  1. I can definitely see the M1911 being a box weapon. It's coded in there already; Treyarch just has to make it possible for the playter to obtain without having to already have every other weapon in their inventory. Also, I don't think we'll see the Pack-a-Punch per se, but rather the machine that inspired the Pack-a-Punch. This is evidenced by Richtofen not knowing what it exactly was in Der Riese (the first map with the machine). Of course, it is entirely possible that we could see a phasing PaP like in MotD instead.
  2. That's not entirely true. If you were to stop the event from occurring, then the original intended event, in this case, Richtofen being the first and only person to enter the MPD, would still happen. Thus, that future would never exist to repeat itself. Look at Future Trunks from DBZ, for example. He came from a future where the Androids destroyed the world basically. However, by coming back, he helped to change that from ever happening. He intervened in the past. Still, though, if someone intelligent and researched on the subject of the Aether like Richtofen was couldn't do something like time manipulation/ignorance, then what makes anyone think a little girl could?
  3. That's debatable. He managed to convince multiple groups of people to do his bidding. That's pretty competent if you ask me.
  4. You guys are forgetting something. Nacht Der Untoten was credited as the second outbreak of the zombies, the first being at Der Riese. That would have had to have happened in the 1940s. This map takes place in 1917 (supposedly). I don't think we'll learn of the "origins" (lol) of NDU as well.

This map is set during World War One. 1977, to be exact. Nazi Germany didn't exist until after its conclusion in 1933.
  6. Why is it so hard to believe that these zombies AREN'T controlled by anyone? It's stated that this map takes place at the UNEARTHING of the Element 115. The first contact of it, if you will. It's entirely possible that these zombies are just zombies, out to obtain human flesh. Seriously. It isn't even confirmed if the user in the Aether can manipulate time. If they could, then why wouldn't Richtofen just zap back to when Samantha jumped into the MPD in the first place and summon zombies there to prevent it from happening? Then he'd have the whole world to play with without needing any help from four random survivors on a blown up Earth right from the get-go.
  7. I'm certain they'll find a way to make it work, even if they have to make every window unboarded upon spawn or something similar.
  8. This. Entirely this. I, as well as a bunch of other long-term zombie players, would rather have a map that actually explains WHY things are the way they are instead of progressing the story even more and making more questions than answers. Buried is most likely the end of the main BOII story arc.
  9. Oh man, I did as well. I'm so hyped for both this map and their new album. My body is so ready.
  10. Perks are coming back, seeing as how the press release stated that there was a "new perk machine". Buildables are also a staple of Black Ops II, so I can definitely see them coming back in some way.
  11. Well, it's most likely the name of the game mode, not the map. For example, how TranZit is the game mode and Green Run is the map.
  12. They most likely won't. The bank and weapons locker, as well as the persistent upgrades, only apply to maps with the N4.
  13. They weren't a waste. They were there to advance the storyline, just like any other side quest. If you think that they weren't important, then whatever, that's you, but you cannot deny that they were there for nothing. Buried was the conclusion to the BOII storyline. Origins the introduction to the entire Zombies storyline. If anything, the story will "continue" in Treyarch's next game.
  14. Come on, of course we're playing as them. If we weren't, they wouldn't be so emphasized in the Origins trailer. We would have seen our "actual" playable characters if our O4 weren't them.
  15. I think there's only one giant. I also think it'll be a great gameplay mechanic. I mean, what else would put pure and utter terror into your heart more than a giant metal man stomping around you? It creates the perfect atmosphere in my opinion, moreso than George, the Napalm zombie, the Cosmonaut, etc. Heck, maybe we can even control it! Now wouldn't that be epic! :D
  16. No, you are correct! We'd also be seeing a non-drunk Nikolai (with a sexy beard, I might add) as well. Their current personalities are directly because of Richtofen's tests on them in the 1940's.
  17. You would make a giant robot if you had a sample of 115? Oh Alpha. ;)
  18. I doubt it. Reznov was 4 at the time of this map. He was a major character in World War Two, not One.
  19. They were Quick Revive, Juggernog, Speed Cola and Double Tap.
  20. A part of me wants to have all of the old WaW weapons back for this map, but I really doubt that would happen. Although, I'm sure some weapons will return, like the Trench Gun (come on Treyarch, that's an easy one!). The weapons aren't really canon except for the Wonder Weapons, so I'm sure we'll still see our BOII guns in the box. Also, if MotD could incorporate perks, I'm sure this map will as well. Maybe we'll see the inspirations for the perks and use those instead.
  21. Looks more like a zombie head to me. ;)
  22. Everyone remembers that achievement. We had to complete Richtofen's Grand Scheme on the moon. However, a lot of people wondered what it really meant. Are our characters sleeping in their cryostasis? Not right now, because not even Maxis can locate his daughter. This would be simple if she was just "sleeping" on the moon. No, this "cryogenic" slumber party isn't going to happen...because it already did. Hear me out. In the trailer, we saw our O4 in a youthful state. Yet, they aren't as youthful as we would have first thought. They still look quite old, like late 20's or early 30's. Of course, this couldn't be the case timewise because that would make them in their 60's or 70's during the events of WaW. So, how do we explain that? Simple. We just take out the factor of time. And how do we do that? Cryostasis. Now, I'm not usually the one for theories, but this is what I have. (I will be talking as if this is what is happening/going to happen. It is NOT confirmed.) Judging from the letters and images, Maxis appears to have a large role in this map. Perhaps, at the time, he was younger, maybe in his teens. Anyway, he (the "Doctor") was doing research in France during WW1. Makes sense; he helped his German comrades during WWII as we know. However, when his faithful assistant Richtofen appeared to help him, all hell broke loose. His mechanical giant escaped and went rampant. Luckily, with the help of the other three soldiers that appeared from other nations at the wish of their superiors, the giant was taken down. Maxis found these four soldiers quite formidable, so he concocted a plan. He had Richtofen and the other soldiers put into cryostasis for the future, in case he needed a plan B. Of course, his faithful assistant was fine with this, but the other three? Probably not. Hence the need for the memory wipe. Anyway, after these events, he ships them off to Der Riese, the area in which he created the mechanical giant. Flash forward to the future. Maxis' Der Riese facility was in full force due to the request of Nazi Germany. He is quite older now, so he needs assistance. Who better than good ole Richtofen, the man who aided him in World War 1? He unfreezes him, and they are set to work. After the discovery of the effects of 115, Richtofen himself unfroze his three unconventional allies for his super-soldier tests. Unfortunately, during this time, Dempsey's cryostasis chamber was lost/taken by the Americans, so he had to "replace" him with the unknown Mexican. During these tests, the men aged more, not by much, but enough to be noticeable. But yes, that is basically my theory. It most likely has a lot of holes in it, but I'm sure you all got the main idea for it.
  23. "Strange Discovery" Oh goodness. I also laughed at all the fakes that had different fonts and fontstyles than the main game's. Like, really? You couldn't put in a little bit more time and try to actually make your FONT resemble the actual one?
  24. I really do think that "Buried" ended the main BOII storyline. With all the hints of DLC 4 being a prequel, I think we'll end the game's life off with a bang, just not something as huge as Richtofen's Grand Scheme.
  25. There is no way they would release the DLC that late into the game's lifespan. I'm thinking sometime this month.
