Completed all easter eggs and only have focusing stone.Help!
Shooter replied to george2617's topic in Moon
During the Call of the Dead Easter Egg is when you give Richtofen the Golden Rod. So if you never did the CotD EE, he will only spawn with the Focusing Stone since you never got the Golden Rod during CotD. I'm taking it you did the Shangri-La Easter Egg, and that's why you start with the Focusing Stone. -
Some other frustrating things is when you try to start your circles, and the entrance you have to run past literally has 15+ zombies come out at once instead of the 4 or 5 at a time. Like they don't even give you a chance from the start. Another frustrating thing is when they only spawn 4 or 5 zombies in the water puddles and you only get around 1200 before starting your circles. If you're going for Mustang and Sally's, you pretty much gotta restart if that happens.

Yes, it's possible to get two or more hackers at the same time. To get two Hackers, you both must hit the Hacker at the same time when you pick it up. The timing has to be exactly right for this, so it might take a few tries. You can do this multiples times so all players can have the Hacker at the same time as well. Say if you got 3 players, two people pick it up at the same time and both will get it. One of the two people that have it then puts it down and it'll respawn in the lab. And you just do the same thing again with the two players that don't have it, and all 3 will have it. I saw your thread and thanks for the shoutout! The Hacker thread you made was fantastic, so I thought it definately deserved a direct link on here. I love the sense of community on here! :D

You might of got confused when I was explaining it. Here's an example. Say you kill all the zombies on Round 5, go to the lab and pick up the Hacker. When that round ends you will not get the bonus. You will also not get the bonus at the end of Round 6 as Round 6 counts as your full round of holding the Hacker. But when Round 7 is done (or you teleport to Area 51 during Round 7), you will get the starting bonus of 500 points. It then increases each round until maxing at a 2500 point bonus (or 5000 points total per round if you're going to Area 51 each round.) I could see how you might count that as 3 rounds, if you're counting Round 5 or 6. Hope that clears things up :)

Top way has the MP40, bottom has the AK. You win either way. I usually just open whatever door we're getting overrun at or whatever one is closest to me.

You may want to note that these are the radios directly from the Moon level. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but it's not a theory, it's what happened. Just saying .
-
Your answers can be found on the Moon Radios and Audio Reels. Here's a transcript of the radios pertaining to your questions. If you want you can just skip this quote box and I'll sum it up for you. Thanks to Alpha and his Ultimate Media Thread. So basically, Richtofen teleported to Moon on accident the first time. After he discoverd the pyramid there, Group 935 started building a base around it to study it (They got there via the teleporter.) It mentions there is a crowd in a few of the radios at Griffin Station, which you can hear on the radios, so there was a big crew there for certain. It also mentions how they were experimenting with the pyramid, and at one point filling the viles, so they were killing zombies at one point as well. It even says they buried the dead ones outside. This most likely explains where all the zombies came from. If you read the whole thing through, you'll also read about how Sam got trapped in the pyramid. She may be a possible reason all Hell broke loose on Moon, as Maxis told her to "KILL THEM ALL!"

As long as you don't drop the Hacker, and go to Area 51 every round, it stays at a combined 5000 points a Round. That's 100k if you hold it for 20 rounds. Personally, I rarely ever put it down, only for the Easter Egg steps if I have to. More importantly, the Hacker literally pays for itself when hacking Max Ammos in the high rounds, as you make 5000 just for holding onto the thing. Not to mention, it's an excellent way to make points quick in the early rounds.

And that's one thing I do find a little bit odd about it. It's just kind of a weird coincedence that two of the glitches are of the astro zombie doing a moonwalk and another dance. And there is a specific way to make him get stuck in that crazy dance, so I lean towards glitch on that as well.
-
HalfSwiss, this is actually quite a cool idea. Treyarch should have redesigned the area that holds the Pyramid and used this as 'No Man's Land'. Fighting and endless tide of undead zombies outside of the Pyramid structure while floating around in zero g would have been epic!! XD Haha that sounds sweet. But then there would just be some thread about how we couldn't play a full Moon level knowing us.

I've thrown a QED at him and it's caused him to do the moonwalk. I'm on the fence whether it's glitch or not. One of the QEDs capabilities is to imitate a Gersch Device, is that what the QED did? Or did it explode and then he did it? It really depends on what the QED did. Either way, this just seems too inconsistent of an event to consider it to be something that's suppose to happen.Just my opinion.

