thing is though, the announcer voice we've been hearing since verruckt maybe? for max ammos etc. is confirmed to be sam's because we hear her voice when filling up the tubes at the pyramid in the moon easter egg and it's obviously the same voice. this designates that as far as a point in time, this map is before richtfen was trapped in the pyramid, but i think it perhpas lends that the power ups announcer isn't neccessarily "in control" of the zombies. perhaps the eye color and announcer don't necessarily have to be one and the same?

Looks jsut like a straight blade knife to me... if it was a sickle, it would have a very distinct shadow from that angle being curved. Also if you look in the screenshot of our heroes for this map, the guy on the far left, madsen I believe, definitely is holding a tomahawk!

NEW Mob of the Dead Preview Trailer Analysis + Screenshots
The Clay Bird replied to InfestLithium's topic in Mob of the Dead
ahaha just now got the pun/play on words of the new perk. Electric Cherry. Electric Chair. maybe at some point may have to go to the electric chair row with electric cherry and all reload at once as part of the side quest? -
So I was re=-watching the preview trailer today and watched our good friend LiamFTWinter's analysis vid and it got me to thinking. We see the Blundergat which looks like a quad barrel shotgun. then we see what appears to be an upgraded version which fires what looks like spikes or darts that explode green. (we see also in the video an "acid trap" which is also green) so i think here we are seeing the blundergat upgraded to an acid tipped dart shooting deal. Now shift gears to later in the video we see first a third person image with the guy shooting the AK-47. then we see a "pack-a-punched" ak-47 as Reznov's revenge. Liam notices that it seems almost to have an "on-fire" type quality to it. HMMM so we have one weapon which upgraded shows acidic qualities. Another shows fire qualities. both have different skins/camos for being upgraded. I think we may finally have the option of upgrading the same gun into different incarnations almost with different elemental attributes?! might be via pack-a-punch, might be by different means. anyway just a theory of mine, we will know in about 8 days i guess, but in the mean time feel free to discuss this and/or other pack-a-punch theories in this thread! :D

Black Ops-Mule Kick offline patch
The Clay Bird replied to ZombieSlayerNater's topic in General Zombies Discussion
you don't have to play with other people, just signed onto xbl or psn whichever. you can still play solo mode and as long as you're loggeed on mule kick will be there -

The community asks when will we get our beloved original characters back, we want takeo nikolai and tank back... so what do they do? give us 4 completely new different characters! lol jk, but seems like a really cool premise... there's not many more badass things than mobsters

Mob of the Dead Discussion/ Trailer Analysis
The Clay Bird replied to JMDogg's topic in Mob of the Dead
The same thing was said about the characters in Call of the Dead, and look how that turned out. Storyline was amazing, map layout was amazing, and it was perfectly balanced. the story of the map was ok, but its significance directly to the zombies storyline was minimal. obviously there were several radios which def helped the backstory, but as far as advancing the story all it really did was teleport the O4 from one place to another.... it was really just bridging the gap so to speak -
took big advantage of 2x XP weekends and played a lot of KC running around collecting tags. K/D suffered mightily but i leveled up super fast lol. still my k/d is better in this one than it was in BO 1. which is 1.13 and MW3 was 1.06. MW2 was the first cod i really played a lot of MP and my k/d was like .75 in that one so i've come a long ways lol
-
idk if BO2 has this, but past cod games have usually had a "barebones" playlist, with either no scorestreaks, or set score streaks for everybody like UAV, care package, air strike or simething at 3,5,7 kills point is though, regardless of tactics, if you get that much score without dying, you deserve the advantage of the score streak. if you dont want them ruining the game, kill them :)

Is this Maxis picture real?
The Clay Bird replied to JuggerWicho's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I Always imagine Dr. Maxis looking like Dr. Light from Mega Man. And Richtofen is kinda my Dr. Wily -
jeez man quit bringin us down with your god damn negativity. the "it costs too much" complaint is stupid. i played yesterday on die rise to get the achievement when you dont turn the power on til after 10. well by 10 i had 20000 pts. if points are a problem for you, you probably are a box spammer which is an evil all unto itself.
-
I actually remember a significant amount of hate toward mule kick when BO2 first came out, because a few people complained it wasnt in green run, and that was met with much hostility saying that it "made the game to easy" oor that it "wasn't necessary" personally I love it. allows for a wall gun, M&S and a good box gun. all upside no downside as far as i can see it

