  1. Well, of course is a cool intro cool and not to underestimate. But it is one thing and the whole discussion is now about the intro. Don't misunderstand me, but the channel won't get 100'000 subbers because we have an intro. Shouldn't we also discuss about the concept of the channel? I'm just bringing in this point because I do not yet understand how the channel is supposed to work in the future. How will the channel work and what is its purpose? Who creates content, what will the content be, who records, who comments, who is advertising who and how, how can the channel be promoted. Shall the channel start with BO2 or shall we already start now doing it. How will people send in videos, who are the channel administrators. Who is in charge of this project? Is a partnership planned, and how will be dealt with possible financial aspects? The OP mentioned easter egg guides for example. I think a massive cool thing would be if we had for example a EE investigation team, that competes to .... forgot the guys name ... and basically that we would have the first easter egg guide up and stuff. Community is here, some of us might find a step, and this stuff spreads around like hell. So if only one machinima channel mentions "and then callofdutyzombies.com" found this step here, bling bling, there comes the viewers. So I hope you see my point, I'm rather thinking of advertisment and content. We have the community! Let's say Black Ops 2 comes out, and we are organized. Within less then a few hours, the following stuff could be up our channel. And if so, no one cares anymore what the intro was. The previews looke awesome, I'm not afraid of the intro. What I'm afraid of is that it'll be an unorganized random content channel, and that is lethal for it. All we need is content, and we need it fast and at the right time upped. 2-3-4 horus after BO2 release, we need the following stuff up the channel, and we do not need to worry about intros, views, subbers, or partnership: -have an easter egg guide up for the new BO2 maps (team 1a is doing it, team 1b-1xyz is supporting them with own investigations and watching what others have found) -have a 'story news' video series (team 2: radios, characters, speeches, whatever might be new and relevant) -have a 'gameplay news' video series up (team 3: perks, guns, map layouts.....) All it needs a community. And that is exactly what callofdutyzombies.com is. Goodbye Syndicate, goodbye Machinima, hello callofdutyzombies.com. I'm not talking aobut the deep stuff, that you need to investigate months. For example for the weapons, just do test each gun 2-3minutes, do a lil presentation. Say like "yeah this one shoots quite slow, it seems not to do damage, it seems not to be the ultimate hardcore gun". Just be superficial, but be fast. I'm pretty sure that this is more or less the key for views and subbers, that you do not have to arrange arduously by promotion work. That is my point of view ;)

  3. Hands' your whole pap strategy thing just brought me to 290 kills without really being practiced. I think this speaks for itself. Have some brains (hope I can give you some )
  4. I would say yes if you were on PC Having the same prob here.
  5. A big WOW on this intro. I like it a lot!
  6. Found the motivation, after all the 2ml runs with hands, to try that stuff solo. Well, was worth it, reached 290 after about 100 restarts But what do i need to do differently? So I did hands' 90s pap strat, buy the perk, then I do the circle at this back swamp thing there, which I consider a nice mix between safe and fast. And I end up with 287. I knife a bit till i get bored, land at 290 in the end. So how do I make 300? Or is it in the end just luck if you get 290 or 300+? Here's the vid, it's very low quality without sound and unlisted. Wanna make the 300+ public Damn, NML catched me, shit Just wanna use the opportunity to thank you all guys for all the strategy input and everything. I just copied your strats basically BYGN6Xe1q0Y
  7. People seem to like the font and feel that I used. Maybe build off that? Absolutely. What I like on your intro is the color scheme with the red. The background is very simple, but just epic. All that it needs, lil' unsharp effect and it looks cool. The double rotation u used - each letter rotates and the whole line of text 'rotates in' - look very cool. I like the style of it, with few lil things, an awesome result. What I would work on or how I would improve it, is, I would try to support the effect we have now with supporting layers. I don't know how it looks, but some sparkles flying around of the text before it is actually visible? Like the text coming in out of sparkles/fire or whatever? Another complete overlay that supports the rotate effect of the whole text. Like maybe just a lil very simple color alignment or so rotating in the same way and timing as the text? Maybe a glowing light source, that actually lights up the text? The light source rotating around the text after it's visible? Maybe a full flame coming out of the text, just slightly before all rotations are finished. So people think 'what is that, what is that, what text comes out here', and than 'booooooom' and then its there... callofdutyzombies. And sound, sound dude. Do not underestimate. Just some ideas ;)
  8. Hmmmmmm..... Call me egoistic, but when I work a long time on a video, I also wanna get the prestige for it. I want my video causing 10 20 new subbers for my channel. I don't wanna work 10 hours so I do not get a single new subscribers and nothing. Probably I'm not even aloud to upload the video myself and have to send it a mod first, that will mess up my work and say like "here you need to make it so and here so". The last thing I need is some dude knowing anything better just cause he is the YT Channel administrator. So you become partner, get some money from the channel and stuff, and the actual workers get nothing for it? Are we slaves? So I guess this sounds again like I'm raging here, but I'm of course absolutely not. Just wanna see what you say on this. I'd like to offer some vids with commentary. Some stuff I normally wouldn't do like Easter Egg Guides or so. Or some random commentaries or something. But when I think of a major strategy piece, I probably will not really share it. However when it's about to picture a written strategy from someone else, yeah why not.
