It appears to be a battery charger, or a light hooked up to a battery with jumper cables. Could we have to jump the bus' battery before we can drive it?
-
This week, from October 8th until October 12th, Treyarch will be giving us a sneak peek at the bus that will soon be at our disposal in little over a month. We will recieve deilveries throughout the week in regards to the bus. However, these releases are time-exclusive and will only be up for a limited time. Check back each day to see what we discover, and discuss your ideas. You can follow all the releases here: http://community.callofduty.com/communi ... zombie-bus Thanks to [*:19rmb4m1]Reddonkeyham for Delivery 3.[*:19rmb4m1]Chloey for Delivery 4.[*:19rmb4m1]BBOBS2 for Delivery 5.[*:19rmb4m1]deathb4di2h0nor for Delivery 6.[*:19rmb4m1]PINNAZ for Delivery 7. Keep it up guys! You're doing great! It looks like the interval between releases is shortening as well, so stay on your toes! Delivery #1: Delivery #1 contains this image: "This here looks like it might be good for something." Delivery #2: Delivery #2 contains this image: "This should do, uhh....something" Delivery #3: Delivery #3 contains this image: "I wonder if this thing might fit with that other thing" Delivery #4: Delivery #4 contains this image: "Yep, I know exactly what that is, absolutely!" Delivery #5: Delivery #5 contains this image: "This should be the capper for this thing!" Delivery #6: Delivery #6 contains this image: "We should not let this type of equipment go to waste." Delivery #7: (Will do full update when I get home from work) Delivery #7 contains this image: "The zombies love this latest delivery, just be careful not to become its contents yourself. On second thought, maybe that would be a better alternative to a relentless hunger for human flesh (having glowing blue eyes could be cool, though)." Delivery #8: wUbVZAy8XeY "Collect the right pieces as you make your way through TRANZIT and you might have a chance to put them to good use. Shotguns are classic, and rifles are powerful, but neither can compare with the cover offered by the ZOMBIE SHIELD! We’ll ignore the rigor mortis to shell out a few well-deserved high-fives to those Zombie Bus followers who put the pieces together themselves already*. The buildable Zombie Shield is just one of many surprises we have in store as you make your way through the BIGGEST Zombies experience yet! Looking forward to seeing you all surprise hunting and zombie thrashing in TRANZIT soon!" *Oh Treyarch, you're making us blush.

Well I suppose if "It's Treyarch, anything is possible!" makes up 10% of your reasoning behind your theories, then you can go with it. For me I choose to leave as little if any of that type of reasoning in my theories and support it through information taken straight from the game (quotes, sound files, terinal files, etc). It just feels like a cop out to me when people go that route when they don't have any other support behind their. People tend to look WAY too far into things nowadays with the belief that everything has a meaning. As far the Mars theory goes, it ties back into what I just said. The theory was based on the fact that one of the texture files for Shangri La was a picture of a mountain similar to the one seen in the background of SL. The name "Mars" was in the texture file of this photo. I still don't believe that Shangri La is on Mars simply because there's too many big questions involved, but I can understand why people support the theory. And I think the artcile explains itself. "The zombie bus will be dropping exclusives","We'll be covering the Tranzit-touring transport (aka the bus)","Without help from the bus". I don't see how it's not clear as day what these drops are gonna be about, but that's jsut my opinion on it.
-
Zombie Week starts tonight. They'll be covering Zombie based videogames all this week. Not sure when exactly this week the JZ interview and Black Ops 2 will be covered though.
-
Without a little help from the bus, we won't survive. Okay, fair enough. "You won't find it online unless you know the latest Bus schedule." This sounds like it's saying that we won't be able to find the giveaways online unless we know the times that they're going up. Why would they mention online if they were talking about spawning in Zombies? They wouldn't. It sounds like a giveaway. I say GKNova6 in the sense that we have to go find websites or something to get secret information that will only be up for so long. I just don't see how that is talking about a spawn. Seems more like wording for their zombie deal this week. Ugh, just no. That makes absolutely no sense at all. That's not how cryptic messages work, especially with the GkNova type virally Treyarch is known for. I gave you an example of what a GKNova transmission would look like. Did you even bother to click the link I provided? Hell, just click on the GKNova6 subforum in the Treyarch section here on CoDz. That will give you an idea of what these messages look like. I'm trying to understand your reason, but I can't make any sense of it. People need to realize not every single thing Treyarch says or does has some alternate secret meaning. The worse mistake you can make is thinking that EVERYTHING has a meaning. It's simply not true. And the article is not referring to us having a different spawn. The article refers to how we will start outside of the bus. I just made a possible connection to the possibility of us spawning deprecate from one another. And my reasonings are much more sound than your idea. There's a chance your right though, a .00001% chance.