Carrying the Hacker has many benefits as you all might know, however most people are unaware of just how beneficial the Hacker truly can be (Particularly to your points.) Of course you can get a 1000 points hacking excavators, and you can get 100 points for hacking a window, but the Hacker Bonus is worth a much more significant amount of points. The following chart shows the Hacker Bonus recieved, depending on how many rounds you've been holding the Hacker: 1 round: 500 points 2 rounds: 1000 points 3 rounds: 1500 points 4 rounds: 2000 points 5 or more rounds: 2500 points Some players are aware of this bonus, however most people are unaware you can get TWO of these bonuses per round. One for completing the round and starting a new one, and another one for teleporting to Area 51 with the Hacker. Every time you travel there, you will get the bonus. Now add these bonuses together (by leaving a crawler and going to Area 51 each round), and you will be making a significant amount of points per round. 1 round: 1000 points 2 rounds: 2000 points 3 rounds: 3000 points 4 rounds: 4000 points 5 or more rounds: 5000 points Things to note about the Hacker Bonus * To recieve the Hacker Bonus, you must carry the Hacker device for one whole round before you get your first bonus points in the next round. * You cannot put the Hacker down at ANY time, or your cumlative Hacker Bonus will return to to 0, and you must carry the Hacker for another whole round before starting back at the 500 point mark. * Multiple Hackers will sometimes net multiple players getting the bonus. * Here's a link to FU453's "Hacker: All Known Effects" thread if you need it. viewtopic.php?f=72&t=16354

The second part of this. I wouldn't throw out the idea that Area 51 could still be the location of a future zombie map. I could see them adding in Area 51 in Moon just to suffice the fans through Black Ops, but save the Area 51 map in it's entirety for the next Treyarch CoD.

 It's always hilarious when you're playing with a random, and he's all amazed that you bought the Bowie with the gravity on.

I feel for ya! This glitch has happened to me repeatedly when playing Moon. It's a somewhat common glitch that comes on pretty randomly. Nothing in paticular seems to cause it. I've had the glitch happen on Round 40 after doing the Easter Egg, but I've also had this happen on Round 9 on a Solo game. Multiple hackers does not cause it either. It's very hard to tell if the saw blade glitched out as it turns invisible after it bugs out, so it's pretty easy to get downed by this glitch. I now play every game with the expectation that those excavators will screw up. You hack the excavator to stop it, it says you did it and gives you a 1000 points, and then it crashes in anyways. This is an extremely frustrating glitch, especially if it breaches the Biodome when that's where you run circles. I don't know how Treyarch could screw up that badly to leave such an awful bug in the system.
-
No one else seems to do this, but I like to use Flopper to kill him. On Solo it only takes 2-3 flops on Round 20 to kill him. If you want to kill him at the end of a round, it's a great way to save ammo and kill him quickly.
-
It's one of the better ones, but not the best. I think more than anything it's got alot of sentimental value to it. I remember coming home from the game store and popping Black Ops in, and going straight to Kino. It felt so good to play something fresh. It's a great map though. Good size, not overcomplicated, easy PaP access, lots of good camping spots with your friends by traps, really keeps the action going.

1) No, you do not lose your perks if he grabs you, you just get teleported. 2) No, it can't be done on split screen. You must play online to complete the Big Bang EE.

Congrats on the 1 Million views on Youtube Carbon! That's pretty impressive stuff! 8-)

Yup, this is definately smart thinking, and usually what I do when playing with a team. It's easy if you have Ray Guns and the Wave Gun, but if you don't it can get complicated to fill the 4 viles. The DMs just make it much much easier. It's also most likely the reason filling the first vile (step 4) and pressing the switch (step 5) are two seperate steps. So you can save the DMs specifically for that step.

Hope that helps guys! Awesome job finding that Edjookayted! Where did you find that post? I had no idea ARs actually had an advantage with George. Who woulda thought, the Famas is actually useful for something in zombies.

Der Riese Missing Zombie? how did we miss him?
Shooter replied to fraztheman's topic in Classic Maps
That's the problem with the classic maps, the sound is kcuf'd up and you can never quite tell which direction they're coming from and how far away they are. This was never a problem on the W@W versions so I dunno why the Black Ops versions are like it... That problem is VERY evident on NDU. I had the same problem, last zombie glitched out and wouldn't come to any of the windows. It was pretty much impossible to tell where he was coming from because it sounded like he was coming from everywhere. It was just too hard to pinpoint. He ended up showing after about 5 mins, but it was a very frustrating 5 mins of searching. -
Zap Gun/Wave Gun - Best Wonder Weapon Ever?
Shooter replied to Superhands's topic in General Zombies Discussion
VR11 - Insta-kill gun for Co Op. I thought it was a pretty effective weapon if you knew how to use it with a teammate IMO. All the rest I totally agree on though. Yeah I don't think many people do 40+ on COTD co-op without using the VR-11. I completely disagree about the Thundergun being useless on high rounds though, it's the only gun that kills on Kino & Ascension at rounds 50+, not to mention it takes out a whole spawn of 24 zombies not even upgraded and is just as effective against the monkeys on round 100+ as it was on round -10. Whoa, didnt read that post carefully. The Thundergun is DEFINATELY useful in the high rounds. In fact it's just about the only useful gun in the 40+ rounds on Ascension beside point-making weapons like the MP5.
