Really digging those ALIENS in EXTINCTION,
The Clay Bird replied to Oldmate's topic in Extinction Mode
If this mode is going to differentiate itself in anyway, there will have to be some special weapons or upgrades or something other than stuff we get to use in multiplayer. if it is jsut going to be the same thing over and over with a scenery change I don't think it will stick -
What prestige are you in extinction mode ?+ Tips and Tricks
The Clay Bird replied to way2g00d's topic in Extinction Mode
haven't really played too much. im a level 10 maybe? not many of my friends buy the IW cod game since it has coincided with BF3 and BF4 basically. certainly no zombies, but its a vast improvement over only having survival -
pretty meh for me. Its kinda fun but for it to stick for me they will really have to impress me with dlc for it

Are we drifting away from "Classic" Zombies?
The Clay Bird replied to GameChanger's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yeah, that is a pretty good assessment of the game. I understand the progression of the game but feel they implemented to many things that made the game too easy overall, but my main concern is when a map becomes too easy, it then kills off any longevity unless of course the side quests offer something worthwhile. I just feel none of the EE's were worth doing more than once. The Buried end-game would have been good if the map was better, or if the allowed the box to be activated on other maps like Tranzit or Die Rise as opposed to just Buried. Origins felt like the most unrewarding of them all, but that is just my opinion, and I know that it is not necessarily the views of everyone. The fun part of zombies isn't getting to round 100 though. that's not the point. The real fun in zombies lies in co-op with friends trying to survive as long as you can. the maps that are tough to start out are the most fun because what satisfaction do you get in success if it is a forgone conclusion. Origins is great fun because rounds 3-13 are so tough. the fact that you may not always make it to round 10 makes it that much more satisfying when you do. That is what the bank and fridge took away from die rise and buried. and to a lesser extent tranzit (which honestly who could be bothered to wait for the stupid fucking bus long enough to even get to the town right?) that's why mob and origins will hold the replay value in black ops 2, its because they have the classic zombies formula. earn your points, survive, and spend them wisely. i sure as hell hope they hold to that formula for the next installment -
Does suiciding accomplish anything
The Clay Bird replied to TEHELFIE001's topic in General Zombies Discussion
this is really a load of non-sense. Assuming there are some other adults who post on this website, time constraints are an actual thing. Families, jobs, activities. Sometimes I want to play solo zombies, and many times I don't have unlimited time to play. So what happens when my time is up and the zombies havent killed me? I end the game/suicide Its the only way to end an otherwise endless game mode. this whole topic really is a waste, there isn't anything to discuss really -
Jimmy Z Tweets - Explaining Rank
The Clay Bird replied to yourmapper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Yes, definitely. I did a round 50 game on tranzit once and I got my shotguns the next day. Keep your downs low in starting rounds and the high rounds downs won't even matter. All the best and let us know when you get em. not a guarantee by any means. i have probably 8-10 total 50+ games on buried and mob of the dead along with some 40's on die rise and have no shotguns to show for it. actually got my dagger after consecutive games of 27 on mob and then 35 on die rise. Did consecutive 50,55,58 on buried and no rank up -
I was so saddened to learn of this yesterday. Had just been watching a lot of his videos because of the Borderlands 2 Loot Hunt going on right now, and it really breaks my heart to see someone so young pass away so senselessly. I know he had a lot of youtube subs a majority of which are young people I would imagine, hopefully if nothing else, this tragedy can serve those young people as a lesson as to what the consequences of drunk driving can be. RIP Yoteslaya , thoughts up to your friends and family