The Zombies Storyline: What we know so far (Video)
Shooter replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Seems like you covered the main jist of everything. Well done! :) -
Welcome Dan! Glad to hear we've got some more storyline guys coming back into the mix. We've been a bit of a dying breed as of late. You're writing skills will be of great use to us. If you feel like checking out some great theories regarding the story, I'd point you to the Research Facility: viewforum.php?f=67. Welcome again, and I hope you are prepared for the Zombies season. We're rapidly approaching the day we've been waiting all year for.
-
I don't really see how this could related to GKNova6. Any sort of GK transmission is going to be much more crpytic than this. Here's an example: viewtopic.php?f=115&t=24321 It seems like they're just going to be offering a sneak peak at what exactly we can do with the bus ("We'll be covering the TranZit-touring transport"). I seriously doubt there is some sort of GKNova6 viral beginning with this. That's another possible idea, but I doubt it will work in this manner. As we know, TranZit is going to be an open world layout, with no loading screens or individual areas. I don't think we'll be confined to any specific location at any time waiting for the bus (or teleporter like we would in previous maps). I think TranZit is going to function much differently than the zombie mode we're all used to (Survival). While I've agreed that the bus may be driving around on it's own on a specific path and schedule when we start, I doubt we'll be required to wait for it like we would with the teleporter in NML. It wouldn't be suiting at all to the play style of an open world environment. Again I'd like to reaffirm there is no "maps" within the world of TranZit. The world IS our map in TranZit. Areas like the farm and bus terminal are just areas of this huge world. I can see us spawning in the part of the world that is located near the bus terminal, and we must find the bus or wait for it to arrive at the station. It's also possible that the bus is inside a garage within the terminal itself, and we must explore the building to unlock it. But either way, I don't see us being required to wait for the bus at any point.
-
Well now I'm 99% sure we won't actually be starting inside the bus. We wouldn't have to find it if we start inside of it. Starting at the bus terminal or bus stop is definitely a possibility though, but I see that more as the bus finding you rather than you finding the bus. I could see the bus being on a timed schedule, making specific stops at the terminal and other bus stops. Sort of tieing into your second idea. This might also explain Treyarch teasing at knowing the bus schedule. In my head I see it as them being a bit closer than that. I was picturing them being within a couple blocks of each other in a small town area, perhaps centering around the bus terminal. Anything's a possibility with this new mode. And I could see it working really well. We're unaware of how the matchmaking will work on TranZit, but with the MP engine now being used, I see it as a possibility players will be able to join mid game (kinda like Dead Island). I wouldn't discredit it as an option. It would actually work quite well with the open world map and a solo start separated from the team would be well suited to this. Sorry, I'm Just rambling off ideas here. Anywho, I see us starting in the general vicinity of each other. I just think it'd be a really cool and unique start.
-
Hahaha you got some good jokes man! Seriously though, this is a great little article. Not over complicated yet easy to get the jist of what to do. Me and my buddy used the same strategy in the war room. Glad to see the caveman decided to come out and write an article ;)
-
Any ideas help! There's no crazy answers when it comes to messages as mysterious as this. Both phrases seem a bit weird really. "A Beseeched Hell" is somewhat normal, but "A Lumps Lynx Wort" is just jibberish. Even when you break down the meaning, the sentence doesn't make any sense. It's got to be code for something. There's soemthing we're missing.

Awesome. Thanks for the update.

