Welcome Flatty! It's great to have another zombie fanatic here on the forums. Gotta appreciate the passion you have for Zombies! Looks like you got infected pretty quick haha it tends to do that, doesn't it? Enjoy your time around the forum, and thanks for taking the time to make an intro! I'll be sure to keep my eye out for your name. If you have any questions on the storyline, feel free to PM. I also have a link in my signature that links to the full storyline thread if you're interested in reading more about it. Cya around Flatty. BTW, don't mend the rift and help that rat, Richtofen. You'll regret it. Maxis: Samantha's GRANDFATHER?
Shooter replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Lol, and I think we all know Treyarch purposely put the Youtube window up right over the last two digits on the other window. JZ and the guys know us TOO well. -
Honestly, it's hard to say what the future of Zombies is at this point. Either it will grow, thrive, and become bigger and better than before. Or it will continue as is and be phased out over time for something new. I think it all depends on how successful Activision and Treyarch view Zombies at the end of BO2, as well their capabilities with the next gen systems. Of course us Zombies fanatics will be begging for it to grow, but the questions is are they still bringing in new fans to the Zombies side of things? While the Zombies feature in the Black Ops series is popular, it fails in comparison to the popularity of the Multiplayer feature. Activision execs are going to ask themselves "Is Zombies still profitable in this series? Or is there something new that will satisfy our customers and potentially bring in more profit?" If they do continue do grow Zombies as they move to the next gen platforms, I can see it as a total possibility that a separate zombies disk would be available over time. But if they do bring zombies to the next gen platforms without upgrading it all around, I fear it may be the last game we see with the Zombies feature. The future is black, that's for sure. What they need to do is make an optional zombies disk that you can buy separately with the next Black Ops release. But this, like you stated, would require a lot more manpower. Which brings us right back to "Does Activision see it as profitable?"

Maxis: Samantha's GRANDFATHER?
Shooter replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Agreed, it's too difficult to make out those last two digits. To me it looks like the first number is the edges of the number 3. But again, it's too hard to make out the numbers to say for sure. You may want to hold onto this theory until we can get a better look at those blueprints. :) -
[POLL] Favourite Playable Zombie Character?

Ah, you must be talking about the Charlie Intel intel? I just take everything I hear from anyone but Activision and Treyarch with a grain of salt nowadays. Charlie Intel is great, but they do work off rumors and speculation to an extent. You make a great point though, the DLC2 date from them was dead on. It was actually pretty easy to pinpoint a date when all the map packs would come out after DLC1 released, given the pattern they've followed for the last couple years. That's why it's bound to fall on August 27th or September 3rd, that's for sure. The only reason I considered the 27th early was because PS3 usually has the most recent DLC for a month before Xbox gets the new one. Given PS3 gets Vengeance on August 1, the 27th seemed kinda early as it's never been less than a month. But there's really not that big of a difference between 27 days and 31 days now that I think about it lol. August 27th or September 3rd seems like a definitive date for DLC4. Anything later than that would push DLC4's release date on PS3 too close to the release of Call of Duty Ghost. It better be the 27th
-
+100 Finally, someone else taking the logical approach to these things. People get bent outta shape entirely too easy over this stuff.
-
Oh good! 30 days away! And only 16 more until the info! What joy! Well I wouldn't ge your hopes up for an exact date of anything, as none of us actually know for sure. I doubt these exact dates are right. All you can count on for sure is that DLC4 will be dropping around the start of September. All previous DLC have followed this pattern: DLC1 release for XBOX, 1 month wait, DLC1 release for PS3, month wait, DLC2 release XBOX, and so on. It's a rough estimation, sometimes it's two months, sometimes it's two and half months. But they've always followed this pattern for DLC. The only reason we might see DLC4 early is to avoid taking the spotlight from Ghosts. I really hope we see it released early, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up for it.

What is the WORST possible thing you can imagine?
Shooter replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in Research & Development
Call me crazy, but that sounds entertaining. :) -
Both Buried and Mob of the Dead were phenominal maps in their own ways. The features, the Easter Eggs, the replay value. Both maps excel in these aspects. There's some things I don't like about Mob of the Dead, and there's some thing's I don't like about Buried. They both have their pros and cons. Mob of the Dead and Buried are by far the best BO2 maps. I'm not gonna waste my time arguing which one was better, they were both awesome in their own way.

