  1. I love TranZit. L.O.V.E. TranZit. It's a matter of opinion. And I love all the maps. Glad to see I'm not alone though guys. I'm seeing that more people really love tranzit than i thought possible, so if you don't mind, let me know some of the reasons why you love it? maybe im missing something that i should go back and take a second look
  2. haha, no it wasn't just your post, i've read a handful of posts on the forum since Vahn tweeted about that acting like the final word as been spoken about the fate of the tranzit 4. you just got your quote in my rant lol. Not your fault for seeing the tweet out of context, because Vahn has since deleted his original tweets on it
  3. I actually enjoyed tranzit A LOT. And then I started reading all this negative feedback and thats what made me dislike it a little bit more. I still like it but everyone's negative feedback can kill your opinion. I can see that side of it, but it just had too much bad and not enough good for me. Especially those who BO2 is their first zombie experience many will hold Tranzit in high regard much like those who got their start in Kino on BO1 love it, and Nacht holds a special place in our hearts for those of us who have been killing the undead since 2008 lol. I hope most dont let others opinions sway theres though, for instance the guys post directly above mine had exact opposite opinions on several things than me. My knee jerk reaction was "YOURE WRONG!" then i thought.... ya know what, he's not me and i'm not him we don't have to agree lol
  4. Source? @DavidVonderhaar Ok, kill them and bring back the original guys. from Twitter I can't believe how many people took this out of context and touted it as fact. Vahn had asked previous to this tweet "HYPOTHETICALLY" and with no authority to do so as he stated himself, whether fans liked the new zombies 4 characters or preferred the original 4. the majority responded bring back the original 4 so he retweeted some of the responses. Vahn himself never said that above quote, and in the end its not up to him anyway
  5. First off, to anyone who rated it a 10/10, you must have either never played tranzit, or its been so long that you forgot how unbelievably terrible it is. That aside, I'm in the group that before making a final assessment I will need to see what the final DLC's hold for us, but overall out of 10 I would give BO2 zombies a 6.5/10 take out Tranzit and i would give it an 8/10. Black Ops 1 was an 8/10 solidly and probably a 9.5/10 had Kino Der Toten been more impressive. Pros: The stats tracking has been awesome and fun to follow along with. Grief is very fun. The characters are starting to develop although we still don't really know WHY any of them interact with each other like they do (i.e. marlton hating russman, misty hating stuhlinger etc.) Story has progressed a lot but again, it really just seems like an entirely different story as opposed to an extension of the BO1/WAW story line. Cons: The EE's have become so popular i guess in BO1, that treyarch seemed to make them the focus of BO2 zombies, as opposed to surviving. It should be the opposite. The EE should be something optional, not the very first thing that i get when i start the game and build a turbine (re: maxis talking thus starting the side quest) they had perfect balance in BO1. you could literally play the map 50 times and have no idea there was a side quest if you weren't looking for it. The wonder weapons have been lackluster up until the blundergat/vitriolic withering, and now the paralyzer. they finally got back to their roots and made them box weeapons thank god. and the major cons/game breakers: no private match mode is a HUGE oversight. really screwed the pooch here. lastly no lobby leaderboards and the inclusion of rank has caused major difficulty in finding games and not having quitters once a game does start. (rarely EVER had a rage quit in black ops 1 with randoms)
  6. A lot actually I feel, through it depends on which side you do, ethier side sets up for a climatic ending in whatever the final map is (Agartha, Paris, etc) i swear to god if the grand finale map is in Paris i'm going to be soooooo mad. How boring would that be. gotta be somewhere totally new and crazy... i expect some interdimensional traveling of some sort in the last map
  7. in theory maybe, but in tranzit the EE is so glitchy on the maxis side, and on the rich side trying to get EMPs is such a bitch since the boxes are fucking miles apart from each other. havent done die rise, tried a couple weeks ago with some guys from here but we had a disconnect. that one seems relatively simple. geez i've tried the tranzit one so many times, and it just won't freakin work
  8. so this means that if i have done the buried EE maxis side, but i have 3 friends that want to do it, I can't help them? i would have to do the Rich side first, before being able to do maxis again?
