On another thread I just posted on:
-
I'm currently doing analysis on this, and it honestly seems like Maxis has a separate Easter Egg than Richtofen. Are we absolutely positive Maxis' Easter Egg has been fully discovered. It appears that Maxis accomplishes the a similiar task as Richtofen, but in a much different way. It is possible to do the Maxis Easter Egg without doing the Richtofen Easter Egg, correct? Analysis to come. Edit: Also, does Maxis not say anything after completing the Easter Egg like I see in the video?
-
They're coming up. Got some really juicy lines mentioning Bohemian Grove, Groom Lake, etc - Waffles That guy's seen it all! Cant wait.
-
Just listening to the end of it. There are two "spires" in Maxis' egg. The radio tower of babble would be one, and I'd assume the church or another radio tower would be the other.
-
HUGE THANKS WAFFLES! I can't believe we're getting this already. There is loads of information here people, time to soak it up. First thoughts. Sounds like Maxis had a different Easter Egg then he currently does for TranZit. Talks of a spire make me think it occered at the church. Either they niched the idea, or it's waiting to be uncovered. Analysis incoming. Big thanks Waffles.

Well I can't actually see the image you linked on my phone, but my guess would be it is a denizen portal you saw. Teleporters can be created by first turning the power on, and then running under one of the green street lights with a denizen on your head. Once you get under the light the creature will get off your head, burrow into the ground, and make a teleporter. Why they do that I haven't the slightest clue.

Two enormous ears, held together by an arrow and a knife jammed in between. Is there an allegorical mediaeval symbolism behind this, or are the horrible tortures one might expect in hell pictured here once more? Is the monogram on the knife an M of the B of Bosch? Maybe we will never know what Bosch --had between his ears -- when he was painting this picture. ABOUT THE ARTWORK: THE GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS Hi ronymus Bosch shows us how we mortal souls, arisen from earthly paradise, are on our way to the atrocious ordeals of hell via our unchaste lives on earth. The dark painting on the closed panels shows the Creation, surrounded by water, in accordance with mediaeval traditions. Hieronymus (Jeroen for short) Bosch was born (ca. 1450-1516) during the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance in ës-Hertogenbosch, in the Duchy of Brabant. Bosch places visionary images in a hostile world full of mysticism, with the conviction that the human being, due to its own stupidity and sinfulness has become prey to the devil himself. This fantastic and biblical sculpture from Renaissance master Heronymus Bosch is an amazing statue adaptations from a historic painting. It has a hellish and demonic surrealism to it that feels apocalyptic. This meticulously reproduced collectible art work is part of the 3D Mouseion Sculpture Collection made by Parastone, a renown European collectible manufacturer. http://www.all-art.org/early_renaissance/bosch10.html

