Nice. Just seems to confirm a lot of the stuff Lamia has already told us. Good to get a more solid confirmation though. Less than 3 weeks and counting! We're almost there folks! :)

I haven't found any significance to Zombies, but JZ recently changed the link below his name on his Twitter page. The new link connects you to Bill Moggridge, a British designer, author, and educator. His most significant achievement was the invention of the first laptop computer, in which he recieved many awards for. https://twitter.com/ZielinskiJimmy -
Welcome Graywolf! You shouldn't have any probelms finding some people to join your team for BO2 here. I imagine the teammate finder section will be extremely busy once BO2 drops. Whenever you're ready to set up a team, just head over there. Shouldn't have any problems finding players. TEAMMATE FINDER Thanks for posting an intro and again, welcome! Shooter

Dude, you literally took the thought right out of my head! I pondered the same exact thing, even contemplating my own presense here right after release. Do I make threads as I discover new things, or do I wait until I have all the possible pieces and then try to put the puzzle together. I'm already stretched for time right now as is, so it's hard to imagine the amount of CoDz time BO2 will take up. There's soooo much to cover this Zombie Season, and not enough hours in the day to cover it all.

No, people do the midnight release because they've waited all year to play the freakin game. It's that simple. And for some they'll stay up all night playing the game they've waited patiently over the last year for. It's the whole reason retail shops do midnight releases to begin with, to get the game as soon possible. Personally, if you've got school or work the next day, it's completely pointless has you don't really get time to play it when you get home. But if your schedule's open, why not? I'd be up til 1 or 2 anyways if I don't have to work, do mine as well get some playing time in. Oh and LOL at people getting all butt hurt over how others spend their time. I hate American Idol, but I'm not gonna go around criticizing anyone that enjoys the show. Get my drift?

You're making some pretty bold assumptions and wild overexaggerations about people whom you do not know based on a single sentence they've said. I'm sure we'll all be playing campaign and MP as well (btw I run a solid 2.30 ratio in TDM if it was me you we're referring to), but Zombies is kinda of prioity for the members here. Remember where you are my friend. I don't recall there being a seperate line for those that paid in full for MW3. I always pay in full in advance, so I know what you're talking about. But I don't beleive there is one unfortunately. But yeah man, I'm on that same thing. Gotta use up them days before they go to waste. BO2 seemed like a good enough reason! :)

Jet engine powered hand cannon. (New "wonder weapon") 10/18
Shooter replied to Shooter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Oh yeah, I agree. The lawnmower blades work, the leaf blower just seemed a bit funky to me lol. And I'm not sure if Treyarch would take possibly this into effect, but the gun could have simultaneous functions with the intake and exhaust working at the same time. Say you have the weapon facing foward, you could suck up freakbags into the blades, while the heat and pressure from the exhaust keeps zombies at bay from behind. I know that might sound wild, but in reality that's how it would actually work. If needed, you could flip the switch to reverse the direction, and offer the same benefits in different directions. I think I get what you're thinking. I agree though, it's important to not get too carried away with these things. I choose not to add certain things to some threads for that very reason as they begin to be hard to logically support. But hey, daydreaming is always fun. ;) -
Unfortunately enough, I will be standing in line before midnight for the release I generally wouldn't do so, but I have a hefty amount of PTO hours to blow off before the New Years, so I took a couple days off for it. And if any of you guys do decide to stand in line for the release at a Gamestop, I'd recommend you get there at least before 11pm or even right when they reopen for release. The Gamestop by my house opens at 10pm for releases, and I try to get there right around 10 or 10:15 if I can. You can usually hang out inside til like 11pm too, and then you'll only be standing in line outside for like an hour, and once midnight hits, you're in and out. If you wait til 11:30 to leave, you're gauranteed to stand in line til at least 12:45 if not later. The night are getting colder and colder near Chicago, gotta play it smart. And as for what I'll be playing, I'm diving head first into the storyline of TranZit.