  9. I see the NML as a challenge. And I do not like this challenge. I think, my game is specialized while having jug, having PHD with the M&S and so on. And I just do not see the point of NML, cause it is not really relevant to do highscores in later games. I understand, that the challenge is fascinating, it's something else for a time. You got a M&S? Yeah so buy PHD. But not on NML. Zombies go crazy after you? Yeah buy Jug, but not on NML in the beginning. It often tickles me, very often. I think I'm not a bad player, so I think I can compete with those 300+ kills guys. So I give it a try. Well, speed reload appears. OK, another try. It's a bad spawn. OK, another try, damn, speed again. Another try, everything looks good, but I fail. Damn, shit, ok another one. This goes like so for 10 20min, then I think: fuck you, I have better things to do than restarting a game. So my tip is: If you are a NML guy, practice the hell out of it and be patient. But if you are no NML guy like me, just leave it and focus on other things the game offers.
  10. Now let's get clear of it. Point whoring in early rounds - yes or no: On one hand, you set up a good game, absolutely do point whoring. Early bowie/jug/pts for box means an easier game for you. Rounds 1-4 might be a bit harder, but rounds 5+ will be easier. On the other hand, you might rather pick up a nuke midround in 4 or a insta kill or a deathmachine for additional safety or for additional speed of progress. So, it depends on the situation a lot, but also on your personal skills and everything. Can you do a triple cutback with drag outs between the cutbacks in a massive limited path cause the napalm is fucking around, to avoid getting overrun in Round 4 on Shangri? Can you knife everybody 3 times, although you have a massive horde, cause your M1911 is out? Yes? Then do not pick up your nuke. In case you can't, Jesus pick up the nuke, you'll die otherwise. Life is more worth than points. But what we can answer is, how you maximize your points. And we can - by facts - say, that a deathmachine is crap. A midround nuke, total waste of points. An insta kill, discussable. Calling people small thinking cause they have developed another style of play is not really appropriate imho. Now, in the end, we are totally disrespecting lemonades' awesome guide here by "knowing it better". I notice myself how difficult it is to write about points right now. Example: Get the insta, but only in this round, when this and that happened before, but do not get it in case that and this happened, but on the other hand get it again when this and so, and blabla. And anyway, in this kind of game pick it up, but only with randoms do like so, but not before round so, and in case you have this and that gun, do so, and so with the other gun, and..... Seriously, there are many things you can discuss on this guide. But what are you talking about? A "how to max points at the end of round 1, 2, 3, 4, 5?" Or just how to have sufficient points on round 10 or 15 so you can hit the box a few times? Or is it "how to have a good amount of points, but also play very safe"? Are we talking about a speed run? About a challenge? A solo, a coop with friends, with randoms where you anyway have to open the doors on your own? And what map actually? I don't know, but this topic is so hot. I mean, I'm always "on one hand, it is like so, pick up your nuke" but on the other hand "it is not like so, so don't pick it up". It all depends on the situation. All I can say is that lemonade managed somehow to get this stuff generalized. My fattest respect for that. He can impossibly cover all situations where you pick up your death machine and when not, but he managed to give an overview of what power up has what influence on points very well. As we can also see, his guide is not especially written for Pro's, that anyway play as they play. So the dumbest thing we can do here is to discuss about why "my pro gaming style is better as mentioned in the guide". His guide exactly helps advanced players, to find their own playstyle. It gives a ton of inputs on point optimizing. Everybody is free to find his own mix between points and safety, everybody can decide on his own if he buys his bowie on 4 or picks up the nuke in 4 and buys the bowie on 5. He can also decide on his own if he is going for jug or for the bowie or for a wallgun or for the box or whatever. This guide just fulfills what a good guide should. It gives you inputs, and with these inputs you can find your own style of playing.
