  1. [*:gj3km83t]Read lots of news about this mysterious COD series going on... (never played any) [*:gj3km83t]Thought, damn have to try that out. [*:gj3km83t]Downloaded the game [*:gj3km83t]Was ok [*:gj3km83t]Played Zombies [*:gj3km83t]Was.... OMG wtf, damn, jesus, wtf, yooooooo. The cracked version had the Zombies locked. I played always the last mission completely thru, cause it would bring me directly towards FIVE, which was the only way at this cracked stuff. [*:gj3km83t]Didn't know what all that stuff is - perks and traps and so, so I watched some youtube video. [*:gj3km83t]What? There is multiplayer? Awwwesome, I need, I like. [*:gj3km83t]Bought the game (I download most stuff, but will also buy most later in case it's good) [*:gj3km83t]Enjoying 1200 hours of gameplay.
  2. As you might have noticed, whenever the most hardcore gameplay experts/tacticians/strategiests answer, the thread might me better located in the strategy/gameplay section. However ideas for game improvement do not specificly belong to gameplay, although this one is gameplay related. [sry I'm just working hard on getting people aware of the new section] == I like the basis of the idea. However, it makes so much no sense to hit that purple box. Just hit the normal box, and pap, and you have the same result. Rather interesting for me would be something, that might give you a chance of getting something that you cannot get from the normal box, whatever that might be. With some tweaking, a very good idea!
  3. More like nothing will kill them past 60 but the t-gun. You can kill a horde with about two clips of the ray gun or m&s in the 50s and since they spawn in so fast double tap and speed cola is a very good choice to use when trying to get a max ammo, so you get them killed off before they respawn. Good point, in 40-50, maybe -60, Tap might become interesting again, just for use with the Ray. I might actually try this out next time I play Ascension or something in those rounds and do not own the thunder.
  4. And also nice for remembering: Tunnel 11 is at this door-side, that leads to tunnel 11. Tunnel 6 is at this door-side, that leads to tunnel 6. And Dome is also there So when I have to hack 6 or dome, I wanna go thru tunnel 6, cause I'm just there then. And when I have to hack 11, I will take 11 in case it's open, or I'll just know I have to run to the other side when I come from 6. Just in addition: Also for example the landers on Ascension are marked by signs. They are just to give them a name. Instead of A, B, C it is just some Russian letters or some Greek ones ;)
  5. Does someone still have 100% accurate no mistakes measurements solo till 100? I'd like to try some stuff. There are in general two methods to get a formula. First method will deliver a curve (a formula) that fits your measurements a 100 percent. But when you input 100 measurement points, you will have a formula like ax^99 + bx^98 + .... So you would max give it maybe up to 5 points (like every 20 rounds). Example: The other is called, well I don't know in English. But what it does is you enter more points then your formula can mathematically fit. What the method does it fits those measurements as good as possible. Example: Now this first formula we had, that was accurate: I think the creator stopped his measurements at 40 or something, but the formula of course goes on. Since no measurements 40+ were done, the formula cannot respect them and will therefore get inaccurtate in the high rounds. But now, when you look at it anyway: Single player =0.0842 * ®^2 + 0.1954 * ® + 22.05 or Z1=0.09x2+0.0081x+23.388 Why should 3arc choose such dumb numbers? I'd like to see if I can find something.
  6. IIn very small trains, where you have a very short time to shoot, it is a must have for me. I love it. In bigger trains, I will usually not buy it and rather prefer something else, like Mule Kick or Stamin Up or something. This is because i have enough time to empty a full clip of the AK74u within one continuous shooting. Then I do not feel as I need it or that it would speed stuff significantly up.
  7. I love your NML videos. They are so smoothly played. Not so panic style like others. I might steal this first nade from you :)
  8. Hi I just thought about how friendly fire would affect the game(play). What do you think about it? As we know, you hurt yourself with explosives, traps and by falling. It works quite well. I think friendly fire would work well too in the game. It is not really hard to avoid shooting others. But you will no longer be able to shoot with your M&S without care at a foreign train spot, cause you might kill that player. Making everything bit harder and more interesting. It would also be more realistic. I guess it would be a very small change in the gameplay, cause you normally anyway don't shoot other players. Overall, I would like it. Now you gonna say, there will be lots of teamkilling. Might be, so what about ricochet fire?
