Yeah, really not getting why people can't comprehend all this. The only explanation is it's zombies and anything can happen.
-
Well the gravely voice is different from the old Samantha announcer is what I meant. The gravely voice is basically the little girl voice in the new version of the opening with an audio effect. +1 there
-
That's because the original voice doesn't have a chain smoker voice. It's demonic there, and isn't annoying even when Samantha speaks full sentences in the moon easter egg. It just sounded bad in the opening.

Well, you know, it's purgatory or hell, thus leaving the yellow uninterrupted given that it doesn't take place in the normal world.

Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins
ZombieOfTheDead replied to GRILL's topic in Origins
For the record, apparently MLG is streaming a preview of apocalypse tomorrow. This includes Origins fortunately. -
With all the planes, robots, details and such, frame rate is gone no matter what they do. They can't do fog all the time due to all those cool details that people want to see.
-
Besides, lets face it everyone, it wasn't that Tranzit was big, it was that damn fog, the lack of things in that fog, the denizens, and having to deal with that crap while just trying to get from location A to B if the bus wasn't there. Origins is more jam packed with stuff, and the cons are all gone (except maybe nothing in the inbetween areas).

Someone must learn there history. While it COULD refer to one of the various knightly orders, that is also an IRON cross, another symbol of Germany besides the Nazi symbol. BTW, they aren't Nazis in 1918.
-
The character's had dialogue?
-
Don't think so... But I do recall them saying Giant robots
-
Shit just got real... On a more serious note, I'd like to see how they're going to explain why Germany lost the war when they have these. EDIT: I looked on the facebook post with that, and learned we're also getting another trailer. Oorah.
-
Then why is Samantha narrating this if she's being stopped once and for all? I agree with Samantha not being who she seems, but you brought time travel with this too which is completely unnecessary if she isn't who she seemed.

I knew you were referring to that thread. My point still stands. Besides, this is zombies, they can take liberties. For godsake there are zombies. Last I checked, there weren't zombies in WWI. It would probably have all been covered up, if talked about in a historical standpoint, and again, the weapons could be prototypes. I can barely understand what you're trying to say on the second point... kinda confusing. If reality were altered it wouldn't be a prequel at all no matter what they did. If samantha went to the past and changed everything, then Maxis is completely irrelevant in agartha. Not quite sure what you were trying to say. -

The choice of words doesn't cover the large amount of time inconsistencies. 1. ...Because choose to believe it. Why do you people not want an alternate reality so much? 2.Very elaborate counter-argument you made there. "Just...no" should be the mantra of debate clubs. Time consistencies such as the weapons and such? Easily explained. Germans developed them or aliens, but since all the crazy crap happened they all couldn't be used, or salvaged rather. Weapons could also be prototypes, but most likely they just put them in there because they thought we'd realize that the weapons have been inconstant before. It also isn't relevant if Samantha is going back to the past. Why I don't want it to be an alternate reality is because it's supposed to be a prequel. Makes it seem as if everything else is for nothing. Not to mention, it would render the whole point of the towers pointless. Saying just no was not a counter argument. This would be my counter argument for why it's a stupid idea (no offense to those who want it). -

Thanks for clarifying that, I was gonna say... But the theory is that Samantha isn't an ordinary girl, hence the influence on Maxis (it's possible she isn't even his daughter based on how Richtofen made out the influence to be a recent thing). It's possible she can't age. We obviously can't know at this point, but she could be a spawn of Satan for all we know. Also gives us a way forward in terms of plot for BO3 if you think about it. -

Would sincerely doubt that. They made it pretty obvious that it's Samantha given the achievement, and her speaking in the opening. It'd be weird if it wasn't Samantha. -
115 discovered BEFORE origins. NEW RICHOFTEN LETTER 8/23
ZombieOfTheDead replied to Wingsofwar50's topic in Origins
It's incredibly unlikely that Richtofen would have the same subject for 27 years... -

Who else could it be? I don't think it would be a grown woman based on how Richtofen says "the girl" Why do you people want an alternate reality so much? Just... no. For the reasons Vyhl said and more -
1) of course not, thats the hidden image the was in the first trailer. it has to be AFTER he finished doing what he did tho, its missing its hand just like in the cinematic, and top of the head. 2)really? thats what your going with? lol ok 3) yeah we are, but how when she wasnt born yet? something isnt adding up either lol We never actually got Samantha's date of birth. For all we know, she can't age.

That's a stretch, but hey. I think it's more likely an explorer from say the renaissance, but that's just me. None the less it does get more interesting by the minute. -
mine was alil more along the lines of "Holy fu*king sh*t" Yeah, I just looked at that... Holy balls... :o
-
Guess not, lol. They were probably trying to cover that up with the smoker voice.
-
Actually sounds like the old voice without the chain smoker effect. Just the way she says things.

Could be the name of the unknown Mexican Richtofen killed. Also to note that maxis isn't the leader of 935. I would doubt that. My guess is that it'd be some kind of explorer of sorts, or a member of the knights who were stuck in the ruin. -

I tried looking up this "Pablo Marinus," but to no avail. Nothing on him. Someone else can try if they'd like.