  11. I agree on that. I think many things depend on the individual style of play. I mean, what is point maximizing? Having a max point count at the end of 1 is completely different play, than having max point count at the end of 5. The other Q is, do you really need every single point?? Get your Bowie in 5 instead of 4, man who cares. In the end you anyway find yourself in Round 20 with 50k pts and you have no clue what to do with it.
  12. Well, did a game yesterday with hands. I didn't even watch my back anymore, I was too lazy for it. I mean, hands was there to revive. I run about 5 times in the same spawn point, got blocked and died, just cause I was too lazy to stop my shooting for a second and check if a zombie is coming out that spawn point there.... I mean what we had hands? 10 and 15 downs or something around that at Round 50? How ridiculous is that for us. Just remembering a random game, that ran quite well a few days ago, where I had 2 (unlucky) downs at 40. One was cause those damned death machines spinning up at the Easter Egg part, totally defenseless there So in the end I guess I will also play more focused with randoms. So it's imho definitely something that matters. I just think it doesn't change your skill, it changes your effort and focus you put into the game.
  13. absolutely, but just annoying when you wanna quickly investigate something and you noclip around and so on ;)
  14. Very well written guide. Covers pretty much all of it. I especially like how you wrote that, very entertaining (was so lol at 'NDU - good luck'). Just would criticize that it is a bit too long, but that is the prob with most if not all of the guides I do not agree all over the place, but many things are a matter of taste. So for example a 2x at a round break... I'm one of those that freak out. Death machine a waste of points? Hmm, yeah and no, but empty one in a max train in 50+ and you get 20k+, not sure if this is wasting. Now of course I guess you meant it in Round 5 or something So many stuff is depending on the situation. Insta in Round 8 with the bowie, totally not needed, actually bad, cause you cannot shoot the zombs anymore a few time before you finish them. Insta in Round 7 without the Bowie, hmm, yeah, why not. Lethal headshot at the second shot gives you a 110 (not to mention all the misses into the neck), and the insta knife 140. But one thing. On PC I get 60 for a chest shot. See the here at 0:27. Isn't that like so on the consoles? If you allow I like to use the opportunity to show some vids where I was maximizing points. Really maximizing ra9nYpkpU8I Dow0psdS5D4
  15. Hi Just did some testing. The Ray has a 5 neck multiplier and a 4 headshot multiplier. So I thought, why everybody shoots at the ground. Cause with neck shots, you would do 5000 damage, which is very solid, plus the blast thing. When you shoot onto the ground, you loose those 5k direct impact damage each shot, when you shoot at the legs or so, you loose still 4k each bullet. I did some test right now. Gather a group, and once I shot only in the neck, the other time on the ground, very low fire rate, so to use as few ammo as possible. Was round 17-18-19, so the zombies have more than 1k health, but less then 4k. Surprising Result: Used about 10-15% less ammo when I shot onto the ground to take out a group. Another test. Round 22 or something, where 4k and 5k damage is still lethal for the zombs. So I expected the zombie I shoot at to die instantly. I aimed at my best. But guess what, absolutely no insta kill. So, wtf is going on here. Can someone explain me this? Headshot and Neckshot multipliers, direct impact damage vs blast damage, which zomb gets how many blast, does blast damage also get multiplied, etc etc etc. I do not get it. Just thinking about: Ray has 1500 max blast. Plus 1000 direct impact. So the zombie I shoot is supposed to get about 2500 damage. I remember Round 13, I shoot a zombie in the leg and I make a crawler. But the zombie has only 1400 life, and 1400 is less then 2500. And the next full healthy zombie on the other hand gets directly killed. So really, what the.... ? I totally do not understand the blast damage system.
