Here's a rule of survival (for me anyway.) When playing Call of the Dead, don't go for the box first (even if the box is in the spawn area.) Save up at least 8000 (if you can) and go for jugg first. Then buy a gun (preferably the MP40) THEN go for the box. But usually I'll have 8000 points by round 5-6. Thats IF I get my drops in the beginning rounds. Usually the drops go like this...nuke, insti-kill, double points, then max ammo. I know it's random, but this is how it's been working for me lately on every game.

Do You Believe Woods Will Be In Black Ops Sequel?
ZombicidalManiac replied to TheProblem's topic in Black Ops
Not unless it's a prequel. Woods got BLOWN UP!!! lol -
I'm in the middle of a game and have thought...
ZombicidalManiac replied to jimbob200521's topic in Call Of The Dead
Explosives like the grenades, semtex, and Matroyshka dolls seem to do the trick. Also, PhD Flopper DOES surprisingly take his health down quite fast. I take him to the back of the lighthouse too...where Stamin-up is. Thats a good spot to say goodbye to George...at least, for a round or two. -
This is what it says on Treyarchs official Black Ops site dated: May 16, 2011 There's some racket coming from below, and once that beam starts shining, it just can't seem to keep a steady rotation. Rumors have leaked in concerning access to an underground passage, but as of yet they're unconfirmed. A zipline runs from the top of the building, but the crew just can't seem to get it up and running. This will definitely need some more exploring. Exploration It's not every day you get a set like this, and we want you to make the most of it. We're not giving away all our secrets, so it's up to you to take these tips and see what's out there! Head over to the forums to share your discoveries with other fellow zombie players, and comment below to let us know how your takes are coming out. http://www.callofduty.com/intel/465 The zipline thing is probably about opening the boat where the semtex grenades are...thats how you open the zipline on the light house. But the part about "theres some racket below...rumors have circulated about an underground passage" part might be talking about the original characters in the room...but that doesn't explain the underground passage...it only explains the racket (noise) below. So is there more to this map or has everything been found out already? I really hope there is more to this map because I just got it and already did the solo easter egg and I'll be doing the co-op easter egg soon with a friend. Now I'm thinking it's all over and theres nothing left to do....please someone tell me I'm wrong. Also, the guy on the "Inside XBox" video for Call of the Dead said "Shoot everything with different guns and you may be surprised by what you find. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FO_Z-gu880I

oh cool. Good to know. Thanks man.

Wow thanks Alpha. So I guess the Wonder Waffe isn't as great as I previously thought. Or the DG-3 for that matter. That was still a great game you had though. With Escalation coming out on Friday and Call of the Dead having the DG-2....I can only wonder if the same rules apply. I know you can't PaP the DG-2 in CotD, but I wonder if the same thing happens if you zap yourself....I hope not....by the way, [brains] to you sir.

Leaked Information Concerning Map Pack 3: MPUI_SILO - Conflict erupts near Soviet missile silos. Lots of close engagements and flank routes.. (Silo) MPUI_AREA51 - This map does not exist.. MPUI_FIREBASE - Rumble in a Firebase.. (Museum) If this is the coding for Map Pack 3, then I think we can expect an Area 51 map. I say this because of the "this map does not exist" thing. You know how when the government is lying they just simply say "it doesn't exist" like they did with the real Area 51? Well, that probably what they're doing with this map pack. I would have to assume that with everything thats happened in the storyline, Area 51 is the only place I can think of that would make all the theories correct. I don't know it's just my opinion. By the way I got this coding from a web site...I didn't find it myself.

Oh so if you pack a punch the Wonder Waffe you can zap yourself without losing Jugg? That would be pretty sweet. I always wondered what the point of PaP'ing the Wonder Waffe was...it always seemed to work the same either way. The only difference is that the beam is red instead of blue when you shoot it. I'll have to try that out. Thanks for the tip. I'd give u brains but I just gave some out. I'll get them to you a little later.
-
[brains] to you sir. I didn't know that. Now I'll just have to make sure I don't zap myself with it as much as possible. Whats really bad about it is that you can't buy Jugg again in a solo game because Quick Revive doesn't bring you back to life in the World At War version like it does in Black Ops. So if I zap myself with the Wonder Waffe in a solo game, thats it having Jugg I guess. Thanks for the heads up.

