  1. Think about it. What better maps to do team vs team than on the maps that are designed for it. The zombies could spawn like the attack dogs do, and the two teams play objectives until a score limit is reached. There are two reasons I think this: 1. Zombies is in the multiplayer engine. Kinda self-explanatory, wouldn't take much work on Treyarch's part. 2. The return of Nuketown. Nuketown is returning in 2 forms, Nuketown 2025, and Nuketown zombies. Every Hardened edition comes with both, but only pre-ordering gets you Nuketown 2025. So every multiplayer map has a zombies alternatem Nuketown 2025 included. So Nuketown zombies could very well be the first confirmed 4v4 map. What do you think?
  2. Hate to break it to everyone, but this emblem is from the IOS version of zombies on iPhone and iPad. Nothing new.
  3. You know, I'm actually getting angry at Treyarch. All of these teases, and still nothing. Remember back in June, "Zombie details will be forthcoming." Oh yeah, clearly. It's like when someone taller than you is holding something above your head and saying "Jump for it, come on JUMP!" and you can never get it. I don't care if they never bring out a trailer. Stop with the stupid teases.
  4. I'm pretty sure the voice actor of Woods would know if Woods was in zombies.
  5. Add this to the loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong list of teases, but Treyarch changed their Twitter profile pic: Kinda zombie-ish. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
  6. Hello all. I much like you am VERY excited for Blops 2 zombies. This thread contains what I think Blops 2 zombies will offer us. Ok, let's start with a quote from Treyarch head, Mark Lamia: "Zombies really is its own game that just so happens to be shipping on this platform called Black Ops 2". What has every COD sinces WaW had? 3 game modes, Campaign, Online Multiplayer, and Co-op. If zombies is "its own game", it should have these 3 things. 1. Campaign: This has been confirmed here: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/347444/e3-2012-games-call-of-duty-black-ops-2/?page=2#top_banner The length or content of this campaign is a mystery, but still cool that we have it. So boom. Campaign = check. 2. Co-op: This is what zombies is all about. Mark Lamia has said "If you like the classic wave-based survival mode, great. We have that." Awesome. But was there really any doubt? No, but it's still comforting to hear. 3. Multiplayer: Here's where it gets interesting. Multiplayer has been the meat and potatoes of every COD since 2007 when COD4 hit the scene. But what does that have to do with zombies? It means zombies is getting a multiplayer with two teams fighting it out. "But electricpneguin7, how do we know that for sure?" We don't, but using various clues Treyarch has given us, it makes sense. What clues? These: a. Zombies is in the multiplayer engine. Treyarch has said this has given them opportunities for more players, Theater mode and wager matches. Hmm. b. New game modes. Mark Lamia has said "... but were doing more than just survival. There are brand new modes that zombie fans will enjoy." c. This quote. (Mark Lamia) "If you have friends that you play Zombies with, get your clans ready, because there's going to be a vs mode." If that's not proof, I don't know what is. Treyarch has said that they have increased the player limit in zombies from 4 to 8, so not only can we do survival mode with 8 players, but we can play Zombies multiplayer with two teams of 4. How would that work though? Well it would work just like regular multiplayer. You pick a game mode you wanna play, it puts you in a game. You'd level up and create classes to fight zombies (two things that have been requested in zombies.) So say there's something like capture the flag, with one flag. You start in the map on an equivalent of round, say, 12. You have to grab the flag and return it before the enemy team does, but you're not killing the enemy team, you're fighting off the zombies that are stopping you from capturing the flag. So you're still competing with another human team, but by not killing them, but rather the zombies. You'd get experience and such, the game would end when a score limit has been reached, you edit your classes and do it again. So that's how I would do zombies if it were up to me, and it sounds like it may all happen. So basically at the main menu of BO2, you'd hit zombies and it would take you to the Zombies main menu. Then you'd pick Campaign, Survival, Multiplayer. Sounds good right? Please Treyarch, do this. As a quick note I wanted to quickly talk about DLC. Now DlC would have to cater to both regular multiplayer and zombies. If I ran the joint, here's how I'd handle the COD Elite Content Season: January: - Multiplayer Map - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Multiplayer Map February: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Survival Map ------------------------------------------ Map Pack 1 March: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Multiplayer Map April: - Multiplayer Map - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Survival Map ------------------------------------------ Map Pack 2 May: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Multiplayer Map June: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Survival Map July: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Multiplayer Map ------------------------------------------ Map Pack 3 August: - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Survival Map September: - Multiplayer Map - Multiplayer Map - Zombie Multiplayer Map ------------------------------------------ Map Pack 4 That DLC plan would give 12 regular Multiplayer maps, 5 Zombie Multiplayer Maps, and 4 Zombie survival maps. Black Ops and MW3 both had 12 Multiplayer dlc maps, and Black Ops had 4 new Zombie maps, so it would fit with the current trend of DLC. So what do you think? Like it, hate it? Why? Leave comments!
