[PS3] Freeze issue @ every zombie-mode
ZombicidalManiac replied to Tjeerd's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I had the same problem. I bought the hardened edition on Nov. 13th and it froze up everytime I played anything. In zombies, I'd get an audio glitch. Sounded like a helicopter on crack. Finally I just went back to Gamestop and told the guy about it. He said "yea, PS3 really got the shitty end of the stick this time around. Activision and Treyarch really hate that system." So I said well can I get a new game then? He said "it's not going to stop the freeze or lag or audio glitch." I said so what! I payed 80 bucks for this shit and it's pissing me off. So he gave me a new copy of the game and I haven't had any problems since. -
Treyarch Movie Hints In Zombies

I didn't know that. I'll have to check it out. Thanks:) -
Treyarch Movie Hints In Zombies
ZombicidalManiac replied to ZombicidalManiac's topic in General Zombies Discussion
There's also a movie from the 80's called "They Live" with Rowdy Roddy Piper which has HIS catch phrase in the movie, which is "I came here to do two things. Kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum!" haha so maybe Duke Nukem got that phrase from that movie too. -
Treyarch Movie Hints In Zombies
ZombicidalManiac replied to ZombicidalManiac's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You should built this thread as a library on all the references in which 3arc draw from. Thanks for all the information here my friend. KICK ASS!!! That's so cool that Treyach throws that kind of stuff in the games. It makes it so much cooler to play and discover things. -
Treyarch Movie Hints In Zombies
ZombicidalManiac replied to ZombicidalManiac's topic in General Zombies Discussion
hahaha it's awesome to discover things like this! I was just sittin there watching Die Hard and I kind of lost concentration because I was talking at the time. Then I heard the noise and was like "wait a minute!!! that sounds familiar!!" Love those Indiana Jones references. I'm not totally sure this is a nod to the movie in some way shape or form...but it's fun to figure this stuff out lol. It could just be a random noise that was used in several things...or it's a nod to the movie. I'm hoping it's a nod because lets face it...Die Hard is a KICK ASS Flick! -
Ok I know a lot of you already know about the Back to the Future reference and the Simpsons reference (though that wasn't in zombie mode) and a few others. But today I just noticed another one. Black Ops 1 had the hacker device which could open doors for 200 points instead of the usual 750 pts, 1000 pts, or 1250 pts. It opened doors for us yes, among the other 10,000 things you could use it for. But I was watching Die Hard today and I heard the same noise I heard in Black Ops Zombies Moon map while using the hacker to open up a door. Take a listen for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUOXn9b8dkg Now compare that to the noise of the hacker opening up a door in Moon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgzScAVn9-A Another thing I'd like to point out is the classic M1911 used in Black Ops 2. It's the one from WaW. Black Ops had a shiny silver M1911 and WaW had the black one. Now Black Ops 2 is using the M1911 that was used in WaW instead of the cleaner shinier looking one from Black Ops 1. World At War M1911 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9ovG3EG0J8 Black Ops M1911 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mxcleg75wI Black Ops 2 M1911 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDfsLFPuL-A By the way, I just grabbed 3 vids off youtube to show u guys the differences between the guns. I don't have any rights to the videos because they aren't mine. Just throwing that out there. But why the change back to WaW style? Is it becaues it was easier to put into the game? Or is it because Treyarch are letting us know that we're going back to the old days of zombie slaying? Or is it just something that probably wasn't supposed to be notcied because it's such a small minor detail and it means nothing? Regards, ZombiCidal

Wow those ARE coordinates in the PaP room!!! We might just be going to Japan like you said! But my money is still on Germany. There's something about those zombies that remind me of German zombies. But I will say, there is a LOT of evidence pointing to Japan. So my guess is swaying back and forth now lol.
-
Some video points that way out thre but I'm not sure its legit. Is it a theory vid? Because a lot of folks were talking about going to Atlantis or Paris. I'm just guessing here, but I think we're going to Germany. Not because of the title being half German..but because Germany is where it all started. And just to point out, I don't think that Die in Die Rise is German for The. I think it's just an English title. Like Die/Rise. It could also be a new mode. Where you die, then rise back to life as a zombie. But yea, I'm thinking we'll be enjoying some classic style maps soon. Hopefully this is one of them.

I'm shooting for Breslau Germany. And I have a feeling we might be seeing the Original 4 on this map. Just a hunch.

Season Pass? Or Wait It Out?
ZombicidalManiac replied to ZombicidalManiac's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks guys, I've been contemplating this for a while now. It's good to hear what others think about it. I think I'm gonna wait it out...not for the last DLC to be free or anything, but just because it wouldn't surprise me if Treyarch gave something extra to the H.E. buyers because so far there has been no reason to have bought the hardened edition so far. Except for the two shiny coins I got with it lol -
I'm posting this in the zombie section because...well, that's all I play. Anyway, I bought the hardened edition of Black Ops 2 and got the Nuketown 2025 and Nuketown Zombies map with it. Turns out that those who buy the season pass get Nuketown Zombies anyway...that's cool, more people to play with. BUT!!! Given that I've already got the hardened edition, and last Treyarch CoD game hardened edition buyers got the last DLC for free, should I buy the season pass? Will it be worth spending $50 for the season pass after I already spent $80 for the hardened edition...not knowing if I'll get the last DLC for free? It's really only a matter of $5. If I buy the season pass, I spend $50. But if I don't, and have to pay for the last DLC, I pay all $60. Basically, do u guys think the last DLC will be free this time for those who bought the hardened edition? Or do u think they created the season pass because they're NOT giving the last DLC for free? Or should I just stop being a cheap bastard? Actually, scratch that last option...I think I'll remain a cheap bastard given how much I've already spent on this game lol.