Playing solo gets you many more points than playing co-op. In round 1 I stab them all. Round 2 I stab the fast ones then I let the slow ones line up and shoot through all their legs to maximize points then stab them. Sometimes I get a double points so if there is 6-7 zombies lined up in a straight line, thats almost 120 points per bullet. Then if I'm lucky, I'll get a max ammo and use all that up. By the time round 4 is about to begin, I usually have around 6 or 7 thousand points. I go through the Thompson door, grab the Thompson and turn on the power. Then I stay in the power spot till I have enough points to do stuff. I usually grab Juggernog and Bouncing Betties with my first wave of cash. Then Speed Cola and the box. Then I open the door by the teleporter by the furnace. Then I let another wave come and kill them all and leave a crawler. By round 9 I usually have everything I need to do the catwalk thing for a bit and get up more points. Then I do whatever I want until I'm dead. But for the most part, it has to do with a lot of luck. Sometimes I don't get past round 10 because either the box is being a dick or I don't get many drops. It's always something...it wouldn't be zombies if there wasn't a lot of frustration and luck involved lol
-
The Wonderwaffe couldn't have zapped me because my PaP'd PPSH was out at the time. I was saving my Wonderwaffe ammo for the next round and was going to light them up with my PPSH. This has happened a few times before...but u just reminded me of something I heard about the wonderwaffe canceling out Juggernog. I'm starting to think it's true.

I just finished a game of Der Riese and I had to come here and leave a post about it. It was round 16 and I was fully armed. Just got done using the box and got a PPSH (which I call "Fish" for short.) I had the Wonder Waffe, the Bowie Knife, Monkey Bombs, Bouncing Betties, Juggernog, Speed Cola, Double Tap, and I just pack a punched my Fish. I had one crawler left from the previous round so I could get some weapons. As I'm walking off the platform where the PaP is, I encountered the crawler. I was getting ready to kill it when he swung at my legs killing me instantaniously. One shot. I had Juggernog. I don't get it. I was about to stab it with the Bowie Knife but he swung at my legs and I was trying to back up. All the sudden my screen went red and I was dead. Has anybody ever had this problem? This is like the 5th time this has happened to me. One crawler takes ONE swing at me and I'm dead. I did all the easter eggs...the Fly Trap, Hide and Seek, all radios, and the brick with the letter under it...and I hit 2 of the 3 spinal cords. I was going to hit the third one right after I killed the crawler so I could hear the song while I was blasting zombies away in the next round. I always do all that stuff. The box moved only one time. I don't understand. I was ready to throw my controller but instead I just stared at the screen with a blank look of WTF?! This happens a lot on my game and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with it. I'm on PS3 and it's the original Der Riese on World at War. This is seriously pissing me off because I could have gone so much farther but the game decides when it's time to call it quits...I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO MAKE THAT DECISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if this was mentioned or if it even matters...but the date 1967 was mentioned in the intel on the first comment. Map "Five" takes place between 1961 and 1963 since President John F. Kennedy was shot dead on November 22, 1963.

just a small topic about kino's comic page
ZombicidalManiac replied to luka's topic in Kino Der Toten
Kino Der Toten is the map that they teleport to from Der Riese. Just look at the beginning photo. The two bottom pictures are from Der Riese. They put Nacht Der Untoten, Verruckt, and Shi No Numa on the top row, then on the bottom row it shows the guys in the teleporter on the first picture on the bottom, then it shows you them teleporting...THEN you end up in Kino. When you start the game (Kino) you just land on the teleporter in the front room from Der Riese. The second picture on the bottom is obviously Der Riese because look at the little clock. It's the one that says "you have 20 seconds to link to the mainframe" from Der Riese. -
I looked at my trophies and theres like 5 Call of the Dead trophies on there. One is called "Send the group to paradise" which we all already know is the easter egg. I can't wait till it gets here! :D

Black Ops: A Great Seal Reflection Maybe?
ZombicidalManiac replied to ZombicidalManiac's topic in Black Ops
whoa neat! thanks man. Brains to you:-) Now if I can just figure out what that damn reflection is... -
my Black Ops got the update and the picture for Ascension is fuzzy now...but Call of the Dead isn't in the list of playable maps for me...we're getting close for sure now...I'm getting amped!!!

