I think the problem with talking about DOA is people just compare it to regular zombies. It's not meant to be regular zombies, and if you try to compare it to that then of course DOA won't seem as good. DOA is an awesome fun little game. And despite what some people say, it's challenging, requires strategy, and can be a blast with 3 buddies. I know I've read RZA's DOA survival guide, and there's ALOT more to DOA than meets the eye. Plus who doesn't like the nostalgic feel of the old point and shoot arcade games?

Until I have further video evidence, the Leaderboards will NOT be changed. And that's all there is to it. Superhands, I'm sorry I can't add you to the list yet. Until you can get me some sort of more valid prood other than an edited photo it will remain As-is. Don't take it personal or anything, I'm not saying you didnt do it or its not possible(i know it is), I just gotta have stronger evidence. Hope you understand. Please no more discussion on this. You can PM me if you'd like to discuss this more, but please try to keep this thread clean Would anyone else like to submit their scores? I'll be makimg another update in a day or two.

So I Think There Is A DEFINATE Easter Egg On Kino
Shooter replied to TheBrockstah's topic in Kino Der Toten
Keep in mind some of those quotes from CJ's video may have been from an earlier version of Kino where there was a Wunderwaffe and an Easter Egg. They ultimately decided to not include those things, but the audio files still exist. Im guessing cause they had to wait for BO, they wanted to add a new wonder weapon, the Thundergun. I remember when CJ uploaded the Call of the Dead quotes, there were quotes about some turret. And quotes in a robotic voice that said the names of wonder weapons (wonder weapon machine maybe?). But none of that stuff ever saw the final version. I gotta say though, it's a bit weird they have an easter egg on Der Riese, none on Kino or Five, and then pick them back up in Ascension. -
Leaderboard updated. Feel free to submit your scores. [brains] will be rewarded for pics as much as possible.
-
If you could try to find that pic that would be great. Not saying I don't believe you cause I do, it'd just be good to have proof of that to put below the leaderboard.

I am in the process of updating the board guys. Sorry for the delay. We just lost another tech at our shop awhile back so I've been working crazy overtime. We just hired a new guy yesterday though so I should be getting my normal hours back soon. EDIT: Added you guys to the leaderboard. Keep the submissions coming, I'll try to update as often as possible.

It's most likely just a glitch in the system, but it's definately interesting. I can't imagine why neither (a) the zombies don't get sucked into it and ( It didn't count as out of bounds and Sam just laughs and takes it away. I would think one of those two scenarios would happen, but instead the Gersch just sits there open. Pretty strange. If only there was some way to dive through it. Hahaha just imagine where THAT gersch would teleport you

Welcome! BTW totally sweet user pic! That's the creepy lady from 'Thirteen Ghost' right? That is an awesome movie that most people seemed to overlook. Now I'm getting the urge to watch it again...

+1 [brains] I totally forgot about the wire/pipe. That's most likely what you were missing. I think it can be found in one of the levels of the lab?
-
Well it appears you did all stepscorrectly up to that point. I will note though, when I got to that step I had a little trouble putting the rod and stone into place when I did it as well. I ended up walking away and coming back and it worked fine, but the first few times I tried it it wouldn't take it.

I'm pretty sure No Man's Land rankings only counts for your initial visit at NML before going to the Moon. Returning there after the initial visit won't change the rankings on the NML leaderboard. You basically gotta run circles and make 5000 points, upgrade to Mustang and Sally's, and get as many kills as possible before you run out of ammo. Although one thing that confuses me though. The guy right under me on the rankings has like 2 less kills than me, but it said he made it to round 8? Everyone else (myself included) all have Round 1. So that's kinda confusing to me. :? Edit: BTW Congrats on the kid! And I know how you feel on the rankings thing. Glitchers pretty much made the Leaderboards useless  .

