  1. "Little Nickolai are you alright?" "Yes papa" Nikolai after hit by a crawler "This place is too loud. Maybe if I plug my ears and hum song. dadadadadaDA dadadadadaDA dadadadashleydalow! Fuck." Nikolai, spawn at 51. "Now I can go home and tell seventh wife I make double points! ...And about new girlfriend." Nikolai at 2x "This sucks harder than sixth wife!" Nikolai @ Gersh
  2. I assume there is also a config in waw. Have a look at it, maybe you find something. viewtopic.php?f=49&t=20660
  3. Good thread! I'd also add some other records. First room challenge, NML Pap Time, NML Kills without Jug, stuff like that. So we have all in one thread and if you wanna try to beat a record you can refer to this place.
  4. Those two PAp'd are pretty cool Especially the Python, lots of fun when you go for headies with it.
  5. 42 Ascension coop, June 2011. Oh yeah, I was asking myself if I'm pro now. The other game was the 100 on Ascension, that brought a similar feeling. Weird is, my coop record, which was kinda taken today with hands on Moon, is a total opposite. I'm rather thinking "I suck" right now. Cause downs were, well, they were present.
  6. The real question is imho how to get the feel to slash in a way that you do not pick up drops.
  7. For some reason it is super rare, that you cannot afford the sickle at the end of round 5. Of course, you wanna go for headies with the M14. As also said, go for some few knife finishes with the headless at 3. I seriously had no probs with the points. I think only in one run I couldn't afford the sickle, but just restarted there, and in the other 10 runs it was np. In case you don't have enough points for the Ray from the box, just try to do something with your AR or LMG you got, otherwise as said "Evil Box = Restart".
  8. That's already very interesting information way. My assumption so far is, that the higher the round, the lower the chance of monkeys. But there seems to be more to it. 0 monkeys withing 12 drops i had today, I don't know.
  9. This is neither gameplay nor story, but I think stuff like this rather goes to story :?:
  10. I'm really curious, where do you not agree?? I'm kinda very self-confident, that I have very awesome arguments to decline your disagreement : O
  11. Hello. I made a speed run guide, showing a full gameplay speed run on Ascension. I've tried to keep all the tips in general, so that you can adapt this strategy for other maps. The speed run is not executed perfectly, so that you can actually set it as your challenge, to make this even faster.
  12. My goal is to meet some people. It is always fun to see some newbies, that make you rage. It is fun, to see others rage. It is fun to meet new friends, and and and. I'm currently not following a strategic goal, but there is always some stuff coming up. For example I kinda would like to to 2ml again with hands or try the shangri (ak/mpl door closed) strategy and the moon recbay coop strategy and moon (11/recbay) 2ppl strategy, just stuff like this.
  13. Hey. As we know, sometimes monkeys attack your drop, sometimes not. Someone knowing when exactly they come and when not? I just got not a single monkey from rounds 35-37, what made me quite raging, cause i wanted to tape something. Do we have a overall monkey limit? Like after 20 monkey kills it's over? Maybe a relation to the gun you kill with?
  14. Meh, I don't play for leaderboards.
  15. Just do not tele when everything is blocked Or get the hacker before tele. In case you are still blocked, use teleportation by Astro, Gersh or QED. But as hand's said, would be interesting to know if the astro will not appear anymore at this point [a way to get rid of him would be epic, especially with hand's spawn strategy]
  16. Yes, those blocking-my-path-dogs in Riese. Exactly what I hate in Riese, maybe what makes it to one of my least favorites. Of course I'm pretty alone with this opinion. But a Napalm or Shrieker, common, cool additions the game. They can be used as a cool trap to kill additional zombies and just take away the monotony. But what is more important? Feel is aboslute important for me, but it is too individual what feel is. Content is also a must for me, new challenges, new devices and interactive things, yeah. But where is the boundary? Those excavators on Moon are in some way content. But they also just give me the feel on the map. So for what shall I vote now??? It's feel, cause it's the more general expression, and it's including content. My point is just, i like new content, that offer more feel. Some are annoying, some are cool. But any content, that is annoying, needs mostly just a strategy to deal with it. For example, everybody complains about the lack of ammo and everybody complains about the annoying gas crawlers. But instead of getting the idea, that a single killed nova gas crawler kill can basically hit 23 other normal zombies is not discussed. Therefore, the more options you have in the game, the better. The more content the better. The more content, the more feel. But as said, it's just too individual. E.g. Riese has zero feeling here. Whereas this awesome jungle look from Shangri, or this Antarktis look in COTD, aww, that is feel. George annoying? Well, get a strategy for him and you're feel is back...
  17. It is imho not worth it. By my experience... It is so much not worth it. I catch myself running around with no more then Jug+QR, cause I cannot decide what perks I need. I think perks, that are not blue in solo or red, are actually overrated. Therefore, I do not give a sh, when monkeys take some of my perks, cause you can just rebuy em. And 4 perks is way enough for me on Ascension, so I rather have Box and Pap and everything available, and I rather will not invest a lot of time to work with claymores and stuff. But for challenges, it's very fun to have all perks the whole game!
