For England, Alec. Just had to reply to that. Huge bond fan. Lol
-
Who said it was any where near Nacht? The Hanford site and nuketown are miles away from each other...
-
I would be more than happy if this thread is moved to Asylum. I'm glad people recognize my interest in Nacht. I love the map and even though its the oldest of the old, I still enjoy playing it to this day because of its simplicity. Cheers!
-
I didn't notice the roads before, good observation! Didn't know there was a bridge behind Nacht either... I've been too busy poking around the cornfields to notice anything else... If there is a Mod reading this, please consider giving this thread a sticky. I feel like it's really gotten people's juices flowing again about how Nacht is connected, and I want to figure out why Nacht is so shrouded in mystery STILL.
-
See title of my post: "Could Be a Facade" How would those people know what happened previously anyways?
-
But it's not the same exact building. In fact, there are many, many differences. Vehicles. Explosive barrels. Nazis. Radio. Collapsed roof. Fencing. Etc. Barrels - already exploded Vehicles - driven off or used by nameless marines to escape Nazis - possibly experimented-on POWs Radio - destroyed in the first onslaught of zombies Collapsed roof - destroyed from all the random gun fire Fencing - destroyed by the zombies? all these are possible
-
Yes it's awesome LOL Hmmm.. I should read into your theory more, but I started this thread to get people talking about Nacht again. It's a very simple map, but still shrouded in mystery story-wise, it's inclusion in Green Run blew my mind
-
Nice try, but that's just a standard quote for placing turbines The forest cafe bit is interesting though! Keep digging...

You again Murder? We seem to be locking horns all over the forums lol I humbly agree to disagree. While the name of the map is indeed German. I still can't help shake the feeling 3arc is trying to fool us by including the EXACT same building in Green Run. Maybe the corn fields sprouted up around Nacht after the events of NDU in WaW and the zombie blood helped grow the corn that is now surrounding the building... Far fetched? Yes. Possible? Yes Maybe the zombie blood in the corn acted as a slow acting virus to turn all the former residents/workers of Green Run into zombies. Far fetched? Yes. Possible? Yes.

No. We know that Verruckt and Der Reise are in Germany, but there isn't enough to conclude that Nacht is exactly in Germany... Just because there are NAZI zombies, doesn't mean that it couldn't be located elsewhere. Perhaps the zombies are nazi POWs that were experimented on. I'm not completely sold that NDU takes place in Germany. I mean, what the fudge are American Marines doing fighting NAZI zombies? The Marines never encounter the nazis in the campaign, only the japanese. Maybe the zombie outbreak started in America, seeing as US Marines never encountered the nazis in the campaign. Hell, now that I think about it... Maybe the PLANE ITSELF was carrying a shipment of nazi POWs, one turned zombie mid flight because of 115 exposure, infected the rest of the POWs, and the zombies caused the crash in the first place... Holy shit I just blew my own mind.

Giant Accomplishment? More Like Giant Headache

While I agree that challenges should have been in zombies, it is completely out of place to attack Carbon. He doesn't even work in that area. Just because he doesn't work in that area doesn't mean he can't suggest things. Word travels around departments, even if he didn't directly suggest it to the campaign designers, he could've mouthed off about it and had his comments heard and carried on by word of mouth. -
Very good theory. Maybe the 4 marines were actually returning from Der Reise like you stated. Someone on board the plane mis-handled the 115, became infected, and somehow managed to down the plane, leaving the 4 to fight him off and scramble out of the wreckage to safety inside the building in Nacht. I sincerely hope 3arc releases some sort of official storyline for Zombies when they finally decide to end the phenomenom that we've all come to love and obsess over.
-
You don't know that for sure. No one does. Just because Jimmy Z is jerking us around on twitter does not mean the EE is done. Explain the Nav Cards, explain the numerous quotes from Maxis and Richtofen suggesting more steps, and explain why there are pieces for buildables that cannot be combined with anything else.
-
This. Retroactively! 3arc did not realize the potential of the game mode, and have been scrambling to figure out a way to implement it into the main theme/plot of Zombies. Now it's up to us to figure it out. I mean, think about it, why the hell would there be US Marines in Germany after the war? The level description tells us: "You drove them deep into the heart of the Reich, you thought they were dead. You thought Wrong." OKAY! So why are we not playing as Russian soldiers? The whole element of US Marines being the playable characters just throws me for a loop! Cheers!