I think his wording was kinda weird on it. Let me try to clear it up. You start with your 3 initial perks, which you will never lose. But when you go on a killstreak, each killstreak will earn you another perk, on top of your initial 3 perks. So you get 2 kills in a row, you get an additional perk of your choice(making 4 total perks). You get 4 kills in a row, you get another additional perk of your choice(5 total). I'm not quite sure how many you can actually choose, but I remember them saying in the preview that you can have all the perks at once if you get a high enough killstreak. Of course once you die, you go back to your 3 original perks, and must start the process over again. They said that this is essentially for the One Man Army type of player. No air support, no tactical support, just one unstoppable badass. Remember this is only if you decide to choose the Specialist Package type of killstreaks.

Awesome job taking the initiative on this Alpha! I was worried this whole group request thread was going cold. I know someone actually recently posted a thread asking how to sign up for the groups. I'll be sure to point them here in the future as well. Just wanted to say nice work, good to see you're now an Admin! It means only good things for CoDz.

In Moon, you can use the Hacking Device to hack any power-up, and change it to a max ammo (Max Ammos change to Fire Sale). So whenever you see ANY power up drop from a zombie, you just throw all your Gerschs, hack the power up into a Max Ammo, and repeat. Make sense?
-
I usually just run circles in the Biodome, and keep the excavator from busting in if I can. If I'm doing that then I'll definately always have the Hacker. Simply for the fact I can hack power ups for max ammo. A well timed Gersch throw and power up hack could pretty much ensure you'll never have any ammo problems.
-
Hahaaha, that had me cracking up! The QED can definately come back to bite you in the ass. But then you throw it and it gives you a free Ray Gun or free Mule Kick, and it's a great piece of equipment! "Life is like a QED, you never know what you're gonna get."
-
He just racks up some points at Area 51, gets juggernog, and teleports, and just shows us like his early strategy. Then he's just running in the BioDome with the PaP WaveGun. It's actually kind of easy, except 70 must be a B!tch on your ammo lol. If he's keeping the Biodome from being excavated, he could just hack power ups when needed for the max ammo. Especially if he has Gerschs in his arsenal. Although I don't think zombies drop power ups if you kill them with the Wave Gun (just like the Thundergun), so I can see some problems with that strategy.
-
I do the same. Get the Gerschs, and you're set to never really run out of ammo. The many upon many of times I've also hacked the powerups, I'm yet to set a perk bottle appear. I think that was all heresay.

Call of Duty is changing... But is it in a good way?
Shooter replied to KrazyCookies's topic in Modern Warfare 3
Pointstreak rewards for those of us that actually PLAY the objective....Hell to the yes! -
Awesome stuff strange! A very well thought-out, well compiled thread. You should've signed up here a LONG time ago! Here's some [brains] for the hard work. Keep it coming!

It was part of the Call of the Dead Easter Egg (the one where you play as the movie stars, and help the original crew out of the room they're stuck in for the Easter Egg). Part of that egg requires you to find the golden rod for Richtofen and give it to him through a slot by the room they're trapped in. If you play Call of the Dead and do the Easter Egg, you can see for yourself. Or try checking Youtube for Call of the Dead Easter Egg so you can see how Richtofen acquired this item. It's all a part of the multi level Easter Egg. CotD you get the golden rod (vril generator), Shangri La you acquire the Focusing Stone, and Moon you use both those items to complete the huge easter egg. Hope this helps! Any more questions about it just ask. We've got a crapload of knowledgeable members around here that would be more than happy to help you out!

Doing this achievement has been a pain in the ass for me. Twice I've played on Solo, and went 26 rounds without the Biodome being excavated (28 rounds the second time). It would literally just go back and forth between tunnel 6 and tunnel 11. I'd hack those first two, but the excavator would just never go for the Biodome. At Round 30 I just turned off my Xbox cause I was sick of waiting. So I feel your pain.

Same glitched happened on Ascension with the Gerschs and a backwards walking zombies. Stupid bug in the system. But I mean think about it. We're on the moon. He is a moon man. He's just doing the Moonwalk!
-
Dude, that's awesome! 3 Hackers at one time! Here's some more brains for ya for that cool find. Oh Treyarch, will you ever build a zombie map with absolutely no game glitches? Wait, on second thought...
-
Works much better now! The loading times do seem a little bit faster, but the best thing is I rarely get connection problems now, if any at all. This is a HUGE improvement from the old server. Awesome decision Carbon!
