how on earth do the jumpers, big friend from buried and zombies with hats have ANYTHING relevant to do with the storyline.? And all of your gripes about origins sound like they are coming from someone who has never played it, or isn't good enough to enjoy it. the only thing i agree with your complaints is the EE ending the game, however, this time they made it a choice to end and watch the cutscene, but you don't have to you still get the achievement.

high round games should help, but more than anything just play more... not only do you have to get the high k/d ratio, you have to sustain it over time to rank up
-
just from what has been posted so far, its apparent that this map is going to have SERIOUS replay value. loving it so far
-
cool thread! definitely keeps things fresh and interesting. Ill try to contribute if I come up with any interesting challenges
-
correct, and for the kills, revives, bullets fired, etc... all that from the whole game counts. just the rounds stop once the first player exits the game
-
so you are contending that it makes absolutely no difference if you have 30,000 points in round 1 or 0 points? that is just completely absurd. if that was actually the case, treyarch would just completely eliminate the points system and make everything free. what the hell does it matter its all the same until round 100 right? lol geez what a ridiculous contention

Is this it for black ops 2 maps?
The Clay Bird replied to Nasdaq401's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It always bums me out that I have to remember to look at these sort of things from a business standpoint... Me too. I am 99% sure it won't happen. But like you already said. i don't understand how people can get this wrong so soon after lol DLC 4 for black ops 2 was released 4 days LATER than dlc 4 for black ops 1. how do people continue to say that dlc 4 was the earliest final cod dlc release? not that hard to look up lol -
Is this it for black ops 2 maps?
The Clay Bird replied to Nasdaq401's topic in General Zombies Discussion
we've got them all my friend wouldnt be surprised if they did an update when PS3 and pc get origins to alter the maps in someway like they did adding mule kick to all the black ops 1 maps, but as far as MORE maps i dont think so -
it has many uses. of course the most useful aspect is wearing it on your back. can buy you time when reviving teammates, running small trains can keep you from double swipes from the back... also useful in powering the slates in early rounds to get the airstrike grenades as well. very very useful. if you think it is useless you just aren't doing it right

Re: bank having no change in the games difficulty? you have to be joking! You said it right there it "makes setting the game up easier" thats it! that is zombies! almost all of the maps since Shi no numa have been relatively easy once you are set up yes there are some a bit harder than others like "five" and shangri-la and origins imo, but in general once you get your perks weapons and upgrade you can go to reasonably high rounds. The bank takes the challenging part away. Origins is os fun to me because i've died so many times on round 8-10-12 because i struggled to get set up or had an early down. The bank takes 100% of the skill and decision making out of zombies. same with the weapon locker. you understand in buried i could literally pull a upgraded lsat out of the locker and be good for 30 rounds sitting at jug. i mean might as well just make a zombies shooting gallery where you get to pick your gun and just fire away/ so to conclude that point, origins and mob were WAY better from that standpoint On to your point about the easter eggs. I COMPLETELY agree with you on that. There should never be a way to end the zombies game without being torn limb from limb by the undead. I stand by that now, and will for all time. For the next game, I hope for less buildables (but 1 or 2 is okay. the staffs i thought were really intuitive and fun for all 4 players to be able to weild a wonder weapon with some work) i hope for more innovation in new perks and weaponry (think how innovative it was to have the ballistis knives upgrade into a long range revive tool, or the awful lawton as a monkey bomb of sort. none of the black ops 2 weapons had any sort of great extra power when upgraded) and bring back private matches, lobby leaderboards, and totally revamp the rankings system into a prestige like system. let the leaderboards show your skill, and the prestige can show your dedication as a player. fiinally i think beginning with mob of the dead, the updating of the HUD for each map, and the musical changes within different areas of the map or as things are completed added SO much. that alone was the single most successful innovation for black ops 2 zombise