Official Ranking System Discussion and Theories
The Clay Bird replied to way2g00d's topic in General Zombies Discussion
so just curious what is the highest K/D ratio anyone has seen WITHOUT at least knife. i have a 78 k/d now and still just skull. lots of revives and headshots too... :?: -
I researched this heavily back in Black Ops. And my research holds true for Black Ops II. When you obtain Mule Kick, you get a third weapon slot. The next weapon you buy will take up that slot. Your weapons will be your first weapon, your second weapon, and your third weapon. When you go down and lose Mule Kick, you lose your third weapon slot, including the third weapon.... 99% of the time. Yes, that's right. That's because every time you grab a weapon, be it a wall weapon, wonder weapons, Box weapon, whatever. Be it grabbing your second weapon, third weapon, switching your weapon for another weapon, whatever. Anytime you do something with your weapons you have less than a 1% of the game misconfiguring your weapon order. I've experienced this many times myself. Let's take an example. Once on Moon I had the Wave Gun, the Ray Gun, and the HK21. I ran out of ammo for the HK21, so I switched it for the HS10 from the box. Then I noticed my weapon order was now Ray Gun, HS10, and Wave Gun. I figured out with tedious testing of going down with Mule Kick repeatedly that this happens rarely. 1% you may ask, that is such a small chance! But think of how many times with Mule Kick you change weapons over your zombie career... The odds add up. Just be comforted by the fact that it happens rarely. In the event that you notice the early signs that your weapon order has been mixed up, just be prepared, because now you don't know which weapon is considered your third. If you have a ton of points, you can down yourself at the end of the round so that you can get revived and get your weapon order fixed, because you will then know which was your third. Also, beware the Who's Who glitch, as that can do some real funky stuff to your weapons, of all kinds. i had this happen the other night, where being revived in who's who mode caused me only be able to shoot. couldnt change guns couldn't throw nades, couldnt get out trample steam nothing. so since we were already far along, i just got downed by one of the zombie stragglers we had, and then i got full ability back just had to re-buy perks. not a huge deal. however one of our players internet shut off and he got disconnected right after lol so it was all for naught

What's Your Main Reason For Downs / Ending Games?.
The Clay Bird replied to nockscitney's topic in General Zombies Discussion
So with no lag or glitches you would still be going on your first game of zombies? impressive  -
Rare Bunny Rabbit Reticule
The Clay Bird replied to ZoMBiE MaSSaCrE's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i've seen it acouple of times... i like the reticles in zombies... another great opportunity for a microitem pack with the PaP camos and reticles. please! lol -
cosign! grief is super fun, and would love to see some sections of die rise as grief maps, as well as nuketown. and the items part is especially cool and i was disappointed that there weren't more "griefing" items involved originally. i think they should completely eliminate the knifing/shooting other team players and instead create new items that would themselves make it tougher for the other team to survive
-
lol, this turned out to be false! :P
-
the thing is, when they designed the zombies mode back in WaW, it was simply a mini game, and especially on Nacht, it wasn't designed to get into that high of levels. the majority of players like EJ said, simply don't understand the mode well enough to develop the skills necessary to get to rounds that high. Still, even if the difficulty "flatlines" it doesnt get any easier after that, thus one small miss-step still spells death. so high rounds take not only time and persistence but flawless persistence. I don't think they need to change the engine at all to make it harder. Just keep making new and interesting maps and weapons and features, which overall in black ops 2 i would give them a B- so far for that

nuke 2025 free for everyone + microtransaction.
The Clay Bird replied to Matuzz's topic in General Zombies Discussion
if things like rank in a video game have that big of an adverse affect on your day to day life, i'd say that probably is for the best -
i was in no way bashing any theories about an underwater map, just stating that Jimmy Z's tweets in this case were not related to any map but to the rank system. much like most of his recent tweets not hating on your theory, but no i do not believe that Jimmy's boat metaphor in relation to the rank system has any subliminal undertones hinting toward future map placement, i think that's just too far of a stretch no offense
-
nah, Jimmy Z was just using the process of bailing water out of a sinking boat as a euphamism of if your rank is falling just have some good rounds (aka bail water out of the boat) to keep yourself afloat (keep you current rank) nice theory, but another instance of the community reading way too much into a jimmy z tweet :)
