Oh no, I got you. I'd personally be fine with it - I mean, if they were actually making a joke or celebration out of 9/11 that would be a different story of course. But there are some very sensitive people out there who would criticize the crap out of Treyarch for it. They'd be smart to just avoid it. I think our country has healed, i think going out of our way to NOT do something on 9/11 is pointless, yes it was a horrible day in our countries past but i feel like now it would be okay. I agree with Dunbarian...the pure nature of Call of Duty being a war game, it's just a good idea to avoid any controversy. Much of the nation has healed and come to terms with what happened on 9/11/01 but some have not i'm sure, and it's best from a marketing standpoint to avoid that potential controversy. I mean remember MW2 getting blasted for the level where you shoot up the airport because of the terrorism aspect... and that game came out 9 years after 9/11/01

Zombie disc 2 ? DLC seperated ?
The Clay Bird replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i know at least one of the Halo releases was 2 discs. yes production costs would increase, but the cost of the physical discs and creating them is so minute, it wouldn't greatly impact their margins. also regarding mulitplayer sales, i know this is a CoD zombies message board, but most of our community seems to overlook the fact that the vast majority of people are buying CoD for the Multiplayer and Campaign. Yes Zombies has grown, but multiplayer still makes up the vast majority of the play of the game. if anything I think it's helpful to both to have the DLC come together, because if might entice a fan of either of the game modes to try out the other facets of the game. -
9/11 is kinda pointless if a zombies trailer comes out lol. Seriously what is the big deal with 9/11 it was like 10 years ago come on. I mean no disrespect by the way. i'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you are rather young... meaning you were probably really really little when 9/11/01 happened... it is a big deal

Zombie disc 2 ? DLC seperated ?
The Clay Bird replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
One thing that makes me think this certainly could be possible, is the nature of the two sided poster (which is also the two sides of the steelbook case for the prestige/hardened editions) has one side of the soldier, and one of the girl with the zombie head... It seems feasable to me that perhaps we might see one disc for zombies and one for MP/campaign. I don't neccessarily think that will happen, but it wouldnt completely surprise me -
they sure are tittilating us with the slow drip method of releasing zombies teasers for us :P

Your Biggest Fears For Black Ops II
The Clay Bird replied to LILNIG's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i really like that they changed up the PaP camo... i like WaW's too but black ops was pretty sweet. I do hope they change it again for blops2. and it would be awesome that for some sort of zombies achievement you could unlock the camo skin for multiplayer :) -
also didn't see any grenade launcher attachments in the bit of MP gameplay i saw from gamescom, has anyone confirmed it's inclusion/exclusion? if there's no second chance and no noob tubes this will officially be the best cod game ever

General pre order question
The Clay Bird replied to D3adZombz3's topic in General Zombies Discussion
pretty tough to do actually. i called my local store and the day after they began taking the preorders online, my store said they were not taking preorders for hardened yet, and the ship to store option isnt available for hardened or care package, so the time window i think was pretty slim -
General pre order question
The Clay Bird replied to D3adZombz3's topic in General Zombies Discussion
gamestop really probably wouldn't know for sure. they can control the date it ships, but as far as how long it takes UPS or FedEx or whatever to get it to you is going to depend on location and how quickly their logistics work to get it to you. that said, it never hurts to ask, they may be able to confirm when it will ship -
Trying to work out reza elghazi new tweet ...
The Clay Bird replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
nah i don't think so... like Liam said, it is definitely appearing to be a cipher of some kind. I was also thinking an anagram at first, but based on the ones in the spoiler tags earlier in this thread, I didn't see anything that would really hold any relevance to zombies... -
General pre order question
The Clay Bird replied to D3adZombz3's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I was wondering this too, I preordered hardened from gamestop and did over night shipping as well... but to be on the safe side lol, i'm just gonna preorder a regular one ship to store, and go to the midnight release, because i was getting a copy for my gf anyway, so i figure that will cover me either way. i just won't tell her i opened her copy first lol -
Jimmy Zielinski teasing again.
The Clay Bird replied to punkrockzombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
sure, i didn't start a thread just because there have been so many NEW TWEET! threads lately, didn't want to clog things up if its nothing. i don't mind at all though :) -
Jimmy Zielinski teasing again.

Reza Elghazi just had an intriguing tweet, looked like it was some sort of cryptogram or something... it said " ¡WYNg DaDZU OaOaB OZ'Ua TWKZ!" :) -
Hey guys, birdman here, I realized that after being a member of the forum for over a year and a half, I never really gave a proper intro so here goes! My name is Clay, and I have been an avid zombies player since i bought world at war i believe around october of 2009, being as this was almost a year after its release I went ahead and purchased all of the map packs as well, so once i discovered zombies i had 4 maps to choose from. after playing Nacht for a while, we tried Verruckt and started really having fun with it playing split screen with my roommates and our gf's. Finally we discovered Der Reise, and perfected our split screen strategy, and was able to consistently get to the 30's no matter what combination of people we used, we all had a blast with it. Needless to say I was super psyched to hear black ops would have zombies, and was very happy to see how popular and successful the zombies part of the franchise was becoming. Black Ops zombies really got my other friends interested in the game which they had previously only played multiplayer on. It's been very fun to be a part of this community so far, and look forward to the new strategies, easter eggs, and stryline info from Black Ops 2! Happy Hunting! -birdman

Black Ops 2 Easter Eggs (Straight Up Epiphany)
The Clay Bird replied to xXExpertCoahXx's topic in General Zombies Discussion
i think one interesting thing would be if in addition to a regular EE in the map, theymight have additional steps to the easter eggs that are only able to be comp0leted upon reaching a certain roung... so it wouldn't exclude recreational players from completing an ee, but would provide extra challenge for those able to make it to high rounds..... just a thought 8-) -