Air Strike Monkeys w/o Thunder Fists by Round 5
The Clay Bird replied to yourmapper's topic in Origins
right thats where i was agreeing with ya. just too hard to fill up the chests with so few zombies per round in solo early rounds -
It would be nice for a small amount of people, but that simply just is never going to happen...
-
While this may be true, the similarities between the design of Mob of the Dead and Origins have to indicate that someone or some team specifically had more influence and say in what went into those two maps. with the "quest items" shown when the back button is pressed to the side quest ending the game, to no bank or weapons fridge... plus many more im sure im forgetting. I'm not disputing that the campaign guys help out with aspects of all the zombies stages, but it seems quite obvious to me that there was a different lead crew on Mob and Origins than on the other 3

Air Strike Monkeys w/o Thunder Fists by Round 5
The Clay Bird replied to yourmapper's topic in Origins
Why didn't you like the fists in tranzit? I really despise the fists in this map. At least in solo. No point really in getting them. eh if you can get them early on, they could be rather helpful. they are one hit til at least 16 i believe so they are longer effective than the galvas, and although i somewhat agree with you regarding solo, they are pretty easy to get in a 4 player match -
I much prefer the exclusion of bank and fridge. Way2g00 made a great guide to getting set up by round 10 on origins. Kudos to him for that, but why was there a need for that? because you actually had to think and strategize and use points wisely, rather than pulling out 30k, rolling box until get raygun and ww, and buy all perks and poof round 50. By buried it had gotten so easy and so far away from what made zombies so addictive in the first place, that i simply didn't have fun with it anymore The only place where I think the campaign maps failed is the game ending side quest. the game should simply not end on zombies, and that is something i've been very vocal about all along. The main fail on zombies this game i feel was the EE's... they were either too hard or too easy, and only buried's had a reward worth completing it for. I will defend the origins EE, in that the steps basically consist of constructing weapons or abilities that help you survive longer, but i still think for putting in all that time a permaperk reward, or even a wonder weapon armory or whatever could have realy made it a fun end to the quest. overall, i have to say over the coming year, zombies wise, i guarantee i will spend more time playing Mob of the Dead, Origins, and black ops 1 zombies, than i will Tranzit--die rise--buried

It will be called Cod Z and MP will just be an extra bonus game mode at the end of the campaign I wouldn't even hate this. I voted maybe. In a fourth game I can only see it getting taken too far, but what the hell happens next seriously? Also, I'm sure they're aware of the people that buy the game only for zombies. 3 games in 1 is still a thing they push I think. They made Call of the Dead, and Mob of the Dead, which easily could have left out any "zombies storyline" characteristics and would have held up very well on their own. Believe me yes we have a deep connection now with some of our zombies characters, but they could VERY easily continue with the zombies game mode even if our story as we know it has already been fully told :edit: sorry for the triple post. wish this board had the option to "multi quote" and click on all the posts you'd like to respond to individually in one post

If that were the case, then why didn't the loading screen have that blueprint in it? so do you think the next map will also be set in the year 1915? or at least if the next map "after" buried is based on that next page, thats what it would indicate
-
now that I look at that upper right of the buried loading screen, I think that might just be the blueprint of some sorts related to origins. notice the year 1915 there as well in the upper right

Call of Duty Zombie Mcfarlane Figures
The Clay Bird replied to AlphaSnake's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Oh yeah, I'd get all of the O4 and put them on my desk at work lol -
i feel like this is a sufficient explanation, in my opinion anyway

Hey guys, just taking a moment today to express how much fun I have had over the past year with all you guys theorizing, complaining, being excited, being impatient etc.! lol This really is a great community. I've gotten to play with many of you;, BS, perfect, Way2G00, Naitrax, experiment 117, just to name a few, and its been a blast. i hope to get to play with many more of you as well that I havent gotten to yet. Its been a great ride, and although I'm gonna be enjoying Ghosts, and some other games as well over the next year, ill still definitely be looking forward hopefully to the build up to the next cod zombies game. Cheers to all of you, Mods, Admins for helping to make this such a cool community :D

although I don't see this happening, I have to say the likelihood of eventually seeing DLC continue even through the release of a new COD game is certainly increasing. And I say this mainly because it seems that Cod players now are almost certainly a Infinity Ward player or a Treyarch player. now this is obviously for multiplayer, but i think zombies has garnered enough fans that continued dlc for another year could prove to be profitable .