  7. I get frustrated by campers, but as others have said, it's part of the game. If you don't like it, don't play it. I don't think it's fair of you to report them for playing a certain style.
  8. I would like to see an option to play without rounds, just like Area 51. After certain amount of time goes by, zombies get more health and speed. You could never get one crawler and go do what you have to, it'd make the game MUCH more challenging, because you'd never have a break. I think Treyarch could make it work.
  9. That seems cool and all, but in the MP little preview, it was called a "Pointstreak", plus the Juggernaught was 14, not 15, but they could have been using Hardline. I wouldn't rely on this, because certain combos would be just unstoppable, such as Hardline and Scavenger, and Sleight of Hand and Quickdraw. But the new killstreak system looks interesting.
  10. The bald guy has a great resemblance to the bald guy on the First Strike poster.
  11. The new perk did not make the ray gun dual wield, so that answers that question. :|
  12. Can't. Wait.
  13. This is probably true, although it sounds like a waste to me, kinda like Double Tap and Deadshot Daiquiri. Meh, it could be useful.
  14. I don't know... that seems WAY too open to be a zombie map. Zombie maps don't give you that much room to run around, unless there's water or something to slow you down.
  15. It looks like the same place as the new perk we know about that people suggest allows three weapons. Same color and everything.
  16. thats the most dumbest thing i have heard come from a CODZ member. tryarch could make so much money out of a zombie survival game. completely customizeable stuff the whole shabang. it would bring zombies to a whole new level and everything. how could you say it would ruin zombies? are you high??? I agree with selectyeti89. If it had all that, it'd be multiplayer with zombies. Zombies got so popular for its originality, and you want to make it like every other CoD multiplayer? I sure hope Treyarch keeps it the way they have it, starting off with a Colt M1911, two frags and a knife. That's it.
  17. Yes, but in past systems, if you got killed your streak reset. How will your streak reset now if it's based on points? If your enemy gets points, your streak goes down? And it was 14 points, whereas points end in a 5 or 0. I'm sure it's still all about killing.