What is the WORST possible thing you can imagine?
Shooter replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in Research & Development
Worst possibility for DLC4? A new Dead Ops Arcade map is the only Zombies map included. *FaTaL RaMpAgE comes out from his cave to slap me for saying that* -
They release a new DLC every two months or so, so you can expect to see DLC's 4 release in early September.
-
I think they in part wanted us to question if it was Samantha all grown up, which some people did from what I recall. Plus, she's smokin' hot. And that never hurts.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped caring about the Leaderboards. If its not host migration it's glitchers and hackers topping the lists. It's always some BS one way or another. Sorry to hear that though chocolate. That sucks! :x

DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
Shooter replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Lol, people get so upset over the whole "Fear Russ"/"Fear Teddy" thing, it's hilarious. Do I think the whole anagram thing is silly? Yes, yes I do. I think there's about a 1% chance it will actually spell Teddy. But I'm not gonna get all beat up over the fact that others believe it. No zombie flesh off my back if someone wants to think that way. I'll be honest, I've heard crazier theories before. You can't deny the fact that BO's DLCs spelled out FEAR, and that thus far the last letter of the game modes from BO2 spell out TEDD. That alone shows there's a possibility they're spelling out TEDDY, as lame as that would be How do you know that the FEAR anagram was intentional? I seriously doubt that the FEAR anagram was unintentional. That would be one HELL of a giant coincidence. -
Pfft, typical Misty chatting it up while Marlton does all the work. "Six time knife-fighting champ" my ass. Lol, welcome to CoDz. Now go kill some zombies, it looks like Stupid-ger is down again.

DLC 4 "mode" called Gateway? (FEAR TEDDY)
Shooter replied to Electric Jesus's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I see what you're saying EJ. Thus far the last letter in each name of the storyline game mode spells out the word TEDD. He's not referring to Green Run, Great Leap Forward, Alcatraz Prison, and Resolution 1295, which are the map names. Technically, Agartha could still be the map name and still fit the "Fear Teddy" anagram, so long as the name of the storyline game mode ends with a Y (like Gateway as EJ suggested). I'm not sold on the whole "Fear Teddy" thing, but considering they spelled out FEAR with Black Op's DLCs, I wouldn't count it out as possibility. It'd be pretty lame if they did it, but it could happen. -
Correct. The zombie outbreak was caused by 115 radiation in the air before (or after) the missiles hit, which reanimated the dead cells in the people killed in the blast. 115 radiation also has an effect on the survivors of the blast, from memory loss to paranoia. And I'm with MMX, it seems like they are just there to show that the crew have been through numerous injuries during their journey.

Has everyone forgotten about the old gamemodes?
Shooter replied to Chacer123's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's not uncommon for Treyarch to scratch an idea right before release. It's the same reason why some quotes (turret on CotD for example) are never heard in game. Sometimes they create the coding for something, and just decide not to implement them. And I agree, I would love to see these game types come to life. -
CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!
Shooter replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
+1. It's not an auto aim for headshots feature, but more of a damage multiplier. If it was aim assist, I would hate that upgrade lol. Does anyone know if there are multiple tiers to the upgrades? The Headshot upgrade in particular. Diring the last few solo games on Buried, I've noticed the green flash from headshots going off 4 or 5 times during the game. I literally go only for headshots after round 5 (usually end up with around 80-90% at the end of the game), so I don't think it was just me losing and acquiring over and over again. Also, it seemed like after the flash went off, the damage multiplier from headshots would increase each time. Does anyone know if there are multiple tiers for the Headshot persistant upgrade? -
Yeah, I'll have the Maxis ending with a side of fries please. I really like all three of these endings, particularly the last two. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Maxis ending play out like you mentioned, with a huge plot twist in typical Treyarch fashion. I like when your mind rambles Matuzz, you come up with some great stuff.
-
I swear I learn something new every day about Persistant Perks or Buried from you guys. There's just SO many different little features they've added. As far as it being a glitch, it's not that big of a deal in my opinion. Yeah, it's a bug. And yes, Treyarch should fix it. But it's not as bad as most glitches, like a barrier glitch or something that's blatantly cheating. Honestly, it seems like more work than it's worth to perform this trick properly anyway, but hey that's just me.

What is considered "High Rounds" on this forum?

50 Co Op / 100 Solo -
Everyone said it, but the Peacekeeper would be a great addition to the mix. Pack a Punched into the Instigator or Agitator anyone? ;)

Thanks for composing this AlphaOmega! It's a great resource, especially for people like me that don't know what the hell all the green flashes are going off during my game lol. Thanks again for posting this.
