Just a few notes: [*:dc8s412g]Triangles have both interior angles and exterior angles. [*:dc8s412g]Tertiary is another word for 3rd in order. Complete the Tertiary node = 3rd point in the triangle [*:dc8s412g]James C Burns had no idea what he was talking about with those Zombies analysis.

Good catch! Some of the locations mentioned are very interesting. PINNAZ knocked it out the ballpark with his thread a couple weeks ago detailing all the locations and their significance. Loads of details in there if you wanna check it out. http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/ ... 77#p243689

If it's a gameplay related theory you'll be fine posting here: viewforum.php?f=84. But if it's storyline related, then unfortunately there are current issues with the Research Facility and Asylum, which would be the general forums to post BO1 theories related to the story. For now, I'd probably reccommend one of the two forums depending on whether it's gameplay or story related: Gameplay: viewforum.php?f=84 Storyline: viewforum.php?f=74 That'd be my best guess. Really it all depends on what your thread pertains to. Hope this helps.

Holy crap, I never noticed that. I'm definitely gonna keep this in mind for future games. Great find. And thanks for posting this info!

+1 People must learn to not be so gullible, especially on the Internet. We all need to move pass this and forget about it all. We really shouldn't create threads or discuss the matter anymore. If you do want to hear what the guy has to say (wouldn't if I were you but hey), then send him a PM in private to continue the discussion. As far as this subject being on CoDz, it should be a dead topic. Let's all move on. Remember, here at CoDz we don't feed the Zombies trolls, we just let them die of starvation! (with a Ray Gun on standby in case those undead freakbags come back for more).

BirdDog Dan Tranzit EE next step train station |Update|
Shooter replied to blackfire561's topic in TranZit
 I can't facepalm this nonsense, so I guess rolling my eyes will have to do. Video evidence or bust. Ignore the troll. -
Nuketown Zombies was released to Season Pass holders yesterday. More than likely a reference to that.

+1. Tac's thread is the best source for anyone looking to understand the dates of the maps a bit more. The CotD paradox can be explained quite simply. Following the events of our time travelers, (and not a historical timeline), CotD in 2011 came before the events of Moon and the bombing of Earth in the 1960s. Therefore it wouldn't have been destroyed yet. See what I'm saying? While us theory guys do like to have a historical date tied to each map, it's important we follow the timeline of our time travelers when it comes to sequence of events. Hope that made sense.

No. It means that story-wise, Richtofen chose not to use them in Green Run. HOWEVER, he had the CAPABILITY. And game-mechanic-wise, they have appeared in Shi No Numa, Der Riese, Kino der Toten, Moon, and Green Run. It's probably not best to base anything storywise off of what you can do in custom games. The fact you can turn off "magic items" just confirms that for me. Information taken from custom games is practically irrelevant, but that's just my opinion. I would consider the Hellhounds to not be apart of Green Run as far as the storyline goes.
-
Wrong thread homie lol I've done that before  Agreed, Richtofen is in control of them now like Samantha was in control of them when she was in power. Seeing as how Hellhounds are not in TranZit or Nuketown, I'm sure they weren't too concerned about it storywise.

Official Ranking System Discussion and Theories
Shooter replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thank you for condensing the loads of different threads into one spot way. Seeing 10 different Rank Discussion threads in the active topics was getting old. Thanks. That's all. :) -
has anyone tried doing maxis side of ee in a different order
Shooter replied to carlsmith594's topic in TranZit
Probably because he wants you to create that scalene formation he says. I always thought it happens at the end of the Easter Egg though.. You can create the scalene triangle and get Maxis to say the quotes about it immediately after turning on and off the power and before you even EMP the Avagrado by the tower. It doesn't seem like those quotes are specific to the end of the egg. -
So what it looks like is the beam is triggered by damage being done to the door? Or does it constantly stay on? Has anyone tried bombarding this thing with some more powerful weapons? Perhaps multiple players shoot it simultaneously similar to the end of the Ascension EE? I'm extremely curious to see what's on the other side of that door.

