Your Top 5 LEAST Favorite Maps Thus Far?
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I like it, but not nearly as much as some other maps. :P -
That part actually made me quite sad. Poor Mason.
-
Well, yes, but he was still messed up from the brainwashing. He never fully recovered from the numbers. Seeing Kravchenko again likely didn't help, and is probably the reason he saw Reznov again.

Wow, this is actually a really interesting connection! Their poses are almost exactly the same! Seems a little out of place, though. Why would Afterlife exist in NZ? Still, nice find, mate.

Your Top 5 LEAST Favorite Maps Thus Far?
Flammenwerfer replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Oh lord, the Black Ops DS maps...horrible. Just horrible... -
I know that the "what's your favorite map?" topic has been around and overdone since the site's creation, but I was thinking, and I realized that I've rarely ever seen a least favorite map thread. So, tell me, what are your top five least favorite maps? (Let's leave DOA out of this.) I'll start. 5. Shi No Numa This map was great in it's time. Fairly big compared to NDU and Verruckt, new zombies types, the Wunderwaffe, the swamp setting; it all seemed as fresh as the vegetation that resided within. However, it is mainly because of this setting that I'm not the biggest fan of it. The map is pretty plain, and is so damn easy that it can get boring really fast. It also doesn't hold up today as it did in 2009, with the lack of Pack-a-Punch giving players nothing to save up points for. However, it's still a fun map to play, it would just be much more enjoyable with today's mechanics. VERDICT: 7.5/10 4. "Five" Four is "Five" here on my list. This map is really neat, with a great cast (my favorite by far) and an interesting location. It's just a shame that the map is made up of entirely copy/pasted locations from the Black Ops campaign. While the locale is intersting, the map structure itself is unoriginal and boring. It also leads to tough areas to hold out in. The only things that really save this map for me are great characters and the Pack-a-Punch mechanic, which requires the special door to be opened. Also, screw the Thief. VERDICT: 6/10 3. Call of the Dead Call of the Dead is a really "meh" map to me. The lead up to it was great, with a really unique cast and a strange new uber-zombie in the form of my favorite director, George A. Romero. It was also the map that made me decide that I should finally join this forum. However, the map did not live up to the hype. The fog was annoying, George angered almost everyone, and areas looked boring. The only redeeming qualities in this map for me were the very original side quest, the return of the Wunderwaffe (albeit in power-up form...), the Scavenger, and the relatively easy way to Pack-a-Punch. Everything else flopped for me, though, and in the end, just wasn't the map for me. I really hate snow. VERDICT: 5.5/10 2. Green Run/TranZit Gonna make this one short and sweet. Denizens, lava, large but empty, easy side quest with little regarding the story and backstory, and overhyped to the max. Richtofen should have chosen a better location. I'll still play it, though. VERDICT: 4/10 1. Shangri-La Shangri-La is the only zombies map that I will rarely ever play. There is no way into the temple that they advertised a lot, the new zombies are some of the largest nuisances in the entire game, the side quest is unnervingly long, the area is too small for my liking, I could go on. Although the other four maps are on my list, I still enjoy them to some extent. But this map? No. It is the only map I hate. I could only wish that my burning hate for it would burn the map to a crisp, with its annoying Napalm zombies and everything. VERDICT: 1/10

Well now. Perhaps this is just a rare occurrence. :|

Yeah, I could have sworn they said that the relationship would "continue" or something like that. I was pretty disappointed with the lack of Reznov in this game, "hallucination" or not.
-
Haha, yeah, they seem to love spawning there. The roof always allows for strange spawns. I once had one spawn behind a barrier. It wasn't trying to take the boards down, though, and just kept trying to lunge at me. Needless to say I had to wait until it died off. :|

Definitely just a case of re-used soundclips. Remember all those Denizen sounds in the pre-release trailers for MotD?
-
Well when I play solo, I always hit the laundry room for the clothes on round 1 or 2 (big thanks to perfectlemonade for the suggestion. Nothing better than racking up 10k points on round 1!), but I've never had Brutus spawn from activating it. The earliest I've seen Brutus was round 4, and I assumed it was because I had started the steps for getting the Hell's Retriever. Does this happen in both Solo and Co Op? Or is it just on Co Op? Well, judging from what you said, it seems that this is co-op only.

The Sticky medal has been updated so that only one topic needs to be stickied or announced in order to gain the medal, until further notice.

If I were a betting man, I'd have to agree with you. Just makes it easier for the players with M14's and M1911's. ;)

Was Die Rise just a filler for MOTD?
Flammenwerfer replied to HypeRedemption's topic in Mob of the Dead
I don't think Die Rise itself was a filler map. It was a fun (albeit boring near the end of its lifespan) map, and it had its purposes story-wise. However, I do think Who's Who was a sort of "prototype" for Afterlife mode itself. They're both pretty similar, and I don't think we'll see Who's Who in another map. Also, nice hashtag. ;) -
I rather enjoyed it. We only had M14's at the time so it was a blessing in disguise.
-
Well, really, the best thing to have is a good team. If you have a full lobby, and everybody gets a part, only one person has to go back and grab another (hopefully the part in the infirmary, as it's the closest to the roof). If you don't have a co-operating team, then it is going to be difficult unless you get a lucky break. :|
-
I don't think they're used at all for gameplay purposes, but rather for scenery. They allude to strange origins of these Alcatraz zombies, seeing as how a ritual most likely took place instead of the standard 115 infection. At least, that's my take on it.

It's not so much as "offensive" to me, but rather just annoying. Like seriously, a penis? Wow, look at you, Mr. Maturity. Sometimes I wish there was an option to just hide user emblems.

Welcome, Rookie! Nice to have you here! It's great to see that another user directed you here; perhaps now you'll do the same? We're an awesome community, and we can always have more awesome-ness.

You know, I really want some sort of EE to change the control of the zombies...but I feel that if there was one, we'd have found it by now. I'm starting to think that the yellow-eyed zombie in the trailer was just a mistake on Treyarch's part. :|

I was playing a game with Lithium tonight and we discovered something...strange. It was round 4, and we had one zombie left. We decided "Hey, let's get the clothes from the washer." seeing as how it was such a low round. What we expected was a horde of zombies. Instead, we only got Brutus. It was pretty strange; we've never had that happen before. Has this happened to any of you guys?
-
Yup. That's it. My sides have ascended into the heavens.

CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS (Hardened Edition) Cover
Flammenwerfer replied to DarthVaderTX's topic in Ghosts
It definitely looks like someone just put "Hardened Edition" on the regular cover. Besides, they always have a completely different cover for the special editions. -
I just wish that there was a ranking system that was based solely on the amount of points you earn, just like MP. The handheld Black Ops Zombies for mobile devices has a similar system that would work amazing in Black Ops II Zombies.
-
I use the same perk/wildcard set up with every class, basically. [Weapon][Attachment][Attachment] Perk 1: Hardline Perk 2: Scavenger/Cold-Blooded Perk 3: Engineer/Tactical Mask Wildcards: Perk 2 Greed, Perk 3 Greed Seems to work well for me. I rarely use grenades or equipment.