I also believe these are the MDT blueprints, stolen from Der Riese by the Americans. A makeshift MDT to get the old gang home perhaps?

Jet engine powered hand cannon. (New "wonder weapon") 10/18
Shooter replied to Shooter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You're definately on the right track there Alpha. Funny when the trailer first came out we didn't have any of sort of bus drops or real info on buildables, just the fact they existed, but it was instantly noticable to me this would be one of those "buildables". The turbine just seemed to give it away. It's just too different than any other wonder weapon we've seen before. The leaf blower seems like a stretch though. Any turbine spinning at 80k RPM is gonna produce a ridiculous amount of PSI (or possibly KSI). But who knows maybe Treyarch would make it work. But anywho I see where you're going with this. It'll be interesting to see what Treyarch decides to do with it. And I totally I agree about the MDT. I believe we will be creating one from spare parts throughout the world of TranZit. How can we build a teleporter to get the old gang back home if there's no one left alive that we know of that can help us build one? Simple, we follow the bluebrints! But the question is how they ended up there, and that brings me to Der Riese. I also beleive these are the plans for the MDT from Der Riese, but I believe they were most likely seized from Der Riese by the Americans when the allies overran the base in 1945. This is also how they managed to create the teleporters at the Pentagon. I'd imagine America would be the last place for an actual 935 site. I know they had operatives in America, which I'd most likely assume were spies within various bases (Area 51 for sure). So these were most likely the stolen plans of the MDT from Der Riese, but why are they in this location? Well you might be on to something with Pennsylvania... Now make what you will of this, but there could be a possible connection. In 1886, the Westinghouse Electric Corporation was founded by George Westinghouse. The company were the first to produce long-distance power transmissions and high-voltage transmissions. They were the first to produce AC transmissions thanks to a patent from Nikola Tesla. Tesla was also employeed by the company in the late 1880's. From it's inception, they rivaled General Electric, and Westinghouse even held a grudge against it's owner, Thomas Edison. The rivalry continued all the way up until 1930's. They are now produce a wide range of nuclear products and services to utilities throughout the world, including nuclear fuel. Anywho, in the early 1940's the company officialy created a divison named the Westinghouse Aviation Gas Turbine Division who were in charge of building Jet Turbine engines. The first engine produced by the company was titled the J30. One of the applications for this engine, the Northrop XP-79B, the predecessor of the XP-79. A possible connection to the license plate of the bus seen in the trailer? Sorry, I wandered. Back to Pennsylvania. The Westinghouse Electric Corporation (Now Westinghouse Electric Company) is centrally located in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Perhaps just a coincidence, but interesting none the less. Now onto the possibilty of adding gas to the weapon to create a flamethrower type Thundergun like someone stated. It's totally possible, and seeing how gas turbines need gas to run on anyways, it could be as easy as adding a more potent fuel source. This weapon is sounding more badass by the minute folks. And adding some 115 from the PaP for safe measure like Alpha said, and I have a feeling this weapon is gonna mow down freakbags with ease. "In the combustion chamber, fuel is mixed with air to produce the bang, which is responsible for the expansion that forces the air into the turbine. Inside the typical commercial jet engine, the fuel burns in the combustion chamber at up to 2000 degrees Celsius. The temperature at which metals in this part of the engine start to melt is 1300 degrees Celsius, so advanced cooling techniques must be used." http://www-cs-faculty.stanford.edu/~ero ... s/how.html As Zombie-cowboy stated, the gauge is measuring temperature in Celsius, a common trait for Jet engines. I imagine that the gauge is not moving yet because the turbine is still spooling up and has not reached such high temperatures. There also appears to be a ready light for when the temperature reachs 1000 (1k), indicating the weapon may need to be "charged" before optimal use. This goes back to what EJ said about the ability to charge the weapon with the left trigger, and firing with the right when the temperature and pressure are high enough to create an explosion capable of taking out 50+ zombies. -
I like your attitude man, you got personality. One cool cat 8-) Enjoy your stay here

