What Makes a Wonder Weapon a Wonder Weapon?
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is similar to the mindset I have regarding the matter, really. Any weapon that has those "unique characteristics" is deemed a Wonder Weapon to me. -
What Makes a Wonder Weapon a Wonder Weapon?
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Interesting thought, but shouldn't the fact that random survivors made weapons that can effectively kill zombies come into this equation? -
I've seen this question pop up quite a few times, not only on here but in-game as well. Randoms will say that they're getting the Wonder Weapon on Die Rise, while another "corrects" them in saying that the Sliquifier is not such a weapon. So I ask you all, what defines a Wonder Weapon? To me, I believe any weapon in the game that meets the following criteria is a Wonder Weapon: It is a strange, unique type of weapon that you wouldn't expect to find in real life scenarios. It does a great deal of damage, usually being able to one-shot-kill zombies and other enemies for a good number of rounds. It is "tough" to obtain, either requiring luck with the Mystery Box or other ways.

Feeling horribly unneeded.

Welcome back Eric! Can't say I personally saw you much here, but I am well acquainted with your Youtube videos!

Hahaha, is it you dont play Extinction alot? or it just never occured to you? Oh no, I play Extinction quite a lot, actually. I just like using the Hazmat and Astronaut better!
-
I just realized that although I have the Extinction Squad pack, I don't use them in Extinction itself. I use them primarily in MP.

I'm down, we should be able to get this done pretty early on. Count me in, doods. This sounds awesome. -
New update released recently

What do you mean? The AW Camo Pack came out for BO2 and Ghosts. How does it not affect BO2? -
Well, the title says it all. Who is your character when you play Extinction? Do you use a special character like Makarov? A clan character like the Body Count warrior? Or is your character something of your own creation? Feel free to share pictures as well if you like! Personally, my Extinction character is either the Hazmat or the recently released Astronaut, mainly because they both just fit in so well with the theme of the mode. Also, although I have characters like Zakhaev and Price, I just find it weird when I play as them and find that their voices do not match their characters at all. Zakhaev should never sound like a surly black man.

Hey guys, I found all of the intel for Mayday a while back, and decided to make a video on all of them. Hope you enjoy!

I like it when I need a distraction! It can be pretty fun at times, but also kind of too hectic at others. I also dislike that the mode gives you very little XP, despite how many Cryptids you kill. Either way, it's fun and and a fresh take on the mode. Also, @way2g00d we should really play some time. We haven't in what feels like forever.

Major Surgery - A Difficult Task, Just Got A Little Bit Easier
Flammenwerfer replied to Hells Warrrior's topic in Site News
The news just keeps getting better and better, eh? -
Welcome to CoDz! You must be one of the only people here who plays primarily on the Wii! Hopefully you can get a more powerful console in the coming months! I hear 360s are going to get even cheaper.

This patch could have also been to add the Advanced Warfare preorder camo to the set now that it's available. -
The Beta of COD Zombies [WAW, BO1, BO2]
Flammenwerfer replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm pretty sure there is a Graveyard next to Generator 4. Storage could have been one of the small areas in between the spawn and Generators 2 and 3 where you can find parts for the Riot Shield. Also, I want to say that the Farmhouse is what you're thinking, with it being the blown up house at Generator 5. -
Is there any map you can't get into?
Flammenwerfer replied to Marlton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I always have some issues getting into Shi No Numa and Shangri-La. Shi No Numa mainly because I've been spoiled lately by maps with Pack-a-Punch, and I've never been into jungle-type maps. Shangri-La is somewhat like this too, but I'm just indifferent to it. It doesn't give me the good vibes. However, I still like both of these maps, and will play them if people are up to it. -
The Beta of COD Zombies [WAW, BO1, BO2]
Flammenwerfer replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Awesome thread, mate. I love reading about beta/cut features, although I already knew most of these. I have a couple to add. In one of Verruckt's trailers, they show the BAR with Bipod being used in the small room on the American spawn room. This is the same room where the BAR with Bipod can be bought, therefore showing the reason why there is the window looking into the Thompson room. In the final version of the map, it is impossible to use the Bipod with any weapon, and after this map, no weapons have a Bipod. In one of the Rezzurection trailers, Nikolai can be seen using the flamethrower attachment on an assault rifle on Moon. This is likely to be the Red Mist, aka the upgraded AK-47, which is in the game files for the map. -
Top 5 Best and Worst theories of all time
Flammenwerfer replied to Black Hand Smith's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I fully agree that the Marlton is Dead theory was silly right from the get go, and I felt a sort of satisfaction when the trailer came out showing Marlton himself. Probably one of the worst theories I've heard is the Two Earths theory way back from Moon. This theory was caused by the skybox glitching out and showing the blown up Earth on No Man's Land. Lots of people immediately thought that there were essentially two Earths, which wasn't true in the slightest, at least not to me. I can't really say what the best theory is, though. There have been so many in the past five years and I just can't name one. Most of them have been really good, actually.- 5 replies