Is Extinction the future of codz forum?
The Clay Bird replied to Z0M3IE_SLAYA_115's topic in Extinction Mode
naw, it's all just hear say at the moment. like I said, it seems to be mostly based on the augmentations to the Ghosts Skull logo. Making it have sharp teeth, seemingly alien. also - would terrorists run head on into an electric or fire trap? I think not. Certainly not to say that terrorists are smarter then Aliens, but more so - I believe we are dealing with something that would be susceptible to an electric fence possibly because they are not experienced with such a normal thing. Zombies run into traps because, well, they crave blood and that's all they can think of. We have to consider who would be running into a "electric fence" trap. also the inclusion of "relics" makes it seem along the lines of a "vril device"... if you will There does seem to be an awful lot of assuming the mode will suck based on previous dislike of IW games. I would just recommend at least waiting until the game is released and we know what the hell its all about before the hate. Here's why I say that. Games copy off each other all the time. Treyarch has the blueprint of an extremely fun and addicting game mode. IW has made some very successful games. Obviously whether or not you agree, they make a product that appeals to a large amount of people. Who's to say that IW can't take the zombies blueprint, and innovate and come up with a different game mode that is fun and addictive. This would be good for zombies in the way that many IW loyalists will not buy the treyarch cods nor try zombies because it's not IW. Well what if they play extinction and love it, and next time treyarch makes a game and they see zombies they say "hey, maybe ill give this a chance" in closing. zombies is the future of this forum, but why can't there be discussion and strategizing about a different game in a subforum here? I see no reason why not, other than there tends to be some deep anti-IW sentiment around these parts -
Is Extinction the future of codz forum?
The Clay Bird replied to Z0M3IE_SLAYA_115's topic in Extinction Mode
before anything, the game mode has to be fun. If the gameplay of the mode itself sucks, then nothing will come of it. The only reason there is an extensive zombies story is because of how fun and popular the mini game was that it started out as. If they have somehow come up with an extremely fun game mode that is not a carbon copy of zombies, something might come of it. its all speculative at this point -
Craziest thing I've seen - Treyarch pls fix
The Clay Bird replied to Chopper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I've never had a problem with anything on any zombies mode other than problems arising from connectivity and lag. never once. anytime someone has complained about glitches or whatnot on bo2 ive been able to confirm nothing sketchy in the theater. -
yes! lol exactly. Thats why the pregame "calling" of staves is pointless and stupid. The best way imo to do it is agree pregame that staves will be distributed based on need. say player 1 goes down a few times early and in round 8-9 is still sans jug, or has only a mp40 or remington or what not. if the fire staff parts have been collected (or any staff for that matter) its agreed that he gets that first staff because it will aid him in survival the most and thus he will be of more value to the team. problem is 99% of people in general much less in zombies are too selfish to behave in this manner

Things trayarch SHOULD have done...
The Clay Bird replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
respectfully disagree here. I say black ops 2 had better creativity and sound and visual effects, but i put black ops 1 above it as far as maps and story goes. Really optimistic about getting the best of both worlds in the next game -
Jimmy's latest Tweet! Mule Kick-esque gift?
The Clay Bird replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Zombies Discussion
seems like his tweets have been a lot less pertinent to zombies of late, and more existential/personal ?? lol why i don't know, but i'd really like to see one more big bang on the zombies side of things for blops2 -
Cod 12: Dlc 2: Actor possibilitys...
The Clay Bird replied to Stop Mocking Me0's topic in General Zombies Discussion
They would be wasting a huge opportunity if they didn't get Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Norman Reedus and Laurie Holden Think of the kind of cash cow that would be lol -
One Reason Why You Love Every Map
The Clay Bird replied to Delta's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nacht Der Untoten - first map, fell in love with the mode Verruckt - first map we camped on. Perks and bouncing betty's Shi No Numa - didn't play much starting out. like the Imperial zombies Der Reise - Pack a punch! more fun co-op camping Kino Der Toten - first map I learned to run on. learned the basics of high round survival here Five - LOVE THE CHARACTERS!! Ascension - Launch rocket to open PaP was awesome! also Gersch's Call of the Dead the beginning of AWESOME wonder weapon creativity. Shangri La - perma perk EE introduced. great idea, and a small map that is still awesome and challenging Moon - quite possible best map yet. Phenomenal EE and reward. Wave gun. NML. pure awesomeness Tranzit - *crickets* Nuketown Zombies - Simple and fantastic. Tons of fun and wish they'd do this more with popular MP maps Die Rise - Laughed so hard first time i used the Sliquifier. Mob of the Dead - Blundergat is awesome, but GRIEF makes this great Buried - too easy, but fun with randoms because its so easy Origins PaP camo!! and the staves! and the O4. Honestly close to Moon and Der Reise for me -
The worst and most annoying byproduct of the staffs in the map is, I honestly can't remember the last time i got in a public lobby that didn't involve some sort of argument from so-and-so "called" this staff and the other guy wanted it and blah blah blah, give me a break about calling the staffs. Its not like calling shotgun! lol Who gets what staff should be determined by need. soooooooo annoying

