  1. I agree. I still think the current signature rules are a little bit too strict. If turning sigs off is going to be an easy option, then i would propose easing the rules on sig length to 20 lines or so. That way it allows us to be a bit more expressive with our signatures, yet easily enables those who don't want to see them to turn them off
  2. One of my favorite ideas was a mystery-box that actually expanded via DLC, Unlockables, and in-game-purchase. How it would work is there's a "box" selection on the front screen and in lobbies. The box will allow the player access to change 10 of the 15-20 weapons in the box. The other 5-10 remain map specific and can't be changed. The 10 gun slots would have different respective types, allowing one to swap a weapon for a similar weapon based on preference: -Pistol -SMG -LMG -Sniper -Shotgun -Rifle -Tactical Grenade - Launcher -Tactical (Crossbow, ballistics knives, ect.) -Ray gun (Only allows to be swapped with a ray gun M2 should one have the DLC. The ray guns maintain their normal flaws with the M1 being hurtful and less useful but the M2 being rarer in the box) You of course would NEED to fill in every weapon slot and as one progresses they unlock different kinds of guns, some with more amo, some with better accuracy, some with faster firing, some with quicker reload time, but none that are too OP then the others. It's like the difference between the python and Remington NMA, or the RPD and the LSAT. This way treyarch could infinantly expand the amount of weapons in the box, without making the box too cluttered or too complex. Love the idea for the most part, other than the fact it seems like a lot of work on the user's end. Now I love customization so it would be right up my alley, but i can see where some people wouldn't like it being that complicated. Or the situation i find myself in in MP sometimes where i'm trying to make a new class and the game starts before i can finish it. Anyway let me throw out a similar counter-idea. Multiple box locations. So with next-gen it is not crazy to think that we might have some actually bigger maps (not tranzit pseudo-big) what if there were different sections of the map that had a separate box? Or even less complicated than that, what about just custom games options to choose the box contents. So like just as we could choose "magic" "headshots only" etc. in BO2. how about the option for "mystery box contents" and you could choose between WaW, BO1, and BO2, and 2015 COD as your choices. so we could play in custom modes a new 2015 cod map, with the old WaW weapons. Hell, I would easily pay $5 for a DLC pack of classic weapons for zombies. in a heartbeat i would
  3. Admin's, any idea on how many new members per day we are acquiring? just looking at @Technical Support 's welcome messages it looks like exo zombies hype is already in full swing. Welcome to all the new members and don't be shy! we're happy to have you all!

      S.O.P.H.I.A.

      Averaging 8 per day ;)

  4. When each new zombies map has come out, there's always several comments to the tune of "why didn't they put the AK-47 in the box?" Or "where is the PPsh?" and so on and so forth. With the increased capabilities of next gen consoles do you think there might be a chance to expand the amount of weapons they include in each map? might we see some old favorites return? Id love to see an increased variety
  5. dude... i know this may not work for you, and i'm not judging or anything, but you can get a PS4 this year... if you can believe it you can achieve it!! just save 5 bucks each week. maybe that means cutting out a daily bottle of soda. maybe it's eating out less each week. maybe it means turning tricks on the street corners.. but you can DO IT!! Maybe I can. Unfortunately money is hard to come by with my parents xD Sent from my SGH-T599N using Tapatalk hehe understandable mate, was just having a little fun ! I would trade the disposable income of adulthood and the buying power it brings for the simplicity of youth in a heart beat!!

      yeah... @DeathBringerZen

i was hoping for a community slightly more constructive than that lol! thanks anyway! BTW I dont understand why everyone hates SBMM so much (other than the fact everyone aspires to play against braindead time travelers who are seeing a television for the first time)

Yeah, that is why exactly. A lot of people want to go in against lobby full of noobs so they can feel superior but when they are paired with equal leveled players they rage. lol. I don't mind either way. I am too casual with MP to get bothered by it.

  8. That's a great question! If i were a betting man, I'd put money on the O4. Seems like a lot of folks were really underwhelmed by the N4, and i'd be pretty surprised if they introduced a new new 4. Or perhaps (and im being overly optimistic now) we'll get 2 maps per pack and will track both groups' progress
  9. As it's my topic, i would honestly prefer to just shift conversation back to the topic of what new things we can expect specifically because of next gen stuff
  10. Yeah, i was just kind of spitballing an idea i had, but I usually like you subscribe to the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" thought
  11. Have you seen TMG Standoff? Its a custom map that has something like this. What happens to Mule kick? Don't need it anymore. Makes room for another perk Have you seen TMG Standoff? Its a custom map that has something like this. nope, don't have a PC so ihavent seen any custom maps
  12. Here's kind of a weird idea i just had. what if there were weapon classes. So let's say you can carry 3 guns from the start, but only one gun of each class. So you can carry one heavy weapon, like a WW a LMG, death machine, etc. a middle class like a AR shot gun or SMG, and then a pistol/ballistic knife/ray gun idk just a thought that would allow more weapons to be used and become relevant
  13. get the feeling my rage at the CoDAW subreddit might get me banned today lol.