  18. I'd say - including: -No box hit, no time wasting by buying perks, not riding a single lander etc -E.g. Thief rounds enabled very early, since power in 1. Or monkeys are chased with noclip, which is superfaster. -Kill on sight (groups of 1) all the time, deathmachine 1-30, unlimited thunder/gersh whatever 30-50 -Be in absolute fastest area in this game [which is probably some spawn room without any door opened (we have noclip)] -Map with fast boss round (FIVE! but FIVE has no thunder, dammit!!) Hmmm.... Maybe Riese with onewindow glitch (would need to test)? Otherwise yeah, ascension spawn very good choice. 1h15min Definitely less then 1h30. But i think less then 1h is too hardcore. You will in no way reach more than 80 kills/minute in 50 (
  19. This makes more sense, yeah. Hehe.
  20. I love your threads and posts, jay! Wanted to give you brains for this, but it says 'must spread reputation' already, what normally happens only on the big names on this board. I actually thought about opening a similar topic. Cause I cannot go to 300 in NML, no matter how much of chopper's, ehj's and super's and other videos I watch. And all they say is always "just practice". I mean what should you practice? The wrong thing over and over again? Nobody will ever say "how to practice". I think most of the guide creators do not really know, how well their guides can be adapted. If you just 'see' this certain thing it needs or if you don't 'see' it. It is really hard to give execution tips. I have some idea, how you could practice, but this works only on pc and would be with demigodmode. I think important is also to 'vary' things a bit. Bit earlier nade here, bit later shooting there, bit stretching the path here, and shooting with the M&S a bit more on top, bit more on the ground, jump while shooting to check a different angle.... and suddenly you find something working better then the thing you did before. What I recommend for you in NML is, go up to moon, get some good perk and guns, especially wave gun + (points for) Jug. Then go back to NML and run those trains for 20 min, save yourself with the Wave when necessary and continue. Like so, you do not die all the time and do not have to restart. Another thing maybe working well is go to a awesome coop lobby, and play up to round 40 or 50. Always stick to the same area, the favorite area of yours, where you are alone (!). Doing the same thing over and over again will just burn it into your head. And you will notice each detail of the zombies behaviour by time. It will just give some kind of routine. You will by time be able to say 'oh, too close here, now i get a hit' before you actually get this hit. I think its better to understand one area perfectly, then being able to run "just somehow it's working" in multiple areas. You will always focus on "oh shit, ran into a corner, need to avoid this corner". But this corner stuff is not what is essential. Essential is all this little zombie behaviour. Once you know the zombies, you just see an area the first time and you run a good circle in there. Without testing you see if a cutback is possible, if a dodging is possible and so on, and you'll take the best decision, although you never were in this area before. What you think how I made "Kino Circling - Additions and Extensions?" Was I ever running in this MPL Area before?? No, but I record it and am so freaky to behave like I totally check it... Narrow here, narrow there, cutback working like so, best path will be like so, spawn here and there, problem in this and that narrow spot, doing what i call "wait&dodge" at this and that spot and bang you now the best circle without even tried it once. Therefore, my final tip is: Practice with a good setup first in a circle of your choice and do the same thing over and over again, till you noticed the last little detail of the game mechanics. Do it at least twice up to Round 50+, maybe best in solo. Best do it to 100, 10hours+ in a row. Even better, be able to do it with closed eyes. (that would be youtube sensation) Then I think you can start to adapt this knowledge into other areas / guns / perks and so on, including NML. You will suddenly notice stuff like how terrible a LMG without Stamin Up in a small circle is. Just because you have this 'reference', you know that you died cause you ran too slow. Without this reference, you would just have another down that you do not understand and that you cannot learn of.
  21. I normally keep them up to approximately 40 too. You wanna go to 50 in 60min??? How is that supposed to be possible?
  22. I can make good use of that. Thank you a lot.
  23. MPL and 74u are probably the most famous and liked trains out there. I never tried either with the door closed, but a very very - very - good idea. Next time I'm doing a 2ppl highround attempt I'll suggest to use that strategy, at least up to 30-35-40. Later you might anyway start to merge, depending on how well it works with the ammo supply from the monkeys. I'm really wondering how those areas work with those doors closed. In some way, I could imagine it even getting harder.... Need to test it I'd suggest just to restart as long as the Pap stone is in this tunnel, when you wanna do it with this door closed. Then just pap only once after you got your final gun setup.
  24. Well, just came by it today, and I guess I used it the first time not for the easter egg. It seems that it makes the zombies fall down and stand up again... uff... lame.
  25. Only the most awesome players stop at 99 and do not go to 100 (and suicide with a full thunder) Congrats, big respect!
