NO! NO! NO! NO! that was the worst! needs an EE like moon where it DEFINITELY gives us some finality and closure on the story the map is telling, but allows you to continue. The ability for a zombies game to end any other way than to be devoured by the undead is just wrong. call me old fashioned, but i really hated that about the MotD ee...

Going back to BO2 misty poster.
The Clay Bird replied to Tattoo247's topic in General Zombies Discussion
yeah no brainer. what is call of duty's main target audience? males age 15-35 sex sells. what better way to promote your game to this demographic than a hot chick with huge cans holding a zombie head and a shotgun. nothing more than that -
The UNanswered Questions of BO2 Zombies
The Clay Bird replied to Infected115's topic in General Zombies Discussion
what do you mean different from die rise? if you are loading a multiplayer game then you see the comic book page, if you are playing solo then you see the cinematic cut scene... -
yeah you should be able to do the one you don't have lit up currently

TranZit 4 are Dead, Original 4 will return next map
The Clay Bird replied to FatedTitan's topic in Buried
LOL again! Vahn never said to kill them off! he tweeted an opinion question asking which crew people liked better. the O4 were the majority so he retweeted some of those responses. he did not say it he just retweeted what others like you and I said. this has caused so much confusion lol -
its interesting to think that Samantha, playing with our 4 friends in her "sandbox", was actually perhaps protecting them from a harsher reality. now to get timeframes correct, Der Reise was not place in the 30's but sometime after 10/1/45 per viewtopic.php?f=100&t=11967 (fantastic thread by Tac regarding timeframes all backed by specific evidence) so I don't think that der reise and mob of the dead happening concurrently while the darkness or whatever you are calling it is controlling the majority of the world and Sam is just in charge of that little bubble near Breslau Germany. also disagree that every map is in its own time bubble. in the early maps Waw and early black ops 1 these maps were very chronological in their order. Don't know if you're relatively new to the zombies full story as opposed to just black ops 2's part, but we pretty much know without a doubt the time frames and chronological order of what has taken place. has there been some time travel? yes via the MPD and DG-2. interesting theory nonetheless. it is something we have to think about, as with the monumental success of zombies in BO1 and 2 i can't imagine them abandoning it for the game in 2014. if they resolve the Richtofen/Maxis family feud in the last DLC there would have to be somewhere to go further... good read though my friend thanks for posting

although I can reminisce with the best of them about nazi zombies, there's no way they could go all the way back to that rather simplistic style now. It's gotten too big. The only real complaint I have is that the game has become to side quest intensive, and has gotten away from the original allure of the mode. In black ops 1 zombies screen remember what it said? something along the lines of "try to survive endless waves of the undead" in Mob of the Dead hell you can end the game without being devoured by zombies! total opposite of the point of the game dont get me wrong i love the side quests, but they need to take a back seat to the game pla of killing zombies

ATTN Treyarch (Please fix) - Green mist + Paralyzer is OP
The Clay Bird replied to Dahniska's topic in Buried
This. At first I thought you were overreacting Dahniska, and then i finally had some time to play a solo game for a bit last night, and I have to kinda agree with this. I don't think they should do anything about it particularly, its just going to be an easy map. Its not the first. they didnt do anything to nerf the thundergun on ascension... no need to nerf anything here. Just have to take it for what it is, and realize that 50 is not a particularly impressive round on this particular map -
wow lol. anger management anyone? the thing I found that makes this easiest is to count the targets as you shoot them. in the written EE guide stickied in the forum it posts how many targets are in each place. once i started counting mine out loud, i had MUCH better success. relayed this tip to my teammates who were relative zombie novices (had never done any EEs on any map bo1 or 2 before) and we had the thing done in 15-20 minutes from there... now of course, doing it with 3 new people it could easily take a bunch of time while they learn the patterns, but if you count and correlate the number to the target it became much easier for me.