I've gotta say, this loading screen is really getting to me. I've been looking over a few different things lately, and began looking closer into the Project Orion, like Mix and PINNAZ had mentioned above. The project involved using nuclear propulsion to power a spacecraft. The program was cancelled early in it's development, and never reached the testing stage. So after a bit of cross referencing and searching, I came across this: NERVA or Nuclear Engine for Rocket Vehicle Application, was a joint program of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission and NASA managed by the Space Nuclear Propulsion Office (SNPO). The program began in 1952 as scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) began researching nuclear rockets. I'm sure Los Alamos sounds familiar. The Los Alamos National Laboratory was also the central location for the Manhattan Project, the program responsible for the Trinity Test which occured on July 16, 1945. "Project Rover Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory began researching nuclear rockets in 1952, accelerating into Project Rover in 1955 when the deputy director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Herbert York, postulated a way to shrink reactor weights considerably. By 1961, after unexpectedly fast-paced progress on the part of Project Rover, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center began to use nuclear thermal rockets in their mission plans. Marshall planned to use a nuclear-powered rocket from Los Alamos to power a RIFT (Reactor-In-Flight-Test) nuclear stage to be launched as early as 1964, and the need for planning and oversight led to the formation of the Space Nuclear Propulsion Office. SNPO was formed so that the AEC and NASA could work together, and H. B. "Harry" Finger was selected as its first director. Finger made a decision to delay RIFT, and he defined strict objectives for nuclear rocket engines to achieve before RIFT would be allowed." Which leads into the NERVA program. Almost all of the NERVA research, design and fabrication was done at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory in New Mexico. The first NERVA engine was tested at an unclosed location within the NTS. But it was the second NERVA engine developed that caught my attention. NERVA XE The second NERVA engine, the NERVA XE, was designed to come as close as possible to a complete flight system, even to the point of using a flight-design turbopump. Components that would not affect system performance were allowed to be selected from what was available at Jackass Flats, Nevada to save money and time, and a radiation shield was added to protect external components. The engine was reoriented to fire downward into a reduced-pressure compartment to partially simulate firing in a vacuum. The NERVA XE engine test objectives now included: [*:27x8uetg]Demonstrating engine system operational feasibility [*:27x8uetg]Showing that no enabling technology issues remained as a barrier to flight engine development. [*:27x8uetg]Demonstrating completely automatic engine startup. The objectives also included testing the use of the new facility at Jackass Flats for flight engine qualification and acceptance. Total run time was 115 minutes, including 28 starts. NASA and SNPO felt that the test "confirmed that a nuclear rocket engine was suitable for space flight application and was able to operate at a specific impulse twice that of chemical rocket system." The engine was deemed adequate for Mars missions being planned by NASA. The facility was also deemed adequate for flight qualification and acceptance of rocket engines from the two contractors. During the NERVA program, one major accident had occured: The most serious injury during testing was a hydrogen explosion in which two employees sustained foot and ear drum injuries. At one point in 1965 the liquid hydrogen storage at Test Cell #2 during a Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory Test was accidentally allowed to run dry; the core overheated and ejected on to the floor of the Nevada desert. Test Site personnel waited 3 weeks and then walked out and collected the pieces without mishap. The nuclear waste from the damaged core was spread across the desert and was collected by an Army group as a decontamination exercise. If we are under the belief there are two men in one of the comic boxes, this could be a strange connection. I'm not saying any of this means anything, it could just be small coincidences, but it doesn't hurt to throw it out there. I'm just offering this as another possible option, but it's still impossible to identify. What can I say, this is really bugging the hell out of me what that machine is. I found a pretty cool link about Jackass Flats if anyone's interested. http://www.area51tourist.com/2011/a25.php Also, it seems a variety of different tests were conducted at the Jackass Flats site. "In the following decade, it oversaw a series of reactor tests: Kiwi-A, Kiwi-B, Phoebus, Pewee, and the Nuclear Furnace, all conducted by Los Alamos to prove concepts and test advanced ideas. Aerojet and Westinghouse tested their own series: NRX-A2, A3, EST, A5, A6, and XE-Prime (Experimental Engine). All were tested at the Nuclear Rocket Development Station at the AEC's Nevada Test Site in Jackass Flats." I'm not sure if the image we're seeing could be pinpointed to any of these exactly, but again just thought I'd throw it out there. Interesing that both the BREN Tower and the NERVA program were being conducted at Jackass Flats in 1966. One last thing, last night in theater mode my game froze as I was waiting for it to load, and I had a chance to snap a picture of that annoying symbol in the bottom right box. It's horrible quality, but you can see the general shape of it. It almost looks like a cartoon blockhead with a grin on it's face Seriously though, it's pretty hard to tell what it is. Or it's a triangle with a circle on each side of it inside a box lol. I can't seem to identify it, and boy does that erk me.