  9. I'd appreciate some unrealistic guns - well its not so unrealistic though. Thinking of the Rail Gun from Quake ]I[ Arena, with inf damage, going through unlimited amount of zombies, used as a wunderwaffe. Shoots 115 projectile at near light speed. Due to low ROF it's not suitable as a defensive life safer. To kill a max wave, they must be arranged in a perfect line, which is not easily done. But the gun gives you bit more ammo. Similar to the Quake Gun, you shoot, and without delay everything withing the railed projectile is just some feet and hands flying around. Pretty funny. 0F1dicLmPsc Clip: 5 Reserve: 20 Damage: inf Able to hit more than 3 zombies. RoF: 30 RPM Papped: Clip: 10 Reserve: 40 Damage: inf Able to hit more than 3 zombies. RoF: 60 RPM
  10. Good job! Maybe interesting could also be to involve the ammo buying costs from wallguns. So that you would say for example, with the MP5k you get 3600 for an investment of 500, so a win of 3100. (720%) And important for me would be the time. I mean for example, the M14 would deliver you 2880 points for investing 250, which is a return of 1152%. But you will anyway have a better points-per-time ratio with the mp5k. So for me its just, a good point giving gun is: fully auto, nice fire rate, nice ammo count, optionally rebuyable ammo. But for certain challenges, where time doesn't matter, this might be very interesting. For example, when you need max points fast in first room without max ammos, you see that you actually wanna buy the m14, and not the olypmia. Now I'm not agreeing with the wunderwaffes. The freezegun doesn't do infinite damage. And for the Thundergun and the Wavegun (Wave, not Zapper), the points within one shot are calculated as: 1. zombie killed: 50 pts 2. zombie killed: 30 pts 3. - 24. zombie killed: 10 pts. Example, you kill a group of 5 zombies, you'll get 50+30+10+10+10 points. This results then in 300 points per max wave, respectively per shot. So for the thunder for example, you would actually have 600/3600 or upgraded 1200/7200. I think these numbers are quite interesting. So you empty the thunder, upgrade it, empty it again. Then you have a balance of: 4200 -5000 +8400 ===== 7600 resulting in the fact that you can afford only 8 box hits, till you would theoretically be at 0 in your balance again. But de facto, you will just use your secondary to make points, have some gershes, some nades... ;)
  11. If there was one, someone would have found it meanwhile. I guess you can be pretty sure that there is none.
  12. I stream almost all my game-play. The website automatically saves your videos and whoever doubts it can be redirected to those videos. Some sites only temporarily save your videos, but there are ways to save them forever. Ex: Twitch lets you save your videos forever. Yepp then you can be 100% sure. But I was referring to those men, that just upload a little footage. @slippery, very good arguments.
  13. There is never a 100% sureness about Rounds 100+. I mean when I show Rounds 50 60 70.....140 150 160 and 162, it seems legit. But I still can write a script and hack the game, so that it skips round 51-59, 61-69, .... 151-159 etc. What I thought about was, some random guy should say one two three rounds, that he wants to see. Let's say, hands says 'i got to 161 and recorded it'. Maybe Rampage says "ok, I wanna see rounds 24 89 and 154". That's imho a pretty sure way to exclude general cheating. But who records a 40hours gameplay all the way through? The prob is that not skill makes it - if you can do round 50, you can also do round 200. The question is, if you have the patience to concentrate that long. And how do you wanna show patience over 40 hours in a 5min footage? So at some point you just need to accept what the player gives you. Showing 5min of every 10rounds is imho something I would accept. When he shows every 10th round at full length I wouldn't even watch it, that's way too long In the end, I see huge probs deciding what is legit and what not. The man at Rank 2 will always find a little reason that allows him to say "Rank 1 is not legit!!"
  14. Good guide. I recommended to do it similar like you said in the very beginning. But meanwhile I don't care anymore too much about that stuff. You can activate power at 10 and have pi & wave & qed & gersh ready at 11, or you can activate power at 1 and get no Pi till 30. Screw this random shit. But of course, chances are better for an early pi with your method. What I recommend nowadays is, play absolutely normal until everything is ready. I hate preparing for the egg and then get disappointed, maybe even restarting the game. I hate it. Same when people do color games and so very early, and you have to wait and loose killing fun time. They hack all doors so they have more pts for the box, they tele just to get some kills and points for the box, they hack the box even in power.... Very good for an early egg, but you wait and wait and wait. And 10 rounds later, there is still no Pi, host disconnects, and you have lost a 30min of preparation time for nothing. As an example: I played with hands 2 days ago. We planned to do the easter egg. And what we did was... nothing, no color game. Cause we waited for Pi first. Of course Pi didn't go off. After 40 min or something at Round 21, his game crashes. But the game was cool. It would not have been cool, if we did the color game, the hacking, the box raping till we would have QED/Gersh/Wave, and if I had to say that it was 10min play and 30min EE preparation time. Then, I'd become angry. But now I can say, it was fun to rape zombs for 40min. So that is why I do not recommend specific easter egg work or specific easter egg playing style, this map can give you a huge kick in the ass at anytime. If it gets too hard in 20+ to fill the tubes, I recommend to let just one player do it, having the other 3 somewhere else. The one at the pyramid doesn't get that many zombs then. With a proper gun, such as Ray or Wave, he'll probably do it easily. Or that one person can also start to run a slow train around the pyramid, working very well too, even without wonderguns. I rather see the problem in people going down whereever and whenever, making it necessary to tele all the time to rebuy jug, which costs a lot of time.
