It's not the Apollo 13, the quote was just for some cool effect But the rockets are just to represent how we got there. The third picture is a logo we see on the moon map.

I'm assuming it's a camera's view, since every other view of controlling an aircraft was.

From my analysis of the reveal I have noticed and ID'ed most of the vehicles shown in it, and they're closest real life counterparts. TACITUS transport: This is a transport aircraft in the game. It looks to be for civilian and peaceful usage, since no armaments are visible. Undefined logo on the tail makes it possibly a TACITUS aircraft. Boeing V22 Opsrey: The Osprey is the same it used to be, except now it's turbo-props have been replaced by jet turbines. And instead of carrying soldiers, it carries quad rotors, our new main infantry. Basically just a super-Osprey. Will be controllable in the game, confirmed by footage from the POV of the Osprey gunner in the trailer. (sorry no screenshot but I'm sure you saw it) TACITUS Quadrotor/Quadrotor Overwatch. Just for specification, the Quadrotor is the unarmed version, and the Overwatch is the armed one with the SMG mount. This will be the main system used by the army, as it appears to be like our new infantry. It's only armament is the SMG cannon mounted underneath. It has cameras and sensors for reconnaissance purposes. It will be controllable in the game. The CLAW The CLAW is the name of this walker-like unmanned tank. It looks like an AT-TE from Star Wars. It's got a large side mounted cannon, and many infrared sensors, and it's got a 360 degree M134 Gatling Gun mounted on the top. X-47C? This will be a recon/stealth attack UAV drone in the next drone. It appears to be based off of Northrop Grumman's X-47B drone, but it has minor differences which lead me to believe it is rather a more futuristic version of it. It's hard to discern since all modern Flying Wing design UCAVs look incredibly similar Ground Attack Drone I don't recall it having a specific name so I just called it this. It appears to have multi barrel, metal storm, style cannons on it. Likely inspired by the Terminator 3 robots. for those of you who don't know, Metal Storm, is a name for a new type of weapons, which has all the rounds stacked in a barrel, and they are triggered to detonate by electric impulses. It can fire in upwards of 15,000 rpm. (that's 15x as fast as the Vector in mw2). General Atomics Avenger The General Atomics Avenger UCAV is an unmanned attack vehicle, with the same armaments as a Reaper drone, except they are stored in an internal bay and has better stealth capabilities. Not much else to say. Oh yeah and it will be controllable in the game. In the trailer there is a brief clip of a craft firing a hellfire missile guided by an infrared laser through a thermal camera. i.e., it works like a Reaper. UH60 Blackhawk The Blackhawk is returning, apparently the only manned aircraft left. It is the standard transport/utility helicopter in service in the USAF. Appears to have the same armaments as the other campaign ones in the Modern Warfare games. Mil MI-24 'HIND' Yes the infamous Hind is back again. It is seen in the flashback mission in Yemen, Socotra Island, 1987. It's been the standard Russian gunship for decades and serviced throughout the globe for it's affordability, ruggedness, and tough armaments. Very popular in Russia, and the Middle East. MiG 23 Flogger This the MiG 23 flogger,it's an old MiG design from the 80s, I believe made to counter the F14 Tomcat. Either way, it's the only Russian born jet in the game, along with the hind in that image confirms middle eastern air combat. New unmanned Fighter Jet F22/35 There is a new jet in this game, which is basically a combination of everything awesome in fighter jets. It's a combination of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the F-22 Raptor. It's armaments appear to inner mounted gatling guns, as one of the images above show them firing. And if I know anything about aircraft, it's likely got missiles in it's indoor bay. And then below you see it coming out of a massive turn into a hover, showing that this aircraft is unmanned and has Thrust Vectoring capabilities, which basically means it can channel the force of the engine. As you can see air coming out of outlet nozzles underneath the aircraft. And since it's almost impossible for human to survive that force, I would have to believe it's unmanned. But for sure it is based off the F22's body, and the F35's design. That shows how Thrust Vectoring works I would hope. Clearly based off the F35: IsIzjVi7j4 also note it will be controllable, I saw some shots of the plane in a pilots view, or probably the cameras view Overall looks like this game will be booming with amazing future technology. Enjoy.

Treyarch putting an emphasis on Female characters
BlindBusDrivr replied to thetheorist's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I wouldn't get to excited about getting another female character in zombies besides Sam, or if they repeat playing as the political figures again. The real reason why they have a girl, is advertising. Since the games audience (the majority) is male, so they put 2 of men's favorite things on the poster. Girls & Guns. Up there along with Cars, Tools, and Money. -
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Super-Guide (Update 5/6)