I've been playing Black Ops on Vetran for the past couple weeks while I'm waiting for Escalation to hit PS3. It's WAAAY hard, but it's loads of fun. Anyway, I've been Easter Egg hunting the entire time and picking up all the intel that I never got to. I've discovered several things. Some I've debunked, some I haven't. Right now I'm on the mission where you play as Hudson trying to get to Mason before he kills Steiner. It's on Rebirth Island...which I guess they used to make map "Five" in zombies. After the mission is complete, you go to a sort of "in-between" section of the stage where Mason is freed from his chair but knocks Hudson out and tries to escape. Mason is woozy and can't walk straight. Upon exploring this portion of the game, I came across a sort of "morgue" part of this map. There are 6 little doors with the sliding slabs to put bodies in. They are numbered 1-6. The second one is wide open. If you look inside, you'll notice the reflection of something. I can't quite make it out. It looks like some sort of Great Seal...but it's very blurry since it's just a reflection. I looked behind me, and there is no such object or seal that could possibly make this reflection. I also looked on the other side of the morgue outside the room door to see if it was just something on the other side of it that the developers didn't care too much about covering up. No, this is there for a reason. If you pause the game on this mission, the mission objective comes up as "9 19 18 4 6 21 17 14 9 19 8 24 17 24 5 13 11 20 15 21 24 11 9 12 8 20 21 10 16 23 4 22 21 4 0 14." This part of the game is kind of haunting...a lot of flashes on screen and lots of little noises and sounds if you listen close. If anybody has experienced anything strange on this stage, or can make out that reflection...please let me know. Much Respect, ZombiCidaL

Most of us played the old maps on W@W, but do you remember..

In Verruckt they talked. The voice sounded like a watered down Dempsey. Much higher in tone and pitch... -
Thats awesome that you had such a great kill streak...although, I don't consider someone quitting their game during the final kill cam a rage quit...a rage quit is more like "during" the game a person quits because they can't get anything done. It does suck that you didn't get to record the game...but it's still not much of a rage quit. You wanna talk rage quit? I'll tell u about rage quitting...I was playing Nacht Der Untoten with 3 other randoms on W@W. They must have been kids because they were following me to every window I went to and tried to kill all my zombies in the first and second round. So I let it slide...no big deal, there will be plenty more zombs to go around in round 3. Finally, in round 5 someone opens the door to the box. So being the generous person I am, I let all three people use the box before me. They all get done and I have enough to use the box twice. The first shot I get a Ray Gun. The second shot I get an MG. So I go out into the other room to help the guys out...only to have the game shut down because someone was mad that I got the good guns...his mic was on and I heard him say "WHAT?! This guy got a Ray Gun already?" Next thing ya know....game over! Now THATS a rage quit.

SNIPERS BEWARE!!! I'm the guy who always finds you...and knifes you. I'm a run-and-gunner...usually I break out my AUG with my extended mag and my red dot site....once you give away your position, IT'S OVER 4 YA!!! haha The perks I usually use are marathon...so I can run to you faster Flak Jacket...so the claymores you put at the door of your camping site won't do anything to me except make my screen red for a few seconds... and finally, warlord...so I can have two attachments. You say sniper? I say snipe away. I love snipers. I know all the sniping spots in most maps. Of course, once Escalation comes out for PS3 I'll have to learn the sniping spots again...but once I figure that out...it's over. I already know most of the camping sites on Hotel because I play that one on my friends XBox 360. Most snipers hang out in that window across from the far building. Oh yea....snipe away Mr. Sniper...I'll ALWAYS find you....mwahahahhahahaha btw...this is just me being goofy so don't anybody go and take me all seriously like. I like to have fun, and I really do like taking out snipers...I honestly have NO problem with anybody sniping...like you said, it's all part of the game. Much Respect, ZombiCidaL

Der Riese; Girl in the sky and and something else
ZombicidalManiac replied to STOTTINMAD's topic in Classic Maps
Der Riese is actually a pretty spooky map. Every time I play it I notice something weird going on whether it be a strange sound or a faint image...like a ghost. -
Classic Maps put into Map-Pack for Black Ops.
ZombicidalManiac replied to Turbodude917's topic in Classic Maps
I had W@W and bought the map pack bundle a while back for about $25. I saw an interview with Treyarch and the interviewer actually asked if they were going to release the original zombie maps on Black Ops...they said only if Activision allows it. It's all red tape and paper work to Activision. Anyway, if they were allowed by Activision to release the original maps as a DLC bundle pack, it would probably be in the range of $15...considering the map bundle for W@W was $25 and that had 3 zombie maps and about 10 multiplayer maps. -

ZombicidalManiac replied to Turbodude917's topic in Classic Maps
I think it's unfair that the title of your post is mis leading...I thought you were gonna give information about how to get the W@W maps for BO without buying Prestige or Hardened. I do feel your pain though...I would love it if I didn't have to keep switching discs every time I wanted to play a W@W zombie map. The ONLY reason I pop in W@W is to play the zombie maps. Black Ops is in my PS3 most of the time so it would be nice if I could have all the maps in one...but I don't like the fact that the Browning M1919 and the MG aren't in the Black Ops versions....at least thats what I heard. Thats one of the reasons I'd rather play W@W because I'm not much of a fan of the BO guns.
