-

Zombies starts here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXpR-aft46A&t=81 Looks like there are 4 staves: fire, ice, air, electricity. Each player can have one.

Cool, here's a capture without the text over it. -

This is a great theory and one I think is possible. I was trying to find the time to articulate it on this forum, but never did. I think she's not his daughter at all, but he took her in like one. And like you say she's possessed or other worldly. I also think she doesn't seem to age, since she seems similar (so far) from WW1 to WW2, but Maxis ignored this because of his love for her. -

When did he say this? There goes all my hope for a clean story. I'll have to retract my positive assumptions about Treyarch's ability to keep all their balls in the air. -
I'll tell you what the effect is... it's pissing me off! I also do think it's fire, ice, wind, and electricity. But I wouldn't say it's confirmed. Having electricity seems odd, instead of earth, the traditional 4th element. It could also be ice and liquid water, water in 2 different states, which makes about as much sense as electricity. But if I had to pick I'd say the purple is electricity since the staff housing looks like the Wunderwaffe. And air would be the green one with the ring, like the ring of the Thundergun for an air blast.

You're probably right because of the achievement icon, but nothing is confirmed until we actually play origins. To you a couple of wavy lines could mean air, and to someone else could mean something entirely different. Edit: I can't understate how absolutely stoked I am for these. It will be cool to finally get a fire wonder weapon as well as re-visit some old wonder weapon elemental concepts. First thing I'm doing is building the lightning staff. EJ will be in his natural habitat. Yes. While it does look like air, a couple of wavy lines could be water, air, or a Ghostbusters reference. Not confirmed yet.

I'm going out on a limb here and say that it was intentional by Treyarch to have two different versions of Samantha's voice in the two trailers. There is some story reason why this is possible. One voice is her in control, the other voice is her before or after control. Maybe alternate timelines, maybe time travel, or maybe one timeline. But I think there is a good reason for it. It was not a mistake or a placeholder voice or a change of heart by Treyarch.

I'm pretty sure this is how Zombie Blood will work. It's a drop like Insta-Kill, but shaped like a drop of blood (glowing green and rotating, of course). You touch it and everyone on your team is ignored by the zombies for 30 seconds. Like the Vulture Aid mist, but no mist. During that time you can do what you want. Get perks, revive, power generators, etc. that's how you can earn the achievements. It all seems pretty clear now that this is how it will work.

If you say yellow is the complimentary color to purple, then you are using the traditional color wheel for opposites. That means the complimentary color to red is green. And orange and blue are opposite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Color_star-en.svg

I agree with all this. I'm not sure why people think they recognize each other at all.

I'm sure they can be upgraded into the Ultimate Staff like mentioned in the achievement. -
Here's my guess on the powers of each, based on the design of the staff and gem color/style. Air - Purple - Paralyser type effect Fire - Orange - Raygun 2 + Wunderwaffe type effect Water - Blue - Winter's Howl type effect Earth - Green - Shangri-La Shrink Ray type effect
-
I went ahead and put them in a spoiler tag though for folks.

Holy cow, 4 staff images! -
Bump. Here's the thread if you want to talk about eye color. Orange or yellow? Blue or purple? Red or orange?
-
I think we can all agree it's organey-yellowish-organyellow. Come one folks. This could go either way. The colors are close already. And the color palette of a fanciful hand-drawn and painted poster is much different than an in-game screenshot's palette. It's like comparing lemons to oranges at this point. The poster is not going to be the deciding factor here. Back to the staff theories...
-
I think the new poster helps support my hypothesis. All the zombies' eyes and the panzer soldat's eye are orange here. Just like the staff. Yet in the cinematic intro we saw the Templar zombies had purple eyes, and the panzer soldat had a yellow eye. This is interesting. Brains! Note how the yellow color in every eye and the gem has the same kind of glowing lens flare on it. Maybe you only have one of the 4 gems in the staff at a time (and only one staff) and the colors of the zombies' eyes change depending on the one that it active on the map. Maybe it changes their behavior in some way, or controls them somehow, or makes the vulnerable to something.

Yeah, that really is interesting to tie in. Here is that concept art with the 4 power sources (click link to see them all). http://oi41.tinypic.com/1zbgow2.jpg -
Holy Mackanole, what a phenominal poster! That's close to how I imagined the staff to be, like the one in Indian Jones, but Tesla powered!
-
Looks like with the new patch they still didn't try to fix this. So I stand by saying that Treyarch does not consider this a glitch.
