  1. Knocked it out of the park with these selections for HoF status, guys. Congrats to all of you, you all EARNED this honor with your exceptional contributions to CoDz!
  2. :edit: sorry, Flammenwerfer covered what I was posting re: nazi zombies. anyway, like many have said, although a return to der reise would likely be extremely popular, it doesn't seem ideal to me unless it is as a bonus of some kind. If i want to play der reise i can pop in Waw or BO1 and play it, I don't need to wait for november 2015. Now If they did in fact decide to re-release it, I would hope that it was expanded with a lot of new elements, and not just a carbon copy. Here's a thought. obviously hypothetical. Vahn has been tweeting quite a bit lately, so they are obviously in full swing in developing this new game. Do we think it is at all possible that in the past 2 years they have made some reworked maps that could possibly be released as either free or low cost DLC for BO2 as a viral marketing campaign of sorts? I mean think of the hype that would generate to have one last BO2 zombies map pack release around september or early october to maybe "bridge the gap" into the new zombies season? Just like companies market with "free samples" i mean i don't think it is completely out of the question that this could be a unique and incredibly effective bit of marketing for the new game
  3. love this idea. might be something that next gen hardware could legitimately make this a possibility. even maybe possibility of fusing weapons together to form better weapons to bring a new upgrade element into play
  4. geez, i had to do some actual work here at the office today! boooo!
  5. Certainly if this is in any way the direction we are headed, at some point in the season our quest would be to bring him back? I mean although he is quite an anti-hero, he is one of the most popular zombies characters, if not the most. ugh this wait is going to be so slow and long yet so fun
  6. here is the other picture via @Lizizadolphin 's post on the last page. :edit: i paged the thread, so now it's on 2 pages ago aka page 4 lol
  7. ahaha... Major Components are missing...... #Richtofen
  8. sorry for double post, but these are all great ideas as well. i disagree with the perma perks being selectable from the start, because I just don't think they belong at all, but i see the merit in that idea (like being able to basically select a class) I especially love the idea of the map dynamically changing after completing the EE
  9. love those ideas.. mainly why im hoping for "World at War 2" or something of the like, is i'd like to see how awesome that era would look on next gen consoles. I mean i could see getting legitimately creeped out like i did sometimes back on Verruckt or Der Reise
  10. I love this concept, would be awesome as a mode......I like the idea of more modes within zombies as a whole - not just one flavour, maybe 3 different flavours. One straight up, one with buildables and some of the things Matuzz suggested, maybe a mode where you can configure tons of these options. Like Clay said - that original progression of working the points, doors, weapons and your strategy. Origins is like a sterile mess of a setup, Buried is even worse as you get all your points and can do everything on round 1!!! Just not true zombies to me. If you insist on having that kinda start available, be it via bank (Buried/Die Rise etc) or highly complex (Origins, MOTD), have an option to not have to do that stuff. Have an option to not have to find 3 shield parts every game when you have done it many times before. Try and have as many options and ways to play available to us. I understand that you can't please everyone, and trying to do too much could ruin the game but some options seem so easy to have in there - like an option for buildables - built / parts need finding. That's it, one option means those that want to always find the parts can, and those that are sick of doing it over and over again don't have to. I think this is fantastic. What if in origins, you could turn the buildables option off? instead the maxis drone, and zombie shield were already built at specific locations and could be purchased? Stick the staves in the mystery box. Just as an option. Let me first say to preface that any disagreement with anyone in this thread is NOT me saying you are wrong, just simply my opinion for what would be most fun for me... so no offense is meant by anything i might post lol But yes, chopper, i agree they should expand the custom games options and really let you make it your own... that could add so much replayability to the maps. gosh there is just so much you could do with that
  11. I like the separate perk slot for Jugg idea, because nobody realistically doesn't choose jug as one of their 4 perks... that or just expand it to 5 perk limit. the rest seem pretty outlandish to me. I mean no offense by this, but they sound like doing different things just for the sake of doing different things. Most of them would provide a challenge, but when i am thinking of things for the next game, I think of something like the gersch device, where when i saw it the first time my eyes lit up and thought "DAMN, now THAT was cool" I dont think adding things to make it tougher is the way to go, but maybe limiting things that make it easier (please get rid of the bank and weapon locker) Now the round objectives, i think that is a fun idea. reward you with like a max ammo if you complete it, maybe take away one clip if you don't. when i think of stuff i want in the new zombies, it is a return to what made it great. A progression of gaining points opening doors, buying weapons and perks and upgrading weapons. What i want added are increased stats tracking (even more in depth than BO2) customization options and maybe a challenge system to unlock new PaP skins, weapons, etc. Id like to see the theater return of course. Easeter Eggs/Side Quests should be completely optional, but difficult, and with a reward worthy of the time and skill it takes to complete it. I might be ok with a care drop type of system, but i am against any type of deployables. I think the allure of nazi zombies was it is just you against the zombs... nobody outside is helping you besides the announcer giving random drops. I think the deployables and care packages like in Outbreak are too far outside that realm,. its fine for exo zombs, but id prefer it left out of our treyarch zombs
  12. that seems to be a little far-fetched for me. there still would certainly be limits in a zombies only game, but it would give them the freedom to give more options than as it is currently constituted
  13. That would be super super interesting, however i would hope if that was the case it was some kind of standalone deal, and not what we see in the full release zombies. i dont think many people would be happy getting reskinned WaW maps as the DLC for the next full game. with Borderlands releasing the "Handsome Collection" being a remastered next gen re-release of BL2 and BL:TPS plus all DLC, I could see the merit behind that kind of release. Wishful thinking on my part mostly though
  14. Wishful thinking. More like a remake in a similar sense to BO1's Rezurrection pack. Possibly one per DLC. Hmm, I would like that but remember we have a lot of old maps to go on with. Maybe they do special packs like: Classic with DLC 1, the story maps in BO, none connected maps like five, nuketown and dead ops and finally the BO 2 set of maps? Along with a new map for each of course. I think it's more likely we'll only see the original 4 maps, or them all. One extra map per DLC is a stretch as is, but to put in 4-6? Highly unlikely to re-release all the existing maps along a 4 dlc season, they'd have to do 4 per seaon along with presumably 4 MP maps and new zombies map. id say it is pretty unlikely. At this point I honestly think the most likely idea might be a special bonus zombies edition pre-order of sorts like the "hardened" and "prestige" versions, that would include a standalone zombies game that is nothing more than a remastering of all the old maps with some special stuff sprinkled in. I would drop $150 in a heart beat for that kind of thing... but im a sucker for zombies
  15. nah, just how many old TV's were
  16. Oh man this makes me feel old. This is how old tv's used to be. there was VHF and UHF. there was another dial underneath the top one, so that if you turn the top one to U, you can change to UHF channels on the lower dial. nothing cryptic, just a relic of a simpler time lol :edit: and as for the Vahn tweet, i'm sure he was joking... that was like 5 minutes into the presentation, there were not 34 hints at future zombies, he was being funny...

