Also mentioned in the release "diesel-drone", which is likely one of these: The first pilotless drone was developed for the U.S. Navy in 1916 and 1917 by two inventors, Elmer Sperry and Peter Hewitt, who originally designed it as an unmanned aerial bomb—essentially a prototype cruise missile. Measuring just 18.5 feet across, with a 12-horsepower motor, the Hewitt-Sperry Automatic Aircraft weighed 175 pounds and was stabilized and directed (“piloted” is too generous) with gyroscopes and a barometer to determine altitude. The first unmanned flight in history occurred on Long Island on March 6, 1918. In the end the targeting technique—point and fly—was too imprecise for it to be useful against ships during the war. Further development, by attempting to integrate remote radio control, continued for several years after the war, until the Navy lost interest in 1925. In addition to the four maps, Apocalypse also reveals Origins, the most horrifying and imaginative Zombies experience to date. Players will be deployed to Dieselpunk-stylized World War I-era France where they will encounter the return of the four original heroes from the very first Zombies map, Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Rictofen, as well as hordes of zombies that have overrun trenches and fields, as well as the ruins of a mysterious and ancient location. Unleashed after the Germans unearthed the mysterious “Element 115,” this next chapter in the Zombies legacy will explore the saga’s origins as players reunite with an unlikely band of soldiers that come together to defeat the greatest evil the world has ever seen, using a period-specific arsenal that includes Wonder Weapons that harness supernatural powers, a diesel-drone and Mark IV tank, as well a new perk machine and power-ups – and that’s just the start. Players will need all the help they can get to succeed in defeating the undead, as well as evading an unprecedented 1,000-foot tall robot abomination. It's a real thing. Just imagine having diesel power (which is more powerful) instead of steam available, and better materials and metals. Sky Captain, Iron Sky, BioShock, and Rocketeer are examples.

Thanks and see if you can add to it! It took me a while to find some of these. I wish I could find more like the first image, which matches the concept, place, and time of Origins. Thanks to the Mod for moving this to the new Origins forum.

Interesting they used the term "dieselpunk" in the Origins description. That would accurately describe in sci-fi terms the giant metal war man, as opposed to the earlier steampunk term. Nice. -
I wanted to point out that WW1 was the first mechanized war, and because of that there was a lot of fear and speculation about mechanized war machines. War robots of different types were conceived of and even attempted on the battlefield. Here's a remarkable example from a 1917 (!) French illustrator named Adolfe Willette, warning of the dangers of giant hideous human machines: Can anyone find other examples of giant robots concepts/illustrations in WW1? There were even human sized robots on the field, though they turned out to be a misunderstanding/hoax/propaganda. One famous one was Boilerplate: http://danefield.com/alpha/forums/topic/11312-excellent-boilerplate-robot-coffee-table-book/ Robots of course were gaining in popularity from the 1810s in stories then ballets, through and peaking at the Victorian era. Boilerplate was one originally constructed in 1893 (http://www.robotshop.com/blog/en/the-my ... robot-3751), and "appeared" in numerous wars since then. There was even a german version 8-) : Later in the 20s, more war robot speculation happened, with articles like this one from 1923: Of course the robot Maria was used later in the german propaganda movie Metropolis.

PaP is powered by 115 though... Perhaps this is the camo for a new Vril-related wonder weapon? Or (less likely but a cool thought) an alternate way of upgrading weapons, using Vril instead of 115? I didn't mean to suggest it had anything to do with pack-a-punch or upgrading weapons at all, I just meant its simply a pattern that is wrapped around these items like a weapon camo or anything else.... That is what I meant though! PaPing might require not only 115, but also these runes that imbibe special properties in conjunction with 115. Or yeah, maybe a Vril type WW or Vril PaP like TheDunbarian said. Just speculations. -

Yeah I think when put together it will be the basis for the pattern used in PaP. An explanation might be that these runes were made by the Vril and then discovered carved in stone by someone (Maxis?) and then used on weapons to give them special properties, and they made a machine to apply the runes to weapons (PaP). -

Whoever put those pieces together did so randomly. I've been able to fit 3 of them together, where the markings overlap completely accurately, pieces 4, 5, and 6. I trimmed off some of the matching pieces on top so the bottom parts can be seen better. Note that you have to overlap these to make them fit in any way! The rest I can't get to fit. -
Looks like puzzle pieces that can be rearranged.

Watching it again, you might be right that the image you captured was intentionally in the video, since they move the phone and blur it after it's captured, not before. So maybe it is significant! -

The metal parts almost look like some sort of wearable armor combined with a wonder/special weapon or buildable. Like you put it on your character and flip the black switch on your chest and it does something with the blood vial. Maybe it protects you from some damage, and when activated shoots out blood to attract the zombies away from you. -

I didn't post the static since it looked like them just moving the phone camera in a blur across a monitor. Maybe there is something in there, but I don't think so, and if there is it's not intentional. Based on how Vine captures work, there is no way they'd get a single frame of useful info in there. But good luck! Looks like a cowboy hat! -

Tips. - You can go from 0 bank money to 250,000 bank money during round 1, solo or co-op. - You can levitate others with your Paralyzer.

To clarify. #1. If you use the time bomb while anyone is bleeding out, they all get back up. Like the PaPed ballistic knife. #2. If you use it while people have bled out they spawn back in. In both cases they have lost their perks, except in #1 if they have the tombstone persistent upgrade.