I know it's been said numerous times before, but I can't help but be a fanboy all over again. The plain truth is that Treyarch is better than Infinity Ward in all aspects of game creation. Which company introduces sprint to MP? 3arc! Which company blew our minds with the creation of Zombies? 3arc! Which company has consistently innovated on CoD? 3arc! Now I'm not saying IW is a terrible company at game creation, I mean I love the story of MW and it's numerous characters. But 3arc has consistently and irrefutably amazed me with their CoD titles. Treyarch forever! (Mods move this thread at your will, I just needed to get that orgasm of fanboy ism out on the open) :D

I love this idea. Testing ground makes more sense, since we never found out the identities of the original 4 marines.
-
Very nice inclusion! Doesn't Richtofen say something similar about Nacht? I could have sworn I heard him say something similar...
-
Thanks for your reply. I mean not everything we find in Zombies has to be justified, but I can't shake the feeling that Nacht wasn't placed in Green Run just for the sake of nostalgia. It just makes you think. That's what I love about Treyarch, if your in it for more than just Zombie killing, your brain and ability to find knowledge will certainly be tested.
-
I LOVE this! Thank you so much dude.

I got to thinking about the inclusion of Nacht in Green Run, and I realized something. Nacht has appeared in every Treyarch made CoD since WaW. Here's a crazy theory that might just be true: What if the Nacht we see in Green Run is a staging area, the same exact one from WaW? Let me explain a little bit more. Maybe it's possible that the Nazi zombies first encountered there were captured POWs that were experimented on, and the Nazi vehicles were placed there before being broken down for scrap? Maybe 3arc fooled us from the start of Zombies! When we first played Nacht in WaW, everything seemed relatively normal. Windows boarded up, access to the upstairs area and HELP room intact. However, when we find it in Green Run, it's a mess. As if hundreds of zombies had overrun the 4 nameless unknown soldiers we played as the first time. This is JUST a theory. Nacht has confused me and it irks me to no end that it still can't be placed solidly at any point during the story. Because 3arc released official info that the outbreak at Nacht was indeed the 2nd outbreak. Thoughts?

Interesting... I want to try this for myself, good thinking!

Snobbish incoherent little prick. Be grateful for folks like me, I donate generously to this site because I love Zombies and the story behind it. I DO NOT support little assholes like you, though. You're better suited to playthegamecentral or whatever the hell it's called. P.S. I was going to drop it, but I'm sick and tired of having my words pissed on when I am one of the people keeping this site alive.
-
Nothing is getting to me. I'm fine. I have donated to this site very generously over the past few years, and I get set off when people jump down my throat. If it wasn't for me and several others this site would have gone down a long time ago. Cheers!

Not sure if this is directed at me or MMX, but I'm not calling anyone names here. I love some of MMX's threads. It's just that it makes my skin crawl when I state a "possibility" I have TESTED, and someone comes along and shoots it down like its a pile of horse crap and doesn't matter. No hard feelings here, just annoyed.
-
No, you are incorrect. I tested it over a span of 2 hours in solo playing as each character. Don't babble on about something you have not tested yourself. Disrespect is a hobby for you, no? Your test was flawed. Your claim means nothing. If you want to make such a case, make a thread detailing your test and people will either believe you or they will not. I'm certainly not going to make a test to prove that something does NOT occur every time someone makes fictitious connection. Disrespect? If you are offended that easily, you need to get off the Internet. I'm sick and tired of Some of the users on this site thinking they can shoot down others because they feel like it. Drop the stupid elite entitlement garbage and move on. This site was established for posting theories and useful info, and that's all I'm trying to do. So get off my ass and worry about your own agenda.
