Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
yourmapper replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
This is obviously from our fictional zombies world, so actual accuracy may not be paramount. also keep in mind this is dated 1917 so at that time many of the categorizations of the elements were different and many elemnts were probably yet to be discovered/named I think they are being pretty accurate. Between 1900 and 1949, 13 new elements were discovered, then 16 in the next 50 years. -

I've tried Tapatalk 1 (free) and TouchBB also and neither one works with this forum on iPhone. -
I've seen videos where people are firing the paralyzer and the counter goes up only like 1 per second. Whenever I shoot it it's like 3-4 per second. Is there some trick to keep it from overheating?

Here's a video of it I saw a few days ago. Good view of the full bottle on its side. http://youtu.be/W1bsSckNmWE

But how old would Tank be in 1917? Teenager or younger? -
Shouldn't this discussion be in Future Zombies? You all might have missed these posts over there talking about the tweets. Talks about the periodic table of elements, what year it's from, original 1898 table image, connection to Marie Curie and radiation in Paris: viewtopic.php?f=138&t=34241 Talks about the Mauser C96 gun with real images and scope/stocks, zombies pictures in the background, the single player dev team: viewtopic.php?f=138&t=34264

First look at possible new WW for MP4?
yourmapper replied to The Clay Bird's topic in Research & Development
The Mauser C96 was also introduced in 1896, two years before the periodic table from the previous tweet. So it puts in the same time frame. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauser_C96 Han Solo's blaster was based on this. This gun at the bottom shows it with a scope and a stock attached. And a blinged out version: -

I believe you are correct about the Mauser gun. But what's the model number at the end? Looks kind of like a C-96 with an extended 20 round clip. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/de/mauser-c-96-e.html And correct, the second image image is from Rezurrection. I got confused since he's dual wielding and I thought that was BO2 for some odd reason. -

Ok, after some ENHANCING, here's what I thing the MP40-like gun says: MASTER (PROTOTYPE ?X5) --- MAXIS JAN. 5, 193? then below that's not a jet gun, but a scope: ATTACHMENT SCOPE Maybe after PaPing? -

Also, isn't this Jason Blundell from the single player team that worked on maps like Der Riese and Mob of the Dead? Mob of the Dead Making Of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMAIs6aKqV8&t=60 -

Notice that the framed zombie picture changes too, from Black Ops to Black Ops 2 zombie. -

Nice, yesterday's tweet was a tip about a new map! viewtopic.php?f=138&t=34241241 Here's a link to this tweet: https://twitter.com/Treyarch/status/360821676168069120 And a crop of the weapon/screen: The combined tweets say "We were there at the beginning... and we’ll be there at the end!" It says "MASTER ????????? -- MAXIS JAN. 5, 193?" above the weapon, which looks like a SMG type gun. The lower weapon looks like a bit like the jet gun. What's that picture on the desktop of the Mac they are on? Looks like a dark cave. -

Here's an actual periodic table from 1898 textbook when Marie Curie discovered Radium (they added it below below Barium): -

Could the 935 blueprints be the plans for building the Eiffel Tower? Check this Twitter clue from Treyarch, which I think means the map will be in Paris around 1898 when Marie Curie discovered radioactive Radium and when the Eiffel Tower was under construction. viewtopic.php?f=138&t=34241 Either Group 935 was around in 1898 (where they?) and build/modified the plans for a reason, or Richtofen went back in time to modify it to act as the kind of tower he needs. Maybe his spirit/body is under it.

Just search Google Images for the phrase Marie Curie Paris and it's the first result. The forum doesn't like the characters in the link. Edit: I fixed the link manually on a desktop browser. -

Guess what else... This happened in Paris. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... ris_13.jpg While that big tower by Eiffel was being built. -
This Tweet struck me as a clue to the next map. http://twitter.com/Treyarch/status/3605 ... 53/photo/1 "@Treyarch: We were there at the beginning... http://t.co/FFFcQW0CVH " The picture is an old hand drawn precursor to the modern Periodic Table of Elements. The content and layout is similar to the second picture in this historic summary of the Periodic Table: http://www.aip.org/history/curie/periodic.htm The table is rotated 90 degrees from our current table, and it's from 1898 when Marie Curie discovered Radium, a radioactive element. Could this be the year or setting of the next map? In the background is a framed picture of a zombie.

So Treyarch is bringing Ghosts to the Wii. https://twitter.com/Treyarch/status/360445074506653696 I think they've brought other versions to the Wii too. And here I thought they were busy working on a stand-alone zombies game.

That is awesome, I didn't know that either. Really useful. Beat, can you also explain what happens to the zombies and the ghosts (locations, counts, etc) that are around at the Throw and Use points?

What's the unlimited booze? Buying it for 1000 as much as you want? ZombieGK, I know the patch was submitted a while ago, but given the quantity of things they fixed with it, and that I'm sure they know about this, it seems like they would have patched it too. Surely ActionPackeddd's video is not the first record of it. It's not overpowered anyway. You have to avoid a drop for lots of rounds if you want to use it, and work with your teammates. And considering you can get a max ammo with the bank drop and the big guy, it's not that helpful. It does seem glitchy since the giant just runs away and it stays. Maybe was an unintended side effect of the map, and they just decided to leave it, like how you can max out your bank account in one round. It's like he fixes the drop in place with candy, just like he fixes the box in place with candy. I guess we'll see if they remove it with the next patch or not.

Ghost House Finally Figured out (I think.......)
yourmapper replied to TheBSZombie's topic in Buried
I'm not sure that's totally right. I think the number of ghosts is also dependent on how fast or slow you get through the house. There are lots of specifically placed invisible spawn barriers, and ghost spawns. If you cross over a spawn barrier, it then moves the ghost spawn back further into the house. For example, if you just enter the mansion and stand on the stairs, a ghost will just keep coming forever from around a left corner spawn. Or if you run through the house and kill them from a distance, you can skip spawns, reducing the total number of ghosts.