Uuuuuuuuugh....being a PS3 owner is so hard sometimes! So I'm guessing that XBOX gets it in late January to mid February. Then everybody else gets it a month later. HERE WE GO AGAIN!! lol. But that DIE RISE thing looks like it could be 2 maps maybe. One for TranZit and one survival map? I dunno. But if it's ONE map, I think we're looking at some sort of prequel to Der Riese or maybe Der Riese at a later time. Awesome!!!

Thank you PINNAZ. With Treyarch knowing there'd be many more people playing zombies this time around, it's possible that they could have just added certain things for fun. But us die hard fans of the series are ALWAYS going to look deep into the depths of the mode. So maybe Treyarch is just trying to make everyone happy. But I still look deep. And I don't know much (if anything) about programming a game, but I think it would be easier for the programmers to remove the work benches rather than place a tarp over them. Again, I know little to nothing about how to program a game. So I wouldn't know. But I'd imagine that removing the work benches would be easier than adding new textures and things by placing tarps over them.
-
Why is anyone still talking about this? The person who posted that information said it was fan made himself. He made that stuff up, and posted it to the Activision forum. So I don't understand what the debate is all about. I for one think that person has a great imagination and I'd love to hear similar ideas from fans of the series.

Oh yea MMX Richtofen does talk a lot during Grief which may imply that the CDC/CIA stuff occurs afterwards. I'm gonna do a full on analysis of these maps soon...just to see if I can find any clues anywhere. Yea Tac, Green Run boggles my mind. I can't figure anything out. It was so much simpler in BO. Maybe time will come into play again. Any maybe these characters we play as in TranZit will wind up being from a lot of different era's in time. There's a thread on here about it somewhere. Could these things actually be following the campaign in terms of time? Could this be our world in 2025 if Richtofen gets his way?
-
I was thinking after as well, but if you play the survival maps, there's a tarp over the work benches. During a zombie apocalypse, I'd imagine that putting a tarp over work benches is pretty far off the list of things to do. So perhaps the survival maps take place before TranZit. Though I could be way off, and the survival maps have nothing to do with the story what so ever. But it would be a first for Treyarch to put out a survival map that had nothing to do with the story...besides Dead Ops Arcade.

New Easter Egg Information! New Zombie Team!
ZombicidalManiac replied to De4d Throne's topic in TranZit
Lmao, best thing in this thread THIS!!! My thoughts exactly. I wonder if she bit her tongue!!! -
The survival maps we play on Green Run aren't played with the 4 characters from TranZit, rather they are played by the CDC and CIA. With that said, we know these are the characters we use in Nuketown Zombies. So we know that Nuketown Zombies takes place during Moon (because Treyarch said so) but when do the survival maps from Green Run take place? Before or after TranZit?

New Easter Egg Information! New Zombie Team!

Green run is traversing different levels of space and time
ZombicidalManiac replied to Zamininc's topic in TranZit
I really like the idea of a twilight zone effect with TranZit. The fog separates time's and places. Maybe that's why the T and the Z are capitalized. Twilight Zone! lol -
Written Guide to Tower of Babble EE - Updated for 2 players
ZombicidalManiac replied to way2g00d's topic in TranZit
I don't wanna beat a dead horse here, nor do I wanna start a new thread about it. So I decided to post this question here. Has anyone tried surviving in Nacht Der Untoten for a bunch of rounds after the EE has been completed on either side? Maxis has a quote about returning to such a beautiful place (or something like that.) Anyway, just a thought. -
Nacht Der Untoten area could be a facade...
ZombicidalManiac replied to ninezerowill's topic in TranZit
I like where you guys are going with all this. There could be many reasons why Nacht is in Green Run. One of the MANY reasons COULD be to show us how much zombies have grown. A map inside a map. They could have fit all the WaW maps in Green Run. Probably even most of the BO maps too. So I see it as Treyarch saying "look guys, this map is huge. Now you can compare the size of Green Run to a previous map." -
Wait....what? this whole post seems very strange. Also, you said your son showed you the tweets...but you spelled it "sun." Now don't take offence to this, but grammar is kind of important if you want to be taken seriously. I know a lot of people don't agree with that, but for me at least, it shows that your educated enough to think inside AND outside the box. Not the mystery box...just the box.

Anyone else want to play as the O4?
ZombicidalManiac replied to Marty Mcdempsey's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'd like a map with a character from each group. If I had to choose a team of 4 with the characters we have from each map, it'd go like this... Tank Dempsey (from the O4) Michael Rooker (from CotD) JFK (from "Five.") Marlton (from Green Run) And just so no females get offended, Sarah Michelle Gellar or Misty could take the place of Marlton if desired. -
With the exception of Verruckt and Der Riese, I wouldn't worry about times and dates too much. We're dealing with an alternate universe here. The WaW zombie maps actually took place in the 40's, but when they started messing with time travel and blowing up Earth, time frames became irelevant because nothing in the zombie universe panned out the way WE see things today. When you start playing with time travel, you start to tamper with time. And when you tamper with time, you tamper with WHEN's. Like, if the Earth was hit by missiles in the 60's, then we wouldn't have had 70's disco, or 80's hair bands. Oh and technology. So who's to say when ANYTHING is happening now because the weapons could have been made at ANY time. Like in The Walking Dead, Dale was the only one who actually kept tabs on time...because it doesn't matter anymore when there's hourdes of zombies trying to eat your face.
