We shouldn't expect to see anything Zombies related until after the Multiplayer Reveal.

The magazine cover states Raul Menendez is a 60 year old Nicaraguan. The man in the video appears to be a little bit older, but not by much. It's hard to make out the date on the magazine, but it appears to be 2025. Cordis Die, or "The Heart" appears to be some sort of revolutionary movement sweeping across America. Raul Menendez is the supposed "savior" of the 99%, sparking a revolt against the 1% of the people (corporations and governments) that run this country. However it appears that "Raul Menendez" is only using this revolt for his own agendas. Perhaps "The Heart" has an alternate meaning for striking at "the heart" of America.

[brains] EXCELLENT post here John! Well thought out, well supported, well researched. I've seen you're name coming up in the story discussion lately, and this just supports the fact you know what you're doing. Keep it up John, I see big things coming from you! Of all the possible locations I've heard for Shangri-La recently, this one probably has the most potential thus far. It's circumstantial evidence, but it's pretty strong, and there's quite a few connections: The more reasearch I'm doing on this Mt. Baigong and the Dropa stones, the more connections I'm beginning to find as well. I'm not too sure how far in the past Shangri La actually is, but if we do travel pack to a far away past during the eclipse, and the water is still there after the eclipse is over, then the water must not just dry out over time. That, or when we travel back in time during the eclipse, we don't go that far into the past, and the water is still there. I believe there might be another explanation for the water: Back to the eclipse though, they could be going back to ANY point in time. Since Brock and Gary go back to an unknown point in time at the start of the first radio during an eclipse, and we are going back to the same point in time as them during the eclipse, the date of the eclipse could be anyone's guess. I hope that made sense? Basically, it's just too hard to tell exactly how far back in time we go. Overall, you've made some really great connections, and alot of this stuff does make sense. Again I will stress that it is circumstantial. But with what Tryearch's giving us, that's about all we got. So far there's been circumstantial evidence to support theories that Shangri-La is located in: Tibet (Mt. Baigong), Mars, The Arctic, Antarctica, The Moon, Near Area 51. Of all these, this thread seems to have the most supporting evidence. [tab][/tab]Anywho, really great stuff here John. I'm really hoping this thread gets some attention that it rightly deserves. Oh, and sorry it took me so long to respond to this. Shooter :)

Do you like it Simple? Or Complex?
Shooter replied to KyleTheZombieSlayer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Personally, I love all the changes and new features that has been added as Nazi Zombies has grown into what it is today. You walk the line when you implement change. If you don't add anything new, people will get bored and complain. Add too much and the regular players will get upset and complain. The key is finding a good medium, which I believe Treyarch has done extremely well. I can't wait to see what's to come in the biggest seasons of Zombies yet! Oh, and welcome to CoDz! You've come here right in time! :) -
What I want to be in Black Ops 2 Zombies
Shooter replied to ZombiesUK's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I wouldn't sweat it! It looks like you'll get alot of what you're looking for in BO2! 1-6: I believe these issues will be covered by the upcoming use of the multiplayer engine in Zombies. I think the use of the MP engine will ensure that any of the problems that plauged Black Ops (specifically for high round players) will be non-existant in BO2. 7 & 8: Hopefully this will be fixed so that the leaderboards are not limited as they are now. Nothing can be more frustrating to reach a 100+ round game and only having 99 show up on the leaderboard. I'm sure there will be a bit more focus and detail on the leaderboards this time around, and hopefully some more safegaurds from keeping hackers and glitchers off the leaderboards. 9 & 10: I believe Elite will most likely support these additonal features and data tracking. That extra $50 for Elite will be worth it this time around. 11: Theater mode has already been confirmed: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=22633#p218185 :) -
I can't tell if he did or not. In the terminal it lists the locations of Element 115 and in it, it says Moon is a location via an astronomical team. We assume that the only person with access to the Terminal is Dr. Maxis and he made the post. Now, I can't be sure if by Astronomical Team they mean a group of people who observe the Moon or that he knows about Richtofen's journey to the Moon, but I don't think that observing the Moon will tell them that 115 is there. I'm still under the impression that Maxis was never aware of the existance of Griffin Station. Richtofen would have made it his number one priority to keep the station a secret from Maxis. Maybe one of the other 935 members working at Griffin Station let the cat out of the bag, but I don't think Maxis was aware of it. Computerized voice: “Target located.” Dr. Groph: “Bring him here, immediately.” (Gas hissing and bangs are heard followed by the sound of a teleporter. The thumping of someone landing is heard afterwards) Dr Schuster: "Greetings, Dr. Maxis." Ludwig Maxis: “Schuster! I should’ve known. Where is that rat Edward? Where are we? And how did you get me out of that wretched tunnel” Dr Groph: “None of that is important right now. Allow me to fill you in” Maxis doesn't seem to recognize his surroundings when he arrives at Griffin Station, and after that he's presumably killed, giving him no time to enter the data in the terminal. I don't recall seeing one, but there isn't a date on that terminal file, is there?