  9. the guys I did the EE with last night did say they lost their third gun when they went down, i went down one time after finishing the egg but kept all 3 guns.... so idk what to make of it.... does seem to be a shade glitchy, but I honestly can't remember if it was like that on Moon or Shangri-la either
  10. Can we add favorite EE to this too? ok.. Favorite layout - Ascension. It had all the elements from a great map, camping spots, trainable areas, unique scenery and areas. this map rekindled my zombie love after being quite disappointed by Kino. Favorite starting room - also Ascension. the centrifuge was so fun... plus its all black and white which was SUCH a surprise the first time you load it up. Favorite map for wall weapons - Die Rise. there are so many of them scattered about there is always one close, however if you go too far past one, you probably can't retreat back to it without going around the whole map again. love the SVU too. and AN-94. Honorable mention goes to Call of the Dead with the MP-40 there on the boat and AK74u on the lighthouse. Map with best Wonder Weapon - has to be Moon with the Zap/Wave gun. although Buried and the Paralyzer/Petrifier are quickly ascending up the list Favorite way to access Pack-a-Punch - Moon. Going back to NML and having to take turns PaP'ing while avoiding zombies and hellhounds... especially after the EE and it looks like the Earth has gone to complete shit. So awesome. Map with best Traps - Not a whole lot to choose from really here, but I'll go with Shi No Numa for the flogger. Try to tell me that's not the most menacing looking trap in zombies history Favorite map for special enemies - Ill go with Call of the Dead for George Romero. partly because he is the zombie king, but also because of the challenge but awesome reward for disposing of him. Favorite way to get free perk - As hard as it was I loved the challenge of getting a free perk out of a max ammo drop on Shangri La. really had to make a decision between the chance of a free perk, and the almost constant desire of maximum ammunition. Favorite EE - I have to say Moon. Although I have a feeling they will top that with the last dlc for black ops 2, It is just to awesome watching those rockets hit the earth from space. Plus it was challenging yet fun to complete as well, as opposed to the black ops 2 EE's which I find tedious and mostly boring
  11. I finally did this last night with some old buddies that i hadn't even ever played zombies with before... they were all decent though. Did the maxis side, It did take us every bit of 3 hours to do though. to go through a second time we could do it in 1-1.5 hours though, because memorizing the pattern for the wisp, the bells, and the shooting range took time, but now that we know it, i can't imagine it taking that long again. For those who are having a hard time with the sharpshooter part (and it sounds like many are) I agree the PDW is great i think not only because of its large magazine and fast reload, but it also has a small hip fire spread which helps i think. The other thing that really pushed us over the hump was to begin counting your targets. In the first post it tells you how many targets are at each area, so as soon as i started counting each one, I started to realize where I was missing and even memorize the pattern. once we started this, it maybe took 10 more tries to do it. Was a fun EE, but good lord they have really stepped up the difficulty in black ops 2 compared to BO 1. I was able to complete all 4 EE's on black ops 1 really pretty easily (except for you damn tunnel 6) and often times even with randoms. I have paired up with several of you guys and several of my friends and this is the first one i've been able to have success with. Kudos to treyarch if difficulty is what they were going for lol
  12. ohhh there will be zombies in the next dlc.... you bet your ass there will be lol ;)
  13. oh you definitely lose it.... usually after only one damage taking fall.
  14. I like it like this. It's free Flopper lol. If you're careful, you'll never lose it. But even if you do, it's extremely easy to get back. yeah and it's used ALL the time in grief
  15. When you complete either egg you get all perks that you can keep when you are down. With the full endings you receive extra rewards. Richtofen will give you: Unlimited fire-sale and a variant of Mule Kick that allows you to hold 4 weapons instead of the usual 3. (Not so sure about Maxis) But I believe he gives you random Zombies with blue eyes instead of Orange that give you 500 points when they are killed. so glad we finally get the perma-perks.. finaly an EE i may be able to convince my regular group to do since there is a viable benefit to doing it
  16. So can we get a confirmation of the results of the EE's? Obviously the perma perks which is great, but i'm also hearing special stuff for rich's side like a perma fire-sale and a 4th gun slot? what are the exact specifics on this?
  17. that's the kicker, is that they still have to make maps that are fun and playable for casual players who care/know nothing about the story and easter eggs. I think they have teetered on this fine like very closely with buried. imagine someone who buys black ops 2 used and downloads all the mpa packs and they choose buried first... its going to be super super tough for them to get into it. That's how i started my zombies experience in WaW and i fear they are now too far into the EE's now that the maps are really less maps and more of levels or missions
  18. wow that is sooo awesome! thanks!
  19. this combined with the Mark II, and i will certainly spend some time in die rise again... tranzit, not so much, more than likely only to complete the EE(s)
  20. I believe that box has been confirmed to show EE/navcard progress for each member of the team. Not confirmed, but i believe once the buried egg is finally completed something very cool will happen with this box or in general if all 3 eggs are completed by the same side and all 3 navcards are inserted
  21. ahhh thats why mine is blank... :(:(
  22. nah that's not a reference to huck finn, it's referring to the quote from the movie Tombstone.... but i agree with your point, nobody get mad if someone isnt calling him the same name that you do, just be clear that this is who you're referring to
  23. I've been hearing that the electric symbols coming out of die rise are because the tranzit navcard can be inserted on die rise. i'm hearing the buried navcard can be inserted on tranzit? somebody should try this and test
  24. The Clay Bird

    Tranzit

    wow very interesting, nice find
  25. my goodness what a run-on sentence. there is already a thread or 4 about this in the Buried sub-forum... no need for another one here