Awesome find here Cremkie! Thanks for posting your findings man. Well, things just seem to be getting weirder and weirder around Hanford. Cremkie, can you do me a favor and quote my post, and take the bottom line of the text and add it on to the original post. This will add on le of your images to the OP for readers to see.

Wow, thanks for posting this. I never thought about trying that. Should make it much easier on Solo. Thanks for the tip man!

Note: The quotes about the Trichtomous System on Maxis' EE were found in-game by NGT more than two weeks after BO2 was released. This isn't BO, TranZit is much more complex then the "simple" EEs we're used to from the first Black Ops. Hell there are still things we have no idea what they are used for (Navcards, orange orbs everywhere, etc), so to assume it's completed doesn't make sense to me. Honestly, until we get the code that says there's nothing left, we should assume it has not yet been finished. And I take Maxis not saying anything after you complete his EE is a sign that it has not yet been finished or completed correctly. Just a difference of opinion on that though I guess.
-
I'm under the impression that Maxis' side is yet to be completed fully. There are still quite a few Easter Egg quotes from Maxis that are yet to be heard in game. When these quotes were first revealed I thought they were just extra quotes from a cut version of the Maxis EE, but it appears that might not be the case as NGT completed part of the egg with the Trichotomous System. He's even got a quote that seems to indicate the end of his side of the Easter Egg, which is still yet to be heard in-game: "Yes, the spire is online! Now if the other sites can only be likewise and powered, then perhaps there is a chance to complete that which has begun so many years ago. Your help has been invaluable. Farewell." He's got plenty of other unheard quotes as well... viewtopic.php?f=120&t=25334#p244222 http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/view ... 65#p244460

+1 Agreed. It's most likely Gersch that we see in the images. I suppose it could possibly be Yuri too, but it's a lot more likely that it's Gersch we're seeing. Any similarities in body type or clothing is most likely a coincidence.

I'mmmm baccck! Sorry for the late arrival to the party guys. Some of you might know that I play on amateur pool leagues on Monday and Wednesday nights, and we are currently heading into playoffs for a chance at nationals in Las Vegas. Needless to say, billiards has been my life lately. Anywho, I've been following this thread very closely the last day or two, and have reached many of the same conclusions. Firstly though, I gotta say we don't have any clear identifier of what this machine is, so this might be impossible to actually pinpoint. I've gone over a multitude of options of what this could be, most of which was covered by you guys: From Positive Ion Accelerators like the one used in Operation HENRE at the BREN Tower in 1966 at Jackass Flats: To the ORNL Bare Reactor used during Operation BREN years early in 1962 at the Yucca Flats. I've also gone over the possibilities of things previously discussed like Tesla's Death Ray or the Orion project. The tough part about it is the picture is an artist rendering, so any comparison must be taken with a grain of salt. We really need to find some sort of identifier on that thing. Which brings me to my next point. Have any of you been able to figure out the point of the 4th image? It looks like there's a symbol or something, but it's pretty illegible. Mix should probably be able to tell us in his analysis though. This symbol bugs me every time I load the map. There's definitely some sort of symbol there. It's extremely hard to make out, about all I can make out is a square or circle of some sort. I've tried to edit the image to try and identify what it is, but the resolution is terrible. Lol I know that doesn't help, but I have a feeling this symbol could be a big piece of the puzzle. That last box just baffles me completely. Personally, I'm not sure if Nuketown and the BREN Tower are in the same vicinity. Although it would make sense somewhat, it's really hard to say. However, looking into it more, I have found a listing of the specific areas being tested during Operation Latchkey. It appears test were done at a variety of sites from all parts of NTS. interstingly enough, some do occur in Area 10, the same location of the Sedan Crater and the BREN Tower's first location (with the ORNL Bare Reactor). Here is a link to an article for you guys that provides a detailed list of all 928 tests performed at the Nevada Test Site. It includes all dates, locations (coordinates and test area), yields, and any complications during the test. The file is quite extensive, but it's got everything you'd need if you're interested. http://www.nv.doe.gov/library/publicati ... _REV15.pdf I've yet to indentify the symbol. The third(center) symbol appears to be the logo for the AEC (Atomic Energy Commision), making me believe this symbol could be possibly be a real life logo for a specific group. It could also just be a image with no relevance created by Treyarch. The Mass-energy equivalence is a concept often utilized and seen in nuclear fission (nuclear weapons, nuclear power), among other things. The "past and present come together" could be a reference to tying the past (Black Ops) to the present (Black Ops 2). Nuketown has extreme significance in the transition between the events of Moon, and the story of TranZit. Just what exactly happened is still yet to be determined. I take it no one has been able to get outside of Nuketown Zombies to no-clip? I'm not sure if there would be any major differences, but I'd love to have a definite answer. I feel as if there's something we've missed that will tie this all together .