I tend to disagree. The most obvious reason to ultimately cut the quote is to keep us zombie fans guessing on the fate of the gang until the next game. I think they knew they'd be continuing the story in BO2. And instead of hinting at what actually happens after the nukes, they want to make us think the Earth was truly blown up and that our gang would just be trapped at Griffin Station forever. If it got to the point of actually making a recording of the quote and adding it to the game files, then they must have put some thought into it beforehand. Although I do agree, some sound file quotes aren't added and aren't relatable for specific reasons (wonder weapon machine for CotD). However, I see this quote as being much more relevant to the story, only being cut at the last minute for the reason stated above.

Sweet, I'm glad you said this Tac. I was just reading a bit more about it from one of the pilot's journals, and it appears that specific division of pilots didn't even actually arrive until late 1962 at the earliest, so that narrows it down to a timeframe of 1962 to 1968. I agree, it all seems to point that it is indeed in the 60's when we visit No Man's Land. The sirens and clothes seem to be pretty indicators for me. Also, you make great points about the time travel during teleportation. Now that I think about it I don't see why they'd want it to travel through time. It appears they we're only using it as a way to get to Moon. Oh, and you're right. I'm sure Richtofen would've just screwed up the calculations a bit as usual.

All updates have been made. Again I thank, and reward everyone that submits videos in youtube link form. It makes it MUCH easier to do quick updates on this, as I seem to be updating the thing all the time. 45 updates. This just shows the unrelenting love that the zombie fans still have, even a year and a half after the game was released. Black Ops 2 is gonna be insane, to say the least.

I'm glad you mentioned this MMX. The only thing we can confirm from the information is that the initial outbreak occurs sometime from 1957-1968. When we actually visit during the Moon map is still questionable. There's nothing saying it couldn't have occured 40 or so years later, and the zombies are still there (and still dressed in their 60's uniform when we visit). Whether the zombies would just survive there for 40 years is questionable too, but I'd doubt Treyarch we get that far into it. It's really hard to say without a full confirmation. There's also evidence to support the theory that it takes place in the 60s as well. [*:3s6lwz4o]The clothings match that of the zombies. [*:3s6lwz4o]The intial outbreaks might explain why the NML zombies just keep coming out. You're getting there right when the outbreak begins. You have an entire base of zombies coming after you. The siren's are going off because the base has been overrun. [*:3s6lwz4o]The timeframe may be before or after the events of Five, occuring in 1963. First the Pentagon comes under attack, then Area 51. I'm leaning more towards the 60s right now, but I'm still unsure about it. Both are very possible. As for the Earth formations, that's another story in itself. I plan in commenting on the thread in a bit. Is there any way we know for sure that we're not traveling forward in time when we teleport to Moon?