The future of Call Of Duty Zombies?
The Clay Bird replied to 115Danii's topic in General Zombies Discussion
while this may or may not be the case, activision would be foolish to disrupt the abhorrently profitable formula of Treyarch-IW-Treyarch-IW each has their fanboys, and most get the game regardless of dev. introducing a 3rd dev into the mix seems like a too many cooks scenario. Really doubt that will happen -
Origins EE "Little Lost Girl" Written Steps + Staffs
The Clay Bird replied to Ehjookayted's topic in Origins
Can I just point out that this order does not work for me at all, the only way it works for me is 613 357 462. So It may be that their is several different ways of inputting this or this particular step for the lightning staff is wrong? no it works no matter what order you hit the notes in. first one can be 1-3-6, 3-6-1, or 6,1,3 and same for the rest. as long as the correct 3 notes are resonating they will disappear and the next one can be done. verified this myself multiple times. just make sure you wait long enough between chords. also try the next one if its not working, sometimes you may not think you've activated one and it already has been -
this will drop severely off once more people have had time to learn how to survive on the map. when it dropped for xbox, the same thing happened, but after about a week or 2, public matches were much easier because everyone has the hang of the staffs and the general features of the map. I've gotten into the high 20's multiple times as well as a high round of i believe 38 maybe all with randoms. but those came after the map had been out for a while and people had time to learn hang in there! it will get better i promise!
-
wait you did the EE but had no idea what this was? how does that work? lol just had the other players do those steps?
-
haha no friendly A I as in artificial intelligence. thats like somebody calling my skinny white man. doesn't mean its my name it just describes me. friendly ai just means he's on our team and he is computer controlled. again he has no name, but it is our right to call him by any name we choose and not be wrong
-
that's impossible dude, treyarch said he doesn't have a name. Carbon even tweeted out a ? of "what are you naming the big guy?" after buried released :edit: found the tweet Exactly my point. He has no name, so to give him one is false. His name is [insert fan name here]. No matter what [insert fan name here] is, to say that his name is [insert fan name here] is incorrect, as he has no name at all. The best thing you can do is refer to him as vague generic nouns such as guy, giant, dude, etc. To specifically give him a name just simply isn't right. One of the developers even tweeted that he was going to block people who called him a particularly infamous fan name. I simply call him the "Big Guy" because I have to call him something, so I chose to use the name the playable characters use. that was my point is how can you "mis-name" a character that has no name? you said people still mis-name the big guy, that is literally impossible you can call him turd eater, seven, Alouicious, peter peter pumpkin eater, my point is no matter what you call him you can't be wrong

it was awesome last night i played with some randoms who kept trying to do some of these glitches that got patched and went down because of it. i just laughed at their stupidity. They were plenty good players there was absolutely no need for them to try to glitch lol. There is a glitch that they didn't patch that im going to tweet to them. apparently there is a way to bypass the EE step of placing the staves in the robots,,,, not sure how, but one of the guys definitely did it
-
To sum it up, "This patch fixed about 50 different people's methods of cheating." hahahaha so true! anyway with this "one inch punch" how would one lose it? by going down and bleeding out i assume?