  15. Thank you smooth, and sorry aegis. The main post is now updated. I added a category, so we have now 'true myths', 'wrong myths' and new 'stuff i am not sure about'. So everything you say is now in there, including the sprinting rage zombies. I also added 2 new videos, including the window breaker, including a disappearing Q.E.D. glitch.
  16. Do not misunderstand me please. I'm very happy for any contribution. I checked youtube about that, as well google. I only found one person talking about this effect in another forum, which is not enough for me. So I just wanna see it myself first. It's the reason why I tested this thing. It is likely that I've thrown QED's inside the labs, making the spinning ray gun destroy the windows, so that would then be the explanation why I didn't get this effect anymore later on. It is just that huge load of wrong information, that made me being so doubtful about anything I haven't seen with my own eyes. I mean for example, the Wiki would say you can get a Wunderwaffe or something. Of course its not worth buying a card just for something like that. Overall, it doesn't mean that I don't believe you or trust you. It is just someone said there is the green perk bottle, although he didn't see it, he probably might have overrun it. As we now know, there is NO green perk bottle, but there are free perks. It's a detail but you know, lots of wrong info. The first zombie count forumla.. wrong. Power ups every 2000 cumulative points, in some way true, but here a bit modification, 2ppl 3ppl 4ppl a bit modificated, a bit random stuff in there... In the end you can forget those 2000 points, all truth was just that drops are point based.
  17. I like to go with Stamin Up for LMG's, because you walk so slow with them.
  18. I have a hard time believing you without a video proof... Sometimes you can be close to misunderstand an effect. Like a nade exploding can maybe disturb the zombies quickly, making you think they sprint now crazier than before, although they don't. Or as it was said, the glitch thing. Most of us have seen a nade just disappear - wait I got a vid for that with a gersh. b83rt34mY8g And then just other glitches. The reason why I am so sceptical is that I didn't have a single window broken at those 1000 throws.... However I'm not saying it can't be, I'm just sceptical But however, whenever an effect is so ultra-rare, I wonder if it is even worth discussing it.
  19. I like the map too. Think it has some kind of bad image, making people just to avoid the map. But this is obviously because the map is not so easy.
  20. I never played WaW, but very interesting to read your experiences ;)
  21. Well, I don't think it's funny or special or so - main thing they die But I have to admit, when I place a claymore and there is just one zombie around, I like to watch how he gets raped while I can already enjoy my drink or something.
  22. Welcome to the board. Very nice post, have some starting [brains] I'd like to ask you a question: Why do you need so many points by Round 10?
  23. I disagree. I think the maps are super versatile. I mean, what can you do? Day and Night, Indoors and Outdoors, Tundra and Normal and Jungle and Desert (hey, where's the desert?), and then you are through it... And what does 3arc too, simply goes into space. I am really satisfied with the map variety. It is true, Ascension and Riese, SNN and SL look quite similar. There are surely more things that can be done. What you described is awesome I'm pretty sure that the versatility is one of the strength of 3arc, and we are gonna see stuff like you described. However I think it's nearly impossible to avoid repetitive elements. BTW, that is also why I like the style of FIVE. It seems to be placed in a normal, human environment. I like that it's not 'gorier'. ;)
  24. When I run thru the labs, I'll always get some Nova's in front of me, very often I get completely blocked. At the very begin of a round it might be a bit easier tough, since you have some extra seconds till they start to spawn. I would only run through it, if I have the Wave Gun. Another try could be to throw a gersh inside the labs [breaks windows if too close]. If you want it hard, circle around the center computers, until all the novas and zombies have spawned. Example The most elegant solution is imho just to stick around the pyramid and spend the round there. People can easily revive you by just dropping down the tele, it's very slow there since it's outside, you see the zombs coming from far, it's quite wide and open... Example