Rate Black Ops II: Zombies so far.
The Clay Bird replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is highly inaccurate. There is no new engine, they switched engines from SP to MP for Zombies. This change doesn't come at the expense of better wonder weapons, or restrictions on the amount of content in a map. "More lag" is the result of either your internet not being able to handle the game, or horrible hosts mixed with terrible net-code on Treyarch's side. That's all scripting you're talking about, now it does come at the expense of the amount of detail Treyarch can put in each map. SP Engine > MP Engine in terms of graphics, particles and FX amounts and overall detail. Also moving back to the original (SP) engine, but keeping more players and host migration is near impossible. Those are all MP features, so unless they re-write the SP engine to support that, not gonna happen. The host migration is useless anyway. when they said host migration, I assumed they meant like in MP when if the current hosts connection drops and causes too much lag, the game will try to find a more suitable host. This DOES NOT happen in zombies. Host Migration only happens when the host quits out of a public match. SO this only allows a public match to continue if the host quits... BUT! once someone quits, then the remainder of the match doesnt count toward the leaderboards! Useless! -
in the above video MrRoflWaffles states this to be false as the guy he was playing with that got the ray gun had certainly been past round 4 on die rise before

Buried Location Is Congo & Characters Dead Round Infinity?
The Clay Bird replied to eyeofthepirate's topic in Buried
oh yeah no need for apologies! kudos for going out and doing some research thats what we need more of!! :D -
not discussing that though, I guess my final thought on this theory is that its possible MotD is like CotD in a way. the characters in both I don't think are directly related to the story line. same with George and Ferguson/Brutus. But I do think its possible that the "controller" or whatnot in MotD could make a reappearance in the story down the road. giving it some significance even though its not directly related to the map itself. much like the sidequest on CotD gave us some insicght on how the guys got from ascension to shangri la, but didnt neccessarily advance the story other than simply explaining their method of transportation. of course CotD had awesome radios which were story related so thats a bit different

Are persistent perks making the game easy?
The Clay Bird replied to DaPikmin's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't know about too easy, but they are annoying as hell. when i'm playing just a leisurely game with a focus on killing zombies and in one round i see 3 random flashes of green light and 2 rounds later the sound of 5 upgrades being lost, and i never knew what I had in the first place? Making the game wayyyy too busy, I dont want to care about doing all these little tasks and mini-challenges to get these mystery light flashes, i just want to shoot the damn zombies -
I totally agree. The persistent upgrades are annoying because A) many it is guesswork or random as to how we get them and lose them (not all but some). it negates some of the strategy of choosing your perks. I thought that was part of the greatness of moon is that there were 8 perks and you had to choose which 4 you wanted. no perk bottles, just 4 perks unless you do the EE. and that is why that map trumps all IMO

Buried! Future DLC's AND CHARACTERS!
The Clay Bird replied to eyeofthepirate's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Love your enthusiasm, but the map name is Resolution 1295 not 1925. 1925 does relate to the Congo, but 1295 relates to Angola 8-) -
Buried Location Is Congo & Characters Dead Round Infinity?
The Clay Bird replied to eyeofthepirate's topic in Buried
well, UN security council Resolution 1925 does in fact relate to Congo. Unfortunately this map is not Resolution 1925 it it 1295 which UN Security Council resolution 1295 is directly related with angola. sorry! good thinking though, and i dont think necessarily our characters will be dead in the next map i think they will realize that their following of the "voices" has been wrong all a long and they need to take what knowledge they've collected along the way and stop Maxis and Richtofen both before they can destroy the earth For anyone who has played Myst, that ending is what i have in mind here -
Most Unfitting Music To Hear While Playing Zombies
The Clay Bird replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
You're being sarcastic, right?! Lol... Dubstep doesnt go well with life in general. and it certainly isnt music. just electronic noises. we can only hope this genre of noise goes by the wayside fast like disco any sort of hard rock is good for killing in general whether its zombies or the general public in multiplayer -
I sort of see Abel's point. If at least some maps DO return in Black Ops 2, then I see them having some slight changes. If they were to make, Verruckt for example, a third time with no changes, then why would I play it on Black Ops 2, the worst of the trilogy? Things will be implemented or taken away from the returning maps. I'm nu here too! Hello. well personally the reason I would play the old maps on black ops 2 is to experience them with the new weapons, but more so, because have you tried to find a lobby of verruckt on black ops 1 or waw? much better chance of getting a good game when you're searching out of thousands of people rather than tens. ALSO what a great way to include people who just discovered zombies in black ops 2 or just started playing COD games in general in the progression of maps and the back story to black ops 2! i dont think they are going to do this, but i just made myself super excited for if they did lol

