit their site because of the hype. FPSRussia is our main source of information so far and he himself has said that this company and website has NOTHING at all to do with Call of Duty.
  14. CONFIRMED: TACITUS.COM IS NOT RELATED TO CALL OF DUTY This is what it means Credit: https://twitter.com/#!/PrestigeIsKey/st ... 8779420672
  15. Yes, the word is related to BO2, that specific site, is probably not.
  16. The CallofDuty twitter account and some treyarch members seem to have just gotten on twitter so I would expect it very soon.
  17. That's an interesting connection, but check this out. This is a screenshot of tacitus.com from January 25th 2007. Notice the exact same logo as in the new layout. They carry the exact same goal as the updated website does. You can check the 2007 version of the website here: http://web.archive.org/web/200705260459 ... index.html They wouldn't re-use the same assets for an advertising campaign for Call of Duty. I also just noticed this from the snapshot from January 25th 2007 Seem familiar?
  18. A "few" views doesn't cut it, a video with 1 million+ views and him tweeting about it on an account with 202,000 followers would gain a lot of traffic. The domain is still owned by him and if Activision had any control over this site it would be registered to MarkMonitor which is the brand protection company Activision uses and the company that has registered every single Activision domain.
  19. Howard Coale is a real person though, this is his company that has been around for a very long time, this is him: http://www.linkedin.com/in/coale he's just a business man, I don't think he's related.
  20. I'm starting to think tacitus.com might be unrelated. Let's think about it like this, tacitus.com looked like this until today Keep the name Howard Coale in your head, so Tacitus seemed to be some sort of failed company, so what updates today? Tacitus.com, but what's that? Howard Coale's (personal) website also updated to be the exact same design as the newly updated tacitus.com http://www.coale.com/ But, notice in the top bar Howard has managed to spell "the" wrong and instead say "Tghe Tacitus Project" This seems to me like an attempt to revive a company due to the large amount of traffic tacitus.com has had recently because of FPSRussia linking the word to the viral campaign. The domain is still owned by Howard Coale and if it was related to Activision would have been registered by "Mark Monitor"

  22. On tacitus.com it says "Discovery comes from play" do we have to play Black Ops to get some clues?
  23. Nothing has been announced yet other than the fact that it'll be announced on May 2nd, we'll just have to wait and see. Update for you all! Call Of Duty has announced on their website that the WORLD REVEAL will be during the basketball playoffs on TNT on MAY FIRST. SOMEBODY CHECK THAT OUT, THIS COULD BE IT!!!!!! Yep, we have a big discussion already going on, come join in! viewtopic.php?f=81&t=21057
  24. I think you might be onto something