Good god, that's creepy. I had no idea that little freak was watching me. Thanks for posting this!

I'd just like to take a moment and point out that my theory of Maxis' egg having more to it based on the quotes and resulting reasearch was dead on. Looks like NGT just made the discovery thanks to a "lead" from a member at callofduty.com forum from a post dated December 1st. Fortunately my post dates back to Nov 21 when the quotes were first released. It's almost a gaurantee the member of that site visited our site for info, as it's a common occurence, and NGT just saw the more recent post on the other site. Seems credit is rarely ever given where it truly should be, but that's life. d41pMvti8Qg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d41pMvti ... ature=plcp It truly is amazing what theorizing can lead to. My presumption that the streetlights were used to make a scalene triangle. I mean cmon I hardly like to brag and usually restrain myself from doing so, but this one just makes me smile. Solving parts of the EE by reviewing the quotes before it's even found in-game. If only NGT knew where that information was truly coming from. Oh well. CoDz strikes again! Edit: This thread is being reworked. More to come.

To understand the reason why the lightning is occuring so frequently, we must first examine how lightning is formed. While it still remains somewhat a mystery as to the specifics, the common believe is that lightning is formed because there are a difference of electrical charges in the clouds. Clouds can produce positive and negative charges, as well as Earth's surface, which produces a positive charge. When a difference of charges is met and the air resistance is overcome, a circuit is completed, and lightning is the result. There are two common types of lighning: cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud. Cloud-to-ground is the type we see that strikes the ground and is the rarer of the two. Cloud-to-cloud lightning is the more typical version seen, and is the lightning seen high up in the clouds. Cloud-to-cloud lightning is the type we see while playing in Green Run (hence why we so no rain during Green Run as well). So now that we have an idea of how lightning is formed, let's think back to the Tower of Babble EE. During the egg, Richtofen has us build what is basically a makeshift HAARP tower. Richtofen uses the radio tower to send signals, or 115 energy, into the ionosphere, the upper part of our atmosphere. What the 115 is doing from there is still unclear, but there are a couple of possibilties in the works. In the picture below, the energy from the tower can be seen coming from the base of the tower, runs up the height of the tower, and then continues up into the sky. Richtofen is sending electrical energy into the sky, clouds and atmosphere. Now back to the lightning. Remember that lightning occurs because of a difference in electrical charges between clouds, and that is exactly what is happening here. Richtofen's sending of energy into the atmosphere caused a significant change in electrical charges, causing an excessive and continuous amount of lightning that we see at the end of the Easter Egg. Iozxja_yA_g Or who knows, maybe The Weather Channel was just forecasting thunderstorms that day.
