 Oh PINNAZ... Great minds truly do think alike.

You only need to complete the Call of the Dead and Shangri La easter eggs to complete the Moon easter egg. In CotD, you must give the Golden Rod to Richtofen inside the closet, and in Shangri La you must acquire the Focusing Stone. Call of the Dead guide: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... hp?t=11190 Shangri La guide: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... hp?t=13269 Moon guide: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... hp?t=17170 You must complete them in that order. Hope that helps! ;)

MotD Date Found - 2/26/1932 UPDATED w/ Confusion
Shooter replied to bagel_'s topic in Mob of the Dead
I totally feel where you're coming from. Dealing with the story for the last two years, I've had my ups and downs with it. The frustration with it always comes from the fact some things simply do not add up. They just don't. There will always be parts of this story that we will never understand. The reason for this, like you stated, is because Treyarch was making things up as they go along in the beginning. The community has basically built the story for the first couple years. Treyarch has never had a planned storyline up until the Black Ops DLC maps, so any maps before that will always result in unanswered questions. Black Ops 2, however, might be a different story. From my experience, it seems Treyarch does have somewhat of a planned storyline. We've seen them fill in the gaps from radios on CotD and Moon. I've got high hopes that we will have somewhat of an established story at the end of all this. Unfortunately, there will always be incongruencies in zombies, we've just gotta use common sense and a little bit of creativity to explain them. -
MotD Date Found - 2/26/1932 UPDATED w/ Confusion
Shooter replied to bagel_'s topic in Mob of the Dead
Ill just copy and paste what I wrote about this date from a different thread. Just my opinion, but the date on the note doesn't make any sense. See Point #2 below: -
That's very interesting! Brutus is definitely a unique name. My first thought was that big shrek looking thing that looks like the new boss. He seems like he'd be a Brutus.

Do you really think we will be able to escape the map?
Shooter replied to TheBSZombie's topic in Mob of the Dead
I could see that. Do the easter egg for hours on end to get these guys out of prison and actually beat a zombie map, and they crash the plane in the cutscene after you complete it. -
Here's a little taste of Judith de los Santos. I imagine the song will be a little more upbeat, but her voice is amazing. re32xnyYP3A

Just a small note, but Alcatraz is only a mile and a half offshore. It's actually possible to swim back to land. If these mobsters were smart, they would've built a boat.

"Right of Discovery" - Occupation of Alcatraz, Medicine Man
Shooter replied to PINNAZ's topic in Mob of the Dead
Quite frankly, I don't know why PINNAZ didn't get it sooner. Well done as always man. It's going to be interesting to see how much of a role the whole Native American aspect will actually have on MotD. I'm praying that the first time I fire up MotD, the loading screen reads "Right of Discovery" Identifying the Medicine Man symbol...brilliant. Great job as always PINNAZ! -
That mean's nothing. Treyarch are well known for not doing their homework properly in games. Anyway, it is all but confirmed it IS in the 30's, as they have made an escape plan up, and it is dated, as seen in the top right hand corner of the left page, here... http://gyazo.com/8970eb2314ff5187df7e46a1e61b3200 Firstly, please read the previous comments before making a post on something that's already been said. You literally just repeated what the guy above you wrote. A historical landmark means nothing? Where have you been the last 2 years. Geographical landmarks ae one of the best ways in determining the date and location of a specific map. While I might be inclined to agree some geographical stuff has been off in the past, I'd like to know what you're referring. You seem like you have experience with this as you said Treyarch messes these things up. So please enlightenment on what you're referring to. Onto this date on the note: In the last day, this new date has been brought to light. February 26, 1932. A few things to keep in mind with this date: 1. This does not give us a date of the map, but merely the date when the plans were made. It's impossible to tell when the date was written on this piece of paper, or how old the plans themselves are. I don't know about you, but I imagine making up such detailed plans to escape a prison takes lots of time, maybe even years. Those doesn't make up for the 1941 date that correlates with the Water Tower, but still. My point is the date on the piece of paper is subjective. But most importantly... 2. Alcatraz was NOT a federal penitentiary in 1932. it wasn't until 1934 that it was opened as a penitentary. So how could an inmate make these blueprints in 1932 if the prison wasn't even opened until 1934. Before 34, it was a military prison, but we know these mobsters we play as wouldn't be in there for military crimes. The dates don't add up. Either Treyarch royally screwed up these dates, or there's something yet to be found that will make things make sense.

