  1. same here. The connections for me have been better than any other cod game i've had (although i never really had much of a problem since I upgraded my internet service a couple of years ago. That said, Ghosts hasn't aged well early on for me, and i haven't enjoyed extinction enough to really have any sort of excitement build for the DLC season which is the exact opposite of treyarchs DLC season. I literally set an alarm to wake up and DL the map packs right when they release for treyarchs games, but IW i just get them eventually
  2. yeah same scenario for me, with the time I left my box on and got all those downs while my tv wasn't even on lol, add in to that when we very first found the quick revive persistent upgrade, not knowing downs could affect rank, i went down 34 times in round 1 on the lava so my buddies could get the upgrade thinking it was permanent lol even with all that i still have an overall k/d of around 85 and a 116 if you exclude grief, but still I think the ship has already set sail on my ability to get to shotguns
  3. I'm a little bit surprised to see that I'm the only person that changes the stick layout. I do this because it mimcs the controls of Goldeney 007 , which was the first FPS that i played and that idea of left stick controls rotating left and right, and right stick (c-buttons on the N64 controller) controls strafing left and right. I do see that tactical button layout has garnered some use, which like was stated earlier I believe really helps with being able to crouch without taking your finger off the stick
  4. I agree with what way said, but I think it's also important to highlight that according to Jimmy, it isn't a sum of all activities, but more of a "what have you done for me lately" scenario. I always like to mention that I ranked up to the knife less than a week after i had accidentally left my xbox on after a co-op game, and kept getting put in games while i was at work. K/D went down from almost 100 to like 65. Still ranked up less than a week later after no early downs solo games into the 30's on die rise and mob
  5. sounds like he answered that question already. I'm sure the coding regarding the shield is the same across the maps, just the skin is different.
  6. The bottom line is, the hoax is that when you get powerups in early rounds, by refusing to pick them up increases your chances or the amount of drops to occur in later rounds, which just simply isn't true. Powerups earned previously has no bearing on powerups earned later (aside from the obvious round max of 4 per round)
  7. QR drops after the game starts, and then you'd have 4 more drops. Jugg, Speed Cola, 2x Tap, and Pack a Punch. I think my highest on nuketown solo is 37, and i'm relatively sure all perks had dropped by the early 20's
  8. I've done this before but it has been a while... For the last step, exactly what weapons and how many of each do you need? last night tried with 1 upgraded ray gun, zeus cannon, dolls, gersch, did you need th awful lawton?
  9. They haven't implemented any of my ideas.... yet. One thing I loved about black ops 2 was the theater, but for long games it was really painful trying to fast forward, so I would encourage treyarch to keep the theater, but have more "landmarks" if you will that you can skip to. So basically significant events (that people may want yo upload or edit) like turning power on, Buying perks, completing an EE step. basically so you can skip to those times quickly and easily. I am all for further expanding the Theater and Stats tracking aspects of zombies
  10. i would guess because of the whole kichen ****** bots problems we had lol :edit: yes lol because c a b i n e t s is filtered too
  11. a s a l e? on the season pass or just onslaught? i'm intrigued
  12. Robot's footprints in Origins (w/o golden helmet of course) mud slows you down, and it's so easy to space out and forget about the robots lol Shangri La pretty much the whole map. The basement in "Five" the labs in Moon basically anywhere that has those damn nova6 zombies
  13. yes i've definitely noticed this
  14. absolutely! Private matches, more custom options. They really dropped the ball with the custom games in blops2 it actually got worse as the DLC's came out lol. Also i vote for no more "persistant upgrades" way to confusing and totally unneccesary. Also instead of a complicated ranking system, just do a prestige system and xp based ranking up. No more lame WW's like the jet gun and sliquifier (sliquifier wasn't that bad i guess) and honestly no more buildable WW's unless there are multiple like on origins (so that people don't just rush to build it themselves so they can take it) The stats tracking on blops2 was fantastic, so continue that, and expand it even more. hoping for at least 3 on disk maps too. give us some variety while we wait for dlc season thats all for now!
  15. nice thread Naitrax, but I hope it doesn't happen lol. They just got Tranzit all wrong. The whole thing is really terrible, literally the whole thing. I have to believe that if/when zombies continues, that the on-disk map will be really terriffic. Now if they really wanted to make that large a map with many different unique locations, what would be the "no-brainer" way of traveling? duh! teleport! we've been teleporting in zombies since Der Reise! but instead they made us ride a rickety bus, and even worse, wait for siad rickety bus. Anyway, I really wish they would extend the DLC seasons for cod games since many either dont buy or don't play as much the IW installments,. Borderlands 2 is such a great example of a game getting quality content even 18 months + after release.
  16. I had this problem on my World at War disk. luckily it only affects multiplayer maps, and not zombies.
  17. I think this is a fantastic idea. We have rep comments in another forum i frequent and it really adds a lot to be able to know why a particular user +1 or -1 you. Good work. CODZ is back baby!
  18. My original impression was that this game mode is pretty fun. Unfortunately it hasn't aged well with me, and I really wasn't impressed by the first DLC trailer. It looks like the exact same type of map with a different skin on it. That's where zombies is so good is the variety in look and feel of the maps. Needless to say, I've been back on a zombies kick lately playing a lot of black ops 1,. Hopefully the DLC proves my first impression wrong
  19. Mod/Admin team: The new layout looks absolutely fantastic. Really knocked it out of the park. Everyone make sure you relay the news on social media that the forum is back up, so we can get everyone back and rolling! Remember, we are only 4-5 months away from the normal "formal announcement" time for next year's cod. Possibly only 10 months away from new zombies and furthermore NEXT GEN ZOMBIES whoaaaaaa!
  20. Good question AlphaOmega. Here's how I look at it. Solo is very therapeutic to me, because I don't have to worry about anyone else affecting my experience. I can play the way I want to, and everything is on my own terms. I really like playing solo at a slower pace, being able to pause and eat, drink, do things around the house, etc. and be able to jump back in whenever. I also like the personal achievement aspect of being able to go for higher rounds since it is much more feasable to go for a 50,75, 100 round solo than co-op. Co-op also has it's place though. I love co-op because it is so much fun to develop strategies with my friends. Since I play with the same folks mostly, we keep track of high rounds and see if we can come up with an easier strat to beat those records. Then there is co-op with randoms which is also fun sometimes because my individual skill usually shines through. I like being rather quiet and going along with whatever strategy the boisterous leader comes up with, and then when that inevitably fails, I can revive or clutch the round, and then once my respect has been gained, I can let them know what to do to stay alive longer. Either way it is a win-win. Although the maps in BO2 were lackluster in comparison to BO1 (in general, origins was fantastic as was mob of the dead) I think some of the innovations, as well as feedback from the community will make for an absolutely epic 4th installment in COD Zombies
  21. hahahaha oh boy
  22. actually a ton of people have kinda-sorta time constraints. They are called spouses lol. Also, although I'm a big zombies fan, sometimes I just get tired of playing. When i start playing zombies most of the time I have no round in mind as a goal. Im just playing to have fun. Seems like you and some others are making it out to be some dead-serious endeavor. i think it's time to lighten up!
  23. Just FYI in the poll you have it as "Resolution" when it is "Revolution" which coincidentally was my favorite pack. Die Rise was a very interesting zombies map which in my opinion probably offers the best replay value. But moreso than zombies which overall was rather underwhelming this time around, the multiplayer maps from this pack were very nice, and above all the first ever DLC weapon the Peacekeeper. I hope they continue that trend with Ghosts and the next treyarch installment as well.
