for those who continue to think that shangri-la takes place on mars... we go to the moon and need PED's to survive outside and there is low gravity. the same damn thing would need to be true if shangri la was on mars. this makes absolutely no sense, and the only evidence toward this is that there is a slightly reddish colored brown mountain in the far distance. just plain nonsense. we would need space suits to survive outside on mars and the gravity would need to be about 50% of earths or so

Down/Death Co-op Point Loss - SOLVED!
The Clay Bird replied to ETEl2NAL407's topic in General Zombies Discussion
nice research! i do believe this has already been documented in duck call's zombies charts, but that was for BO1 and i suppose it could have changed -
Treyarch always does stuff on Tuesdays... which I think is a horrible way to do it. They should do DLC releases on Weekends. Yea sounds about right. Shangri-La came out June 25 last year. EVERYTHING comes out on tuesdays. games, dlc's, music albums, dvd releases. Thats just how it works. Weekend releases are not viable. I would be surprised if we don't get something sometime next week. almost halfway through june. the dlc release schedule for BO2 has been slightly ahead of BO1 dlc 1 - 2/1/11 vs. 1/29/13 dlc 2 - 5/3/11 vs. 4/16/13 it won't be long now for sure

Why so much HATE towards shotgun rank?
The Clay Bird replied to Murdah4Hire's topic in General Zombies Discussion
And to extend on that, some shotgun players can't play coop. So when you see someone suck it up in a coop game, ask them how well they play solo. I for one couldn't play coop for the longest time in bo2. Then I started playing it almost everyday and its up to par compared to my solo game. how is it any different? same principles, only difference is you need communication... idgi :? -
he's tweeted this at least 3 times now... just did again a few minutes ago... wonder why?

What to expect in the last DLC?
The Clay Bird replied to SirPlasticDucky's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i sure hope it isn't paris.... how bland. if we went to the moon for the finale of black ops 1 zombies, we better be going somewhere cooler than freakin france... -
Is Grief & Turned still affecting rank?
The Clay Bird replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Zombies Discussion
tally's and eyes are NOT rank... just an indication of how often you've played recently. I've had some terrible grief games recently and havent ranked down... idk but i think its true that only survival/tranzit mode affects ranking (might explain why i am at skull and knife rank even though my k/d overall ratio is 69 -
Why so much HATE towards shotgun rank?
The Clay Bird replied to Murdah4Hire's topic in General Zombies Discussion
well said, as K/d maybe has some to do with it, its definitely not the only thing. i was at an 85 k/d and still had just skull.... my k/d immediately after i got ranked up to dagger? 69. so there is definitely other stuff at stake. the thing i disagree with MurderMachineX on is that the fact of someone leaving or choosing not to revive or not be a "team player" has nothing to do with their rank... there are going to be team players and non team players of all different ranks. i haven't played with enough shotgun ranks to really have much of a sample size, but i have had wayyyyy too many dagger rank players rage quit just because of going down once... its not because they are trying to save their rank by not going down any more... they just stink and are terrible people. tl;dr rank and players behavior are mutually exclusive -
Why so much HATE towards shotgun rank?
The Clay Bird replied to Murdah4Hire's topic in General Zombies Discussion
explain. there is absolutely no proof to back up that claim. revives count toward it, and kills and other stuff. i've never played with really any knife or shotgun rank that are just completely awful. they all have seemed to have a really good grasp on the game... -
I have played 5 rounds recently with randoms. All 4 have mics every time. All 5 times the first person that goes down and can't be revived immediately rage quits. 100% of the time. They HAVE to put in some sort of penalty or incentive not to quit, because it just happens literally every time. I can only have about 1 decent zombies game per map pack because thats about the frequency with which i can get my friends together to play...

That was a tweet from Vonderhaar and even in the tweet he explained he has absolutely no authority in the zombies story decisions. Reading too much into this...

We talkin Black Ops 1 or WaW here? yes huge difference! lol I'm assuming WaW... otherwise that would be like a month long ordeal !