Yeah. basically for whatever reason i was just in a super argumentative mood today, and the people bitching about SBMM got to me lol. Basically just arguing in a circle without admitting that the only reason they don't like it is because it makes them play people of equal skill hence they can't just stomp on noobs all day

  14. I dont know where Perma Perks came from but I dont see whats wrong with calling them that, its easier to say when your in a rush. Its like criticizing the fandom for not knowing any better. They cant help it if 3arch done ever even mention something existence. And I don't think it's any different calling the side quests "easter eggs" they started out as legitimate easter eggs, just little quirks, then came der reise and the fly trap egg, and the musical EE's, and the name just kind of stuck with the community even as the definition changed. It happens. Nothing wrong with calling them Easter Eggs
  15. or BOTH!
  16. I think we can have our cake and eat it too with this. First i want to say I vehemently disagree with the assertion that the side quests or whatever are kiddie, or not adult. Now one byproduct of the nature of BO2's "advertised" side quests was the kiddie gamers screaming in the pregame lobby "can we please do the easter egg??" but the addition of the quests themselves didn't cause this, it was the advertised nature of them, and like @Black Hand Smith said, youtube being soooo popular with the children and teens of today has brought attention to them to this demographic. Heck, I didn't even know the ascension EE existed until well after the black ops 1 season, and I was an active member of this board then even! I just never thought to look for such a thing. Now also, the EE's having a reward like the perma perks also seemed to increase the screamers in pre game lobbies jonesing for doing the easter egg, This is fine, since as we all know doing the EE on Moon was really well worth the time spent gameplay wise. BUT! I really would like to see them go back to the radios and cryptic messages that were so fun to try and figure out. There was quite a bit in Origins, which was neat, but the EE was far too forced imo. I think its about finding a balance, and as many of us (not all mind you I know) agree, the EE should be a bit more subtle for sure, and then again adding more back story through messages and radios would be great as well
  17. I would agree, and maybe honestly that is the direction they want to head in, making the game more about the EE's in almost a Campaign fashion (like the introduction of game ending EE's) Maybe with next gen they will be able to have their cake and eat it too, but it is pretty clear that in BO2 they were REALLY encouraging players to do the EE with things like the Bank and Weapon locker to help people get started. Im sure a lot of people like it that way, but its not surprising to me that many of us "zombie purists" would prefer it to be a little more cryptic yet rewarding
  18. Pretty much agree with what most people have said regarding forced teamwork to get to the pack-a-punch, and the "forced" and guided EE's. Shangri La and Moon should be the blueprint for EE's. And like @Electric Jesus said, I think that a good benchmark for an EE is that the map should still play perfectly, even if you didn't know the EE existed. I guess what I mean by that is that the map should be designed with the assumption that the EE will not be completed. Then the EE can be designed to inspire total teamwork and cooperation, and provide a reward that perfectly complements the map. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing the EE's but I also like being able to play the map without doing the EE as well
  19. Yeah, but I hope they actually make less stuff for people to set up. I know a ton of people like the zombie shield and tramplesteam, but I think they take away more than they add.
  20. Yeah, I think a ranking system more akin to Extinction with prestige levels would be ideal, and with each new prestige, a new PaP camo would be unlocked, and would also be usable in MP. That would be my ideal way of doing it. Lots of good ideas BrayJay
  21. They have done it often in custom WaW maps right? Maybe its not the direction they will go, but i'd much rather them go that way as opposed to expand buildables like the trample steam and sub-surface resonator which mad Buried so easy you didnt even have to fire a bullet. I think they need to re-focus and go back to basics, instead of making it more complicated. Like i've said before, I think they need to go back to basics and make the zombies experience play a little bit faster, Mob of the Dead, Buried, and Origins were all so tedious getting set up with the best weapons, it 2 hours before you can actually start burning through rounds, They need to eliminate the bank, and make the game play more organically like it did in WaW and Black Ops 1. My friends and I rarely will play a co-op game on BO2 because none of us have enough time to set aside 4 hours just to make a zombies run
  22. https://youtube.com/watch?v=KCy7lLQwToI Also I would agree with you on that clay. That's the point of a wonder weapon. You should always want to end up with wonder weapons. Double-pap should just serve to delay the inevitable necesity of depending on them. It goes back to what I said about gameplay styles. Ask 50 people what their favorite non wonder weapon is, and you'll get 50 different answers. Yet if you watch those 50 peopleplay they will all end up with an LMG. All weapons should be good enough in their own way so that if you have a preference or specialized skill you can use it to your advantage. High skill, high reward. Double pap would to an extent slow the de-evolution of unique gameplay styles, because you could still rock your favorite gun in higher rounds. I don't know. Maybe I'm the only one, but I think some weapons have to suck. It's the point of the mystery box. You either get a decent gun, something you'll get rid of, or no gun at all. If every weapon was useful, no one would care what they got as long as it was a weapon. Well the non-Pap version would still suck. and the PaP version would still be far out-performed by better weapons, but the second PaP would reward you for surviving long enough with the crappy weapon to be able to upgrade it again and get a really nice formidable weapon. (much like the reward for holding onto your 1911 long enough to upgrade to M&S)
  23. https://youtube.com/watch?v=KCy7lLQwToI Also I would agree with you on that clay. That's the point of a wonder weapon. You should always want to end up with wonder weapons. Also in co-op games, since i assume not every future map will be like origins where there are 4 legit wonder weapons, it allows the 3 players who didn't get the WW to upgrade their weaponry so it would be legit up into the upper 30's and even possibly up to 50 rounds
  24. Consider this though. What is the endgame of every single zombies map since Der Reise? WonderWeapon, Ray Gun/M&S , point gun if you have MuleKick, and monkeys/gersch Nobody rocks The MTAR, KSG, and Ballista in Origins... Or the PM63, HS10, and FN FAL in Kino. The point of a 2nd PaP in my explanation isn't to make it over powered and make 100 rounds easier (its already easy enough if you have the time and the right weapons) It is to have the 2nd PaP add enough to the other non WW type weapons so that they are still viable options albeit not as good as the WWs. Just my opinion.