Jet engine powered hand cannon. (New "wonder weapon") 10/18
Shooter replied to Shooter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
- Mix Looks like ActionPackeddd has been enjoying my theories lately I suppose you mean this white cloud? It is odd, but it's too hard to tell what it is that's making the blast. It looks like some of the zombies themselves are leaving these foggy cloudy trails. The first and third parts like like fog unless I'm not seeing something. Updated the OP to add the info on how turbines work from one of the replies I made awhile ago. Also added the Sgtfrankwoods video about the weapon. -
Looks like a bunch of rocks. 8-)

Turbines you say? Hmm, sounds familiar. http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 17#p235020 -
The points can be explained by the fact that it is TranZit Mode, and the player is about 5 or 6 hours into the mode. As we know, no rounds exist in TranZit. And considering it's immense size and open world game layout, I think a save function for the game mode should be considered as a definite possibility. It would work much like Dead Island's Co-Op story mode. I just posted on another thread how I could see it might work: I like you're thinking here, I've contemplated quite a bit of this. I'm seriously considering the possibilty of a save function for TranZit. I know that sounds absurd to some, but we need to keep in mind this mode is much different than the classic zombie mode we're used to. TranZit is dubbed "Story mode" for zombies, so we can expect to see some significant changes for the mode. I could see it working on the same basis as Dead Island: each person's progress saves independently, but you can join each other online to help complete missions, do easter eggs together, etc. Every article has stated that TranZit has a HUGE open world game layout (again, much like DI), meaning there will be no loading screens and a nonlinear storyline. There will be many different ways to complete our ultimate goal, and I imagine we'll have ALOT of side quest Easter Eggs to discover that may even possibly change the overall outcome. They're doing it in campaign, so I'd say it's possible here. This story mode is gonna be unlike anything we've seen before, so things like cutscenes and a "final ending" are not out of the question. I think TranZit is going to blow people's minds. Now again, if you're saying that's too unlike Zombies, keep in mind we have an entire Survival mode dedicated to that. This is just what Treyarch meant when they said they had "free roam to do whatever they want". They're coming to impress. This also brings up the question of DLC. Will future DLC provide more unlockable locations for this single map? Or will there be other locations we travel to? (ie major city, winter environment) I'd like to see the second option, but I think Treyarch will make it work well either way. Just some ideas for you zombieheads to chew on

Welcome back! You made it just in time for the party See you and them big ol 'brows round the forum.

Heed my advice people, enjoy the calm before the storm. In less than a month, this place is going to blow up. Between TranZit's story, all the strategies and gameplay coming from Survival and Grief mode, not to mention Custom games and Nuketown zombies, and ranking systems. Oh, and theater mode? And oh, with Elite now being free we'll have even more challanges and other things coming up from that. I mean it's literally gonna be a madhouse around here on November 13. So kick back, soak it in, and make sure you get in any last big posts before BO2 drops. Cause once it hits, we're gonna be some be some busy bees. Zombees that is ;)
-
TranZit is being dubbed "Story Mode" for Zombies in BO2. It's technically not Zombies Campaign, but it's the closest thing to it. And Grief mode (4v4vZ) is not based on points, it's simply based on the last team standing.

That's interesting, I've never seen this connection before with Vraja. I'll have to keep this in mind. Im glad you posted this. Thanks! :)

New Campaign trailer to be shown tonight!!!
Shooter replied to jc18378's topic in General Discussion
This simply looks amazing. I seriously don't know what to be more excited about. Huge Zombies mode, an action packed Campaign, or the impressive as always multiplayer. I feel like it's a flat out steal, even at $80 for hardened. I can't wait. -
Elite for zombies!!!! The info you may have missed!!!
Shooter replied to bbobs2's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is correct. And nice job bbobs for posting this! Your image isn't working though, looks like you have an extra box in the beginning. Should work if you remove one of them. Oh and this is gonna be awesome. Finally I can show off my headshot skills. Hell yeah!