You guys say that as if the same team that deals with the glitches and hacks are the same people that make these micro-DLCs. The entire dev team isn't working on these DLC packs, nor is the entire dev team working every day to fix glitches. Every time a glitch is fixed, two more appear. That's just the unfortunately reality of most software, and they are trying their best. When something in the game is changed, they need to get approval from the higher ups before they can do anything about it. Then they have to actually work on determining what is causing the issues. Fixing a glitch isn't as simple as a single click and a change in code. But of course, I'm going to get berated for this because I'm defending Infinity Ward and the actual programming progress they have to go through instead of saying they suck and everything should be free and everything like that.
-
Are you implying that these micro dlcs are an innovation? No, but they are new (in terms of the announcer packs). I'm just saying that every time a CoD makes changes, people get upset. When a CoD doesn't make changes, people get upset. There's no winning for the devs.

I don't care what y'all say, I'm getting that Snoop Dogg pack. Know why? Because I actually like this game. Shocking, isn't it?! That I want to buy more content for a game I enjoy? All this hate everywhere on the internet and I'm sick of it. This customization content clearly isn't for you if you don't like the game. It's for the people, like me, who like the game in its entirety and wish to customize it in these ways. It's not "jumping the shark." It's not "throwing in the towel." These micro-DLCs aren't meant to bring in a new audience. Nobody is going to see these and say "Oh, well now I want to play CoD Ghosts!" It's for the people who actually like the game, not for the demographic who already doesn't like the game enough to play it. It's something new that Infinity Ward is trying to do, yet all people want to do is hate on them again. Or hate on the game. Or hate on Call of Duty as a whole. People always want innovation from CoD, but never the innovations they try.

Ah, but see, not everything can be so easily programmed. Something like that would be quite difficult to solve in a short time (gameplay wise). Let's say, for example, that if those 7 zombies that Slade mentioned spawned instead of 6, Treyarch programmed an algorithm to check if the total amount of zombie animations match the total previous amount or less than. If they are greater than the previous total, then the game would simply "delete" or nullify that extra zombie. However, while this sounds good in theory, it could be horrible in actual gameplay. The match itself could lag with those calculations, or just outright freeze your console/PC. Like Slade said, there is most likely a good reason that Treyarch just implemented this crash function in order to prevent worse problems from occurring.

In Solo and Custom games, you can select new difficulty levels. Regular is the standard that we've been playing since launch. I've been playing around with Hardcore and I'll update on what I find. -Damage dealt is increased. Running the Do Less Damage will bump it up to regular damage. -Skill Points can ONLY be earned through completing challenges. You do not get a point for destroying a hive. -Stronger Cryptids appear earlier. Had two Hunters on the second hive, and 5 Hunters on the third. -Seekers will appear almost infinitely during some waves. -Ricochet Friendly Fire is turned on. If you shoot your teammate by accident, you'll take damage. -Rhinos and Scorpions seem to have more health.