~The Lesser of Two Evils~ the Theme Behind Zombies
Shooter replied to Electric Jesus's topic in Asylum
Great analysis EJ! The theme of "Maxis vs Richtofen" does seem to be appearing in the game, and I gotta say, I absolutely LOVE it. For the storyline guys it really couldn't get any better than that. I really hope it will come down to a final battle between the two. A battle of EPIC proportions. Team Maxis FTW -
Pictures/Art in TranZit - What do they mean?
Shooter replied to PINNAZ's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Good god. This is brilliant. Me and you think alike my friend. Although I disagree with the Sedan crater part because of the streetsign on Nuketown, it's still a very solid and well supported theory. I love how we drew the same conclusions about the Manhattan Project. Keep up all the great work dude, you've become a must read. Much respect. -
Boy, what a crazy last couple days it's been. With BO2 finally here, we're seeing loads of information pour in, even with some notable members taking a clear break to soak up BO2 in all it's glory. While the gameplay side of things is getting mixed reviews (I'm undecided as of yet), the storyline is stronger than ever. Today I'll bring you another thread of many as we piece together the pieces of the past, and solve the mysteries of the storyline that lie in wait. Before I begin, I'd like to say that Tac was a huge part in writing this thread. Without him, I'm doubtful I would have made such a strong connection to The Manhattan Project. I've been talking with him through text the last day or two hashing it out, so you can thank him for this as well. Now, let's start where we left off with Black Ops: Nuketown. Nuketown has been confirmed in Black Ops II to be located in Nevada, and that's where we'll begin. The Nevada Test Site The Nevada Test Site was set up on 680 square mile plot established by President Harry Truman on December 18, 1950 as the main testing grounds for America's nuclear bomb testing. The site was ideal because of it's extreme isolation, made up of mainly desert and rocky terrain. Located 60 miles outside Las Vegas, it wasn't uncommon to see the mushroom cloud after a detonation from Sin City. Trinity was a test of an implosion-design plutonium device. The same design was used on the Atomic Bomb that was detonated over Nagasaki, Japan, on August 9, 1945 at the end of WWII. The Trinity detonation produced the explosive power of 20 kilotons of TNT. The Manhattan Project was a secret military project created in 1942 to produce the first US nuclear weapon. Stemming from fears that the Nazis would build and use a nuclear weapon during World War II, the US established the Manhattan Project, which was originally based in Manhattan, New York, but later moved to three different facilities: Oak Ridge, Tennessee; at Los Alamos, New Mexico; and at Hanford, Washington. The last location is of great importance to us, but we'll get into that later. Remember The Manhattan Project and the Trinity Test, we'll be coming back to that in a just a bit. The events of Moon and Maxis' Bombing of Earth. During your time at Nuketown, radios can be heard throughout the match. On these radios, the events of the Big Bang Theory Easter Egg can be heard unfolding at the same moment. Also, in the beginning of the match, the zombies eyes are yellow, indicating Samantha is still in charge. However at one point, their eyes will suddenly switch to blue, which indicates that the soul swap has happened and that Richtofen is now in control in the Aether. These simple connection shows that the events of Moon and the bombings, and Nuketown Zombies occur simultaneously. At the end of your match at Nuketown, and you reach the game over screen, a rocket can be seen heading towards Nuketown. Maxis' rocket. Not sure that these two blast aren't one in the same? Well the game over screen tells it all. In the picture, Maxis' rocket is clearly seen heading towards Earth. You will note the large crater outside the map is already there, and the buildings are already destroyed, even before the rocket hits. Need more convincing? Let's look at the map select screen. We see one smaller crater about 250 feet out, and another massive crater just touching the edge of Nuketown. The smaller crater was another Nuclear Bomb being tested by the US Army earlier in the Nevada Test Site's history, while the big crater is courtesy of the bomb dropped on Nuketown during Operation Latchkey. Next, we'll get into why the crater of the new bomb was significantly larger. Ultimately, I believe we can now conclude the timeline for Moon and the events that follow are: July 1966 - June 1967 This time period would also fall directly into the current estimated timeline of No Man's Land: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 53&t=22997 Operation Paperclip, The Alsos Mission, and the American's use of Element 115 So where are we going with all of this? What's the significance of these two specific operations: Trinity And Latchkey? First, let's go back to 1945, to Operation Paperclip and the Alsos Mission. Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program used to recruit the scientists of Nazi Germany for employment by the United States in the aftermath of World War II. Upon their arrival, they would be told to stay and work for the same government agencies that had captured them. The use of Element 115 ceased after that test, and went to other uses at the Pentagon and Area 51. But there was still one last test with Element 115, during Operation Latchkey. This is the bomb denoted at Nuketown Zombies that we discussed earlier, and thus why the crater was such a massive size. It's clear a moderate amount of 115 was used in this blast. Extended radiation was bound to occur after the blast as well, bringing me to my next point. The Outbreak at Area 51 So how did the outbreak at Area 51 begin? Just as the zombies in Nuketown are created from the blast, Area 51 is affected but the radiation occuring afterwards. Looking at a map of the two areas, it's not hard to see how the effects of Element 115 radiation could have reached Area 51. Project Manhattan: The Hanford Site - TranZit's Location Once again... EJ! - viewtopic.php?f=100&t=24695#p237792 In case you have not made the connection by now, here it goes. Hanford, Washington. A nuclear production complex is established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project in the town of Hanford in south-central Washington. Designated The Hanford Site, it was home to the B Reactor, the first full-scale plutonium production reactor in the world. Plutonium manufactured at the site was used in the first nuclear bomb, tested at the Trinity site. But that wasn't the only element being tested at the site. Element 115 was being tested there as part of the Manahattan Project as well. [tab][/tab]On December 2-3 1949, The U.S. Government conducted an experiment release of radioactive fission products at the Hanford Site entitled "Green Run". Sounds familiar? The radiation from testing done at the Hanford Site remains in Hanford to this day and represents two-thrids of the US high-level radioactive waste. This is what leads to the outbreak of Zombies in TranZit. The map select screen for Green Run matches this, showing the map taking place in the northwest corner of America. We can conclude that Green Run is based in Hanford, Washington Well done EJ. Conclusion Are we realizing all the connections here to the Manhattan Project? From the initial letters in Kino, to Nuketown and Tranzit. The Manhattan Project plays a crucial role in the foundation of BO2 Zombies' story. But should we be surprised, Jimmy hinted it to us months ago: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 45#p227581 He wants us to know about the Manhattan Project and this why. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhattan_Project http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top ... an-Project http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Paperclip http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Latchkey http://www.scribd.com/doc/73626361/Unit ... ts-By-Date http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity_(nuclear_test) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_nu ... ted_States http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanford_Site I will continue to add this to this as I go as there are still some more connections. I know a few people are anxiously awaiting this, So I'm putting this out now. Ignore and spelling errors. Let's get discussing! Shooter Ex

