Also, many of us bought the season pass, so giving a map pack for free doesn't work. We already paid for it... -
ATTN Treyarch - sledgehammer and the fly
FatedTitan replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm not happy about this either. It seems that Treyarch is losing tough with the hardcore fans in an attempt to reach a bigger audience. Now they're starting to lose us. The Siliquifier was awesome. It was a fun gun and I had never even tried to chain for high rounds. It was just fun to use. Now it's weaker. It's not worth my time really. And I those saying its OP, all I have to say is this. IT'S A WONDER WEAPON! It's supposed to be OP. look at every WW out there an they all have one thing in common. It's OP. Yes, even the VR-11. I have more issues than just the Siliquifier though. TranZit was awful! And what about Grief and Turned? Why can't these modes be available on every map? Why make a mode for one or two maps then ditch it? And what about past WWs? Why must they be map exclusive? I know you want to have new fun wonder weapons, but throw an old one back in the box or something. The Shrink Gun fits perfectly with DR, yet you let an opportunity to give a gun another chance go to waste. Also, this goes back to BO. Easter eggs. Side quests are awesome. I love doing them. But where are the small eggs hidden in the map that are what made this community what it is today. Hide and Seek didn't make Der Riese a fun map. It was all the little things that made people speculate. Where have these gone? And speaking of radios, STOP BEING LAZY AND ADD IN MULTIPLE RADIO LOCATIONS! I'm sick of hitting the same tv over and over for all the radios. That's pure laziness. It isn't hard to throw other radio locations in, even if it's other tvs. And don't get me started on NTZ. Pimp it as exclusive to HE, then the Sunday before release, announce it'll be abailble in the season pass. What a scam! And you want to know the worst part? Treyarch always talks about how the community is their favorite part of zombies. And yet I doubt they'll even address this. If community is so important, one of them needs to step up and give their reasoning or address us. They may make zombies, but they've stated themselves that WE, THE COMMUNITY, make zombies what it is. I was excited with DR. And Turned looked like a fun addition as well. I just didn't realize Turned was foreshadowing the community turning against the Devs... So Devs. The ball is in your court. Are you going to ignore the community that built zombies to what it is today, or will you hold up on what you said months ago...you love the community. If we really are your favorite part, then address us for once. It's not about being cryptic. It's about letting your fans know that you hear us! -

But on topic, I did not like Carrion at all. I much preferred Imma Try It Out! But All Fall Down I actually enjoyed. I would put it on my iPhone. It's catchy. Carrion was awful though. And A7X was never associated with Richtofen. Whenever there was a map without the O4, a song not sung by Elena would be in the map. Five had Won't Back Down, CotD had Not ®eady to Die. The one exception was a Nightmare on Moon, which was activated when one did the One Giant Leap achievement. -

You're both wrong! Let me give you the REAL storyline from Kino onward. From Kino, the players teleport to Call of the Dead. You can hear a teleporter in the room that the O4 are in that has broken. We repair the teleporter and teleport to Shangri-la. You hear the sound of a completed teleport when you spawn in. Then, the characters build a lunar lander out of the parts scattered around Shangri-la(many barriers are lunar lander parts) and fly to Ascension! AND DON'T YOU DARE SAY I'M WRONG OR BY DARN....YOU'LL SEE MY ANGRY FACE! -
99% Sure I Figured Out the Next Tranzit Easter Egg Step!

You obviously haven't followed my posts if you don't think I have an open mind. I've been one of the biggest proponent of "we're missing something." I have an open mind. Its just that I believe firmly that the beams are a glitch. People have played with them for months with nothing coming of it. I believe we are missing something though, I just don't know what. -
Not that one. I'll go searching the Asylum soon and find it, though that is a good one.

FatedTitan replied to Xieon's topic in TranZit
Most of us on Xbox have been seeing these beams since November. PS3 can't replicate it. It's a graphical glitch in TranZit. It's not that we aren't having an open mind. Its that we've gone through all of this for months and it doesn't work. -
I don't believe the deep voice is Richtofen. Richtofen obviously talks at the end of the cut scene, but the voice we can't understand is what I believe to be a demonic voice. Many say that it is Richtofen. I would ask you to look at Richtofen as a basis for why the voice isn't Richtofen. When Richtofen had the voices in his head, no one thought they were Samantha. No one knew what they were. Now, we're hearing what Richtofen heard all those times. The voice of some demon telling him what to do. So now let's add this to the insanity. We have Maxis, Richtofen, and an unknown demonic voice giving Stully competing instructions. I would go insane! So, could the demonic voice be Satan? I will post a link to a thread that I think could give us some answers, but I can't seem to find it at the moment.