Rate Black Ops II: Zombies so far.
The Clay Bird replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I think that the EE and it's implementation in tranzit may be what I hate about it most. A) it really did barely anything for the story (it showed us that Maxis and Richtofen were competing against one another, although only brand new zombies folks that didnt play the previous games didnt already know that) and gave us literally ZERO back story on our new characters. Hell really we still no nothing other than Russman was in project whatever and Stu can hear voices in his head. thats it that's all we have. the tranzit EE had literally no reward, thus gave me no incentive to attempt it. that and the whole thing is glitchy as hell (notably hitting HIM with an EMP under the tower and using the EMP's at the lampposts). It was a very ambitious idea, and kudos for them for trying to do something different, but as we can see with the next 3 maps returning to classic kill the zombies then open doors/clear debris with your points format, that they realized that the tranzit style was certainly not what we wanted out of zombies -
The Zombie Storyline is in a different dimension from our world. I don't really know what else you want me to explain to you? Here's a new, little idea. If you were to see the Classic Maps resurrected again, why will our four characters be in those designated areas again? Would it be to: re-write history, to feed the beast, to redeem ourselves? Maybe the demonic announcer you hear from World at War to Black Ops isn't Samantha? It would be hilarious if it actually was The Editor himself helping your way through the maps. However, those worlds are disintegrating- funnily enough, and the world could be what we had seen in Hellcatraz. What if from The Night to The Giant, it is literally Hell on Earth? What would you say to that? it's fine to hypothesize this, but you need some sort of substantial evidence or proof from the game to validate the claim. I can say The sun is purple. but without some sort of evidence of that being true my claim holds no water. I just want to know what in game quotes, radios, signs, evidence whatever you are referencing to make that claim. and if they brought back the classic maps like they did in black ops 1, I think it would be to let people have some fun on old maps... nothing more. are you saying when we played those maps on black ops we were somehow rewriting the history of those maps on WaW? now that's cooky talk

I believe our Arlington has two split personalities. "The Weasel"- Being his innocent self, humane & smart- & "The Editor"- horrible, arrogant, distasteful, intelligent and evil. I think "The Weasel" is a self defense mechanism. "The Editor " could may as well be his real self. I also mentioned to one person (I actually thought you guys knew this already) That Alcatraz (Or Hellcatraz) are two Worlds colliding, and I believe that to be the future of Zombies. The real-world colliding with the Z-World. Think of the events of Moon, but on a BIGGER scale. Also, if you're talking about where the Zombies started to rise, I'd tell you to go two decades back, and to look at Alcatraz again. You should watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_JiMah2o5A It's interesting. I'm curious as to what you mean by "the real world colliding with the Z-world"? obviously cod zombies is a fictional story, set in our "real world" as it was in WW2 to begin with. yes there have been some events in this tale that have caused some timeframes to be explained only by time travel / rifts in time etc. But are you suggesting that for some reason that the entire zombies story is on some distant planet or alternate universe, and then the storyline has in store for us this fictional alternate plane of reality colliding with our actual reality as it is now? Check me if i'm wrong but I don't think even back in black ops times anyone with any say in the story and its direction had determined that this whole story (which really didn't even start developing into an actual story until shi no numa, the rest was back-added to provide commentary to the first couple of maps)was taking place in some made up alternate plane of existence. if thats not what you mean by that statement by all means let me know though

I do agree that perhaps we may be going inside the earth to Agartha, and if so it will be interesting how they design it being that it is a fictional place without really muc to go on in terms of look feel etc. Sorry, but Elena is not going to be returning for this game, if she was she already would have. Love KS's music and Malukah has done a great job on the last 2.. I think we will hear about the O4, perhaps even hear from them, but at this point i think they are long gone and we won't be playing as them not too much longer until we know!

Rate Black Ops II: Zombies so far.
The Clay Bird replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I can see that side of it, and it makes me understand why I hate it. The size, the distances, its all way too much. it makes zombies too time consuming. perhaps why i've gotten to love grief so much because you can play zombies for 40 minutes and feel like you've gotten to completion of the game. Thanks for clarifying your position though MMX! :D