  16. The multiplier doesn't increase according to the zombie chart. But that one with the Ray is a good point. I believed a long time too, that both Rays do the same damage, till I first saw the chart Actually just brought another question up. Gonna open a lil' thread about. OK, before you guys quote the whole 'zombie chart' content... Hmm, lemme think. ok. you might not know this on consoles. Did you know that the game got a huge glitch protector system by time? For example, when you enter inaccessible areas, you will die instantly. When George stands on the same spot for too long, he teleports to a George spawn. When you have no Death Machine in your hand and the Death Machine Drop runs out, Sam will take all your guns and points. Or this is another PC thing: Did you know, that demigodmode (damage indicator as normal, but you just do not die after the redscreen) works only, when you own quickrevive?
  17. very beautiful nothing to add
  18. Well, i have 3 points. On one hand, i agree to superhands' opinion. I relax too much when I play with my heterosexual friends, so I might play not as professional. But with randoms, I try to give my best. But now, on the other hand, you are only as good as your team is. When those randoms behave as dummies, my game is in much more danger, causing a lot of downs of myself. Another point is, I think you only rate your own game compared to the other players. When you have 2 downs and the other guys 20, that looks as you would have played well. But when you have 2 downs and the other 0, it looks as you would have played bad.
  19. Trying to lead the discussion towards the actual topic: I think it's really important to say that there might be many fails. Because doing this is not easy. But just keep it trying, it is the most reliable and consistent strategy for a double jug I've ever seen so far. So just keep it up and do not get desperate after 2-3 fails!
  20. hehe, no need to apologize dude. Dumb people are those that do not ask questions, always keep this in mind.
  21. Murder, I really respect and like you. Just your posts on this thread show what a nice poster you are. But please allow me to be honest. You can not write a guide like Superhands, Chopper or Ehj. can do it, to mention some examples. The Cut Back is neither an emergency solution, nor a chaos, nor something that can be avoided by prevention. It's a basic move. I can understand you're arguments very well, I thought the same way. It's hard to explain, but the main thing is just that the cut back makes soooo many thing sooooo easier. What I would recommend is just do some cut backs, also when they wouldn't be necessary and develop a feel for it. You'll see on your own, no chaos, and you'll also see that you just avoided this damn spawn point that killed you so often, cause a zomb was coming out. The Cutback is prevention to go down actually. I look very forward to your guide, but please do not try to make it a "pro" guide. Do not even try to answer the last few questions I asked there. Not even me knows the answers. I think, just what people need is a guide that is written by a guy that doesn't know everything, that says things a bit easy. A complete different angle of view, that also non-pro's can understand. I mean what we have here - guide from pro here, guide from pro there. What shall a medium skilled player do with that? When you have a look at those Pro Guides, they just say like "do cutback here, drag a bit here, and you are good". I'm sure so much people have no clue what the guider is talking about. What I expect from your guide is the complete opposite. Something that non-pro's can understand. Therefore, if you are not convinced of this cut back or something, that is absolutely ok! Why should a newcomer be interested in that. My advice for you is, just focus on a guide for Beginners to Advanced, but do not try to cover every Pro thought there ever was. I know you are working a very long time on this guide, so it cannot be 'bad' or something. I just think we discuss on different levels here. Whereas me and hands do certains moves automatically without even noticing it, this move might for you be a "emergency chaos thing". But as said, those are exactly the differences that not a single 'Pro' can cover in his guide, cause he would never think, that for a newcomer the cutback would seem that unimportant. I just say it again: When you manage it to do a guide for newcomers up to advanced, you're guide will be awesome. Because we have never seen this here. So stay onto it, but also do not try to make it too much 'pro' and answer how the teleporters in FIVE work exactly... cause not even the pro's know ;)
  22. Yeah, you can love or hate the QED. But the super awesome effects are so rare, that you can basically neglect them. The most common 'good' effect is that it does an astro wave. But that is what a Gersh always does, it takes out a mass of zombies. So I recommend the Gersh always. Of course, before Round 30 you can mess around a bit and hope for your free perk or for your free gun upgrade, so
  23. Yeah true, you also can still get damage sometimes. It's bit weird, but I just covered the normal and general rule there. No, but the dealy between 2 knifes gets reduced.
  24. [OT]OK the "this belongs to strategy/gameplay officier" thought this thread is anyway outdated, but now I'm gonna ask the mods to move this, since it stays quite active [/OT]
