You guys are aware that this and the one on Ascension aren't really Easter Eggs, but rather full on missions? And, of course they added to the story. Seeing how the original group interacts when not actively fighting zombies helps to develop their character.

Pros: -The incorporation of new characters was great, especially while keeping the story on track -Atmospheric effects were a very nice touch Cons: -Weapon selection, and this is for every map, not just Call of the Dead. I mean there are quite a few other guns in the game that aren't being utilized. Why not switch it up? Instead of getting the HK21 maybe we could get the M60? I know that not all the other options are the best guns, but variety is nice.

Well this is rather discouraging... and I'm afraid we're back to square as far as the next step goes. Unless, of course, the "6" is actually a "9." Regardless, thanks for your input.

call of the dead-list- what we know so far
meh replied to General Dempsey's topic in Call Of The Dead
Yeah. Got the combination. Purple: 6 Yellow: 2 Orange: 7 Blue: 4 We figured out that the color of the dials corresponded to scraps of paper found throughout the map, as indicated by the portraits in the room with the our heroes are in. On these scraps are single digits. You can read the whole thing here: viewtopic.php?f=62&t=10928 Now, we just have to figure out how each dial affects the others so that we can input the proper combination. Once we do so, we should be able to give the crew the golden rod and finish the easter egg. DISREGARD THIS. WHILE I WAS MAKING THE POST SOMEONE WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM THAT IT DOESN'T WORK. -

Quick google search turned up this http://forums.xbox.com/6/36411563/ShowPost.aspx Purple is "6" (already found) Yellow is "2" Orange is "7" Still looking for blue. The portraits in the room with our heroes indicate that the last number will be found in there. Let's find it. Go, Go, Go!

Hey, guys. I'm sure you've all gotten past the golden step and we need to figure out what's next. Right now I've noticed that the four dials found throughout the lighthouse are different colors. Near the Double Tap machine there is a life ring which contains a scrap of paper with the number "6" in purple. I'm assuming that four of these need to be found to get the proper combination. Haven't been able to find the others though.

The only thing fishy about the screenshots is that he has all 7 perks, and I'm pretty sure it caps at 4. Anyway, the golden rod can be found at the base of the lighthouse. After getting the green light on the submarine you have to use the VR11 to turn a zombie into a human at the base of the lighthouse who will then be sucked up into the light. After a while, you'll hear a generic "glowing" sound and the golden rod will appear at the base of the lighthouse.

You know what's funny? The game is rated M, for players who are 18+, but this site has no age restriction. Just keep that in mind.

That part gave you away. 7/10 for the effort though.

Hey, guys. What if the easter egg is done? I mean he asks for help being released, and then we released him. Seems pretty done to me.

Anyone else wish they had done something like House of the Dead Overkill? From the trailers it looks like any sort of filter will be absent, which is really a shame. For those who think it would hinder visibility, it wouldn't have to be permanent, it could be like the black and white rounds during Ascension.

Someone just went full retard.

First, you are using the word "arbitrary" wrong. Second, I am aware that Treyarch could have coded that into the game, but ask yourself if it makes any sense. Why would staring at a paw print upgrade a perk? It defies any sort of conventional goal progression. Third, don't bring up coding. HoboRisesAgain is being an absolute ass about that on the other threads. I only started when people went out of their way to be an ass over nothing. So quit crying b/c you got burned worse. Now ask yourself this question, why would pressing x on an arbitrary item without a perk have no response when if you do have a perk there is a response to that exact same thing. Why do they use a non unique noise? It's just a grunt. All I've heard has been speculative or anecdotal evidence. Just link me to a video that shows a before and after comparison. People taking more hits, reloading faster, etc.

You make it sound like confidence is a bad thing.