Did Sam Controll the Zombies before Shi No Numa?
Shooter replied to Mattzs's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Let me lend my opinion if I may on the matter. Firstly, the first map we play is Verruckt, though the story traces back much further than the Verruckt events. I will say right now that Samantha was NOT in control during the events of Verruckt, and we know this is a fact based on the last two radios from CotD: Treyarch was nice enough to give us a date for Verruckt: September 10, 1945. The first radio from CotD describes Richtofen discussing the events of Verruckt, as he continues his research on Tak, Tank, and Dempsey. The second radio I listed above, is dated roughly 20 days after the events of Verruckt. In this radio, Richtofen describes how he still needs to enact his plan on Maxis and Samantha. The Verruckt events have happened, and Samantha was not yet in the MPD. So that settles that, Samantha was NOT in charge during Verruckt. To try and refute that goes directly against the game's radio (which is one of the best sources for building the story) and Richtofen's personal diary. Moving on... NDU has never been given a date or location. Treyarch simply never planned for it. However, for those of you that recall intel from W@W, one such intel did provide a clue on what order the map occured in: "ever since the second outbreak at Nacht der Untoten, troops have been noticing strange radio transmissions..." From this, we can logically place NDU as the second map, following Verruckt. Honestly though, NDU doesn't really matter that much. It has practically no relevance to the story one bit. Anywho, moving on. At this point, Richtofen betrays Maxis and Sam, ultimately putting Sam in control in Aether. Up until this point, the only maps to have occured (while Sam was not in control) are Verruckt, and possibly NDU. That's it. After this point, Samantha is now in control of the zombies. After Richtofen discovers that Sam is in the pyramid, he begins his journey with his unconventional allies, the original gang. SNN, Der Riese, Kino, etc all occur after Samantha is in charge, but not Verruckt (and possibly NDU). So basically what we have is: 1. Verruckt 2. NDU (not confirmed) 3. Richtofen betrays Maxis and Sam 4. Sam enters pyramid, controls Zombies 5. Richtofen gathers gang to begin grand scheme of getting Sam out 6. SNN 7. Der Riese (SNN and Der Riese may be switched, still not confirmed) 8. Kino 9. Ascension and so on.... If we are trying to determine the events of the story from W@W, we should be using the radios as evidence of what occured then, as opposed to basing our theory on gameplay elements as visual effects like the colors of the zombies eyes. You can find a MUCH detailed timeline of events here: viewtopic.php?f=100&t=28818&p=277870#p277870 -

Yeah, 'cuz Syndicate can predict the future. I do like this idea though of these things being secondary equipment. It explain why the thing stays stationary, and eats zombies. I think you might be onto something here CptArel.

I'm not surprised. Treyarch listens to it's fans.

 New perk. New guns. New wonder weapon, new boss, purgatory mode. Traps are back. And it almost sounds like we can actually beat this mode. I'm beyond excited now. Honestly, I'm kind of speechless at what I just saw. -
Thank you for pointing that out. Inmate numbers for prisoners at Alcatraz prison did not include letters, further supporting this might be a movie being produced and not actual prisoners. Still, I ain't saying either way :ugeek: You're very welcome! And yeah the letter was off putting to me when I was doing research. I'm also really hoping that this isn't a movie being filmed. (It's not) Honestly, I'm hoping the same. We really need to fill the gap of what happened in the 60's. If these are prisoners at Alcatraz, it'll put us at 1941-1963, putting us in the prime time period of the storyline. I just don't like to assume anything.

It's been confirmed that Mob of the Dead is a new Zombies mode, much like TranZit was, as stated on the Call of the Duty Facebook page: "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Uprising drops on April 16 for Xbox LIVE. Wreak havoc on 4 new maps and the new Zombies mode, Mob of the Dead! Watch the making of Uprising here: http://bit.ly/ZdE2N9"

Agreed. I would say this is the tower we power, but the switch on it and the writing makes me think not. There also is a four legged water tower in the map too. One of these two must be the spire, but my money's on the water tower. You'd win that bet. The Water Tower is the highest point on Alcatraz Island. The symbols are interesting. What they represent I have not a clue. Quite frankly, I'm damn impressed you caught them in the video. Well done. And it's definitely some kind of guard tower.

Looks dark. I don't know what else to say.

Ok, let's try to clear things up here. Treyarch has chosen to do another celebrity based map. The only other time they have done this, was Call of the Dead. The new game mode, titled Mob of the Dead, bears a similar title to the map. Now this doesn't exactly mean these actors will play themselves on the map, but let's think about this. Big thanks to PINNAZ for the pics: As you can see, Treyarch has chosen to not only use these celebrities to voice the characters, but they've also used the actors to base the looks of characters, creating replicas of the actors themselves. In the comparisons, they do seem a bit younger, but it's hard to tell, but that's not important. What's important is that Treyarch has taken the time to recreate these actors entirely. Now the question. Would Treyarch really go through all the trouble of duplicating these actors head to toe, if we're not going to be playing as themselves in the map. Logically, it seem like we will play as the actors themselves, much like we did in Call of the Dead. It's still possible that Treyarch just decided to use these actors to model the players because they represent iconic faces in mobster pop culture. Seems unlikely to me, but possible. If these are indeed not actors making a movie gone a stray, and the characters are actually prisoners from Alcatraz and not actors, then yes you're correct. EDIT: One more interesting thing to note, is that Michael Madsen's character has an inmate jumpsuit on, with a prisoner number of 4818. Alcatraz never had more than 1600 prisoners in it during it's run as a federal penitentiary. Might suggest they were indeed shooting a movie. http://www.scrappygraphics.com/alcatraz ... list8.html

You never fail to impress me PINNAZ. I've gotta admit, at times I'm a bit green with envy

Thank you for researching and posting this Nai! That picture of the original guard's badge at Alcatraz is a great find! Looks like a perfect match to me. This helps settle the whole "warden" thing for people. Thanks again for posting this! Keep it coming! :)