It should be fine, when I googled it I found over a half a dozen articles about them so it doesn't seem like a leak or anything new. -
Middle Eastern zombies?
BlindBusDrivr replied to BlindBusDrivr's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Ah yes Waffles I remember 2001: Space Odyssey, I've seen parts of it. Funny how you show that pyramid, the other day I just read about Kubrick's Illuminati symbolism in his films  -
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Super-Guide (Update 5/6)
BlindBusDrivr replied to BlackOpsTiger's topic in Single Player
Oh I just remembered something to add about the vehicles in the game. this is seen throughout the trailer, it is the General Atomic Avenger UCAV. It's the main UAV plane of the military in the future. And in one of those videos you posted above, when discussing the new UAVs and their weapons he says they can carry 3,000 lbs of explosives, a direct reference to the payload of the Avenger. So I think it is rather likely that it will appear as an attack streak in the games MP and certainly play a multi-role part in the campaign. EDIT: Also note that this is the best pic I could of that potential TACITUS logo I mentioned earlier: -
Now that Zombies is confirmed, could Dwarka be next?
BlindBusDrivr replied to BlindBusDrivr's topic in Single Player
Well I was kind of thinking of it as a sort of Hindu Atlantis. That probably had technology which is still salvageable, or contains a gateway to Agartha. Maybe USO's could be involved. unidentified submerged objects. Say some stuff on UFO files about this stuff, perhaps they might tie it in. -
Call of Duty: Black Ops II Super-Guide (Update 5/6)
BlindBusDrivr replied to BlackOpsTiger's topic in Single Player
Very interesting videos there. It gives us an insight into the game. I knew the drones played a big role, but I didn't think it would our own turning against us. I did notice that they gave away many elements of the game. First off, I noticed they kept showing that time lapse video of the US NAVY Rail Gun test. A Rail Gun is a weapon which uses magnetics to fire a projectile, by using magnetics to toss it out of the barrel. Recent tests show that it can fire a projectile at Mach 7. And the craziest thing, is it can work in space. And if you put it on a satellite, and arm it with nuclear artilery, you can fire a nuke from space  The other thing was the planes, in the video I noticed that propellers, except on that one blue craft, are extinct. Jet's are taking over, and thrust vectoring nozzles are on almost every aircraft, and by the design and maneuvers, it seems they've combined super-manueverability AND stealth, an engineering anomaly in modern avionics. The other thing was the hacking part, and hacking missiles and such. Seems like much of this was inspired by the capture of Northrop's RQ170 drone (which SHOULD have had a self destruct ) But the focus on how fast technology advances and how we can't react or keep up, makes me think of the terminator. It's an obvious inspiration, that jet osprey was inspired by one of the Skynet drones. The tank with the 3 barrel metal storm cannon was inspired by that tank-like on in T3: Rise of the Machines. Maybe we should look back for more evidence? But as for the overall summary of the game. It seems that we have become almost entirely independent on our unmanned technology and our enemy is hacking it to use back against us. And the black ops in the middle east, look like we're hitting our enemy, by taking out their hackers at the source. -

Here's my observations from the trailer: u233wVbCkfI I'll keep you all posted on any new finds. -
There's a reason why Woods was the only one to make it out of the last game. My best bet: Woods what at the Quarantiane base in Cuba. After the events at Five, the Americans needed a way to keep Castro quiet about it to the Russians. So they made a shared base in Cuba for research to keep them quiet. Woods was the guy sent in to be an supervisor incase anything went wrong. It went well until an outbreak to big for him to handle happened. Afterwards he left and got his 115 tattoos removed to help him forget that events of that base. And then there's his Huey lying outside of the map: Woods has seen a lot. They worked him pretty hard in Hanoi too, if you haven't check out Alpha's thread on how he busted out. Can't wait to see more of him in Black Ops II.

Right-o Mac. And more people need to see this idea, I mean yes the trailer is coming out soon, but there's still much more work to be done. And only so much can be gotten from the trailer. When's the last time Treyarch gave us a straight answer?... Keep speculating.

Very nice work here Mac. I also think I may know why HAARP would be used for disasters and mental influence, to keep the nations angry at each other and continue buying their weapons and fighting.

I think that it may be Woods. In the picture we see veteran medals. And Woods is the only character hinted at remotely so far: We'll see -
you know what Alpha, you've changed my mind I thought a gun was to obvious, but now that I see somebody propose an attack/recon drone so well I think it may be a good possibility. That would also explain the funny connecting rig on the barrel, it's not connecting the Grenade Launching it's holding the gun. And as we all know, this ties back into the 'Unmanned Systems' Theme.

BlindBusDrivr replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
Calm down a little buddy. We're not going to have a confirmation on this anytime soon so don't get to bent up over disagreements, remember this is all speculation. And it could just be a makeshift rig for the launcher, and those wouldn't be fingers they'd be the launcher grip. -
The Enemy... update = future propaganda
BlindBusDrivr replied to BlindBusDrivr's topic in Single Player
Call of Duty has been noting American propaganda and corruption in all governments for a while. The Russians working with the middle east to make nuclear weapons to use against the west. The American spies, false flag ops, etc. But I think the biggest message was the end of call of duty. The SAS and American team go in and stop a nuclear missile from hitting America and hit the killswitch and shut it down. and the news woman says that it was a nuclear test and was perfectly within NATO guidelines and everything was ok. In all the Call of Duty's, the public is oblivious to the governments actions. Many in reality are that way too. -

It looks comparable, but I know it's not Chernobyl. Right now my bet is on a nuclear facility of oil rig. -

BlindBusDrivr replied to Strwrsbob's topic in General Discussion
i almost want to agree but my only problem is in the back ground it looks like two giant pieces of metal that also look to be painted in a digital like camo. I think it's just the static of the picture distorting it to make it look like camp. And it could be the side of the rest of the building.