Greetings folks! Today I decided to play a game of Zombies on Moon, and of course ended up getting caught up thinking about the story. That Moon loading screen draws me in every time! Anywho, I got about 30 seconds into my game before spotting this all too familiar image. I don't believe this has been discussed before, as the time of No Man's Land has remained a mystery. Until now. Sorry for the crappy pics guys, brains for anyone with some better ones!: "Greetings From Groom Lake Nevada Detachment 1, 1129th Division Special Activities Squadron" Detachment 1, 1129th Divison SAS was a group of Air Force pilots chosen to be the test pilots of new military aircrafts being researched and produced by the US government. These tests were done under complete secrecy at Groom Lake from 1962 to 1968. These 1129th Division SAS pilots were apart of a bigger project, titled Project OXCORT. Here is a summary of the program: "In a ceremony at Groom Lake on 26 June 1968, Vice Admiral Rufus L. Taylor, Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, presented the CIA Intelligence Star for valor to pilots Kenneth S. Collins, Ronald L. Layton, Francis J. Murray, Dennis B. Sullivan, and Mele Vojvodich for participation in the BLACK SHIELD operation. The posthumous award to pilot Jack W. Weeks was accepted by his widow. The United States Air Force Legion of Merit was presented to Colonel Slater and his Deputy, Colonel Maynard N. Amundson. The Air Force Outstanding Unit Award was presented to the members of the OXCART Detachment (1129th Special Activities Squadron, Detachment 1) and the USAF supporting units." Why would they put up a banner in a classified government hangar that no one is suppose to see? Well they put it up for the ceremony to celebrate the success of the flight program. The ceremony was held on June 26, 1968. The last part is of course theory as to the exact year or date. It's also possible that the banner was hung for a ceremony to celebrate the 1129th Division SAS pilot's 500th flight, occuring on October 3rd, 1966 . The only thing we can confirm from the information is that the initial outbreak occurs sometime from 1962-1968. When we actually visit during the Moon map is still questionable. Here is a summary of the program: [tab:199xa0ph][/tab:199xa0ph]"In Summary; the OXCART Program lasted just over ten years, from its inception in 1957 through first flights in 1962 to termination in 1968. This CIA program was highly compartmentalized while at Groom Lake, the players consisting of CIA personnel (the customer), the Air Force 1129th Special Activities Squadron (support), and various CIA contractors for special project operations. The main objective of creating a reconnaissance aircraft of unprecedented speed, range, and altitude capability had been triumphantly achieved. Lockheed produced 15 OXCARTS, three YF-12A's and 31 SR-71's. The 49 supersonic aircraft had completed more than 7,300 flights, with 17,000 hours in the air. Over 2,400 hours had been above Mach 3. Five OXCART were lost in accidents; two pilots were killed, and two had narrow escapes. In addition, two F-101 chase planes were lost with their Air Force pilots during OXCART testing phase." We can now conclude that the events of No Man's Land (the outbreak at least) has occured sometime between 1962 and and 1968. So why 1968? Well the article goes on to state another interesting thing: [tab:199xa0ph][/tab:199xa0ph]"In a ceremony at Groom Lake on 26 June 1968, Vice Admiral Rufus L. You sir are correct. Maxis is indeed dead, presumably killed that fateful day at Griffin Station, and his soul is trapped in Aether. The first quote suggests Samantha saw her father die, supporting the fact he was shot that day at Griffin Station: Samantha Moon Quotes “Why did Daddy have to die?” - upgrade_wait_1 "Daddy, is that you?” - powerup_axxxes__plr2 (negative(red) powerup drop) “Daddy, make him stop!” - quest_step_7 “TAKE ME TO MY FATHER” - boxmove "But I want my body back! And I will destroy that evil Richtofen for taking daddy away!" All these quotes support that Samantha has seen her father die, but she still asks for his help to stop Richtofen. We can conlude that Maxis is dead, presumably on Richtofen's behalf (based on the last quote). After he is killed, is soul is transferred to Aether, where he then transferes is soul to the intercom and computer at Griffin Station to help minimize Richtofen's damage he will cause(think Gersch on Ascension). I've often heard that his response is an AI system that was put into the computer by Maxis. However, this really doesn't make much sense as Griffin Station was hidden from Dr. Maxis. The biggest indicator however is the responses made by Maxis. A few are based directly on what Richtofen has said. There's no way Maxis could have known exactly what he was going to say: Also, Maxis has another quote that is said after the nukes hit the Earth, that Treyarch ultimately left out of the game. "Well, that was a much larger explosion than I had anticipated. I have done all I can, I certainly hope those calculations were correct." I think we can conclude Maxis is in Aether, and has the ability to communicate via electrical devices just as Gersch did while we were at Ascension.

