As has been stated, I believe we're at the point where the sides have been made and the only thing we can do is wait to see if someone in the know will tell us. I highly doubt that will happen though. They never confirmed an end to Ascension's EE until CoD XP, so why would they do this. Also, we aren't debating minor details. We're saying he looks nothing like Richtofen unlike many of the concept arts that have been presented who at least resemble the character.

I've been doing that. Even linked every dev to the convo. No luck.

If it's Richtofen, ok. Honestly, that's fine with me. I started the topic wanting to know who this is. If it turns out to be him, great. If not, then we have a problem. I promise I'm not trying to just ignore things. I understand where all of you are coming from, but I disagree with one point that someone made. I first looked at that poster and recognized every character except the man on the left and just assumed it must be Richtofen. After looking at faces, body builds, outfits, etc., I just don't see it. It doesn't even look like him, IMO. It looks much more like the CoDZL man than Richtofen. If I'm wrong, fine by me. I just wish we could get some confirmation one way or another...oh Reza...

I don't like the idea of hints in the Pause Menu. That takes away the challenge. And I think the word you're looking for is apostrophe. :D

The difference Shooter is that the CotD bit was a cutscene that WAS in the game. This poster was in no part of the game. Different things entirely.

Also, the scar I see in the poster is under the man's left eye(from his perspective). In the CoDZL video, he also has that same scar under his left eye. I highly doubt he came into shooting with that scar under his eye. He also is dressed almost the same as that picture. Treyarch could be epic trolling us with this, hoping that this discussion would start. But they look exactly the same, probably on purpose.

That sounds pretty good. I wish there were a few more details that gave us hints as to who this man is though.

Artist Rendition? Who pays a firm $1000s of dollars to get three of the characters spot on(sorry, I believe the other three are very close...close enough to where I didn't question who it was when I saw them) and then drastically mess up another? It makes no sense. Artist rendition is a huge cop out to not understanding why they would throw him in there. So here's my question. Whether you believe that it is Richtofen or not, tell me who the man on the poster looks more like. Does he look like Richtofen, or does he look like the man from CoDZL. Honestly that's all I want to know.

I dunno. That may be the CoD: Elite info. They've stated that it is coming out in September.

I have a feeling that we'll get to know this man more soon. I'm not even sure it's an introduced character yet.

Because the devs wanted to diversify the wonder weapons. That's the only reason I see. And look at the man's left eye in the poster. There is a scar under it. I'm not talking about the shadow under his right eye that is seen. There's a different scar that is not present on Richtofen that is present on the poster AND on the man from CoDZL. To those who disagree, answer me this. Do the man in the poster and the man in CoDZL not look more similar than the man in the poster and Richtofen. Whether you agree that it is or isn't him, just answer me that.

I love how this thread started as "Who is this man?" and it's taken a completely different turn and now that question is thrown into another thread.

And the scar we're speaking of is on the left side of his face, not the right.

Shooter. I get it. You don't agree. You've told us. But they still look nothing. Face-wise or body-wise.

I completely understand why you want it to be Richtofen. But the evidence doesn't add up. He may play a greater part of the story in BO2. Richtofen isn't present, which would suggest that this is a scene after Moon. Richtofen wouldn't be there in this case. So we still don't know who this is. It could be Gersche or Yuri or Maxis, or it could be no one we've met. I honestly have no idea who it is, which is why I posted this thread. I wanted input and I appreciate both sides of the argument, but I want to see evidence besides what I've seen so far for it being Richtofen before I will give into that belief.