The Golden Spork and the Silver Spoon
The Clay Bird replied to MysteryMachineX's topic in Mob of the Dead
checked last night and sure enough took like 2 knives on round 9 or 10. pretty cool how we still are finding new stuff in this map a month and a half after release -
although not funny at all, the biggest noob moment of all of course is what happened last night. playing with three randoms all at least are skulls and have mics. everything going good on MotD. by 10 we have redeemer, by 15 golden spork. everyone has PaP weapons. come round 18, one guy goes down in the shower, 1 goes down in the cafe. me and other guy on roof. so all their zombies of course come rushing up stairs and we cant get down. first guy bleeds out, immediately leaves. like DUDE what did you just waste an hour of your life doing if you're going to quit the first time you go down lol. ugh people
-
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but didn't traps not count towards your kills in BO maps as well? I think MotD is probably one of the fastest maps to reach Round 100 on. Awesome job on this BSZombie! That's one hell of an accomplishment! Isn't there some sort of badass medal you can get for that? confirm on this shooter ascension trap kills for sure didnt count toward total.. much like nuke kills

Which map is better?
The Clay Bird replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
pick ups cans until you have $50 and get the season pass. 4 dlcs for the price of 3.3 die rise and mob of the dead both excellent. can't imagine that the next 2 will be any short of stellar as well if you absolutely HAVE to choose between the two go with mob, it has slightly more replay value i think -

also the cybord reticles are super sweet. havent tried the dragon ones yet -
took me the longest to get all the headshots on this gun, at first i hated using it but by the end i kind of got used to it, once u get used to it, it can be a gd gun, but isent what i would choose & the peace keeper i aint got diamond camo on that is a gd gun tho, might get diamond camo on that next, just as a lil challenege i actually didn't mind the chicom at all. it and the M8A1 were two of the easiest golds for me... love that burst fire i guess lol

if it really was a young kid, then i think this is more win than fail! I dread the day where the blue bomber (my VERY favorite games growing up in the late 80's early 90's) will be forgotten by the youth of the generation. let me think about this though... there's a guy in our group that plays alot, and coincidentally his GT is noobtar lol... but he is by no means a noob we play quite often. he is in his mid 30's but tends to get very ADD in zombies, and many of our strategies involve sticking him in an area that is fool proof. i.e. on ascension he would hide in R Kelly's closet ( our name for the flopper closet ) then wee had noobtar's corner in the biodome in moon (coincidentally also the flopper corner) but somehow he always manages to mess it up. So then die rise came out and it is just the failingest map of all time for poor noobtar... we can't go a single game without him falling down an elevator shaft or tramplesteaming off the side of the building needless to say when we want to do a serious run we try to avoid him at all costs lol

New zombie characters
The Clay Bird replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
*edit* i think it first should be mentioned that the tweet at the very bottom from Vahn in the parenthesis it reads after "Had an unorthodox idea ( and 100% unsanctioned)" so before we go crazy taking this as fact lol yeah I was about to mention that.... although Vahn has little authority in the actual direction of the zombies story, the community response to his question/suggestion seemingly can't be ignored... although let the record show those who read this forum, that the best thing ever would be a finale involving first completeing the EE from every map and then navcard/navcard tables somehow enabling a super finale epic map with the O4 and N4 all competing against the zombies in an 8 player map. hahaha i can dream can't I? -
i think percent of games quit would be more useful. A stat for quantity of quits is useless for the same reason identifying the best zombie killer as the person on the leaderboard who has killed the most. well that person has obviously played more than someone who maybe has 10,000 kills, but thats not to say the person with 10,000 kills is very good, just doesnt play often at all. but if you look and see that someone has quit 30% of all games they have started? even though it still allows for problems with small sample sizes, it would better identify chronic quitters My one little suggestion to help with getting thrown into lobbies where someone just finished and forgot to back out? just require 100% players to ready up before starting. what downside could this possibly have? that way you know at least before start that all 4 are at their controller

if you are 20 now that would put you at 16 in Nov. 2008 to think that Call of duty zombies to my kids will be like donkey kong and pitfall were to me.... oh dear

New zombie characters
The Clay Bird replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i'd say that the current characters are about as developed after 2 maps together as our original 4 were after 2 maps (der reise) I don't mind them at all, but the dynamic between Tank, Nikolai, Takeo, and Edward is sooo funny because they are from different nationalities and are so stereotypical and butt heads with one another because of it. That dynamic had time to develop though, and I think these guys will too, i'm just not sure if the new crew is quite as capable of developing like the first group