PITFALL! & other Retro games hidden EE on Nuketown 2025
Shooter replied to MixMasterNut's topic in Multiplayer
AWESOME find my friend! I was hoping you were correct with the Pitfall theory you made awhile back. I was a big fan of Pitfall when I was just a wee little boy. Can't wait to jump on some croc heads! Again great find Mix! It's also cool that they decided to keep to tradition of the Nuketown Easter Egg. -
Note: Maxis never released any weapons or super soldiers to the Nazis, and he never had the desire to. In the conversation between Richtofen and Maxis about the nazi funding, Maxis even says how he's using the Nazi Party for funding, and would never actually have to help them since the war would be over relatively quick. Maxis put off production of the DG2 (even though it was ready for production) because he didn't want to help the Nazis. That's one of many things that angered Richtofen as we know. And we know the Nazis never got their undead army as well. Maxis attitude changed after he was betrayed and lost everything. Sure, he may have been a bad father, but does that make him evil? The lesser of two evils? There's only one evil here folks, and his name is Richtofen.
-
Maxis has lost everything thanks to Richtofen. His daughter, his work, his life. Richtofen destroyed Maxis' life. That sadistic maniac Edward is gonna get what's coming to him.
-
Great stuff Pinnaz you're drawing some good conclusions. I've got a thread coming later today that explains it all.
-
The question is, who's the guy?
-
To anyone complaining that the game sucks, please play it for more than one day before condemning the game completely.
-
It has not been proven to be in Germany from anything I have seen in the last three years, only the mere assumption based on the obvious Nazi symbols and vehicles. Agreed. It's date and location have never been confirmed.
-
You should really learn to be more humble. Just sayin'.
-
It's up to the game developer if they want to allow the option and add a feature for it. Most do not bother, so you're forced to listen to the game soundtrack. Although I think there might possibly be a way around it, I'm not positive as I'm an Xbox owner. I can listen to music at any time during the game, although I think it cuts off or goes near mute during cut scenes. Other than that it's fair game. I've heard it's because the 360's Dashboard is fully integrated into the system, allowing you to control it more freely over the game's soundtrack.

Very well said my long time brother in arms. It's sure been one hell of a journey the last two years here on the forum. I was going to make another thread like this, but I think it will suffice to just put this here. It's really just awesome to see the progress Zombies had made, and the progress we ourselves have made as a forum through the years. As Zombies gained popularity, we were right there at the forefront, without failure. Our members solve the easter eggs first, write the best theories, and have the most in-depth gameplay strategy guides you could ever ask for. It's a known fact Treyarch watches us closely, and it's not hard to see why with so many passionate members dedicated to the site. [tab][/tab]It's still difficult to grasp that the game is already here. The last year just flew by, most likely due to a significant amount of time spent here. It's the moment we've all been waiting for. In less than 12 hours, CoDz is going to increase immensely with traffic, and in the next week or so we should expect to see a surge of new members posting. Remember this day, because the days of 10- 20 new topics are gone, playtime is over. It's time to get our zombie-slaying faces on ladies and gentlemen, we've got freakbags to kill and truths to discover. As for me, I will probably be avoiding the site for the next few days as I discover all the great features of Black Ops 2 on my own. I will be playing on 360 though, so feel free to send me an invite if you'd like to play: ostonedshootero. I've got a couple threads to put out in the next hour or two, and I'll be starting a 2 or 3 day break while I get my hands all over BO2. Seeing as we're approaching the holiday season, I'll leave you guys with a great story from our pal, Richtofen. [soundcloud][/soundcloud] Check you on the flip side. Shooter

I ordered the Hardened edition from Amazon with Next Day(an extra $5, why not?) and they guarantee delivery on the same day of release(13th). I was just charged for it an hour or two ago, so I'm guessing they've already begun the shipping process. Not sure if GS is on top of it like Amazon is, but I would expect for you to receive the game on the 13th, the 14th at the latest.
