I was getting ready to say. Don't put all your eggs in that basket. I'm just saying that it is HEAVILY implied. right, Oh i still have an open mind until everything has been discovered, but if this is the case, and throughout the course of the map there is no evidence that Richtofen successfully transplanted the brain to another body, then the whole storyline is a sham. based on the moon radios where we here maxis being shot... if they are going with an alternate reality thing here, this is what i predict and why: *there was by and large very little support for the N4 characters (yes i know some of us liked them, but im generalizing here) *overwhelming support for bringing back the O4, so they did. *moon currently ends the O4's story as they are stuck on the moon and the earth is blown up. *plans in the works for a 3rd black ops OR different title but a treyarch CoD game that will include zombies. *3arc doesn't want to make the same mistake twice with new characters, so they creat Origins as a prequel to a toally different timeline for the O4 which they will progress through in the next treyarch cod game Thats about the only way i can formulate in my head for any alternate reality nonsense
-
Remember, this may be an alternate dimension. This may not have even happened in the N4/Moon O4 timeline. Which is a load of bull crap. if this is really the case, I'm totally over the zombie storyline, and care about nothing but gameplay... however there may be more to find out here

well I was definitely right in my prediction of the map being difficult. I think we are easily at or above "Five" and Shangri-La in terms of difficulty. Only played solo for about 30 minutes, but from the looks of things, we got the anti-buried here difficulty wise lol

*SPOILERS* Origins Gameplay Videos *SPOILERS*
The Clay Bird replied to LiamFTWinter's topic in Origins
well... the only thing I'm even the slightest bit concerned about is simple playability, since there is no real map knowledge or strategic thoughts, but as far as simple cool and WOW factor, Oh myyyyy... I mean there's just so much cool stuff. Its going to take a long time to uncover all the secrets here i think. SO So SO excited -
Just to add perhaps a little more precision, I live in Missouri which is pretty much smack dab in the middle of the Central time zone, and the map has been available between 4:30-4:50 each and every time so far... i have my alarm set for 4:45, will go back to sleep while it downloads... maybe play once before i have to leave for work, and then play the shit out of it when i get home! :P

wasn't it just 100g for the big bang theory? and like 50 or 75 for cryogenic slumber party? either way, I really am a bit surprised they didn't do something like that since it was so popular last go around with moon.

The xbox update? or just the black ops 2 update? i haven't done the xbox update, but after the black ops 2 update the box in the courthouse on buried is still lit up accurately to reflect the EE's i've done but the map select screen does not light up at all on any of them
-
Probably all bronze except the EE. That's pretty much how it's been. this is correct. the Lost Little Girl one is silver, the rest bronze
-
Then why have they never mentioned that before? here's the problem with that. What's the point of creating a map totally based on it being "the very beginning of the zombies story" calling it origins, and then saying its an alternate reality and has nothing to do with the events in black ops and waw.? You may be right, but damnit this whole "alternate reality time travel" bullshit is really effing up the story in my opinion...

And that is certainly an MP-40 in Nikolai's hands.... maybe making a triumphant return?? I can'[t express how excited i am for this map! -
lol that would not do Activision or Treyarch any good whatsoever

So, we have a new map releasing next Tuesday as everyone is well aware. The topic I would like to address today is the pack-a-punch. A couple of things to discuss and theorize on, is will we have a "pack-a-punch" machine at all, or will we be upgrading in a different manner. and then secondly assuming there is a physical pack-a-punch machine, what camo will we be seeing on the guns afterward. Will it be the purple and green swirl like with the N4 maps? will it be the flaming illuminati skin a la Mob of the Dead? we got a reimagining of the WaW pack-a-punch camo released as a multiplayer camo, since this is the "origins" maybe that will be the skin? or will it be a completely new PaP design?! feel free to discuss and vote in the polls! personally I think we may be upgrading in a whole new way, but if we do use the PaP machine, i'm going to vote for the WaW camo updated with the gold trim like in multiplayer can't wait to find out!

The Rift was already mended in Buried in Richtofen's endgame... Yeah but knowing Treyarch they'd probably say the rift isn't mended correctly. Also we don't know if Origins is set after Maxis' endgame. i'm pretty sure we know this is a prequel. this is quite onviously long before any of the events that took place with our N4. I just think folks who think this is after the maxis endgame are wanting too badly for it to advance that part of the story, but I don't think we'll get that until next 3arch game
-
Love the ideas mate! i am super pumped to find out what these are/do. my theory on it is you will be able to build the staff, and then based on what elemental power you find you can make it whatever. so like you have the staff, and idk maybe it has some sort of power w/o elemental or is a melee or something, but then you find different elemental power sources throughout the map and you power it with those into whatever element it is my 2 cents. should be epic next tuesdaY!
-
nah i think that is referring to the 1,000 foot tall robot guess only time will tell
-
Yeah, I think (and this is obviously just guessing) we may find that "samantha" isn't necessarily just a little girl. i think we may be releasing more than that.... Can't wait. And I have to imagine and hope that the reward for completing this EE is innovative and epic

As other have mentioned, it's not a big deal, just an old easter egg that I'd forgotten about. People thought it related to TranZit because of the 2 towers, and Nuketown because of the nuke. The logo is not the same: it says 601 in the middle instead of 935. lol well duh I didn't mean that the 935 logo had 601 in the middle lol, just the image
-
mind elaborating on that? 935 has the same logo, what would make you think it is 601 related as opposed to 935
-
This. Completely. Took the words right from my mouth. and the worst part about it, is that there is an entire group of players who experienced zombies for the very first time on tranzit and thus any map that does not have a fridge and bank to them are going to "suck" i just can't wait for origins not to have a bank or fridge and all the noobies to bitch and bitch and bitch and its going to be a awesome map and they are going to miss it because "wahhh i cant get any moneys out of the banks"

Locking the Box without letting it move gives bad weapons?

Is the seasons pass worth it?
The Clay Bird replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thinking about it now and I just don't think it's worth what i'm paying for it I mean that is a bit expensive considering what you get. If I was also getting it for multiplayer maps then I would buy but since i'm only paying for zombies it's just not worth money. I can definitely see that viewpoint of it as well. also keep in mind at some point in the future they may offer a sale of sorts on the individual packs so once CoD ghosts is in full swing, atvi might cut a deal on some of the blops2 map packs who knows :) -
Is the seasons pass worth it?
The Clay Bird replied to Your Dearest Sailor's topic in General Zombies Discussion
here's the way i look at it from purely a zombies perspective. we only get one zombies game every 2 years (hopefully the pattern continues) so i need to be able to keep myself entertained over a full 2 year period. $50 is a small price to pay for what amounts to basically a separate game of zombies with 4 extra maps and in this year's case some extra modes as well. i personally think it's well worth it, but of course each individual's financial situation is different, as well as the fact I play multiplayer as well so for a zombies only person it may be different. i just wish they had a season pass back when WaW and Black ops 1 were going it would have saved me $20 or so -
just by their looks, I could see the O4 being in their 50's in der reise times. 50 y/o isn't a decrepit old person, they could still be very formidable soldiers in this sort of story. but Maxis and Samantha I can't really explain unless a) maxis with the discovery of 115 is able to use it to prolong his life or prevent aging, and/or samantha the little girl we know is named after a previous person or entity that had great influence on Maxis those are just ways i can rationalize it in my head, but again at this point I have far more questions than answers