Sorry i couldn't play for long but it was cool getting to play with Speedo finally and Naitrax again for the first time in ages. We'll have to do it again!

  18. But isn't that true for every zombies map ever? at some point in every game you are going to be satisfied with the weapons you have and the box is no longer necessary. With the relatively low ammo count on pre BO2 WW's, not really. The Thundergun, super powerful, but ran out of ammo quickly, same with the scavenger, or the Waffle. BO2, we had an insta kill WW that had 99 bullets in the ice staff, it creates a 7 second blizzard that kills everything it touches. If you played it right, in an area with limited spawn points, it could kill 40+ zombies per 3 bullets. Then there is the Sliquifier, a WW that could literally kill an entire rounds worth of zombies in a single bullet. Much different than a weapon that kills a dozen zombies, and has 24 (?) Shots like the TG. Anyways the real point is variety. There's maybe 5 guns in the box that don't offend you when you hit it. If all of the weapons were useful, you wouldn't use the same two or three weapons every single game. Different weapons with different styles, and perks. Some might he a high ammo count, others might be really powerful. Some can revive teammates. I think you are underestimating the ability of the thundergun/wunderwaffe/wave gun/JGbabymaker2001 at say round 30 solo there would be 100-110 zombies in the round. If you max out the spawns at 24 zombies, it would only take 5 shots with any of those guns (if used correctly) to clear the round But the rest of your post i do totally agree with
  19. Our friend Telixion is streaming some EE hunting right now with A Snorkel, LiamFTWinter, and StrWrsbob. check em out! #FirstInTheWorld www.twitch.tv/Telixion

Just added his stream, so that it shows as online.

  20. This came in handy for me yesterday. It had been so long since we had played Shangri La that we basically forgot the whole thing lol. But 4 hours later we did the EE 3 times and ended the game on round 28! Super fun map for sure. We do a camping strategy at the bottom of the bridge just outside of the tunnel
  21. But isn't that true for every zombies map ever? at some point in every game you are going to be satisfied with the weapons you have and the box is no longer necessary.
  22. I like that though. It makes you feel like you wasted your money, and shows that the box is a gamble. I agree with Speedo here, but like i've said previously. I also would love the idea of a second upgrade of sorts that could turn some of those seemingly useless weapons into real machines of destruction. Much like the reward of keeping your 1911 to create M&S, id like to see a situation where surviving long enough with your SMR could have some very useful benefit
  23. Maybe the reason we rarely play custom games is because there was a lack of quality customization options? By adding really good unique customizations maybe it would be a lot more popular...
  24. First time in a long time played some zombies yesterday. Played with my normal crew, played Shangri-La. Did the EE 3 times and ended up ending the game on round 29 after like 4 hours lol! We have the bug again.