I've compiled a simple list explaining everything that we know about the new game modes so far. I will continue to update this list as we learn more. Let me know if I missed anything. TranZit (Story Mode) [*:3qj36ow2]1-4 Players[*:3qj36ow2]New "story mode" for Zombies[*:3qj36ow2]4 Brand new characters, which are unique to the TranZit game mode.[*:3qj36ow2]New weapons, as well as returning fan favorites.[*:3qj36ow2]Massive open area game world with interconnected zones. No loading screens or individual maps.[*:3qj36ow2]Your goal in Tranzit is simple: kill all the undead that you come across and leave a trail of bodies in your wake. You and your team jump between a number of locales along the way, doing what appears to be defensive stands and clearing them out before moving on to the next place.[*:3qj36ow2]You can choose to travel from location to location at will via the bus seen in the trailer. You also have the option of making the venture on foot through the fog, but surviving will be difficult.[*:3qj36ow2]TranZit will follow the events of Moon, occuring in a post-apocalyptic world. The story will tie back into the story of our gang on Moon.[*:3qj36ow2]New Zombie types[*:3qj36ow2]Items scattered throughout the world can be collected to make "buildables". Buildables can be used to create weapons, tools, devices, and defensive items as well. Items can also be built to help open other areas of the map.[*:3qj36ow2]The homemade riot shield seen in the trailer is an example of a buildable. The riot shield can be planted into the ground as a means of defense.[*:3qj36ow2]Useful items can be found by traveling through the fog on foot.[*:3qj36ow2]Some weapons will be "based on future tech from the games campaign"[*:3qj36ow2]"There are new wonder weapons that are magical in nature"[*:3qj36ow2]There will be plenty of Easter Eggs hidden throughout the TranZit environment. Just a small theory I got for you guys tonight about the start of the TranZit mode for Zombies. This is what got me wondering... "You're not gonna survive Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 Zombies without a little help from the Bus, and you won't find it online unless you know the latest Bus schedule." This is what got me thinking. If we have to "find it online", it's gotta mean we start outside of the bus. And that got me thinking more. Considering this is a new game mode and Zombies' Story Mode, I don't think we'll start as we normally would in past games, with the group together. I've got a suspicion when we first start in Tranzit, you will be seperated completely from your teammates in a small part of the world. Soon you guys find each other and then find the bus to start the journey. I just think that'd be an awesome start to the game mode, and would be something new and fresh. I mean how cool would it be to start to a whole bunch of zombies all around you and no teammates by your side. All you can do is run. And then when you finally find another person it would be one of those "Hell yeah! Let's GO!" moments. You guys could still communicate via headsets, but it would be a frantic and andrenaline filled start to say the least. What do you guys think? Would that be cool or what? 8-) Shooter

Zombies release countdown and DLC news.
Shooter replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Next week is setting up to be very eventful! Can't wait! Also punkrock, for the time-exclusive releases regarding details on the bus, make sure to provide this link: http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/feed. That is the direct link to the Zombie Intel page on BO2's website. Callofduty.com recently added this Zombies Intel section to the site, you may want to keep an eye on it in the future as well. And one more interesting thing I caught with that small article about the bus details being released. "You're not gonna survive Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 Zombies without a little help from the Bus, and you won't find it online unless you know the latest Bus schedule Must mean we're starting outside the bus. I've got a suspision when we first start in Tranzit, you will be seperated completely from your teammates in a certain part of the world. Eventually you guys find each other and then find the bus to start the journey. I think that'd be an awesome start to the story. -
 An introduction within an introduction. It's Inception, CoDz style! Welcome Ballzdeep and Ruby Winglet! We're glad to have you both on the forums!

New Footage Coming October 12th
Shooter replied to Shapeshifter's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I imagine we might see one or two tidbits here and there, but nothing too significant until release. Who knows though, they do have ALOT to show off this time around. Oh, and it looks like we're going to see more information about the bus leading up to this new footage as well. Can't freaking wait! We're getting close people! -
Zombies release countdown and DLC news.
Shooter replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I was gonna make a new thread about this, but figured it'd be best suited here. When we get close to Monday, you might want to note in the title to look out for the feeds coming from the Zombies Feed on callofduty.com http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/feed I'm just giving a heads up for all you guys anxious to get some more zombies info. The latest Zombies Intel from callofduty.com talks of "time-exclusive info" coming for Black Ops 2. From 10/8 - 10/11, zombie feeds will be shown for a limited time only on the site. We've got to make sure keep our eyes on this at the start of next week. Stay vigilent! -
I actually expect we'll get some good info from this interview. We're coming up to the one month til release mark, and I imagine we'll get some juicy details or new footage. Any more details on when the JZ interview will be exactly? It looks like they'll be highlighting all sorts of different zombies games, so that's reason enough to watch. But I want to make sure I don't miss that interview.
-
I'm curious about this as well. It's been over a month since this update was announced, and we haven't seen anything change. We've only got one month until BO2 releases and I'm sure there will still be bugs after we switch to vbulletin as well. Just seems to be cutting it close here guys. I know Rome wasn't build overnight and all, but we could really use some sort of update(s) along the way. At least as a common courtesy to us hardcore users who aren't in the loop. On a side note I have another generous donation waiting for CoDz as soon as I see some progress. Yes, that was a bribe
-
Ok, I'm stumped. I spent a solid 2 hours last night trying to figure this damn thing out. Seems to be much more cryptic than the first transmission. It doesn't appear to be a cipher of any kind. I'll note it's a bit odd that every letter in the sentence is capitalized (A-B-H-A-L-L-W). I attempted to plug the letters in for an anagram, but it doesn't appear to make anything. The only word it came up with was Bhalwal, an area of Pakistan. Don't think there's any relevance to it. I also tried searching the combination of words but couldn't find anything that connects. The second sentence seems to be a code of some sort, but I'm puzzled. I'm gonna try and give it another shot later tonight if I can. If anyone's got any ideas make sure to post them! We solved the first one so quickly because we were bouncing ideas off each other. Let's get this bad boy solved already!