Sorry guys, I meant to update this earlier today. I have some family stuff going on right now that has taken up my life and any free time I had. If everyone could submit any of the current records that need updates and I'll do a full update tomorrow night. Brains for everyone that can get my the updated records. Thanks everyone and sorry for the inconvenience. Shooter

Welcome! Sounds like you have an interest in both th egameplay and theories, so you'll fit in great around here! I love the enthusiam as well. We'll see you around! [brains]

"Oh great, another Intro thread!" :x Now that we got that out of way, bare with me. I'll try to make this short and sweet and try not to ramble too much. To be completely honest, I spend just as much time replying to other people's post that I do on my own. I like to include as much details I can with my responses if it's possible, so I tend to over do it a bit sometimes haha. I've loved CoDz since the first day I came here. I originally signed up to participate in the Ascension Easter Egg discussion, but ended up falling in love with the place. I had always viewed the site, but never signed up to post stuff. I learned quickly it was the people that make this place what it is. It truly is a hard thing to come by on forums. I've only experienced this much friendliness and all around good attitude on another automotive forum I was apart of some time ago. Another thing that drew me in was the fact you could talk so openly with the admins and founder so easily. It really makes it feel like family here. Everyone brings something different to the table in some way. Individually we are stong. But when we unite, there is truly nothing we can't do. No clue we cant decipher, no record we can't break, no Easter Egg we can't solve. Resident Evil was always one of the best series growing up playing the original Playstation. I'll never forget Jill and Chris Valentine from RE1, or the first time I saw the Licker cutscene from RE2 with Leon and Claire. Oh great I'm rambling. Well I'll finish this up now and tell you a little bit about me. I'm 24 years old, live in the suburbs right outside Chicago. Im huge into sports and cars. I love hanging with my buddies in my free time and just chilling and playing video games. Music is also a huge part of my life. I love going to concerts. I'm a huge fan of Hip Hip, Rock and Alternative, and Blues/Folk Rock. I love absolutely all types of music except the occasional techno song. I'm a really easy going guy, and just a chill dude to talk to. Feel free to send me a friend request on XBL or Skype. I'd love to get to know the rest of you better! XBL: oStonedShootero Skype: oStonedshooter On to the threads. If you get a minute, check them out. Leave some comments. Actually, let me take one last minute to thank two CoDz members in particular: Tac: I've learned everything about the story from you Tac. From your "Time and Location of All Zombie Maps", to your radio transcripts, to a hundered other threads you've written. But it really all changed after our work together on the Timeline thread (Which we will still be updating). I learned so much from you from all the conversations we've had together. And it now continues to this day. Perhaps that's why I see you as my twin here on CoDz. I learned it all from you. Can't wait to see what else we'll be able to come up with this upcoming Zombies season! Eye: What can I say Eye, except what I've already said. I wouldn't be here without you. If it weren't for your message in March, I may have never returned. For those unaware, I was an extremely active member here at CoDz up until December. A promation at work ended up getting in the way and I lost my time for everything, including CoDz. I had only crept from time to time to see who was there and what was happening. But then one day Eye randomly messaged me. He told me I should really get back into it. With some more free time opening up, I was able to start getting back on and posting again. The itch was back and stronger than ever now. I regret ever leaving, and wish I didn't ever have to, but I can assure anyone that's doubtful that I won't be making that mistake again. I'm CoDz for life, and will be til it's dying day. I'll still wake up every morning and go straight to my phone to view the active topics, eyes still crusted from the sleep. I'm an addict, and CoDz is the only fix. I need it to live. I breathe CoDz. I bleed CoDz. If it weren't for Eye, I wouldn't be here and able to say this with such confidence. I thank you Eye, from the bottom of my zombie loving, CoDz bleeding heart. I love CoDz, and everyone that is apart of the CoDz family. I thank you all. Thanks guys! Shangri La's Arctic Location - Admiral Byrd's Secret Flight
Shooter replied to Shooter's topic in Shangri-La
