Possibly. But Yuri is also an extremely common Russian name. Could be Kyle just keeping up with his Russian theme. The card table with 'Zombie Terrorist' is interesting to me. - The dummies are wearing zombie masks - The soda bottles are orange and red (doube-tap & jugg?) - Theres a random dead chicken on the table (dead-ops chicken?) - When zoomed in, you can see one zombie clearly has an Ace of Spades in his hand, The cards are arrange so this one sticks out I'll try to post correlating pictures from FPSRussia's vid later.... Remember the card table scenery in Kino? Lots of coincidences here. I expect to see history continue to repeat itself in many strange ways in BO2. I knew you'd also remember the table Mix Was racing through my mind the second I saw it

Official CallOFDuty.com BO2 Viral thread - UPDATE 7
BlindBusDrivr replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
I'm not even sure what's going on with the boxes because like 2 of them have dates for me and there's like 12 boxes classified but like 6 or 7 until the reveal :? -
I was thinking lastnight about his friend "Yuri" aswell. Could this be a hint towards the Ascension Group's Yuri? Too many coincidences surrounding that video. Regards Alpha. Wait that's right. Yuri, it seems is our best idea for the Pentagon Thief. And we know from the loading screens he got sent through time, a lot. I wonder where he ended up. And how his goal is to steal your WEAPONS and bring them back with him
-
He means the car he blows up. oh I thought he said it at the start too. Ok well that's actually good though because it would be bad for my CotD connection theory if it was Russian lol
-
oh and to add to this I believe that TACITUS may be another Russian organization. Because RPSRussia keeps saying "I'd like to thank my friend YURI for giving me his ride"

Who do you think is the character in the backround?

Official CallOFDuty.com BO2 Viral thread - UPDATE 7
BlindBusDrivr replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps Tacitus is the result of George Romero's expedition. Obviously those 4 would have some sort of connection or way out, and whatever extraction group came to get them would have stumbled onto some intriguing technologies. And of coarse, the VR-11. And what better way to weaponize the zombies without fearing your own safety.... when you have the cure  -
Yes I enjoyed Black Ops and its story BUT if I have to kill zombies in campaign I'm not happy. There is zombie game mode for that. There can be similar little bits and connections to zombies like in Black Ops which really don't affect the story itself. And besides making zombie campaign isn't very Treyarchish (new adjective) IMO. Zombie story should be told with zombie maps and its Easter Eggs. I'm pretty sure Tacitus is some evil weapon corporation, that Mason and others come across when evading CIA and searching some answers. Oh well this would be a different perspective of zombies, not from our 4 heroes' view. It would be like Nova6, you're trying to stop it, but it's rare you actually come in contact. zombies also fits with the quote of Steiner "No matter how powerful the weapon, you must still find a way to unleash it" There's some promising things they could do. All we can do now is wait for update 3.
-
It's funny how we instantly antagonized Tacitus. What if it's an organization created by, well maybe an old member from the earlier zombie days? Possibly. All I know is that TACITUS definitely sounds more like an American codename than anything else. Then again it could be a codename for an enemy enterprise. I guess we'll just have to wait til UPDATE #3 when some more light will be shed on the subject.

The Link Between Tacitus, the Campaign, and Zombies? Maybe.

We don't know But recent conspiracies lead me to believe it lands on the 12/21/12  -

You know, what we're all overlooking is the fact that Earth is apparently destroyed as of right now, in the Moon campaign. I wonder if that will play a part... I guess only time can tell hey. Well my theory #3 is that we are in the future after the moon nukes in the post apocalyptic earth and TACITUS is the weapons manufacturer making weapons to combat zombies. -
The Link Between Tacitus, the Campaign, and Zombies? Maybe.
BlindBusDrivr replied to Raptured's topic in Single Player
This is very similar to my ideas. Except I believe it is the US sending it's devices from the future back to it's home base at Area 51, if you look up some of my Research Facility posts you will find that many things from the future continue to end up at Groom Lake... -
Like little guest appearances per say. I really think they're going to stick with Mason's story, which in this case would be him on the run, leaving little room for zombies. Somehow they have to clear their names, and eventually come into a lab where zombies have broken loose. You have to fight them for a little bit, then either escape or are rescued. That's my ideal cameo. I don't really want it to be the focus, I just think that'd be a bit weird. UNLESS the "weapon" is unknown until pretty much the end of the game. Then it would work perfectly. Because the old cameos are a snooze. We already know how it's all going to go. Toss in weapons contractors from the future and zombies used by terrorists for biological warfare in what's potentially post apocalyptic earth..... You've a whole new experience.
-
If this happens, I will not be happy. That just doesn't work in zombies. Oh, so you were talking about a full campaign... bad idea imo, even if it is a different story. It should really just stick to cameos. I doubt it will be much more. They can either stick with the old cameos, which is causing MW3 to have less players than MW2 mid black ops release, or they can do something entirely new and rewrite gaming history with the most epic story of all time. BTW about that theory that TACITUS is made to combat zombies in the future. What if it's on Earth post Moon-nukes
-
A zombies campaign would still play like a normal campaign, except with zombies as the super weapon. How many times did we ACTUALLY come in contact with Nova6 til the end besides Reznov's flashback? I think they could do this really well.
-
I may have it a little backwards. Maybe TACITUS wasn't made to put the zombies into combat. Maybe TACITUS was made to COMBAT the zombies! go to 2:45 "Let's put her in a situation she is well suited for. Sneaking up on some evil creatures in hard to reach places."

Alright guys I'm going to say what I think we're going to be dealing with now. Alright so after talking a little to perfect lemonade and Covert, and seeing Alpha post those keywords, it's become rather clear that TACITUS is a weapons manufacturing company from the future. and it hit me, I've been saying this for months! The line between Zombies and Campaign has been running thin, very thin, almost microscopic, and now I think we're ready to cross. Zombies will become the new Nova6. The weapon. TACITUS, a weapons company from the future, potentially working for a middle eastern country (don't mean to stereotype but it's where most of the terrorists with any sort of funding come from) and they are selling them advanced weapons such as the quadrocopter. And eventually they come across old documents from the Nazis, likely similar to George Romero did, and found out about the attempts to weaponize and control the zombies. And hmm, a super weapon falling into the wrong hands, where have I seen this... It's Black Ops I's history repeating! They will try to weaponize the zombies and sell them to the terrorists. I know it's a little vague but there's still more to uncover and it's very early but I'm very sure this is on the right track. been saying it since here: http://callofdutyzombies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=20291 Zombies = new nova6 what do you guys think? Your a bit late, man. We have already been told that the Roman Philosopher and stuff is irrelevant to TACITUS...It has to be solved, FPSRussia said he would give a prize if someone solved it. Plus, we get a new image tommorow I'm almost certain it's a codename I just cannot find the op. -

BlindBusDrivr replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
My finds on TACITUS: Cornelius Tacitus; Famous Roman philospher. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacitus And it's Latin meaning is 'Silent'. So what I can get from this, is that it's probably going to be a codename of Operation in the game. Since the Government loves to use fancy code names based off of latin words or significant historical figures. The true meaning will likely not be decoded until the game comes out. -

That picture that's really blurry is the view of the helicopter at angle. Those two gray rectangles are the sides of the rotor edges. Then the front of it and the green dot is the censor. -

I agree with Mix and Matuzz that the gun is a SIG Sauer P226. It looks like it, fits the possible timeframe of around 1980. And it was the old standard issue for the CIA before the Glock 22 came around. -

Pics are fake guys. that's an obvious MP7, and it's from 2001. That guy just combined things from the HUD of all the games.