  18. A lot of talk about Moon is about the story. Well, what about how the map is layed out? Well, some say to find about the future, look to the past. So I did. Ok, let's look at Black Ops. It's gonna have 4 map packs soon. Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri-La, and Moon. We know this. Check this out: Ascension = Der Riese. Both are VERY similar. 3 quick escape devices that must be used to open Pack A Punch. Very balanced map, with open and tight areas. Box is always in power room at the start. Similar amount of door and paths to take. Call of the Dead = Shi No Numa. Both are very open. Lots of ares with water to slow you and the zombies down. Call of the Dead even has a hut at the end of a bit of water with a perk machine in it as well as a weapon and two windows, which could be a reference to Shi No Numa. Shangri-La = Verruckt. Both are very tight maps. Two paths that both end up at the power. Not many places for rape trains, and running the whole map is usually the best strategy. So as the maps go up on Black Ops, they go down on World at War. So could that mean: Moon = Nacht der Untoten? Moon is supposedly the hardest map yet. Nacht der Untoten is a brutal map, very various reasons. It was also said that none of our strategies we use now will work. The way I see it, there are three basic strategies. Full map rape trains, small rape trains, and camping. The first two are very difficult to manage on Nacht der Untoten, due to the small nature of the map. So could this mean that Moon will be a super small map that will make every other map look like a cakewalk? Obviously there will be perks, there's supposed to be a new one. But could Moon be super small with very awkward layout and inconveniently placed windows? ______________________________________________________________________________ Another theory I had, what if it's all of the map designs put together? Like, what if it has features from every map thus far? The way I see it, there are a few archetypes of maps that have been used a few times. - Small maps (Nacht der Untoten, maybe "Five") - Tight maps (Verruckt, "Five", Shangri-La) - Open maps (Shi No Numa, Call of the Dead) - Mixed maps (Der Riese, Ascension) - Circle maps (Kino der Toten, Shangri-La, maybe Verruckt) So maybe Moon has an area for all of these archetypes, to kinda symbolize all of the zombie slaying fun we've had over the course of World at War and Black Ops, maybe as a good bye, like a highlight reel? Hopefully not, but hey, it's up to Treyarch. ______________________________________________________________________________ The last theory I have is kind of a mixture of Verruckt and Shi No Numa. There's four spawns, so no matter how many players, you'll always be split up. The map is designed very much like Shi No Numa, where it has the four legs, and a big area in the middle connecting the four. On each leg is a random perk. The four perks that can be randomly added to these four legs are Quick Revive, Deadshot Daiquiri, Double Tap Root Beer, and PhD Flopper, kinda like Shangri-La. Obviously on Solo, you'd start on one of these four, (it changes) with Quick Revive. As you move into the middle, you go inside the moon base, which has the power, and Jugger-nog, Speed Cola, Stamin-up and the new perk that makes Zombies "thrice the fun", as these are usually more valued by players. The base would have the power and the box would start there always, then move after a teddy bear (duh). In the base would be very tight, like Verruckt, but on the lunar surface would be open like Shi No Numa. It would symbolize the story in a pretty cool way. We have four heroes from different nations that were at war with each other. (This being represented by all players on separate legs.) They all come together in the middle and help. (Them starting to get along a little better than before.) But as they get into the base, it could represent them never being able to escape the zombie horde, and eventually getting swarmed. So Moon could be a mixture of all the maps. It would reference all of the maps as such: Nacht der Untoten: no escape routes Verruckt: tight inside the base Shi No Numa: open outside the base Der Riese: box always starts in same room as power Kino der Toten: base is a big circle Five: base has multiple floors Ascension: must activate parts of all map to access Pack a Punch Call of the Dead: make the map HUGE Shangri-La: random perks, but in sets That would make this map GREAT. Some say it's the last map ever. If so, Treyarch better make it the best of all time, and what better way to do that than by incorporating pieces of all the maps in one, to kind of symbolize the greatness that is: Nazi Zombies.
  19. Hey, quick question. Would you do Der Riese if you have it, or once Rezurrection comes out on PC? I can find any really good spots for that map. Keep up the great work dude! :D
  20. It also comes with a complete soundtrack that costs $10 on iTunes plus 3 new songs, and some other small stuff.
  21. Is it possible to get the Black Ops wall weapons from the box, such as the MPL, AK-74u, or the M16, on the classic maps?
  22. Looks like the DC region of the US to me.
  23. Activision won't let them. Activision believes that releasing a map pack for an "old" Call of Duty game would be pointless.
  24. Dude, nice work again. Your videos have helped me find alternative strategies to the ones I normally use. Nice job once again. [brains] for you.
  25. Hey, I was playing Shangri-la on my friend's xbox, and I noticed that Dempsey was saying A LOT of things regarding Treyarch, the player, the community and so forth. The most noticeable one was something like, "Hmm, a temple. Not where I thought we'd end up, but ok." and "I'd thought we'd have a new objective, but NO, you guys just never give the community what they want." These quotes strongly imply that Area 51 is the next map. The second one talks about a new objective, but 'you guys never give the community what they want.' What's the most talked about map? Area 51. A lot of Dempsey's quotes are like this, has any one else noticed all of these interesting quotes?