He notes the rainbow colored snow way before reaching the mountains just outside Shangri La. I think part of the city may have been below the snow and ice that he passed over early in his mission. Like you said he doesn't mention rainbow colors when he crosses over mountains, jungle, and see the city in foreground. It's not until they take an "invisible" elevator down in their aircraft. It says it took them 7 minutes to land, and then they took another elevator down "for some time". It's not until he gets to the bottom of that elevator that he sees the colors of Inner Earth. The mention of the crystal building seems to be right below the Earth or part of Shangri La itself. Hence why there's so much mention of crysal during the Shangri La quotes ("The crystal is rising!") I don't know, the story just seems so interesting considering some of the similarities. Oh get what you're saying now. Because Byrd isn't the author, the source might be off. I gotcha. Well I think regardless of the author, the novel still exist. And it will always be linked to Byrd regardless if he actually even wrote it. Perhaps Byrd was chosen as the character because of his past experience with the first UFO and the U boats in Antarctica. I'm pretty sure he didn't write it either, but the novel is about him and his trip to Inner Earth. He's linked to it whether he likes it or not. Byrd just happen to be a good person to base it on with the whole U boat experience and then this novel based on him. How much they're taking from him is unclear, but it sure seems like they are. -
Shangri La's Arctic Location - Admiral Byrd's Secret Flight
Shooter replied to Shooter's topic in Shangri-La
So you're saying it was just copied from his 1928 flight simply because the pre flight checks were similiar? I'm not quite sure what you're getting at? If that's the case though just remember that ALL pre flight checks would be the same or very similiar. That's the whole reason they do the checks and check off all the same things everytime. I don't know, perhaps I'm not understanding what you're trying to say? also so pretty blatant plagiarism there... also needless to say that a plane flight over the North Pole at any time in February would only result in total darkness, as it is dark 24 hours a day for several months (one of the months being February). This whole world is filled with plaigirsim my friend. Hell you know how many times the plot of Romeo and Juliet has been used in movies? Two people from battling group fall in love. Yeah, that's only happened a 1000 times . But people don't just say, this is plaigirism. I think this to be just as much a coincidence as plaigirism. I see a striking similarity between the two passages yes, especially with some of the choice words, but beyond that it just sounds like their explaining a similiar situatuion. Whether you see it as plaigirism or similiar ideas is really up to the reader. Perhaps it is plaigirism. But that's beyond the point. The point you're trying to make is that the "secret diary" is fictional. My question for you is, so what? Treyarch has based the story of Zombies, to an extent, on the Vril Ya. An ancient civilization discussed in the FICTIONAL book The Coming Race. They have no problem basing the story of zombies around fictional stories. In fact, Treyarch probably prefers these fictional stories that seem true so they have room to add their own ideas or concepts, while still having a somewhat "reliable" source. I don't believe Byrd's "secret flight" really happened, but in the world of Zombies, it did. b. the beings are tall and blond in the Secret Diary, the zombies in the map shangri la are normal height and have dark hair... [ Image ] I feel like I'm nit picking, but for real this is a well put together thread, and I'm not opposed to the idea of Treyarch following some aspects of Byrd v COTD x Shangri La - but I just don't think this is what Jimmy Zielinski was getting at. I don't think that these beings Byrd allegedly met were/are the inhabitants of the BO map Shangri La, and I don't think just because Byrd saw a mountain range that it automatically makes it the "Shangri La Mountains" Jimmy was talking about. That's my point, I believe Treyarch is using parts of Byrd's stories to base the story of zombies. Some things they add on their own to better suit the maps: Russian symbols on Subs, Asain zombies in SL. It just seems like too much of a coincidence that Byrd's stories relate so much to things happening in zombies. I'd also just like to add that theorizing isn't easy. It takes alot of time and research. The best we can do is provide members with a theory, using as many sources of evidence to make the theory seem more and more plausible. The best we can do is defend our ideas with as much supporting evidence as possible. It's much easier to tear apart someone else's theory than to create one of your own. That being said, I'd just like to thank you for taking the time to read the thread and discuss it with me. There's nothing worse for a Theorist to write a thread just to have no one read it or discuss it. [brains]