Sorry man but the light beams are a graphical glitch. PS3 players cannot replicate the light beams at all. -
Exactly. He's an emotionally disturbed individual who's been through hell and back. And then he has to deal with these voices that only he can hear. His face looks tired and cold(there I go again). I just remember the first time I watched it, I looked at it and saw a man considering suicide.
-
I wouldn't consider that quote when giving the suicide idea. I think more along the lines of the voice sounding confused and frustrated and his facial expression. Also, the positioning of where he is on the side of the building. His foot has part of it over the edge. He may be wondering where he's at, but I don't know anyone that would stand that close to the edge that high up and just stay there. He didn't back up or anything. He even stayed there just looking cold and tired when it transitioned to his face.
-
We're just going to have to agree to disagree on this one OPL. I see him contemplating suicide. You, and apparently many others, do not. Fine. Only way we would inconclusively know the right answer is if a dev told us, which I doubt they're going to do.
-
Like I said, agree to disagree. All I know is that if I'm on the edge of a building looking down, I'm certainly going to find something to stand behind to make sure I don't fall. Stully's feet are on the edge and he's looking down. One of his feet even has part of it hanging off. The voices are telling him what to do. As Stully asks "What do you mean 'man the rift'", he's looking over the edge and says "Maybe I don't wanna." Yes, this is more of him sassing at the voices, but that's not the point. In fact, I don't think that part has anything to do with the suicide contemplation. When he says, "What do you mean 'man the rift'", his voice is full of confusion and frustration. He is sick of these voices in his head telling him stuff to do. And despite what some say on here, I don't believe those voices are Richtofen's. They're probably the voices that Richtofen had in his head. Remember, Sam didn't communicate with Richtofen through voices in his head. She could be the announcer like Richtofen is now, but she wasn't part of the voices. There's another force that's also talking to Stully. And now that he's got all these voices telling him what to do, he looks down off the side of the building, nothing to hold onto in the shot, one foot partway off. Then we cut to his face: a cold, tired face that looks ready to end it all. I keep saying that over and over I know, but that's what his face personifies. A man who's just done. Forget the dialogue that is happening and look at the man. He's standing on the edge of a building with one foot partway off and he has no fear. He's stone cold, looking in a way like he would be perfectly fine falling off the side. In fact, his eyes are even looking down toward the ground. The whole facial expression just shows a man who is fed up with what is happening. And in response to OPL. Concept art? No way man. Not even close. You don't make concept art of this type of stuff, then decide to just turn it into a nice cut scene. No this was intentionally made exactly how it was for a reason. I don't even see how this could be considered concept art.
-
We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one OPL. I think it's pretty obvious he's contemplating suicide by how the cutscene plays out. Standing at the edge looking down, then a shot of his cold, tired face that looks like it just wants to end it.
-
I think he is. The voice over is saying stuff like "What if I don't wanna" and stuff when the voices are telling him what to do. He seems like he's really struggling because the voices won't leave him alone. They show his feet at the edge of a building looking down. Then it shows his face, a cold, tired face that looks ready to just end it all. It doesn't show fear, which is what should be shown if Stully was just looking down at how high he was and was fearful of how high it actually was. Instead, we get the face I described above, which shows no fear.
-
Am I the only one who became more attached to the T4 due to the cut scene at the beginning? As I watched it and I saw Stully consider suicide and Russman sacrifice himself, I just became a little more attached to the characters. Still enjoy the O4 better, but the T4 aren't as bad. Also, I'm calling it now. Last map pack features an 8 player map featuring all the characters together. Another thing I want to call now. With the cheesy mode names we're getting this year and with the leaked "Dead High" map, which honestly sounds kind of dumb, I'm saying that the last zombie map ever will be called Dead End and at the end of the Easter Egg, a teleporter will be constructed that sends the crew all the way back to Nacht. And as we've seen with Brock and Gary and now the T4, everything is just a circular path we're retaking over and over again. I think that would be fun.

Do you just stand on it or do you have to jump?

So I haven't been on here for many weeks because I try to avoid CoDz while a group of friends and I figure out the Easter Egg on our own. With the inconsistency that I've had this time around, we've only gotten to the point where Maxis talks about reincarnation. That would be after shooting balls out of dragons' mouths. Anyone want to tell me how much longer I have percentage wise? Haha! But something that has had me thinking since I first played Die Rise has to do with the solo cut scene. As you all know, all of the characters die, but then come back. Stullinger seems to be the only one who recognizes that they've been there before. But what immediately came to my mind was Brock and Gary. The main characters are in a never-ending loop until they complete their goal. Do you believe there to be a connection? Sorry if this thought has already been posted. As I stated, I haven't been on here since the map pack came out. Hope you have all been well. Hopefully my group can finally get together and work on this Easter Egg and get Maxis complete. I will ask one question. For some reason, when we do the elevators for Maxis(stepping on symbols), we buy the sniper with a character not Stully to trigger Maxis' quote. Then we turn power on and set it up where we all stand on the elevators. Sometimes, when we get on, they glow and we get the quote. Other times, nothing happens at all. We've stood, we've all jumped at the same time, we've done what we thought we had to do, yet no glow. Any ideas what we've done wrong?

Good stuff as usual PINNAZ.

What time can season pass holders expect DLC?
FatedTitan replied to swappingspit's topic in Die Rise
Whenever DLC drops, you'll have the opportunity to grab it. -
I'm going to say that the "Nav Card Reader" is a radio of some sort. The tower is a transmitter. "We destroyed everything...everything electronic starting with that EVIL, RADIO BOX THING!"
-
I don't think it's going to suck, but I don't think it's going to be a Der Riese type map that everyone looks back at and says "Now that was a map!" It'll be one that the casual player would rather forget, such as Shangri-la. And note, I said the casual player, not the hardcore player. And contrary to popular belief, most people who play zombies are casual players. I also find it funny that you say you don't like people basing all these negative ideas off of opinions since they haven't seen the map, yet you do the same thing, but substitute the negative for the positive.
-
Why does "It's happening all over again" scream Ascension to me?
-
Just because you have a colored name doesn't mean that your opinion matters more. Let people discuss theories and such. Let them be excited for an upcoming map. I see nothing wrong with it. And I don't care what Mod, Donor, UOTM, Legend, Dev, or whoever whines about theories. They're what have built this site.