It would mean he was born in 1935. He also joined at 9:35 am. Group 935.

Yes, there's a man that goes simply by "X" in the terminal files. "X" sent emails to Hudson, Mason, and Weaver in 1977 and 1978. He seems to be more related to the campaign of Black Ops rather than the Zombies storyline. But it could be someone's play on words. Here's a link to the messages from "X" found on the terminal: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... hp?t=18419 Whoever MrX was, something spooked him off.

THE ORIGINAL FOUR WILL RETURN! (In "some form")
Shooter replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Great stuff here. I searched for Green Run a little while ago but couldn't come up with anything significant. "Most of Hanford’s air releases came from the routine operation of the chemical plants used to separate plutonium and uranium from used reactor fuel. Some of the air releases came from the nuclear reactors along the Columbia River. The major radioactive releases occurred between 1944 and 1957. The largest ones were during 1945, when there were no filters on the stacks of the separations plants. In only five months, Hanford discharged more than half of the entire amount of iodine-131 released during the entire 1944-1972 period. Radioactive materials in the form of gases and particles went up the stacks." It seems that the majority of the widespread radiation in Hanford during Green Run was spread through the air. Perhaps we are going to play a level that will include this type of radiation, or a new type of mutated zombie as a result of such radiation. Good Find. http://nuclearhistory.wordpress.com/201 ... green-run/ http://toxipedia.org/display/toxipedia/ ... +-+Hanford -
To be frank, I'm not too sure the Illuminati has that much presence in Zombies anymore. They haven't had control of Richtofen since Kino Der Toten based on his quote "The Illuminati will never get their hands on me again!". The last symbolism we truly see of the Illuminati was on the computer screen of Ascension. It could be coming back into the story with Black Ops 2, but the subject pretty much died out after Ascension. An interesting side note. The voices Richtofen was hearing during his betrayal and take over are now being heard by Samantha in Richtofen's body “No,NO! I hear the voices in YOUR head!” - firesale_2. Could Richtofen's body have been possesed by some sort of demon, telling him to accomplish such a goal for a darker power. "Something far more terrible than you lies here." The voices were only the beginning. Now there's someone much stronger, and darker, in control of Richtofen's soul. He has taken control with the help of his pawn Richtofen. The gateway to Hell has opened. Well we're not sure it's going to take place in 2025 quite yet. I haven't read anything confirmed, but I recall reading article somewhere that said it didn't appear to be in the future but more "modern day, middle America". I'll try and find the article. So it's possible this might occur after the events of Moon in 2012. Or the events of Moon were during 2025. Both are possible I guess. EDIT: "First of all, there's not a whiff of hint in this trailer that Blops II's Zombies mode has any connection to the sequel's near-future-America-under-high-tech-attack story. Instead, it looks like, well... it looks like a game of co-op civilians-vs-zombies, set in some sort of middle-America wasteland. There even appears to be some sort of world map, though it's not clear if that's just for presentation purposes in the trailer or if it is its own thing."? http://kotaku.com/5946635/the-new-zombi ... crazy-game And I thought it was confirmed this new girl was the one seen in the reveal trailer, with the other new playable characters as a new character.
